Master Control
Chapter 59
"T-this is amazing." Izuku held up his fist, which was significantly larger and shaped like a claw from a piece of construction equipment. Despite the size of it, it hardly weighed anything. "And how many preloaded designs do you have inside of it?"
"Well." Melissa came forward while lifting the pair of old aviator style goggles off her eyes. "While I have over about two hundred and thirty presets, a good amount of them are just variations of some base designs while many others demand more nanites than I have available."
Clicking the side button on the gauntlet Izuku sported, the metal was pulled in on itself until all that remained was a small gunmetal watch with brass highlights. The center had a small pulsing blue center, Izuku unclipping the bottom and handing it back to the inventor.
He couldn't help but notice a lot of the designs were similar. "Was your inspiration Power Loader?"
"He was!" Melissa went over towards her computer, placing the watch on a small podium next to it for it to connect directly. "Even though he has a good quirk, he managed to accomplish so much through his technological suit to the point he only uses his quirk one out of five encounters!"
"Exactly!" Izuku immediately matched her enthusiasm as she began to type away. "His intelligence is amazing to the point his robotics expertise impressed Nezu!"
"Too bad he doesn't use his equipment much anymore."
Izuku flinched, almost feeling guilty for being the reason behind that. "H-he seems happy with his quirk awakening though."
"Oh don't get me wrong." Melissa spun around in her chair to face him. "His quirk awakening is amazing, and I'm glad he's become a lot more confident in himself. I just miss seeing the new updates to his exo suits so frequently."
He could understand to a degree, mostly when they would update his toyline. It's the closest he ever got to collecting gundam kits.
"You go to UA right?" Turning back to her computer, Melissa began going through a few more potential updates to her nanite band. "What do you know about their quirk awakening techniques?"
A whole lot more than she could realize.
"I know it's classified." Izuku was getting much better at lying. "Are you trying to support your quirk with technology?"
"I don't have one." Finally giving up on her task, Melissa scooted back to have a short stretch. "But I was curious if their methods might even provoke a quirk awakening in a quirkless gene. Then again, if that was possible they would have asked you already. I wanted to be a hero like Uncle Might for sometime, but when I found out I was quirkless I decided to follow in my father's footsteps by making support gear. With the potential of nanites though…"
He could empathize in a way, wanting to be a hero but finding out you can't or shouldn't. But even after all this time, the desire to be one never leaves. Well, it wouldn't hurt to help a little.
Selecting a particular alien mentally Izuku quickly manifested a quirk from Gray Matter to have himself. Luckily it showed no physical changes, but his mind was enhanced and filled with knowledge that could reshape the planet.
Leaning over Melissa, Izuku ran his eyes over the screen. "It's amazing the progress you've already made. So far you've managed to have a nanite sustaining rate of over ninety five percent for each task utilizing a central command module."
"Y-yes." Melissa didn't realize how easily he could catch onto her notes. "I've been trying to alter the casings between different alloys to increase their integrity enough."
"Hmm, I can see how a couple of them might work but your manufacturing methods couldn't synthesize anything fast enough to warrant the effort."
"So you think the issue lies in our nano metallurgy?" Putting the goggles back over her eyes, Melissa scooted over to a separate screen to review their current methods.
"It's just one factor." Izuku crouched in front of the computer, his fingers possessed by his new mind and already calculating a million different solutions. "Our end goal is to have sustainable, reusable nanites that can switch tasks at atleast a one one decillionth of a nanosecond."
"That fast?!" Melissa began to have her doubts about that as a goal, but when she saw the numbers flying onto her screen from his input she wondered if it was possible. "Why those speeds?"
"They only have a diameter of fifty microns, and would need to relocate themselves anywhere from one inch to ten feet in a single command to generate a reliable support matrix. Simplifying the molecular shell to only two elements could allow production time to match the command and cut its manufacturing method to, what I estimate, about one hundred twenty four thousand and ninety eight increase in efficiency. At least at the bare minimum design."
"And how small is that?" Sliding across the room on her seat, Melissa stared numbly at the screen. "Oh my All Might."
