Master Control
Chapter 69 (Nice)
"Do you have your toothbrush?"
"Yes."
"What about your sunscreen?"
"Yeah."
"What if you get some kind of athlete's foot? Let me get you a-"
"Mom!"
Already carrying a hefty bag on his back, Kota wouldn't let her mother pack another thing inside to haul him down from leaving. Inside the Wild Wild Pussycat's base at the end of the day, Izuku had gathered all of the UA/Providence members to discuss his most recent concern. As intelligent as he could be in some of his transformations, he was no first thinker and couldn't do much to assist.
So, after a call to Jumba to try and see what he knew, they were disappointed to find that during the design process he refused to participate in the development of safety features claiming it limited the full potential of the omnitrix. That confirmed one thing, they had to go find the creator and relay the very dangerous flaw in the omnitrix.
Then that brought up one other aspect, Reiko Yanagi. While it couldn't be confirmed, suspicions were high that her mental capacity was being influenced by the safety features surrounding the DNA shared to her. She had been doing a lot better, but it was best to have her checked up by a professional.
An alien professional, on the other side of the galaxy.
So, with a crowded room filled with almost all of the heroes, Kota, Reiko, and Izuku, they began discussing the long journey ahead.
"Mrs. Waterhose." Izuku stepped up to spare Kota of even more suffering under her cautious preparation. "If we are forgetting anything, I can get anything we need in a flash."
"It's a bright flash too." Present Mic draped his arm over the boy. "Watch. Midoriya, mind getting me one of my brand's hair gels?"
After a short minute of thinking about where he could even find the hero's merchandise, Izuku recalled the times where he would try to find gel thick enough to keep his messy head under control before he got it cut. In a short command from his mind, the omnitrix identified the item and rendered it from the copy of Earth.
"Here." He held it up, the old Present Mic's face plastered on it.
"See?" Midnight grabbed the cheap product, immediately tossing it in the trash. "I mean, I didn't believe it either until he literally took us on a tour of a galaxy he keeps in there."
"Is there a limit?" Tiger questioned, trying to imagine how many homes, how many stores, how many objects Midoriya could have access to or private dwellings he could walk through without ever stepping foot inside the real world.
"There's a battery limit to how much I can generate at a time." Izuku answered, holding out his hand to Kota's bag. Kota just tightened the straps on his back, grunting slightly over the weight.
"I can handle it, for now." Kota proudly stated.
"I just want him to be prepared is all." His mother lifted up Kota's hat, briefly brushing some hair out of his eyes and setting it back down. "Since, we won't be coming with you."
"And why can't we?" Mandalay had to have it clearly stated.
"Less is more subtle." Eraserhead quickly replied, the most experienced in stealth work. "And Yanagi can be invisible the whole time if need be."
"If need be." The pale girl echoed his instruction, which she could go either way. After all, she was used to remaining unseen around Izuku.
"Why can't one of us go with them? At least one pro hero?" Ragdoll offered.
Power Loader, who was sitting nearby on a chair and sitting in a 'relaxing' pose that just so happened to flex his muscles spoke up. "Raise your hand if you've ever been to space and talked to aliens."
Kota, Izuku, and Reiko all rose their hands. None of the adults able to do so.
"When have you been to space?" Izuku asked the ghost girl.
"I got bored one night and wanted to see how high I could fly."
"And talking to aliens?"
"I sing lullabies to your children at night."
Her answer was all the more reason why she should be going on this trip.
"Izuku Midoriya is a fully authorized agent of Providence." Eraserhead came up to the boy's side. "He is also the only one with experience and qualifications to undergo this mission. If anything were to go wrong, he's the one we would end up depending on."
"Hey!" Kota held up his own omnitrix. "I can handle myself!"
"You shouldn't use it unless you really need to." Izuku quickly reminded the boy. "Any activation could accidentally release the transformation."
"So when will you kids be back?" Pixie-Bob, leaning on a nearby chair ogling the man across from her. "How long will we have the place to ourselves~"
"Not sure." Izuku answered, pretending to ignore the details behind the words. "We'll be as fast as we can, but even if we find Azmuth right away he might not immediately agree to help. Either he's busy with something, or he doesn't see a need right away. If he does help, it could still be days of work to reprogram all the safety measures into a prototype omnitrix. If we can't get home within a week I'll see about getting us directly back to Earth."
