Master Control

Chapter 64

Things always felt like they were being cut short before they finished. There were several activities planned, events to attend, and all sorts of people to meet. I-island was one of the prime tourist destinations, especially with the massive expo they hosted every year. But, for the first time it got canceled. Understandably so, everyone was turned into EVOs after an experimental technology was turned into the largest bio weapon in history and nearly threw the world into an age of monsters.

Izuku still wished he could have gone on at least one ride while he was here.

"It's ok." Pony whispered next to him as she placed her hand over his. "There's always next year."

By a small favor from All Might, the man managed to convince Pony's mother to not to immediately ship off to America after the incident. Allowing some private time for Izuku to spend with his girlfriend. Though one of the few places that they could get some proper privacy is Melissa's room, who he felt very awkward asking for.

"We'll see." Izuku uttered as he leaned back in the rolling chair. "I-island was always seen as arguably the safest city in the world. After this, I imagine there's going to be tons more renovations and updates to all parts of the island. It could take a while."

"Yeah." She nodded along in agreement. "But hey, we can still see each other during the summer. You want to swing by my place when my Mom isn't hovering over me?"

"That sounds great."

*Knock knock*

Without any further warning, Melissa came in. With a sleeveless lab coat and her hair in a ponytail she gave a short smile and wave to the two. "Hi and, oh."

This was actually the first time Melissa, without her older memories, had met Pony. Ok, the name made a lot more sense now. But her eyes couldn't help but flicker to the stump resting on the wheelchair. Once Pony folded her arms with a hardened gaze, Melissa realized her issue.

"Sorry sorry!" She quickly apologized. "I'm Melissa, I don't know if we met or not."

"You have." Izuku informed, standing up from the seat. "Thanks for letting us talk in your room."

"No problem." She gave a thumbs up before stepping out of the way of the door. "And hey, visit anytime you like. It's sort of, odd hanging around my Dad right now. I don't really know him but he keeps acting super familiar around me, even though my first impression was him in his EVO form capturing you. Plus he's super worked up from the board doing their best to scrap the nanite project."

"I can see why." Izuku admitted as he stepped behind Pony's wheelchair to grab the handle bars. "Maybe if things don't work out here, you can come by Providence and restart your projects? I could spare some time to help too."

"That would be great." Melissa glanced down to Pony, giving the girl a short wink as she was being pushed by. Izuku pretended not to notice, but Pony stared incredulously towards Melissa to the point her neck nearly broke as they passed into the hallway.

As soon as they were out of earshot, Pony swiveled in her seat and sat up on her knee to get right up into Izuku's face. "What was that?!"

Ok, now how could he answer this the best way possible?

You know what the best thing about owning a private plane was? It wasn't the small kitchen stocked with treats and goodies, it wasn't about playing whatever you wanted on the private widescreen holo television, or even just a long quiet nap with no one else to interrupt. No, what All Might enjoyed was the private shower.

It let him wash everything away, the dirt, the intrusive thoughts, and that sickening sensation of imagining his body being twisted into something else. He shivered in the steaming hot shower, hoping that every nanite in him really was removed.

Making sure he was thoroughly dried, and dressed given he had a guest, All Might let himself be more casual around the boy. He did great, better than many heroes could have handled the situation. Izuku Midoriya had already passed this little test with every single extra credit point he could achieve. So to see him sitting there with such a serious gaze made the man want to relieve whatever lingering stress was stirring in the boy's chest.

"It may be early to say." The man took the large seat across from Izuku. "But I believe congratulations are still owed to you."

"All Might." Izuku began, his chin resting on his interlaced hands with eyes full of thought. Ah, this was going to be that moment. Where every young hero looks up to an idol and questions their worthiness, their potential to join the pros, what it truly means to be a hero.

"What is your experience with girls?"

Hm, ah. Ok.

It would be that talk then.

Hesitant but still sort of prepared, All Might leaned forward to listen. "Anything in particular you're wondering about?"

"Well, what do you do when you're dating someone, and one of your friends likes you and you still want to be friends?"

Ok, hm. Ah.

This was outside his area of expertise.