"So?" All Might leaned over David's work as he used the controls before himself to operate the robotics on the other side of the glass. Needles and tiny saws going to work on multiple lifeless monstrosities. "What have you learned so far?"
"Whoever is behind its creation." David narrowed his eyes as he analyzed the most recent readings. "Has vast knowledge on quirk factors. Much more than myself. If they can manipulate this many in a single host, they're probably the closest person to unlocking the secrets to complete artificial quirk creation. I never even thought of trying to take this approach."
At least, for humans. To think that a boy was in possession of an alien device that could erase, and then generate its own quirks to give to whoever. Luckily it was on their side, and not in All for One's grasp.
"From what I've gathered." Pivoting one of the arms to latch onto a crystal from the dead nomu and hold it up, the scientist gestured towards it. "They were able to use some method of using that boy's alien traits, and then grow a creature around it. Though it doesn't seem to carry an official quirk. It's similar to some of the others, but it seems like they're turning quirks into life of its own inside a host through dangerous mutations. I am noticing some very similar traits between some of them, almost siblings but only sharing selected quirk factors."
That news confirmed All Might's fears. All for One couldn't just take quirks now, he had a method of duplicating and sharing whatever quirk he found to give to any who served him. If he managed to get a hold of a powerful quirk that could rival One for All, it would spell disaster.
"Luckily the production must be extremely difficult." David began to explain. "Otherwise once they made one nomu, they could just make more of the same one until it overwhelmed an area. There's also the fact that each one has shown traits unique to itself. I can't imagine if they managed to make one 'All Might killer' that they would pass up the chance to make another."
"Meaning?"
"Their base host must only be compatible with certain types of quirks." The man began to theorize. "Or maybe when All for One takes a quirk, it doesn't necessarily make the person fully quirkless. There's a lot of possibilities, but for now at least we know that we won't be seeing two kinds of the same nomu. Still, it's a shame that curing them isn't an option at the moment given how their quirks are heavily integrated into the foundation of their DNA."
"Then that makes it harder to prepare for." All Might clenched his fist, tired of playing a game of chase after generations of heroes failed to truly defeat the man.
Before, it was just him. Now they had to worry about all sorts of monstrosities to fight against. Luckily, they had more help than ever with Kendo promising to return if they found him, Providence with its continued growth, and young Midoriya who could summon the strength of any alien in the universe.
Thinking on Providence, All Might had decided it was best to allow their involvement more openly in Japan. To do so, he would have to support them openly. Hopefully he could convince David of the same.
"David." The hero began, earning his friend's attention. "About Providence-"
"Oh yes, of course." The man nodded before getting back to his work. "My full support. I would never pass up on the chance to examine alien technology firsthand."
Well, that was easier than expected.
"Take that!" Ochaco held up the toy blaster, shooting at each of the small ships at the back of the booth. Her shots were hasty, rapid, but somehow finding their mark on lots of them.
*DING DING DING*
"Yes!" Ochaco managed to get enough points to win herself a prize, now which one to pick?
"You're awfully good with a gun." Momo commented as Ochaco claimed her prize.
"Thanks! Oh wait, how come you never use anything like guns? Wouldn't it be super easy to make? And you'd have pretty much infinite ammo."
"Well." It's not the first time she's wondered about the possibilities herself. "Unfortunately, due to the possibilities of my quirk I've had to sign several agreements entering UA to never craft several items. Most of them being weapons used in warfare."
"How come?"
"It's part of the Hero legislation when the industry began to become accepted. They wanted to draw a clear line for the differences between hero work and an active military. If I wanted to use anything that deadly, I would first have to be a partnered recruit of the JSDF."
"Ohhhh." Ochaco could understand that. In fact, she should already know this given she's in a hero school. Maybe they would cover this in class soon? Or worse, they already did and she totally forgot. "Hey, doesn't Snipe use a gun?"
"Good point. He could have some military ties and-"
A loud and stiff voice suddenly called out to them. "Ah! More classmates!"