"Please." Mrs. Izumi didn't like the idea, but a promise to have her son returned in a week whether or not they were successful was good enough. "Just, make sure he'll be ok, ok?"
"Of course." Izuku gave his promise, and would hold himself firmly to it. "Now, I should probably call my Mom and let her know I'll be in space."
"That's a brilliant idea."
Bringing out his phone and taking a step outside, Izuku make a quick dial to his parents. Parents, plural. A while ago he considered his mother to be the only one raising him, but somewhere along the way after several moments where they had to rely on Naomasa, he mentally pictured him as one too.
It felt embarrassing at times, remembering that he once wished All Might would be his secret Dad or something. Now he actually knew All Might, he worked with him now (So cool!), but there was no one else he'd rather be a part of his family than Naomasa.
After a couple of rings, the phone picked up.
"Hello?" Inko's voice came through. "Is everything all right Izuku?"
"Fine. How are the kids?"
"They miss their Dad but they manage to keep themselves entertained nowadays. Each of us take turns looking after them, and while they do find some trouble Eri fixes it before I often notice. I wish I had a quirk that could fix things. Not that I'm asking for a new one. How are things there?"
"Interesting. Things are great and working with so many quirks is awesome but there was a development."
"Oh?" Naomasa's voice suddenly picked up. Probably catching the conversation half way through and joining. "How big a development?"
"Well, one of the heroes here, Mrs. Waterhose lives here with her child. Apparently earlier this summer, some alien technology crashed when her son was out in the woods and….he found an omnitrix."
"So there was one in this universe." The detective muttered in thoughtfulness. "Did it attract any attention?"
"Yes, but it was handled before we arrived. It's an early prototype version so it doesn't have as many safety features. We're planning to go out and find its creator to bring up the concerns. I'll make sure Providence has a full report by the end of the night but, we might be gone for a few days. I'll be back to at least check up on things by the end of the week."
"Ohh ohh!" Eri's voice chimed in. How many people were listening in on this call? "Bring some cool space rocks for my aquariums! Or even a cool space suit souvenir or-"
"Can't he just make you one?" Nomasa interrupted. Izuku glanced up, seeing Eijiro and Bakugo of all people making their way towards him. It was almost time for them to go start their quirk workouts, what are they doing here?
"It's about authenticity Dad."
"I'll see what I can do." Izuku made his second promise for this mission. "But if we end up on a Galvan homeworld, you might have to settle for a little space suit to put in your tank.
"Sounds awesome!"
"Good luck Izuku!"
"Be safe! Love you!"
"Love you all." When he ended the call, his best friend was quick to start asking away.
"Something happen? Noticed your copy stopped showing up."
Bakugo clicked his tongue. "I knew it, there was no way you just happened to be conveniently there for everyone to be our water boy. So, it involves the kid?"
"Kid?" Eijiro was thrown for a new situation, where somehow Bakugo knowing more than him despite being by Izuku's side from pretty much the beginning of all of this.
By that time, the door opened behind Izuku where Kota and Reiko came out.
"Hey." The girl greeted Bakugo directly.
"Hey." He replied back, no hint of a frown on his face. Bakugo spotted Eijiro out of the corner of his mind staring at him oddly got a much larger reaction. "The hell you looking at chandelier face?"
"Just, you and Reiko-"
"SHUT IT! It's not like that."
"Like what?" Izuku asked, wondering when both Bakugo and Reiko got acquainted.
"Hey." Kota tugged at Izuku's leather sleeve. "We gonna go to space or what?"
"What?!" Eijiro shouted in sudden excitement. "Can I come too?!"
"It's more of a medical trip than anything." Izuku felt bad having to turn him down. "We're going to try and keep it short. But it might be a few days."
"Dang." Eijiro worried over the other two, Reiko since, well she obviously had some problems. But as for the kid? What kind of-Oh shoot he has an omnitrix! "Dang! Well good luck my man. Hope you can get back before the camp is over."
That's when Eraserhead came out, with Kota's mother wanting to spend as many seconds as she could with her boy before he vanished.
"We can keep things handled here." The underground hero assured Izuku, who tended to take more responsibility than needed to. "You did leave us plenty of notes and snacks." He also wondered if that was just Midoriya, or if that was some odd habit that began when he had children.
Mrs. Izumi leaned down to grasp her little boy in a tight hug, almost refusing to let him go back into the dangers of space. "I love you."