Despite having a very many passionate fans, All Might had never gotten close to anyone to actually start something. At least, with the opposite gender. Still, he had something he experienced that could be relatable, right?

"Ahem." Straightening his posture, the number one hero prepared to share his wisdom. "Women, are like villains."

Japan's number one hero, proved that day on his plane, that he had no idea what women were like.

Arriving to Providence, Izuku relayed all that happened in person. The detonation of experimental tech turned into an IED, a cloud of micro machines turning the residents into monsters, and a sudden ally.

While Izuku stood at the front of the room giving his report, he took note of everyone around the holo table. There were those he was aware of to be there, Principal Nezu, Agent Bubbles, Eraserhead, Cueball, Naomasa, and the recent addition of All Might himself. But seated alongside them were others Izuku hadn't expected to be involved so soon. Midnight, Power Loader, Present Mic, Ingenium, Thin Man, and the holographic form of David Shield sitting amongst the ranks.

"It's strange." David's slightly blue form spoke out. "I don't remember any of what happened."

"Imagine how Melissa must feel." Naomasa mentioned, the girl's father lowering his head in worrying for his daughter.

"Yo." Present Mic spoke up with a hand raised to get some attention. "Look, I'm still a little skeptical about this whole alien thing, but if this is an alien club then where exactly does the alien factor come into play in what happen at I-island?"

"He's got a point." Midnight agreed.

"If you two would listen-" Eraserhead rolled his glowing red eyes. "-then you would know we don't just cover aliens."

"That's right." Agent Bubbles added on. "Providence, while having an expertise in extraterrestrial affairs, is going to be handling anything that could be considered 'extraordinary.'"

"Essentially-" Their boss in both school and Providence explained. "-we are the ones that people call when they don't know who else to turn to."

"Excuse me." Tensei, with his helmet resting on his lap and his whiskers on full display cut in. "But, is there something we're going to end up doing? It sounds like besides trying to track down the man who did all of this everything else is taken care of."

"There aren't many leads." Agent Bubbles confessed with more resolute determination. "But now that several world governments are aware that an agent of Providence prevented a global disaster, they were willing to give us twelve satellites."

"Don't forget all the other toys." Power Loader crossed his massive arms while letting out a short laugh.

"And the money!" Cueball added to his enthusiasm, though Thin Man wasn't as trusting in her eagerness.

"Perhaps you can actually use that to get the diner rebuilt. Maybe in a more welcoming area?"

"Hey! Sketchy folks who spill their guts to us won't feel open enough if they've got the one percent around the corner."

"I'd prefer they not spill their stomachs on the counters."

With a tap of his paw, Nezu brought silence back to the holo table. "Now then, before we get on with the boring necessities of paperwork and other bland routines, there is one last thing to address. Izuku Midoriya."

"Yes sir!" His arms slapped against his legs as he stood to attention.

"While this 'test' was more of a formality than a necessity, Izuku Midoriya, Providence recognizes you as a qualified agent. Time and time again, you have proven the strength to shoulder responsibility, knowledge, and power for the service of others. Last night, you have shown just how much you've grown in such a short time. Your performance was above and beyond our expectations."

A round of applause erupted around the table, heroes and idols Izuku had looked up to all seeing him as a form of an equal, to fight alongside them and help where he could. It was so much, something that years ago he only dreamed of. It still didn't feel real, but he was ok with not waking up right now. "Thank you! I promise to not let any of you down! I look forward to working with you all!"

"Speaking of working." Eraserhead stretched in his seat. "We have your next assignment."

Really?! Ready to get to work right away with full confidence from Providence and others, Izuku was eager to accomplish it right away.

"Get some rest champ." Naomasa ordered warmly. "It's summer, so how about spending some time enjoying it?"

"Let us take it from here!" All Might gave a hardy thumbs up to the boy. "Let us save you from mountains of documents to fill out."

Oh, ok. Losing a lot of that enthusiasm he just had earlier, Izuku sagged his shoulders and began to turn over to the elevator.

"Oi." Cueball gave the newly dubbed agent a short salute. "If something comes up, we'll go check it out together ok?"

"Right." He nodded, glad to know he wasn't being grounded but just given a moment for relief. The boy carried himself back home, Izuku just realizing he had been awake for more than a day and a half. Exhaustion began to set in, only leaving him with enough to carry himself into the elevator and let it carry him up the rest of the way.

