Elijah stuck his hands in his pockets and stood in the art room with Klaus. "Niklaus. I have a witch to do the spell and I have the vampire and wolf you need for the ritual. The full moon will happen soon. The witch says she does not require the blood of a doppelganger."

Klaus raised a brow and stopped painting. He looked at his brother. "I am far more interested in where the moonstone is brother. Did you forget about that being a necessary component?"

"I did not forget. We should undagger Rebekah. She-"

"No. It's not time yet. Our father still lurks and I will not jeopardize my family. She stays in the box." Klaus interrupted.

Elijah sighed and then heard movement at the front door. He caught the scent at the same time as Klaus. It was Bella.

Klaus flashed to the front door leaving Elijah standing in the art studio. He opened the front door before Bella could knock. "Bella. This is a pleasant surprise." He said with a charming smile.

Bella had dreamt of Klaus the last week. Since her birthday two weeks ago, she had thought about him a lot and she didn't know what it meant. Damon went on a long talk about how he was dangerous because he was an original vampire. He was older than she could even possibly imagine but yet, she felt something, for him. As odd as it may be, Klaus was making her forget about Edward and everything that he put her through. Or in the very least, the nightmares were replaced with images of Klaus, smiling at her.

"I h-haven't seen you around in a while." Bella stuttered a little. The last two weeks she hadn't seen Klaus and she was starting to wonder if Damon had something to do with it or was Klaus just toying with her somehow. Either way, she mustered up the courage to drive over to the mansion. She got the information from Caroline. She has to be sure which house was Klaus's.

Klaus smiled and motioned for her to come inside. "Hmmm. Well, I have been a bit busy as of late. Something to drink love?"

Bella hugged her arms around her frame. "No. I'm okay." She said and looked around at the mansion. It was open and bright. She almost imagined it to be a dreary castle on the inside. It was surprising to see it so modern.

Klaus studied her. "I make you uncomfortable." He said it as a statement. She was so drawn in to herself like she was guarding herself and he hated that he made her feel that way. He knew now that she was his imprint. It was odd to even think about. He hadn't broken the curse yet. But here she was, standing in front of him. She was real.

"No." Bella shook her head. "I… I'm broken… Klaus. I think it will take time for me to understand what I feel. I've been dreaming about you and-"

Klaus smiled, a charming smile. "I dream about you too, love." He murmured.

Bella blushes a little and looked away. "I just realized that vampires sleep. I suppose I was used to the cold ones."

Klaus frowned. "Cold vampires are generally very dangerous. You've been around one?"

Bella nodded. "My ex… he uh."

"Oh no." Klaus murmured. "That is why you're withdrawn…"

Bella swallowed and nodded. "I am trying to move past it. I know there's something here between us. It's obvious that you… think of me. And I do the same."

"It's because you're my imprint." Klaus was blunt. He never wanted to lie to her.

Bella frowned she knew what an imprint was. Jake had mentioned it before. "When did you know?"

"The moment we collided love. That's when it happened. I just didn't know that it was an imprint until recently."

"But you're not a wolf."

Klaus nodded. "I'm not just a vampire love. I'm a hybrid. My wolf side has been locked away for centuries now."

Bella wasn't sure what to say. She didn't know that hybrids were a thing but then again, she didn't know that her father could be a vampire. There was so much in the supernatural world that didn't make sense and she wasn't sure if she even wanted to make sense of any of it.

Elijah entered the room. "I have the witch searching for the moonstone brother."

Klaus sighed and looked at his brother. "Okay. Now if you don't mind- "

"I'll be in the study." Elijah said and dismissed himself.

Bella watched Elijah leave. She had dreamt of him too and it made her feel strange but she pushed all those thoughts away. "Moonstone?"

"Breaking my curse. So I can access both sides of myself." Klaus said. "I know this is a lot of information. I promise you, I will never hide anything from you. I imagine it is hard for you to trust."

Bella thought about how Edward was. He never trusted her with anything. He found anything to use against her so he could take from her. Her memories faded back in.

[Trigger warning]

"Bella, I am yours and you are mine." Edwards voice was soft, calling to her.

Bella smiled at Edward. He was her prince. Her love. She would do anything for him. "Yes." She nodded.