With a reluctant grumble and his cheeks red with embarrassment, Kota whispered back to her. "Love you too."
"Are we ready?" Reiko questioned.
"One second." Izuku held up his omnitrix, managing to plug in the coordinates that Kota had on his to locate the creator. Cross referencing with the map they got from the mapmaker it looks like the world is a level twelve planet. A capital planet in fact, of one of the larger factions that aren't part of the Galactic Federation. Almost no crime, simple minded people, and looks like it's ruled by-
"Ahem." Kota grabbed his attention, managing to worm his way out of his mother's arms.
"Right sorry, just needed to double check the atmosphere is breathable before we teleport straight there."
"Huh." Eijiro hummed. "Didn't think about whether or not you could breathe there."
"Do you even need to breathe?" Bakugo side eyed the crystal teen.
"Well." Izuku turned to his two current companions. An odd choice of a boy with an omnitrix that could release a deadly alien, and a girl who was barely considered safe enough to be allowed to continue going to school. Yeah, he never would have seen this coming. "Are we ready?"
"Yes!" The impatient but excited Kota stepped forward, wobbling slightly from the bag on his back. "Let's go!"
"I'm ready." The steady and dutiful Reiko nodded.
"Keep us updated." Eraserhead held up the small badge that Izuku had created for many purposes.
"Good luck man!" Eijiro gave a thumbs up as Izuku's omnitrix began to build up a bright charge.
"Hold down the fort for me!" Izuku cheered back, before all three were gone in a flash of light.
The scenery around them all changed. Instead of the summer woods with green leaves to shade them from the bright beams of the sun, it was a forest of skyscrapers that felt like a massive maze. Machines flying to and from buildings filled the sky above them like an army of flying ants. The light of a dim sun barely glinted off the highest of the structures, where many spires of antennas and dishes littered the rooftops.
Along the streets, were a bustling crowd of people similarly colored sky blue along their skin. Many of them wore the same outfit, at least half proudly wearing badges along their chest or arms. They were very close to humanoid, besides the male population having beady eyes and large mouths while the females had the opposite with larger eyes and smaller mouths.
There weren't too many aliens in the mix, either living here or visiting, but there were at least enough to where Izuku didn't see a need for them to alter their appearance.
"Alright." Stepping to the edge of the alley, Izuku beckoned the others to follow him. "Time to get looking."
Kota and Reiko followed in silence, one looking around with purpose to find any hint towards their goal while the other was completely distracted by the alien environment.
"Why is everything so blue?" The boy couldn't help but wonder.
"Good question." Izuku took a closer look around himself. "Might have started as pride in their bodies, or a lack of natural pigmentation, or even just a significant moment that blue has a cultural or spiritual tie to."
"Or maybe they like blue." Kota wondered, staring at the window of the next shop. "No way, they sell guns here?"
Both of the teens glanced towards where the boy was pointing, guessing it might be a toy store or something. Nope, one of the cleanest, most well designed areas in the city was a rather large weapons store with plenty of big guns sitting behind the large window.
"Must be a very pro carry society." Izuku guessed, starting to take another glance around.
Coats, pants, military uniforms all over, heavily industrialized society. It was very likely that this was a civilization that was well aware of war, or very eager for one.
It took a while, a long while to navigate their way through the alien city. It was difficult to find any information, given how so many parts of the city didn't seem to hold the same technological level as either of their watches. In fact, they couldn't see much of anything that gave a hint towards any place that might house the first thinker.
There were businesses of all kinds, ranging from all sorts of services to basic goods. Some places for entertainment, others for training, but not much of a hint for any large collection of knowledge or science besides how to make things go 'boom'.
*huff*
Taking another glance towards Kota behind him, the boy was struggling to keep himself upright as his bag caused him to slouch over.
"I can store that away for you." Izuku offered again, not that Kota took him up on the offer.
"I-" *huff* "-can do this." The child stubbornly stated, wiping his sweaty forehead as he panted.
Reiko turned to Izuku, silently asking if she could assist. With a nod of permission, Reiko briefly reached out with her abilities to help carry the contents without Kota seeing. With a sudden relief, Kota smirked confidently as he began to catch up to them with renewed vigor. "See? I got this."
Sure.
Marching back to patrol the widespread city, Izuku kept an eye on the signs all around and continued to read any indicators that might help. Nope, nope, nope, weird, nope, nope, gross-
"Public archives." Izuku smiled, seeing they now had a first clue to finding out where the creator of the omnitrix in this universe could be.
