[Salvatore Boarding House]

Bella fell asleep on the couch in the parlor and Damon and Renee let her be. Renee went on home, riding with Mason back to the Lockwood estates. Stefan and Elena retired to Stefan's room leaving Damon in the parlor sitting there with Bella. He was worried about her. Getting tangled up with the Mikaelson's. He didn't want to approve of this situation, but he had no right to tell her what she should do with her life. Since they just started working on their own relationship as father and daughter, he really didn't want to blow it. He also didn't want to blow it with Renee. He genuinely loved her. They shared Bella together and he wanted to share more. It was strange. A vampire falling in love with a werewolf. The Lockwoods were all werewolves. They carried the gene until they triggered the curse. Renee just hadn't triggered her curse.

Damon heard movement at the front door before the knock. He opened the door in a flash to Elijah and Klaus. He pursed his lips, looking past Elijah to Klaus. "You broke your curse? Are you dangerous, how-"

"I'm fine Damon, I wouldn't be here if I wasn't." Klaus said, his tone clipped.

"He's being truthful." Elijah said, his tone more respectful.

Damon didn't spare Elijah a glance. He only looked at Klaus. "She's sleeping. She was worried all night. I want to set some rules. I get it you're a bad ass hybrid now and you're an original vampire. I don't give a fuck. She is my daughter. My. Daughter." Damon said, emphasizing on the 'my'. "If it were up to me, I would move Renee and Bella far away from Mystic Falls and not blink an eye. She has been through hell. If you ask me, I don't think she's ready for… whatever the hell this," he motioned between Elijah and Klaus. "is. She's fragile and in pain. She still has nightmares. Bad ones and I don't want you both to come in here and fuck up her life anymore than it already is. But." He held a hand up, silencing Klaus, which was bold of Damon. "I understand what imprinting means. Believe me when I say I understand the vampire mate bond. More… than you know." He paused a second. "I don't trust either of you. But Bella does… and if you hurt her… I will figure out a way to kill you both… even if it means it kills me too."

Elijah admired Damon. He didn't doubt that Damon wouldn't figure out a way to kill them and it was honorable what he was saying. He was standing up for his daughter and that was commendable. "I'd like to say, before Klaus puts his foot in his mouth. Thank you. I understand the concern and I respect your choices. If… I hurt Bella… I understand the consequences that come with it."

Klaus looked at Elijah, arching his brow. "Well, that was an endearing speech. I don't plan on hurting Bella, Damon. I rather kill myself before I allow myself to hurt her. In any case, I would just like to see her. Even if she is asleep. I won't wake her."

Damon sighed, stepping to the side. "She wants to be woken up." He said and closed the door after Elijah and Klaus walked inside. He followed them into the parlor.

Elijah stood, his hand in his pocket casually as he watched his brother gently go to Bella's side. He sat on the couch slightly, his hand moving to her hand, his thumb brushing over it.

Bella blinked and looked up at Klaus. She gasped and then she was suddenly shooting forward to hug Klaus tight. Klaus's arms wrapped around her freely and he smiled. "You're okay."

"I'm okay, love. I wanted to come and tell you myself that I was okay." Klaus murmured. He closed his eyes, knowing his eyes were ringed gold right now and he didn't want to startle Damon or his brother. He could feel the wolf inside and he felt happy, which is why his hybrid leapt to the surface.

Bella was so glad that Klaus was okay. She had worried about him breaking his curse because she didn't understand everything quite yet and that was one thing that she worried most about. "How do you feel?" She pulled back to look at him.

Klaus pushed the hybrid away and he opened his eyes to look at her. His ocean eyes stared at her. "I feel stronger, better. The pain… the pain is gone inside me." He said with a nod. "I'm sorry I worried you." He murmured and reached a hand up and carefully tucked the loose strand of hair behind her ear.

Bella bit her lip and blushed a little. "Um. It's okay."

"I hope I never worry you so much in the future, my love." Klaus said softly.

Bella smiled and then her icy eyes moved over to Elijah, who had been patiently standing by. She moved off the couch and she went to him, hugging him. Elijah was always startled when he was embraced. He smiled and hugged her back, kissing the top of her head. "Thank you."