Edward gave her a smile but it faded the next moment. "I don't want you talking to anyone at school. Jessica is too influential. Just look at what you're wearing. You're begging some man to fuck you."

Bella frowned. "Its just a tank top it's hot outside."

Edward's hands gripped her arms tight, bruising her already. "Don't you dare talk back to me." He said and then his mouth was biting her on her chest right above her breast. She cried out in pain but he bit her, injecting her with venom. It was the first bite he had ever inflicted on her. But she deserved it. She was misbehaving.

Bella felt her veins burn as the venom shot through her. She had never experienced pain to this degree. She was in shock as Edward hurt her but he was right. She should be more mindful.

Edward started sucking her blood now, pulling the venom from her blood and she felt the wash of relief flow over her. He made her lay on the ground and he undid her pants.

Bella felt lightheaded. "What are you doing?"

"Tasting all of you. You belong to me." Edward said and ripped her pants down. His mouth bit the inside of her thigh and she whined in pain again as she felt the venom rush in again. Then he was sucking the venom out with her blood, sending that relief back to her. His tongue lapped up the blood as it pooled from her leg. His hands pulled at her panties and she was too weak to move. She lay there perfectly still, her mind fuzzy. She felt his tongue lapping at her Mound but it didn't feel quite right. She couldn't speak now. He stopped to lean up. She was a virgin, what was he doing? She blinked her vision somewhat blurry. He had his cock out now and he was stroking himself and grunting. His movements were so fast her eyes couldn't keep up. She closed her eyes to rest them and then she felt extreme pain as he shoved his cock inside her with no warning. She cried out in pain, her body shaking violently as he thrust on top of her.

[Trigger end]

Elijah came back when he heard Klaus trying to get Bella's attention. "What's happened?"

"She's lost in a trigger." Klaus explained. He put pulled Bella into his arms and held her and she shook like she was scared. "Bella, love. Come back to me." Klaus could feel her fear from her memory cloud and he didn't like that she felt so afraid of something. The imprint bond was starting to get stronger because the wave of emotion he was feeling was more than the first time this happened.

Bella gasped, her eyes going wide as she fought out of the bubble. Her hands clutched Klaus's shirt when she came to. Her icy eyes stared up into his ocean eyes. "K… Klaus."

Klaus felt relief when she said his name. "Its okay. You're not wherever you disappeared to. I will never harm you. Please trust that." He murmured and took a hand and gently caressed her cheek. "What is scaring you so bad love?" he whispered his curiosity.

Bella somehow knew that Klaus wasn't lying to her. That he was being truthful about him not hurting her. She tilted her face up and kissed him, her lips parting and her tongue sweeping over his. It was bold and probably the first bold move she had made.

Klaus was surprised when she kissed him and even more surprised when she deepened the kiss. She clung to him, not giving any space between them.

Elijah looked away, a strange feeling emerging. He left quietly, leaving Klaus and Bella to themselves.

Klaus's hands moved to her hips as she pressed against him. Emotions were running high between the two. The imprint bond was pushing him to want to finish the connection but he had no means or marking her. His curse was still not broken but yet he felt odd like a different power filling him inside.

Bella didn't let up. She chased the feeling inside. The feeling that was chasing away the bad feeling of Edward. She longed to replace those horrid memories with new ones so she would stop being reminded of what happened in the past. Moving toward a new beginning seemed like the right idea. She felt Klaus's hands on her hips and that sent a shot of excitement through her and she took her hands to the hem of his shirt and lifted. She paused the kiss to get Klaus's shirt off to reveal his hard abs and flawless skin. Her hands connected with his bare chest and she felt how warm he was and made her pause. She looked up at him, her breathing a little erratic. His ocean eyes were swirling with edges of gold. It was beautiful and she was in awe.

Klaus felt something shift inside him when she took his shirt off. A heat that rose in him that he had never experienced before. "Something is different…"

"Your eyes are gold and you're warmer."

Klaus didn't know what this meant. "It's the hybrid… the wolf. It's… breaking free. Because of you.. " he murmured.