The adults, now were left with another issue.

"To confirm." Nezu rotated his chair towards David Shield's direction. "You have recovered some of the work Van Kleiss left behind?"

"It wasn't easy." David typed along an unseen keyboard on his end, until a secure file was sent over to display various information before the group. "The whole lab where the nanites were produced and stored are closed off until the board comes to a final decision. But with the nanites still in Melissa we were able to recover previous commands issued. Including the specifics on how the quirk genome was mutated into the rest of the host."

As the holotable displayed the two different sets of DNA, before and after being mutated, Nezu pulled up a couple other strands that were harvested from the Nomu.

While many of them were not major scientists, the comparison between the nomu and EVO strands were apparent to all.

"It's the same method." Power Loader scooted closer, inspecting the similarities himself.

"All for One." All Might growled to himself as he stood to his full height. "Was Van Kleiss working for him?"

"Maybe their goals temporarily aligned." Naomasa, who was familiar with the tactics the villain had used before proposed. "All for One always wanted to break spirits before bodies, flaunting his power before striking. Van Kleiss on the other hand is more self satisfying, not caring for any witnesses."

Present Mic leaned over to the other newcomers, such as Midnight, Power Loader, and Tensei to whisper over to them. "I don't know what I should believe more. An ancient evil that steals quirks or how we've been invaded by aliens."

They couldn't help but agree, Midnight voicing her own thoughts. "Don't forget All Might gave his quirk to his alien apprentice. Kind of joins the two worlds."

"You think we'll get to go to space?" Tensei asked a little hopeful, before realizing that everyone was staring at them. "Sorry. I know we signed up for this, but when you told me that I'm half alien now I didn't necessarily believe it right away. I don't know if I still believe it."

"Do or don't." Eraserhead sternly gazed at them. "But these are real threats, and between the attacks by the League of Villains and overly ambitious aliens and now a mad scientist who nearly brought an end to the world under the nose of the most secure facilities in the world. I think you get the idea that we need to be on top of this."

"Yeah yeah." Cueball waved the heavy air the man was breathing out of her face. "Doesn't matter what they are only what they plan on doing. Let's talk about the real juicy stuff now!"

Her sly grin towards Naomasa caused the man to falter, a weight in his pocket suddenly much heavier. "I don't know what you mean."

"Now now." Principal Nezu joined in on the teasing. "You have a quirk to detect lies, not hide your own."

Letting out a low rumble, Naomasa rubbed his clean shaven face and well trimmed hair for him to just admit the jig was up. "Fine, I'll let you guys know by tonight."

With a light ding, the door to the hidden elevator opened up for Izuku. He trudged forward, letting his mind run on auto pilot to guide him to a place of rest. He first arrived to the living room, where his family was eagerly awaiting his return after hearing several news about a 'bio weapon' released on I-island.

"Izuku." His mother saw his tired demeanor, as several blue bodies fluttered around her to latch onto the boy. "You look tired."

"I am." He groggily replied, feeling the cool bodies cling to him and give a sensation of relief, stealing away more of his dwindling energy. "Everything's ok though. No one got hurt, the world was saved *YAWN* and I got to see Pony."

"That's good." Inko, who nearly suffered five heart attacks through the night of having barely any updates from Naomasa, did her best to not add onto Izuku's worry list.

Eri kicked Himiko, who was snoring audibly on the couch until rudely awakened.

"Oh look, he's not dead. Again." Himiko murmured before rolling onto the floor. "I'm going to bed."

Her body was more liquid than solid as she slithered across the ground until squeezing under her door.

Eri came up, finding a gap in the bluebies cloud of hugs to give Izuku a short squeeze. "Glad it all turned out ok."

"Himiko was allowed to go to bed." His mother quickly explained, a little glad the adoptive daughter only acted like she didn't care at times. "She even turned down seeing some friends so she could be home to make sure things turned out ok."

Izuku didn't reply, just standing there covered in his children.

"Izuku?" Eri tapped his leg, earning no response. "Wow, I've never seen him stand and sleep at the same time."