"No thanks are necessary Bella. He's my brother… you're my mate. I would never dream to let either of you down." Elijah said with a small smile.

Damon went and poured himself a drink. He tried not to focus too much on what was happening, but he took out two additional glasses and poured bourbon for Klaus and Elijah too.

Klaus took the glass that Damon offered with a nod and he took a drink. He watched his brother and Bella. It was clear how much Elijah loved her already. Klaus recalled Elijah's words. He didn't doubt that Elijah wouldn't fight for Bella. So, he would share her. Because he saw how much Bella needed both of them. Being brothers didn't have to complicate matters. He would do what was right and what was right, is allowing Bella to grow into the spectacular woman she was. She was healing from her time spent with Edward. Klaus did make a silent, personal vow. He would stop at nothing to hunt Edward down and tear him apart for what he did to Bella. No one should be at the mercy of a man, especially one like Edward. He didn't deserve to walk this earth and Klaus would see to it… that he would disappear. As if he never existed in the first place.

[Three Weeks Later: Halloween Ball: Mystic Falls Highschool]

Bella didn't like dances. She didn't care to dance, but she was going because Caroline and Elena were insistent upon it. Caroline was still in the dark about vampires. Elena said it was better that way and Bella agreed. "Do I have to do this?" Bella looked at the fully decorated school. There was a haunted gym to check out. The teachers put it together. Fitting because, bad grades were scary.

Bella was dressed up as a witch. She was wearing a metallic black skirt that was ripped in sexy, shaggy triangles that exposed her thighs and there was black netting that layered underneath it. Her top was tight, a leathery look that shimmered like a dark mystical sapphire. It pointed down at the hem and was attached to the skirt and left her the area above her hips bare. The corsets front was laced with dark ribbon and her breast felt like they would pop right out because of how tight it was. She had bigger boobs than Caroline did, so it was clear that she would have cleveage. The dark ribbon went up and was haltered at her neck, creating a pentagram shape. The back was completely exposed. She wore a dark lace shirt underneath, hiding her crescent scars because she didn't like to be that exposed. She wore dark lace under her skirt to hide the scars there and the boots she wore were thankfully flat, but they went all the way up to her knees and were black leather. Her hair was crimped and poofed out like she walked out of the 80s. Caroline clipped sapphire streaks in her hair and crimped them to match. She had a witches hat to complete her costume and she was forced into makeup. The sapphire eyeshadow was too bright for Bella's taste and fake lashes didn't feel great. But she humored Caroline since it was worse if you fought. She wore black lipstick to top it off and her nails were black to match. She was hot or well, that was what Tyler said when they were leaving Lockwood estates.

Elena wore her outfit from last year, which was a nurse's uniform, with blood splashed on it. She didn't have too many costumes and she didn't have time to go out shopping for one. The guys got off easy, being able to wear their football uniforms and they painted their faces ghostly colors and decided they were the football players from Beetlejuice.

Caroline was a devil. Her red tight, leotard left little to the imagination. She wore sheer red tights under and her boots were red leather as well. She sported the bright red lipstick and the devil horns too. Caroline was beautiful, absolutely gorgeous and anyone who would disagree, were blind. But tonight, Elena assured her, that Bella was the bombshell tonight.

"You have to! Come on! It'll be fun!" Caroline was always so happy and joyful, so it made it easy for Bella to be around her. The bubbly attitude was refreshing from time to time.

Bella followed Caroline and Elena into the dance, where they met up with the guys. Bella felt a little left out, but Matt was sweet enough to keep her company. He was charming and reminded her of a prince charming actually. He was easy going. She could see why Elena and him dated all of Sophomore year before her parents died. She learned so much about her friend group in the last few weeks. It wasn't surprising to her that Tyler was a playboy. Caroline and him were always hot and cold, but that was her cousin for you. Tyler was essentially a player and Caroline just didn't see it.

