Alpha effortlessly dodged Omega's attacks, taking to the air, as it narrowly avoided the photon beams, streams of beams hitting the walls and ceilings, black smoke bellowed, brittle debris crashing into the ground, turning into fine black ash that spread out into the area.

Relentlessly, Omega attempted to assault Alpha, and Alpha continued narrowly avoiding it, but Omega continued to open fire, sending photon blasts everywhere.

Alpha knew that it wouldn't take long before Omega's power sources started failing again, it'll soon seek out another source of power, and the destruction it'll inevitably cause would be too great for it to bear.

Doctor Ivo would have never wanted this.

Omega had its faults, but it didn't deserve to become this, and Alpha knows there was nothing it can do for its brethren.

Like a zombie, it carries the name, but it looked nothing like its former.

"Exterminate!"

Though Alpha avoided the latest blast while trying to fire one back, the photon blast from Omega clipped one of Alpha's propelling rockets, causing damage to it, resorting Alpha to the ground as it worked to control the damage and divert resources to the other working rockets.

"Exterminate!"

The towering Omega raised its photon canon and this time Alpha managed to clip it, causing damage, and Omega temporary staggering backwards as its HUD flashed corrupted warning messages as it barreled towards Alpha, not worrying about its photon canon.

It can't.

It'll take up too much resources that it doesn't have, it's already limited, and it knows this.

Part of it wanted to leave and replenish its wavering power sources, but the Dalek code insisted that it continue its mission in destroying the Doctor and the Doctor adjacent.

"Exterminate!"

Alpha worked to redirect power and flew overhead, avoiding the charging Omega as it slammed into the wall, leaving a massive dent, as it struggled to release itself from the dent.

Taking this opportunity, Alpha fired its photon beam at Omega.

Square in the back, the photon beam hit it, but it didn't do much, and Omega shrugged it off as it forced itself from the dent, turning around to speedily go after Alpha.

In the air, Alpha opened fire, Omega dodging its photon beams once more.

"Exterminate!"

In its memory banks, Alpha counted what parts went into its rebuilding and the answer did nothing to soothe the already distraught robot, "Alpha… Delta… Dalek Kyr…"

Then in its memory bank, it found the hidden message it promised to give.

Determined, Alpha flew over Omega's head pointing its photon canon downward, opening fire, the beam hit Omega's head, but it shrugged it off.

Hopelessly, Alpha continued the cat-and-mouse fight against Omega, the robot insistent on destroying it any means necessary.

Including ignoring its own safety HUD as it went back its original tactics, this time, it flew up, bent on ramming Alpha into the wall.

While it flew, Alpha saw an unusual pop-up on its HUD that didn't come from Doctor Ivo, or it did, and it didn't notice because of the conflict with Omega.

It's an unknown form of text, a corrupted message, to who?

Alpha felt its HUD taking life of its own unscrambling the message for it, revealing a detailed schematic of Omega's new form.

How…?

In the schematic, there were words, directed to Alpha.

"Destroy."

And it will.

With the schematics loaded into Alpha's HUD, it used it to pinpoint the fatal flaws within Omega, the tactics, that Omega struggled.

One well-placed photon blast when Omega was in mid-flight, caused a stream of energy to disperse from the hole in the side of its chest, sending it to the ground with a loud crash.

Slowly hovering to the ground, focused on Omega, Alpha slowly went up to it.

It was still alive, barely, the radiation plumed from its body, Alpha can see it in its HUD.

With its last strength, Omega held one last conversation with its brethren, seemingly freed of the Dalek code.

"Omega…"

"Alpha."

"Omega."

"Alpha.

"Omega."

"Alpha."

"Omega. Destroy?"

"Alpha. Confirmed."

"Mission. Failed?"

"Mission. Success."

"Creator?"

"Offline."

Either an act of mercy or part of its code, Alpha opened fire on Omega, it didn't let up until the HUD warned that Alpha's photon canon was getting dangerously hot.

Upon recoil, Alpha stepped back, looking at the remains of Omega.

"Omega. Offline," Alpha quietly said as it studied its destroyed brethren, releasing the radiation from the smoldering heap, quickly the room enveloped in it, and already Alpha sees the radiation starting to affect it.