Tenya began to approach, and next to him sitting in a motorized wheelchair was-
"PONY!" Ochaco and Momo ran up to the girl, enveloping her in an instant embrace.
"We missed you so much!" The ravenette squeezed the poor girl until she had to tap out.
"What are you doing here?!" The gravity wielder immediately asked, giving her some space. "I thought it was super hard to get to I-island."
Raising her stump of a leg with a bud at the end, Pony began to share. "It's not as bad coming from America. Plus, my Dad has some friends here so we arranged to see if they could assemble a prosthetic that works with my leg. They say they'll have a prototype ready by the end of the day after getting fitted this morning."
With a swift chop, Tenya made his point known. "My family has connections to I-island as well. But what about yourselves?"
"I always visit with my parents on their business here." Momo began to answer, but seemed less sure about the next part. "Though oddly enough Principal Nezu suggested I invite Ochaco for business she isn't aware of."
"Yeah." The very girl she mentioned seemed confused about the whole thing. "I don't know if this is an extra test or something, but I won't pass up a free ticket to the expo."
"Excuse me." Tenya pointed towards the stuffed toy in her possession. "But which hero is that? I don't recognize them."
"Ah." Ochaco held up the box that held a mech kit inside with green light up eyes. "It's from some show I recently got into. This is the main hero, Monolith."
"Excuse me." Pony piped up from below as she glanced around the crowd. "Have you guys seen anyone else we know here?"
"No." Momo answered simply. "Is there someone in particular you're expecting?"
Not knowing if she should tell or not, or if her boyfriend would be disguised as an alien, she decided to keep her mouth shut until she knew for sure-
Her eyes found the head of green walking through the crowd smiling as he was chatting away. Pony was about move towards his direction until she spotted another person next to him, someone without a mutation quirk, blonde, American, a girl, walking on two good legs.
With a violent shake in her horns, Pony huffed, and she puffed, and she was going to knock some heads down.
"P-pony?!" Tenya leapt out of the way as the girl suddenly zoomed away on her wheelchair. "Where are you going?!"
Standing before a rather large booth that was almost its own building, Izuku was shocked by the levels of merchandise it had.
Of him.
"Any catch your eye?" Melissa asked right next to him, reaching out to grab a plush version of Brainstorm. "I kind of like this guy, but honestly I don't need any more."
"More?"
"Yeah!" Melissa pulled out her phone, scrolling through some of the toys she collected. "Those new heroes in Japan are a real hit! Especially with everything going on to see them come out to help is a big statement. Especially with all the prejudice caused by the more recent villains."
Prejudice? Of what?
While he kept trying to think of the meaning with his human brain (He realized he was going to end up going overboard in her personal lab) Melissa began pointing towards some of the heroes she already had or just generally liked.
"Swampfire is so universal, and Gutrot has so much potential! I'm a little surprised Lego hasn't openly sponsored Bloxx yet. Oh, do you think Diamondhead and Chromastone are related? They're so similar yet also have such different quirks to-"
"AHEM."
They turned around, then followed the rather large and pointy horns down towards the owner. Izuku was about to hug her, but instead wanted to hide from that very pointed glare towards him. "H-hi Pony. I didn't know you'd be here."
"You two know each other?"
Dragging her gaze over to Melissa, Pony's voice came low and threatening. "Who's this?"
"Oh!" Melissa recognized the girl, seemingly ignorant of how much danger was right in front of her. "I recognize you from the sports festival! I'm Melissa Shield."
And the anger dropped, Pony's mind slapped by the revelation to the point she nearly jumped up. "Shield?! As in David Shield?!"
"Yep." The girl was used to that reaction. "I'm his daughter."
Well that explained everything! Grabbing her hand, Pony gave it some wild shakes to barely express her excitement. "I'm Pony! It's amazing to meet you! Well I didn't really know you but I know your Dad and all his work with All Might!"
"Yeah." Melissa let her arm be thrown around like a ragdoll. "That's how most people know him."
"Pony!" The others came rushing over, taken aback by the sudden appearance of Izuku and another stranger. "Izuku?!"