The two gently guided Izuku to his room, the alien children tugging at his clothes to help in their own way but also wanted cuddle time with their father who was absent all night. They rested him on his bed, several balls of blue curling onto him.

*BWOOOSH*

In his sleep, Izuku changed into his Necrofriggian form as his body recognized the nightly routine of having sacks of cold fuzzy beings resting on him as he slept. The boy in his ghostly moth body wrapped his wings around himself and his children, resting peacefully as there were no nightmares to have.

It all worked out great, even if everyone was momentarily monsters they were all ok now.

He wished, every mission could have this kind of result.

*SPLASH*

Several teens, from half aliens to having the same DNA as when they were born all shared a similar secret. They knew there was more to life than just Earth, and some of them were discovering that life was also in them now too. The news can be shocking, and for young guys and gals it helped to take their mind off it in pointless fun.

And what better fun was there to have than on the beach? It just so happened that the Midoriya family had a private spot.

"You think you can build a better sand castle than me?" Mina, clad in her leopard print bikini challenged Himiko, who was laying under the shade on a blanket and keeping herself off the sand.

"Yeah." She simply said. "I could literally just take a bunch of sand in me and just become a sand castle."

"But you won't."

"Nope, feels weird."

"Then just build one normally!"

Lowering a pair of sunglasses, Himiko sat up in her trash bag outfit meant to keep her moisture in and the sand out."You want me to do something normal?"

Realizing this was getting nowhere, Mina looked over to find another person to challenge. Aha!

"Hey Hatsume!" The pink girl called out to the other girl sporting the same color on her head, who wasn't even wearing a swimsuit but her greasy tank top and cargo pants. She was tinkering with the grill, ignoring everyone else as her feline companion was laying on the top of it. "I wanna see what the support class can do when given a pale and a shovel!"

"Beach sand is a terrible material to work with!" Hatsume hollered back, cranking the wrench on the propane nozzle. "It can't even make adequate glass."

Ugh, was everyone going to turn her down?

"Hey!" Eijiro waded his way through the water to get back to shore. "We building sand castles?"

"You cheat." Mina whined. "You just pack a layer of sand around whatever crystal creation you make."

"I can build normal ones!"

"Prove it!"

They immediately began to get to work, rushing past four others who were still getting used to the whole thing.

"So." Ojiro, standing along the sand next to Ochaco, Momo, and Tenya. "Aliens."

"Aliens." Ochaco echoed, still sort of in disbelief over it.

"Extraterrestrials." Tenya repeated in his own words.

The tall ravenette only looked to her own hand, confirming the very human part of her. "I'm not sure what is less believable, aliens or being turned into a monster."

"My own brother." The speedster partially murmured. "Is half alien."

"Is that how it works?" The brunette rose her hand, picking up some rocks off the beach with her quirk and letting them orbit between her fingers. "I mean, he was still born on Earth so even if half of his DNA changed can any changes to him really be part alien?"

"I'm not going to debate another ship of theseus." Ojiro decided, putting down the bag he was carrying and taking off his shirt. "I'm just going to actually enjoy the beach."

"Hold on." Tenya halted the boy before he could go off. "We should make sure to apply a proper coating of sunscreen before doing any activities."

"I agree." Momo had already applied some before arriving, but still wished to make sure none of her classmates suffered a sunburn. "Also, have you considered that your new chimpanzee traits might impede your ability to swim?"

"Um." The boy scratched at his blue fur, his tail drooping slightly at the thought of being more at risk of drowning. "Haven't thought about that."

"HEY PARTY POOPERS!" Denki came running by. "Stop stalling and let's get to swimming!"

"Sand kicking!" Another one of him shouted as he passed.

"Refreshing drinks!" A third dashed, carrying a cooler.

"Swimsuits!" The last ran ahead with an expensive looking camera, only to trip and fall right on it. His heart broke as he heard something crack, picking himself up with the remains of his treasure in hand. Taking a moment to grieve, he then spotted Hatsume, more specifically the cat, and ran over to it.

Not longer after they witnessed the several copies of the blond blunder over each other, the more controlled footsteps of Kyoka arrived in a single body. She had a robe loosely hanging on her body, concealing the embarrassment of having to buy a child sized swimsuit given her shorter stature. "He has no shame."