"Huh?" Kota looked up, trying to read the same sign, only to see lots of weird scribbles and shapes. "Where does it say that?"
"Third from the bottom." Izuku pointed up, Kota following his finger and not seeing anything Japanese. When Izuku saw how confused Kota seemed, it finally clicked. "Oh, right. Let me see your omnitrix real quick."
Bending down to fiddle with the boy's watch, dialing through the different commands, he found the basic function and quickly activated it. Suddenly everything made sense to the boy, from alien murmurs around him to the words written along the signs and walls.
"Woahahaha! I'll never have to study English again!"
"Actually." Izuku began to correct, knowing exactly how Kota would react. "I only activated the translator for alien languages. I isolated anything from Earth."
"So I still have to study?!"
"Yep."
"Drat."
A sudden droning came from above, one of the large cargo ships above making a terrible rumbling noise from its engines. It looked more worn out than the others, barely able to keep itself steady in the air as it-
*CRACK*
A puff of black smoke shot out the back, shaking the entire contraption in a loud jerk of motion as its oil spit out onto the street below. It shuttered, swerving to its side until crashing its side against the metal building letting out an ear splitting screech as alien steel ground against each other.
The citizens merely looked up, keeping an eye on its shaky trajectory as it bounced up and down until gravity started to win the battle with the failing technology. Izuku kept a close eye, waiting to see if things could get under control without their intervention. He didn't want to start a scene, especially not around-
"Aw yeah! Finally some action!"
Aaaannnd there goes Kota.
When the boy went for his omnitrix, Izuku immediately became alerted. "Kota wait!"
*BWOOOSH*
Kota transformed before them, in front of everyone as he raced to the falling cargo ship. Izuku began running after the child, already gaining notice. There were only two things, TWO THINGS that Kota was instructed to do. Don't bring attention to yourself, and DO NOT TRANSFORM!
And how did he think turning into Upchuck would help?!
The small alien boy silently cursed the omnitrix as it turned him into the wrong alien, but he would still make it work. Leaping up onto a parked vehicle and jumping as high as he could, his long tongues lashed out to stick to the bottom of the crashing ship. He pulled himself up, swinging onto the top of the ship to get a better look at the smoking thruster.
"This is going to be spicy."
Shooting out his tongues to wrap around the smoking chunk of machinery, he yanked it back into his mouth and chewed thoroughly, huffing out the occasional smoke to keep his mouth from overheating, and swallowed it deeply. "There, easy as pie."
*BOOM*
Then the other engine exploded, its flames flowing out and igniting the spilled oil that encompassed the rest of the ship. A thudding came from the front, Kota running as fast as his short legs could take him over to the noise.
"Help!"
He started running faster upon hearing the voice, arriving to the cockpit to see dark clouds flooding behind the glass. Occasional fists banging against it, trapped inside. Acting fast, Upchuck quickly snatched up the obstruction in a single bite, the stinging smoke throwing itself into his face as he reached inside. He managed to grab the person inside, Kota leaping out with their body in his arms and away from the danger.
An invisible force caught him from the air, gently guiding Kota and his passenger down to the ground.
*SPLOOOOSH*
Two powerful streams of water crashed against the front of the cabin of the ship, slowing down its momentum until the trajectory was completely reliant on them. Down below, Izuku in his Water Hazard form guided the ship down gently from underneath until it rested on the cleared road.
"Woah, what's this alien?" Upchuck came waddling up with Reiko appearing beside them.
"An Orishan." Water Hazard answered, folding his arms before the young boy.
"Huh, it's kind of like my quirk." Glancing down at his green stubby hands, Kota never tried it before but know that he thought of it. He threw them forward, trying to summon his quirk that belonged to his human body. Nope, didn't work. Not surprising anyways.
"So why didn't you use your quirk?" The lowered tone from the normally cheerful and kind Izuku spoke from above. "Why did you use the omnitrix?"
"What do you mean?" The boy looked up to the much taller alien. "We stopped the ship from crashing didn't we?"
"Either one of us could have handled that." Water Hazard gestured between himself and Reiko. "Kota, you could have just unleashed Ghost Freak just now and we'd be in more trouble than before."
"Well I didn't-he-hey!"