Phone? Check. Latest handheld console? Check. Money taken from Izuku's wallet that he forgets exists? Check. Speakers she uses as earbuds inside her head? Check. Power bank and some random cords? Eh, not like she would be out that long. Clothes? Never.
In her eternally messy room, Himiko swirled in place to create her outfit for the day. Baggy black sleeveless shirt with her streaming logo, shorts that would make any father cry in shame, overly long socks that almost make her shorts into pants, and some bright shoes.
Hmm, nah.
Scratching at her feet, she immediately made her previously pristine white sneakers look like they were thrown into a lawnmower filled with the blood of the grass.
Now for the final touch! Slapping the sides of her blonde bus, she let her hair turn into a pixie cut while the rest of it formed into big headphones with decals of fangs along the side. Not that these worked to play music, but it was a good way to keep people from talking to her if they thought she was deaf to the world.
Exiting her room, Himiko ducked under Kegio flight path as he bolted away from Rumi jumping from wall to wall to try and get some more speed.
"Frickin blubies."
"Himiko!" Eri chastised from her spot in the living room, where Mina and Eijiro were also hanging out as they visited. "Stop using it like a slur!"
"I can't help it!" The shapeshifting teen walked over to the kitchen, stretching slightly taller to reach the cabinet where the sweets were stored. "You have no idea how many slurs I'm filled with! I should have a medal for the level of restraint it takes to keep back the dam of forbidden words."
"You mean." The rocky teen grinned wide to show his sharped diamond teeth. "The damn words?"
"Nooo!" Placing her hands around Shinji's ears, or where Mina assumed they were, the pink girl spat her tongue at Eijiro. "Curse you for using such naughty language around children."
"Curse me?" Himiko opened up the wooden door to where her plate of fudge would have been waiting, if the fatass that was Enji wasn't busy scarfing them into his face. "Curse you!"
Manhandling the child (while making sure she didn't actually hurt him) Himiko plopped him on the couch to leave the scolding for later. "Whatever. I'm off. I'll be back in time for dinner."
"Wait, really?" Getting up from the floor, Mina intercepted Himiko before she could go outside. "Where to? Can we come?!"
"Eh, it's not exactly your kind of crowd." Easily slipping around Mina, Himiko gave them a short wave as she started her solo adventure and closed the door behind herself, leaving Mina to pout in place.
"Every crowd is my kind of crowd." She grumbled. "Eri, use your time powers to spy on Himiko!"
"I'm still pretty drained from my 'last' use of my quirk." Eri left it at that, not going into further detail about why she shouldn't be using her time powers more often.
"Papa!" A young voice suddenly spoke up in front of the television running in the background, all the other children immediately rushing to the screen. "Dada! Papa! Papi!"
They tried to look over to see what they were looking at, managing to catch glimpses of some crowd footage of I-island being broadcasted.
"Where?" Mina grabbed Tensei, lifting him up by the arms and placing him on her shoulders to get a look of the screen herself. "I don't see him."
"I don't either." Eijiro managed to find a decent gap standing over most of them that weren't flying around like moths to a light. "Maybe the camera changed scenes already?"
"Pause." Eri said into the remote, the screen freezing as she walked up to witness where the children's attention was fixed. "Found him."
"Where?!" Mina tried to search, but had no luck finding him.
"Oh, I found him." Eijiro was finally satisfied, sitting back to see Mina chase her eyes around in the puzzle of a wide audience in some kind of mountain themed stadium filled with tactical machines. "Hey, has anyone noticed Mamadoriya and Cop dad have been out a lot lately?"
"YES!" Mina hopped on the new direction. "I bet he's out with her right now, doing something big and fancy and *GASP* Eri! You have to use your time powers to see what they're up to today."
"I don't need time powers to know what will happen." The experienced time manipulator prepared herself for a squeal from Mina. "Not Dad had a fresh haircut, and had his shoes shined this morning."
"Wait, you don't mean…"
That's when Mina rivaled Kyoka's full strength sonic scream.