Like poison it seeped through its metal chassis.

No fault of Doctor Ivo, he never expected his creations to be subjected to radiation this strong.

Slowly, Alpha felt the radiation sweep through its body, and temperatures dangerously rising to critical levels.

Time no longer on its side, Alpha chose to use the little time it had, to slowly move towards the only room in the chaos protected from it.

As it moved, it lost use of one of its legs, forcing it to drag it across the floor, scrapping against it, the HUD splashed with warnings.

Upon reaching the secure door, Alpha opened the channel with Paul.

"Alpha!" It heard Paul call out to it.

"Doctor…" Alpha responded with a drone.

"Alpha!" Taylor stood next to Paul, worry in her emerald eyes.

Gesturing, Paul frantically tells Alpha that the complex has caught fire and it's sweeping throughout, and Alpha sees this on its HUD.

"Doctor… Ivo… always… plans… ahead…" Alpha stiltedly replied as it saw power failures popping up as the temperatures continued to rise.

It knew Paul and Taylor were protected from the chaos; Doctor Ivo ensured there was one place in his entire complex that would keep anyone who managed to get to it safe.

"Grace Taylor," it called out to her.

Taylor acknowledged this with a nod as she clutched Paul's arm.

"We. Are. Weapons."

With that said, fire burst through Alpha's body, blasting through the chassis, engulfing the robot into bright blue flames, as fire began sweeping through the battlefield.

Protected from the burning inferno outside in the protective room, Paul and Taylor made their escape through the TARDIS that came the moment it saw Omega destroyed.

Upon appearing somewhere else entirely as the winds will carry radioactive isotopes throughout the area, the TARDIS sat on a hill overlooking a quiet wheat field.

Sitting on the steps with a despondent look on her face, Taylor rubbed her eyes as she tried to stop herself from crying.

Holding her close as he sat beside her on the steps, Paul stroked her back, her ruby red hair with strands of blond flowed through his fingers.

Shaking her head, Taylor wondered if there was a way they could've saved Alpha, and Paul hesitates as he struggled for words, "With those components, I'm not sure if we could safely remove them without destroying Alpha."

They didn't have the schematics and Daleks certainly wouldn't let them have theirs to reference, that saving Alpha would be difficult.

"Paul… tell me… who came to the complex?" Taylor wanted to know who came to the complex.

It had to be someone who knew more than they let on, else why would Doctor Ivo want anything to do with them?

More, they were someone that the Daleks chased after.

Not many people warranted being chased by them, Daleks were thorough when they wanted to exterminate someone.

Heavily sighing, Paul feeling numbness on the back of his tongue, he brings up, "Do you remember the conversation we had… where I told you about… a dangerous man?"

Her eyes focused on Paul, Taylor responds with, "But… he's… he's dead… isn't he?"

A frown on his face, Paul asserted that his father and grandfather were certain that he was dead, but something clearly went wrong, and now he's not sure if the madman really is dead.

It'd explain why the Daleks were so hellbent coming here, they been chasing after the bastard for who knows how long, but he was wise to their ways, and lured them to their doom, use them to put together robots to see what they'll do.

"But, why go through the effort?" Taylor gently wiped away the tears from her face as she softly sniffled as she felt her emotions welling up inside her.

It made no sense a madman would go through the efforts to recreate the robots if he got what he wanted or something to that effect, but Paul warned that with the madman, even if there's no rhyme or reason to them, there is to him.

They can't hope to understand and believe Paul when he says that only a madman would know the answers.

"What about the message?" Taylor asks him.

Holding her close, Paul admitted, "I'm not sure, Grace."

Elsewhere…

Amid the burning ruins of Doctor Ivo's complex, a man stood among the rubble, looking over the destroyed remnants of Alpha and its brethren, Omega.

Tilting his head, the man knelt beside the burnt remnant of Alpha.

His illuminating eyes shined in the broken eye stock, the man dug around in the charred remains until he pulled out an unknown piece that looked virtually untouched by the fire and radiation.

Holding it into his hands, the strange man identified it, and held it close to his face as he uttered something, almost if he thinks someone's somehow listening with it, "Arma... non... sumus."