But the duplicate boys had already come up with a new plan, entering the water to rush around in a circle to try and create a whirlpool. Rolling her eyes, Kyoka found a spot to set her belongings down, that just so happened to be in the shade of the massive umbrella that Himiko was splayed under.

"Hey."

"Hey."

Relaxing in the cool cover, warmed by the heated sand around them. The only thing keeping the two from drifting off to sleep was the noises caused by everyone else.

"Where's Izuku?" Kyoka wondered aloud.

"I turned his alarm off."

Shedding the robe and rolling onto her belly, Kyoka laid her face along her crossed arms towards Himiko. "Aw, you do care."

"I like watching him panic in the mornings." The mischievous girl grinned briefly before pulling her phone out of her stomach. She began typing away, only having gone without a screen for half an hour before going back to it.

"You texting Todoroki?"

"I invited him. He's on his way."

"Is he in on the secret?"

"He knows enough." Himiko reasoned, snorting at what came across her screen. "It's hilarious the stuff he comes up with. Before Izuku could explain a pocket space inside the omnitrix, Shoto went off about how I-island must have experimental spy technology that went haywire when the bomb went off, forcing him to astral project into space!"

The two erupted in laughter, much preferring to hear all the insane theories that Shoto could come up with rather than the weird truth.

"What about Eri?"

"She's watching after the blubies." With a slight grunt and a push of effort, Himiko sprouted a limb on her back to push her up. "After all, I don't know if Izuku explained having alien kids to the newbies yet."

"It would have been fun to see their reaction though."

"Yeah." With stretches that would have been impossible for someone with bones, Himiko contorted herself in many directions. In a quick spin she corrected her posture until Himiko was straight as a pencil. "I'm going to go meet Shoto outside the weirdo barrier around this place so he can get inside."

"Kay."

It was all dark, quiet, not a thought or decision crossing his mind. Izuku fell into it fully, embracing the serenity that was nothing. A void that enveloped him to erase any sensation, allowing complete rest to fall over his body. That's when something peaked into his mind, a tiny prick into his dreamless state.

Just a glimpse of a memory, a time long ago. Quirkless, wanting to be a hero.

Sparks peppered afterwards, reminders of the many explosions that brought him to his knees in a blind chase to pursue his passion.

A bright star in his empty expanse began to glow, the time where he was entrusted with the omnitrix. Soon after one where Eijiro was healed, later given the DNA of an alien that fit perfectly. Time and time again, whether good or bad the major events in his life each took life around him.

His life was made of stars around himself, no matter good or bad each of them was a noticeable light he saw. A common theme he found between them was that there was someone in each star. His family, his friends, his enemies, even those that were just a short moment had a place in his sky.

Something rippled through the space, disturbing the order and carrying a wave of black that threatened to extinguish the stars. Something that shouldn't be, something that was supposed to remain at the edge of reality and never approach the realm of existence, something that must not be.

Something dark.

Suddenly, Izuku could see his own green eyes opening in front of himself. Not like his human ones, these had no pupils, no discernable white or cells. They were filled with only his soul, the rest of space filling around them as if they were part of his new body, awakening in response to this evil force. That's when he noticed it, each of his eyes carried their own thought, their own will that were opposites of one another.

One of love and compassion, the other rage and aggression. They both looked to him though, awaiting to act until his tiny human self could possibly convince them to do something.

Someone intruded, reaching into his mind as something cold was wrapped around his body.

*GASP*

Izuku woke up with a short spasm, a short burst of adrenaline rushing through his body as his mind was forcefully reawakened. His bed, his children, his home it took a second to recognize it all including his alien hands.

"Sorry if I woke you up." A familiar voice was at his side, his large bug eyes looking over to the source.

Reiko, was right there in his room. Of course she was.

"What are you doing here?" Big Chill rasped out as he leaned up from his sleeping spot, finding Shinji cuddled on his lap.

"I wanted to check up on you." The ghostly girl answered blankly. "You were sleeping for a while."

Was he? He glanced over to the clock in his room, seeing that it was later than he'd like, nearly eleven. "Where are the other kids."