After some catching up, greetings, and general fun throughout the expo, the group found themselves cooling off near some of the larger attractions.
*SLUUURRRP*
Pony could hardly hold back from her Jaba Hut smoothie, the blend between carrots and cactus juice somehow working better than several shakes she's had in the past. "Ok, mine is awesome. How about everyone else's?"
"Pretty good!" Ochaco held up her 'concrete' blend. "I didn't know you could make rocks taste good."
Momo though, was fast to correct her. "I'm certain it's just the diluted dragon fruit with a thick texture and coloring to make it seem like concrete. After all, they did something similar for my 'gemstone mine' shake but added in rock candy."
"Actually." Melissa pointed back towards the booth. "They do advertise the use of one of their quirks to turn whatever they get their hands on into edible foods. There's a good chance they used actual concrete. How about you Iida?"
"It's wonderful!" The boy put down his 'NASCAR fuel'. "Though between my request to add in other fruits and cut down on some of their more sugar options I couldn't say how accurate the taste is to the standard selection."
Then, they turned over to the one who was very patient, swishing the flavors around in his mouth.
Pulling his mouth away from the straw and smacking his tongue to allow more air inside, Izuku was pondering deeply over the depth of his 'citrus punch'. "The lemon sherbet does compliment the pineapple well, and while the orange doesn't stand out right away it's definitely the primary flavor in the aftertaste. It's on the lighter side, almost bordering a heavy drink rather than a smoothie but it still holds itself together. Most importantly, it feels smooth going down. I can see this being relied on for an in-between for meals, and compliment some small or equally light meals. Though it seems to not hold its temperature for long, so it would need to be drunk faster than someone would normally pace themselves with or without a side. This could probably be fixed using one of the collector cups they have available, if only they still had some in stock. Overall, I give it a four out of five."
Perhaps they asked to much, but Ochaco had to know where this was all coming from. "...when did you become so wise in the way of the smoothie?"
Well, spending a week with a guy who prioritized smoothies any time he was out of the house, Izuku did his best to try and understand Ben's fascination with them. "Himiko can't drink smoothies or most liquids or cold treats, so she has me describe them."
"Ah." Tenya held his chin in brief thought. "I never considered her biology required a strict diet. Still, you clearly understand the caring role of being an older sibling. I commend your efforts to care for your sister in even the simplest matters!"
Pony suppressed a chuckle, very well aware Himiko was technically the older one.
*SCHLLIIIICK*
"What a show folks!"
Glancing to one of the bigger attractions, they saw a familiar glacier overtake a large mountainous battle arena with waterfalls running along the viewing stands to form a short river around the central hill. At least, it would flow if it wasn't frozen with dozens of combat robots trapped within.
"In only fourteen seconds, our newest contestant managed to reach the top of the scoreboard!"
The holographic screens above the arena gave the class a decent view of who performed such a feat, allowing them to confirm their suspicion of Shoto being here as well. They managed to see him exit up the stairs, and after ignoring a poor girl and breaking her heart he caught sight of the waving group of UA students, plus one.
"Hi Shoto!" Izuku waved over to the boy. "Good work out there."
"Thanks." He briefly acknowledged him, unsure of how close he could get to the 'government experiment' now that they were on to him.
"Pst." Pony tugged on Izuku's jacket, getting his attention. "Are any of those 'heroes' going to show up?"
"What do you….ooooh. I guess they're 'allowed' to show up since I-island doesn't have any laws against open quirk use."
Shoto, narrowing his eyes at the boy and more specifically his watch, openly questioned while doing his best to keep his true intentions known. "Are any of you going to give it a try too?"
"Sure." Ochaco shrugged. "Why not? I've been meaning to test how many g's I can apply on an area."
"With some restraint though." Momo reminded her. "I would hate to damage the area too much to the point that they would have to close down the attraction temporarily."
"That would take, a LOT of strength." Melissa had to point it out. "It would take a hit from All Might to do that amount of damage. Besides, they're almost done thawing out the ice."