Not bothering to hear his excuse, Water Hazard yanked Kota's arm up and began to quickly input a command code, hoping Kota's would be similar enough to engage it. With two bleeps, Water Hazard sighed as he released Kota, or Upchuck for the next foreseeable future.
"What did you do?"
"Locked the transformation." Water Hazard answered, waving for the two to follow and get away from the scene. "Ghost Freak originally escaped when the omnitrix timed out, so now we won't have to worry about that."
"You mean, I'm stuck like this?!" Upchuck glanced down to his plushy body, one that was fun for only a few minutes but for more than an hour?!
"HALT!"
A sudden convoy of multiple vehicles flew into their immediate airspace, hovering over them with engines sounding like angry wasps. Their paint jobs were clean, the same blue as the buildings around them and the clothes the people wore. There wasn't any clear insignia about who sent them, but judging by how big the guns equipped along the sides were Izuku would guess this was at least the local law enforcement. Possibly higher.
"Follow my lead." Water Hazard commanded the others, putting up his hands in submission. Reiko quickly obeyed, Upchuck groaning as he half heartedly raised his own.
One of the larger vehicles descended in front of them, swerving around until its back was facing the trio. The metal plate hissed, falling down to make a ramp for the several soldiers inside to rush out and surround them with weapons pointed right at them.
"I warn you." Upchuck started. "I've got a full belly."
"Stop it." Water Hazard hissed towards the boy, really wishing he would just shut up when there were guns aimed at their heads.
One of the men, very short with a large hat and one oversized monocle with medals littering his chest, stomped in his long boots as he approached. "Which one of you is in possession of the omnitrix?"
For the first time, Kota actually kept his mouth shut. Good, that means Izuku can start negotiations. First, a clarifying question. "What makes you think we have it?"
"You take us for fools?!" The easily aggravated little man shouted. "Our great leader was the one who had the omnitrix created in the first place! You think we don't have a way to detect its activation upon its return? Not to mention you blatantly wearing it in front of us!"
He flicked out a small stick, pointing it straight at Water Hazard's chest where his own hourglass symbol rested.
"Our leader would have a word with you, and how you procured the device. Immediately."
You know what? It wasn't the worst case scenario. Not yet at least. These people would take them right to a person who at least was involved in the omnitrix's development, and if the omnitrix brought them here well that meant the creator must be here too.
In a short burst of energy, Izuku returned to his human form just to really sell the point that he had the omnitrix, not Kota. Just in case they were to try something.
"Take us to your leader." Izuku complied, his little joke making Upchuck chuckle as he followed behind as they all stepped forward into the transportation.
Life Form lock function was seen in Omniverse twice, in Season 3 Episode 10 and Season 4 Episode 1. In other news, anyone starting to recognize which Ben 10 inspired planet they've arrived to?
Kota's other alien, Upchuck. That just leaves one more alien we have yet to see but Kota has mentioned what it is before.

The wielder of the blue flames: No one officially attacked, so no harm no foul.
AnimeFan13579: Yeah, I think by the end of this arc Izuku would be willing to unlock some more things for Kota. Creator permitting of course.
Trux-Killer: Yes, where the codon stream is.
Mashot Tito: Jumba is a little prideful, and could be holding vital information that could be dangerous if it's not accurate with reality. Better to go in blind than be pointed towards the wrong path.
HeartGemHolder: As you can probably already tell, the omnitrix brought them to a civilized world completely different from any we've seen involved with Azmuth. While some Omakes sound fun, I can't afford to divert any writing time to something other than the main story.
PrimordialTitan: No, no more seeing Jumba
Omni-Trickery: I don't think they go that far. They add to reality as far as I know, not alter it.
As for Tokoyami's situation, I don't believe so. His quirk is interesting, as it seems like it's two in one.
Buddybump: Overflow is a Water Hazard rip off, and I don't know or care enough about the others.
Guest: I don't know where Pixie-Bob's control of Earth starts and ends, so it could go either way.
Fire turtle: On multiple instances they've shown Diamond Head's crystal shards grow after he throws them. As for his telekinetic aspect, it was seen in Alien Force Season 3 Episode 2
I plan on telling this story completely different than the secret of the omnitrix movie.
Harleking31: I think Tetsutetsu might not go for it because Lodestar's body isn't as durable. He can pull himself together yeah, but not ideal for his fighting style. The other guy yeah, I see a good mix with Wildmutt.
Midoryia-Uzumaki13: Most stories aren't reaching half a million words.