"Eri is watching them, though she wanted to know if she could take them to the beach to meet the others."

Others, right. A day at the beach sounded fun….

HE WAS LATE!

The boy phased out of bed, Shinji plopping down onto the frosty covers as Big Chill flew into the living room where Eri was waiting in her swim attire, snorkeling gear, oversized flippers, and dozens of other tools for her adventures.

"You're late." She whined with those sad puppy eyes.

"I'm so sorry Eri! My alarm didn't go off and…where are the other kids?"

"Taunting P'andor again."

"Mom?"

"With not Dad."

*BWOOSH*

Turning to human and already equipped in beach appropriate shirt and shorts, Izuku didn't bother washing up. He was just going to get covered in sea water anyways and he didn't want to delay anyone else any more. "I'll go get the others, I'll meet you down there."

"Ok!" Now officially relieved of duty, Eri sprinted to get outside to join in on all of the fun awaiting with everyone else.

"Hey." Reiko piped up before Izuku descended down the elevator. "I could go get them if you'd like."

"Is that what you want to do?" He immediately replied, just as Hound Dog had ordered him to respond to try and get Reiko to be less dependant on his opinion.

"If it helps you, yes."

It wasn't working very well though, and at this point he was worried about how little he thought of it now. Reiko understood she had a bit of a stalker thing going on, but she didn't care and at this point he had become so desensitized to it he didn't really mind.

Not giving a sure yes or no, Izuku just went to the elevator where Reiko followed. Pressing his omnitrix into a specialized slot, he clicked a hidden button on the panel to lower them down to one of the lowest levels of the hidden facility.

One door became five secure doors, Izuku having to use several different keys and passcodes to unlock in order to arrive to the reactor chamber powering the whole place. Aka, P'andor's prison.

He saw his kids, all fluttering up to crowd the small visible window while pressing whatever face they could come up with to try and annoy the man.

"Kids."

They all snapped to see Izuku, backing away from the prison and happy to finally see their father was awake and not being a slab of sleeping meat.

"Come on, beach day."

"Beesh!" Keigo tried to copy his father's words, which sparked a chorus of several attempts to say the word.

"Bash!" Tensei repeated in certainty.

"Beat!" Enji yelled louder than the others.

"Bitch!" Rumi finished confidently, nearly giving her father whiplash. Oh he swore she did that on purpose.

"Midoriya." P'andor's threatening tone elevated from his confined space, the man standing up to glare from behind the glass. "If you think you're better than those who have imprisoned me before, I will-"

"Mute." Izuku spoke, a computer system obeying and silencing the captive alien. Even if he couldn't hear P'andor, he knew the man could still hear him. "You sold out my family, putting them in danger and then going off to hurt many more just to stuff yourself. Food, freedom, I would have given all of that freely if you had only asked."

Turning on his heel and marching away, Izuku vented out his rising anger into the ground so that he could still have a good time today. He wanted to just forget everything bad, and just have a good time.

It was a long day, one that everyone managed to enjoy and just forget about confusing things and accept whatever was in front of them. That included the moment flying alien children joined in on the fun, which had startled the newcomers at first but they had quickly come to warm up to their chilled touch.

Burying each other in the sand, Mina finally able to convince them into a sand castle building competition, some volleyball which they played quirkless and quirked matches (Which eventually turned into a one on one match between Ochaco and Izuku using telekinetic abilities.), snorkeling, Hatsume making some finely engineered grilled meals when she wasn't burning the food while experimenting, playing tag (Izuku was banned from using some of his aliens with Tenya zooming around to be a judge), water fights (which they banned any use of telekinesis on the water), and now finally a comfortable spur of the moment bonfire for them to use.

That bonfire just happened to be Heatblast since they didn't have any wood.

"Man." Ojiro leaned back against the sand, looking up towards the night sky. "I feel pretty beat."

"Have you been staying hydrated?" Tenya immediately questioned in concern for his fellow classmate.

"Are you saying you're not tired?" Ochaco hugged her legs, scooching closer to the warmth of the living flames.

"He's a runner." Denki waved it off with one hand, the other holding a thin red crystal branch with a couple of marshmallows at the end. "Probably has the best stamina out of all of us."