Bella nodded. "Do you want to stop. I um…"

Klaus kissed her again, he wanted nothing more than to keep going with her. His curse was splintering open and his hybrid was shining through. This was a good thing.

Bella kissed him back again, her body yielding to his as his hands brushed up under her shirt up her sides. It send shivers through her and she leaned into his touch. It was the first time she wanted someone to touch her and so, she wanted more.

Klaus felt his hybrid side get stronger and his emotions were overwhelming and he pulled away, breathing heavy. He had to stop. He didn't want to hurt Bella and right now he didn't have enough control.

Bella was confused when he stopped. She watched the gold fade from his eyes and the scared look on his face. She put a hand up to her lips, the warmth of his lips were fading now. "I…"

"I can't." Klaus said, shaking his head.

Bella felt her anxiety spike again and she shook her head. She wasn't good enough for this. She shouldn't be like this. She was too messed up to even think she could have normalcy with someone like Klaus. He looked at her like he was afraid and that cut deep. She shook her head again and she ran away.

Klaus was confused and overwhelmed that he didn't know what just happened. "Elijah!"

Elijah was there in a flash. "Niklaus. What's wrong?"

"I… I don't know. Shes upset. I don't... I don't trust myself. Please." Klaus never said please, but he was now.

Elijah understood exactly what Klaus needed him to do. He left and went after Bella. He followed her scent towards the quarry. He found her standing there, her sobs could be heard and her body visibly shook. "Bella."

Bella hadn't heard Elijah walk up but he was a vampire so it made sense. "I'm so messed up." She cried.

"You're not messed up. You've experienced trauma. That doesn't make you… messed up." Elijah coaxed and walked closer.

Bella shook her head. "I was feeling… normal and then. He's scared of me. I'm the problem. Edward left me because something is wrong with me and Klaus… I just."

"Nothing is wrong with you. You're hurting from a broken heart. What you and Klaus share is special. A bond. It can help heal." Elijah explained.

Bella shook her head. "This can't be healed. I can't be healed!" she turned and faced Elijah now. She tore her shirt up over her head. She stood there, the coolness or the air tasting her skin. White crescent scars peppered her body where Edward bit her repeatedly. "I am a monster!"

Elijah was in shock. He didn't realize that Edward has done something so terrible to her. He fed on her and he was a cold one. He essentially used her as a blood bag. Her body has the scars to prove it. "Bella… you're not a monster."

"I live... in constant fear now. First I was afraid he would never return like I needed him. He did this and I'm the one that is sorry. He drained my blood only enough to make me feel like I was high after the venom tortured my veins. I… get trapped in my memories of him. Of everything he did to me."

Elijah stepped closer, reaching out to place a hand on her arm but she pulled away. "Bella calm down. Everything is going to be okay."

Bella shook her head, tears blinding her. "It'll never be okay. I did something wrong again. Klaus doesn't… he realized I'm pathetic. That I'm nothing. I shouldn't exist. I shouldn't have come here I should have jumped from the cliffs in La Push after he left. I-"

Elijah kissed her now to calm her down. To make her stop talking nonsense. When he did a shock went through him. It made him gasp and look at her in surprise. She stared up at him with wide, surprised eyes. He was confused by the feeling, as if he wasn't confused already. But he kissed her again, the feeling shattering. He knew what this meant. His vampire mate… was Bella.

Bella didn't know what to do. So many emotions ran through her but Elijah's kiss steadied her, brought her back down to reality. His hands tangled up in her hair and he pulled her to him closer. She melted against him instantly and she shivered as the wind kicked up around them.

Elijah leaned back and brushed his hand over her cheek. "You are… worthy Bella. You are spectacular and you are extraordinary. Do not let Edward's cowardice actions force you to think any less or yourself because you are more than these scars." He murmured and kissed her forehead.

"I'm so confused. Why do I feel like you're … mine?" Bella didn't know what to think.

"Because I am your mate." Elijah said, the words thrilling to say.

Bella didn't understand how she could be his mate and Klaus's imprint at the same time.

Elijah took her shirt and pulled it over her head when she shivered again. It was colder out today because of the storm moving in. "Come… let's talk it out with Niklaus." He said, taking her hand in his. The two walked away from the quarry and back towards the mansion.