Izuku perked his head slightly higher, seeing that the automated systems were indeed heating up the arena and pumping out the excess water. I-island really was a city of marvels.
In that case, maybe he could see if one of his 'friends' could beat Shoto's score…within reason.
"Excuse me." Izuku slipped out from his seat. "I think I may have gotten a smoothie too large. Be right back."
"So?" Melissa egged on the other hero students. "Anyone else gonna give it a shot?"
"I will." Tenya stood tall. "I too, want to make use of the fuel my beverage has granted me."
"Congratulations! We have our new second place winner at sixteen seconds!"
Ochaco hovered back down from the sky, meeting up with the rest of her friends with disappointment in her eyes. "Dang it. I totally should have just flown up from the start. I didn't see a couple of those guys for a while."
With a mighty declaration, Tenya parted some of his wisdom. "Let this be a learning experience for us all as hero students on the importance of recon!"
"Most of you do have great quirks for it." Melissa noted, between Momo's ability to create drones, Ochaco's flight, Tenya's speed, and Pony (who in her own way had all three aspects). "Will you try Pony?"
"I'm not sure I want the attention." The girl honestly said, unsure of how to feel trying to take on a bunch of robots prone to a wheelchair and raising her shortened leg to make her point. "At least, not until I figure things out with this."
"It's too bad Izuku couldn't be here to watch." Ochaco looked back towards the area they were sitting at before, noting that the boy had yet to return. "I bet he would have loved it."
"Oh." Pony glanced towards the next competitor, who had been waiting to take his turn. "I'm sure he has his own way of watching."
Tenya shivered, thinking about how unsanitary it would be for Izuku to use his phone in the bathroom to watch them through the cameras broadcasting the event.
"Hey!" Melissa pointed down to the stage. "That must be one of the newer heroes! I don't recognize him but he's wearing the badge!"
Standing before the announcer was a tall, somewhat humanoid being composed of swirling yellow and brown metallic material. His hands more like pincers, his limbs incredibly slim in comparison to his torso, and two large protrusions from his shoulders with a floating metal head in between them.
Finally, the green hourglass symbol on his chest.
"LOOODETAAAAR!" He dramatically announced himself, starting to hover in the air.
"Ready?!" The host of the event backed away while building up the excitement of the crowd. "GO!"
Bringing his arms together, Lodestar released a wide magnetic field to grip onto the several robots scattered in front of them. Lifting them high into the air for everyone to see, he increased the field between them, causing them to pull into a tight orb of condensed metal. Once the buzzer went off, he gently lowered the heap of trash over to the side and floated back down to the ground.
"Oops." Lodestar realized he might have taken it too seriously. "Might have overdone it."
"A-amazing! We have a new top score at only three and a half seconds!"
"HEYYY!" Melissa waved down towards Lodestar, the alien looking up towards her and trying to act casual. "Can I get a quick picture with you?! I'm a big fan of your team!"
"Um, certainly!" Doing his best to be normal, for a heavy mutation hero, he went up and posed behind the group as Melissa propper her phone on one of Pony's horns that floated out in front of them. While he managed to keep his cool, Shoto couldn't have been more obvious by the way he seemed to stare at the omnitrix on his chest.
*click*
"It was great meeting you all!" Lodestar started to make his exit. "Stay safe!"
"Excuse me." Momo paused his departure. "Do you by chance know anything about Izuku Midoriya? He has a PQE that bears the same symbol your organization wears as a badge."
Crap.
"Yeah!" Ochaco made the connection herself. "What's up with that?"
Crap!
"Izuku has been gone for a while." Tenya muttered as he looked over to the stalls. "Perhaps I should check on him."
CRAP!
Wait, maybe this was a good thing? Nezu already said they were going to get the Uraraka and the Yaoyorozu family to support Providence. And if what Ochaco was saying was true, then the Principal also intended for him to reveal it at I-island.
What about Tenya and Shoto though? Ingenium was going to be recruited and Tenya was already aware about some parts of what the omnitrix can do. He hasn't gotten word on Shoto, so he should hold off for now.
Either way, he needed confirmation before he said anything.