"I don't know." Mina elbowed Eijiro, who had one of his arms splintered off into dozens of red sticks to roast multiple marshmallows at a time. "This guy seems to last a while."

"That's right!" Without a hint of embarrassment, the crystal boy cried out into the night. "Nothing can slow me down!"

"Promises promises."

"Quit it with the shameless flirting please." Kyoka reached over to one of the closer treats on Denki's branch, plucking it off and resting it in her graham cracker sandwich.

"Yeah." Eri reminded them she was here. "It's gross."

"Speaking of children." Momo pointed to the balls curled up in the sand encircling Heatblast, tuckered out from an exciting day. "Are you sure that's safe?"

"It's actually good for them." Heatblast shimmied on his rear in place to face her. "They have a natural resistance to extreme temperatures, and exposure to them through their youth helps them get used to sudden and drastic changes. Besides, I'm not even radiating half of the heat they can thrive in. Eijibro."

"Hm?"

"May I?" Heatblast pointed above himself towards one of Eijiro's many roasting treats.

"Go ahead man. I've got plenty."

"Thanks." The alien reached up, burning the surface of one of them on contact before throwing the scorched sugar into his mouth.

"Do your taste buds change as well?" Shoto asked, wondering if this particular form enjoyed burnt food given that's probably all it would ever eat.

"Yeah." Heatblast's voice was slightly muffled as he tried to chew the rest of it down. "Some more than others, but it's mostly just towards whatever the natural diet is. Luckily most are similar to humans so I can eat a lot of the same things, just sometimes I switch up the toppings or sauces."

"I'm more of an extreme example." Himiko laid her head down onto Shoto's lap, smirking when she managed to get a blush out of him. "My diet was a whole lot different with my original quirk, then when I got molecules all rearranged I avoid most drinks and have to watch how much moisture is in what I eat. I'm sensitive to if something is too wet or too dry."

"Your original quirk?" Mina perked up. "I don't think you ever told us."

"Yeah." Denki hopped on the train of discussion as he finally pulled back his crispy golden mallows. "I never thought about what your quirk was before."

"You don't think in general." Kyoka teased before the boy held out a well made smore before her.

"I think about important things."

"Like making smores?"

"Like yo-"

"I thought we said no flirting." Eri tossed one of her marshmallows at Denki, hitting him in the face which bounced off to land in Heatblast's hand. It ignited instantly, and he didn't let it go to waste by throwing it in his mouth.

"Anyways." Himiko opened her mouth, growing out her fangs and changing her eyes to be more feline. "This is what I looked like with my old quirk. I suck people's blood and I can turn into them. Now I don't need blood and I can turn into just about anything I want."

"As long as you don't get wet, frozen, or dried out." Eijiro added before retracting his branches to begin snacking.

"Yep."

"Oh hey!" Ochaco suddenly perked up, remembering something she wanted to ask before. "Izuku, what's the new transformation you got? You mentioned something about it before."

"Oh yeah!" Eijiro's excitement was renewed. "Is it something like Melissa's powers?"

"Melissa Shield?!" Hatsume, who had been off doing her own thing came rushing back over with her techno cat perched on her shoulder. "You mean you got another tech transformation based on her newly acquired control over nanotechnology?! Oh why couldn't I get something like that in a freak accident? I cause them all the time!"

"Mow." The cat agreed, not as excited about that fact.

"No no." Izuku turned down any false expectations. "It looks like it's not based off a swarm, but instead a single one. It's really small but does seem to have technical properties to it. Like a microscoping mecha."

"A nanomech?" Momo questioned, Ojiro snapping his fingers at the name.

"That's a good one, you should use that."

"I think I will." Izuku accepted it, giving a short nod of appreciation to the one who came up with it. "So, does anyone want to do anything else tonight? I should probably take the kids to bed in an hour."

"We could tell ghost stories." Reiko offered.

Just the fact that she was the one that suggested it made the rest of the campers feel more scared than anything they could have come up with.

"Izuku." Shoto caught his attention as he began to pull out her phone. "Did you go to the woods recently?"

"How recent?"

