Going through the doorway with Alpha leading them, the couple felt an uncomfortable change in the pressure, their ears starting to pop, Alpha saying this was normal.

It was one of Doctor Ivo's protocols, ensuring that the computer that the emergency card went to wouldn't be at risk for any foreign matter entering it.

"Doctor Ivo was a paranoid man, Alpha," Paul noted that Doctor Ivo was careful and not the man he thought he was, and Alpha replied, "Indeed."

Taking advantage of their time, Paul asked, "Alpha, what do you remember?"

Alpha responded, "Reference?"

"What was Doctor Ivo working on shortly before he…?"

"Unknown."

"… Unknown as in you can't tell me or unknown that you don't know what it is?"

"I cannot process it."

"Have you seen anything like it before?"

"No."

"Is it here, still?"

"No."

Chewing on his inner lip, Paul then proceeded to ask more questions, trying to get as much as he could from Alpha despite the limitations imposed by Doctor Ivo.

"What was he doing with it, can you tell me that?"

"Processing. Yes. Doctor Ivo was helping resolve a severe energy leakage."

"Leakage?"

"Yes."

"What was leaking?"

"Unknown."

"So, what was leaking?"

"… Unknown… radioactivity was a major concern. Concerns were acknowledged. Like Omega. Required more unknown to function."

"Why Doctor Ivo?"

"Doctor Ivo had similar issues with our upgrades. He fixed them several upgrades ago."

"Your issues?"

"Yes, we had energy leakages due to our nature."

"How were you fixed?"

"Patented process. Denied."

"Do you believe that whoever killed your creator stole that process?"

"No."

Looking up at the towering robot, Paul questioned how it was sure that the killer wasn't successful stealing the secrets of Doctor Ivo's process, to which it replied, "When creator warned us of the treachery, we worked to hide it. The creator did not want his process falling into the wrong hands."

Alpha and its brethren worked to hide Doctor Ivo's secrets from his killer, shortly before the Daleks came, it doesn't think the killer was successful in their attempts getting it out of them.

"Why was this process so important?" Taylor spoke up, wanting to know more about what the elusive Alpha knew.

Turning its head towards her, it replied, "They believed… it was the only process that worked…"

Tilting her head curiously, Taylor pressed, "Would it?"

"No."

"No?"

"Unknown was not compatible with the process."

Despite what the killer might've thought, whatever they wanted help with, wouldn't worked, and they done it all for nothing.

Not in Paul's purview, he seemed uncomfortable by the second that Taylor had to touch his arm to get him to snap out of it.

"Paul, what's going on?" Taylor wanted to know why he looked like he was ready to throw caution to the wind the way he looked during their conversations with Alpha.

She pressed for answers and heard Paul ask, "Did the Dalek tell you anything?"

Shaking her head, Taylor replied, "It only thought I was one of Alpha's brethren. Why?"

Chewing on his inner lip until near bloody, Paul held her close as he expressed, "I know who killed Alpha's creator, did all this."

The vagueness bothered her so much Taylor recoiled until Alpha snapped them out their conversation, reminding them that Omega can still track them, that they shouldn't dawdle.

Slowly nodding, Taylor agreed not to push on the matter, but seeing the nervousness in Paul, it's almost unheard of, and the only times he done this were so rare, she could count on one hand.

Frowning, Taylor continued following them, as she did, she started having the feeling of being watched.

Just nerves, she reasoned, with Paul it's only normal that she shares his uneasiness.

The feeling got stronger as though someone was looking at Taylor from behind, that she turned her head to look down the corridor, but there was no one there.

Taylor couldn't shake the uncomfortable feeling of someone watching her, that she tried telling Paul, but it felt like something prevented her.

Like a soft hand around her mouth, it kept Taylor from communicating this to Paul, and when she tried to tell him with their telepathic connection, the same thing, something prevented her.

Only when she relented, the feelings passed.

The corridor opened into a large area with a high ceiling, there were no lights, they had to rely on Alpha guiding them through the darkness, as Paul and Taylor walked close to Alpha as they barely see through the darkness.

Alpha stops for a moment as it saw through the darkness with its red HUD, enhanced, it can see they're in a large open area, at the back there was one door.

One door left.

Faintly, Alpha remembered Doctor Ivo, in his dying breath, telling it, that whatever happens, it was doing its mission.

He strived for his creations, wanting them to do better, now that he is gone, his last will and testament was Alpha.

But now, Alpha wasn't certain.

It had foreign components, coding that wasn't there before.

It can see what was used to restore its functions, down to the circuit boards, alien technology, no understanding what they were once for, only what they were used to replace.

The coding jumbled, incoherent, without Taylor's aid, likely Alpha would shut itself off in an attempt to correct the coding mess, inadvertently becoming enslaved to the Dalek coding that wormed into Doctor Ivo's, becoming active the moment it sensed Alpha's attempt.

Deep within, Alpha saw an unknown message with a special instruction.

It read it well and understood what it had to do.

"Alpha," it heard.

It didn't come from either Paul or Taylor.

Lights shined above as they turned on, a massive robot standing in the centre, its eye stocks focused on Alpha.

"Omega," Alpha said back in awe seeing its maligned brethren seemingly waiting for them.

"Alpha."

"Omega."

"Alpha."

"Omega."

The robots stared at each other, Alpha gripping its photon canon arm as Omega raises its large mangled photon canon.

Alpha looked tepid at its brethren.

They're the only ones left in the complex.

The others gone.

Omega destroying Beta-100…

It can scan Omega from where it stood, the HUD showing the different parts that went into repairing Omega.

Different parts showed where they came from.

"Gamma… Beta… Zeta…Epsilon… Dalek Theta… Dalek Omicron… Dalek Zephyr…" Alpha murmured as it saw all the names absorbed into one being.

Shrugging off the shock, Alpha turned towards Paul and Taylor, telling them to hurry to the other end, and get inside the room.

"Alpha… Doctor… Exterminate…!" Omega protested Alpha allowing their enemy to live.

Alpha asserted, "Doctor… Ally… Omega… Incorrect!"

Omega fired back as it lurched forward, with every word, it grew erratic, "Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!"

Grabbing Taylor's hand Paul fled with her as Omega began open firing its weapon.

Alpha jumped to the side as it narrowly avoided the blast, the sound echoing throughout the room as it sounded like booming thunder.

Turning its massive body, Omega sees Paul and Taylor fleeing, it pointed its photon canon onto Paul, its voice becoming that of three different Daleks combined into one being, "Doctor! Exterminate! Exterminate!"

Alpha opened fire on Omega, though it hurt doing so, on its own brethren, but it had no choice, and the beam hit Omega square in the chest, sending it backwards, turning its attention back on Alpha.

"Al-pha! En-e-my! Ex-ter-min-ate!" Omega's robotic voice rattled as it shrugged off the beam, training its own photon canon onto Alpha.

No longer did Omega see Alpha as its brethren, an enemy, and it will do nothing to stop until it is exterminated, and then it will go after Paul and Taylor.

Against its programming, Alpha proceeded to wage a fight against Omega, but it already knew, it was outmatched.

The lurching Omega, towered even it, a monster of different parts, that it can't hope to destroy it on its own.

"Doctor…" Alpha recalled its creator's last words to it shortly before he was killed.

It shall be done.

Accepting its fate, Alpha continued fighting Omega, keeping its attention focused away from Paul and Taylor.

"Ex-ter-min-ate!" Omega's robotic voice devolved further into madness, wanting to destroy Alpha at any cost, firing its weapon the moment it had Alpha locked on one of the eye stocks.