"SorrybutIreallyhavetogonowhaveagoodrestofyourday!" Sprinting off as fast as he could, Lodestar left the teens while ducking behind the public bathroom area, turning into his human self Izuku whipped out his phone to quickly send a message to Nezu about the situation, only to get a reply almost immediately after like he was expecting it.
Principal Nezu: You're correct on Uraraka and Yaoyorozu, but let's hold off on the other two for now. We're in the process of easing Ingenium into Providence, but once he's fully briefed I imagine it would be easier for young Iida if his older brother were there to assist with the revelations.
Sending back a quick thumbs up, Izuku stepped out from behind his cover and towards his friends. A small pressure began to build up in his gut, some minor anxiety developing over having to share such big secrets with more people that saw him on a regular basis.
It didn't feel it was the right moment though, they were all as a big group and it would be weird to suddenly try and get Ochaco, Momo, and himself somewhere more private. Pony could help with that, and since she already knew that made it easy.
There might be a way to get Tenya and Shoto to go back and spend quality time with their family…..a way to get Tenya to go and spend quality time with his family.
He was also technically being shown around by Melissa, just a brief break from being All Might's escort. Eventually he'd have to go back to his original task and help convince David Shield to support Providence and begin slowly introducing him to alien technology.
This wasn't going to be easy, but he wasn't here for a vacation was he? This was his chance, to prove that if he was given a mission he could accomplish, excel, and stay within the limits they set to be officially recognized as an agent allowing him more freedom to help people.
Time to get to work.
Ok, while Shoto, Tenya, and Pony may be here I'm not going to have them be around for long or be contributing players for when things start to really go down. I mostly brought in Shoto and Tenya to help balance out the guys, but also it would make sense they would still be able to show up here. I've come across a lot of stories that end up not utilizing the male side characters in MHA, and end up building an 'unofficial' harem around the main character. I hate harems, so this is my way of avoiding any semblance of one.
Pony can also help in making sure Izuku can have a moment to reveal the truth to Ochaco and Momo, but also since it seems the trip to Hawaii wasn't enough to satisfy the demand for her established role in the story.
I know this seems like it's turning into a four way crossover, and my original intentions of the Lilo and Stitch stuff being a small little cameo was met with more and more demand for their involvement. There's still plenty of demand to work them into the story, but I think I'll use their existence very sparingly. I'm mostly just using it as either some brief filler content or to give the plot a little nudge. I also won't be using the same character twice, other than Bubbles' recurring appearance.
After all, almost every other fic I've read that has secret agents involved to help out has Phil Coulson in their story.
Now on to the topic of Generator Rex being incorporated into this universe. It will only be the theme of this arc, and honestly I kind of count it as part of Ben 10 given how massive of an event it was when Heroes United came out. Once we are past this arc, I don't plan to use any more content of Generator Rex. We might have a brief word about the aftermath or development of how things are at I-island, but that's about it.

Anthony David Torres Jr: There is a ridiculously high chance Izuku could spend dozens of years stuck as Alien X if he ever decided to use it, and to master it? That would take an eternity, something that would not be worth it for a single fight. Again, allowing access to Alien X is not only a risky move for the user but also for the story due to how every problem suddenly becomes easily fixable if you have the powers of a god.
Bear295: As stated in my previous author notes, I already finished the game.
BrokenLifeCycle: I understand where you're coming from, but I don't plan on doing what most people do with the dozens of crossovers in one fic.
Guest: Someone who has played it several times over.
Turtle fire: One for All is a part of her 'soul' now, but without a proper body she can't pass it along. As for friends for Eri, there's not many characters in MHA that are twelve years old. Actually I can't think of a single one. In this story at least, she's homeschooled so there's no real chance for her to make other friends than possibly online.
Harleking31: I introduced nanites quite a few chapters ago, and had smaller references to it as we were building up to I-island. Besides, canon Melissa was already making technology out of nano machines including Izuku's gauntlet.
Omni-Trickery: Mei really doesn't need nanites, and the world doesn't need a Mei with them either.