Turning his phone to face the living campfire, Heatblast began reading the post that was shared online. There were some blurry photos, but it looks like some somewhat popular blog that did amateur treasure hunts. Looks like their recent escapades took a turn as they were haunted, chased off by a dangerous ghost.

Heatblast squinted his eyes as he made sure not to get closer so he didn't burn the phone or the boy's hand. But he could barely make out the figure, one similar to a particular alien. One thing that stood out more, was the blur in its chest that was stark white compared to the rest of its figure.

An hourglass symbol.

"Hey kids!"

Everyone turned around or some simply looking up towards the approaching adults, Inko and Naomasa practically glued to each others' sides. Izuku couldn't remember the last time he saw his mom wear a dress that nice, or ever. Naomasa wore a suit and a coat yes, but these were dry cleaned recently, brand new in fact with crisp colors to match his recent haircut and clean shaven face.

"Did everyone have fun?" The detective asked in a way happier mood than he usually was in.

Now that they were closer, Heatblast's natural lighting illuminated the two, showing how some of the red on Inko's lips had found their way onto Naomasa's.

"Wow." Himiko sat up, glancing between the two. "You guys look like you went to a wedding."

A restrained giddy excitement ran through the two of them, both suddenly finding themselves adjusting they seemed nervous but really happy at the same time. Like REALLY happy.

"It's uh, funny you should mention that." Naomasa chuckled heartily, looking at Inko like he won the lottery.

Wordlessly, the woman held up her hand, letting the fire's light sparkle the gem on her finger.

*FWOOSH*

Heatblast momentarily flared in heat, stunned at the news as many of the girls around squealed.

"Aw man." Denki held up his roasting stick. "You burnt my marshmallow."

Surprise! Next chapter is a wedding chapter. It's just an excuse for some more slice of life before we go into the summer training arc. As you can imagine, Melissa is still at I-island and Pony can only sneak away for so much time before someone notices. That way, even though they couldn't really participate in the last part of the chapter they were still in it. Since the whole Heroes United thing is over, I'm not going to feature Melissa for the rest of the story much at all. Maybe a couple of references, and for sure one small scene at the end when I wrap it all up.

For now though, we focus on aliens and the omnitrix as our key elements in the story.

AnimeFan13579: Yeah, Rex was missing out on utilizing his powers in a ton of ways since he can make and detach machines from his body so long as he knows a blueprint (Or somehow one is sent to the nanites in him.) True, Van Kleiss could go on to make more nanites if he scrapped together enough tools and resources to become a threat again. I left it more open like that in case I wanted to explore more of Melissa's story in a spin off fic.

Geneva Convention Article 34: Ok, I'll admit I have had that thought before but I think there's already a ton of crossover stuff in this story. Would be a fun little moment though.

If you ever want to write that Transformer X Legend of Korra fic, I could send you an raw outline of what I had in mind and you could use whatever ideas sound cool to you.

Thunder Dragon: Mei was back in the support studio at UA, and Shoto was cured inside the omnitrix for that one scene. I don't want to spoil anything for the Kraaho world.

Inko I think is content being a mother, and it would take years before she's qualified to be a nurse. Providence would also want to hire an actual team of doctors before getting any nurses. I also don't want to feature many Lilo and Stitch characters anymore, since they push the story away from an MHA Ben 10 fic.

Melissa, will not be getting her memories back, and we won't feature her anymore than a short scene at the end.

But yes, many of Izuku's friends that are in the alien loop do have strengths they can contribute to Providence. Still, that would be later down the road, like a year or two story wise. I don't want to focus big plot points in massive groups because then I have to write a ton more to give each of them a spotlight. It's a thought, but I won't really write anything big with it.

The idea about generating a new quirk from One for All is interesting, but it would leave him starting from scratch because the quirk is only so strong because it was added on for generations. Plus, Izuku would have to scan the base One for All which he would need the DNA of the current holder, being Itsuka, who doesn't have a body anymore.

MrMateusz: Yes, but I didn't feel a need to write a moment where Izuku pulled them out one by one, restrained, and had Melissa cure them.

leoromerocalvo: Glad you didn't expect that. Too many times I've been asked to make my stories a harem and I hate that.

Fire turtle: Yes, she's aware.