Elena found out that Stefan was a vampire after what happened with Vicki Donovan at last year's Halloween dance. Vicki mysteriously showed up as a vampire and Jeremy, Elena's little brother was infatuated with her. Granted, Elena knew that Stefan was a vampire right before the dance because of Vicki showing up and transitioning in her house. So, the cat was out of the bag, her and Stefan almost broke up over it, but she settled down then realized she loved Stefan enough to look past his vampire nature.

That's when Bella learned that Stefan didn't drink human blood. That he was dependent on the wildlife around him. It made her think about the Cullens again. She admitted that they weren't all bad. She missed Jasper and Emmett. They were always so nice to her.

"Drink?" Matt asked, breaking Bella out of the memory bubble she was going into.

Bella smiled at Matt. "Sure. Alcohol please." She said and Matt disappeared to get her a drink. The punch bowl was likely spiked by this point. She looked around her. Kids from school were all dressed up in different outfits. Music was playing loudly and everyone was having fun. It made her anxiety spike a little being around this many people. She didn't know how she let Caroline and Elena talk her into coming to the dance. She rubbed her hand over her arm a little nervous until Matt appeared with a drink for her.

"So Tyler spiked the punch bowl… so… I can't be sure what is in this." Matt said with a small smile and handed her the drink.

Bella took the drink and smiled. "Well, it's Tyler… so probably some kind of vodka." She said and then sniffed it. She could smell the alcohol. She shrugged and took a long drink. The punch was fruity, so it helped her drink it down without issue, but it wasn't bad overall.

Matt raised a brow. "You know how to drink."

Bella hadn't really drunk a lot before, but she did know what it felt to feel like you were drunk. Edward biting her and injecting her with his venom only to drain it out of her, left her feeling high of some sort. Somehow, alcohol hit harder though and a few moments later, she was feeling the affects, but she wasn't outwardly showing it yet.

The night continued on, there was squeals and laughter from the haunted house. Bella didn't like haunted houses, so she wouldn't go in, but she watched Tyler and Caroline go in together and then Elena and Stefan. Matt didn't leave her side now that it was clear that Bella was a little drunk from the spiked punch.

"Do you want me to take you home?" Matt asked, concerned.

Bella shook her head. "Nah, I'm okay." She slurred a little.

Klaus appeared then. He was dressed like normal, a button up shirt, with the top two buttons undone and it was white and his pants were black. He wanted to be there sooner, but he was working on the business aspect of being a Mikaelson. He owned several businesses and he was over in McKinney with Elijah working on an acquisition of some apartment buildings in the area and the meeting ran late. He found Bella easily, following her scent, but he could also pick her out of a crowd by the sound of her heart. He realized that she was very drunk and he found that amusing, since he had never seen her drunk before. "You're plastered." He made an observation.

Bella didn't startle like she normally would have because the alcohol had dampened her senses. "Oh, hey you."

Matt looked at Klaus. He had seen him around a few times at the Grill, but he didn't know him "officially", but Bella knew him apparently. "The punch is spiked."

Bella giggled a little and then leaned against Klaus, his warmth making her feel safe. "Hmm. Yes… the punch."

Klaus's hands steadied her at her waist and he smiled an amusing smile. "This is certainly different. I hope nothing drove you to drink so much punch."

"Well… no… I don't think so. Just tastes good." Bella slurred a little then tipped up and planted a kiss on Klaus.

Klaus kissed her back, keeping it simple. He smiled at her. "I think it's time for you to come home my love."

Matt frowned a little. He didn't know that Bella was seeing someone, let alone Klaus Mikaelson. "Um, I'll go get her some water."

"Thank you." Klaus said to Matt with a nod. "Bella-"

"I want you." Bella said, her icy eyes staring up at him. She felt free right now. "I want you tonight. I'm not going home… I'm going to your home."

"That's flattering love, but I am sure your father would disapprove."

"Fuck my dad." Bella hiccup.

Klaus raised a brow at this, still smirking. "Colorful language."

Matt returned with a bottle of water. "Here, it's unopened."

"Thank you." Bella took the water and tried to open the cap with some struggle. Klaus took it from her gently and opened it before handing it back to her. She took it and drank it deeply. It was refreshing. "Mmm."

"Good?" Klaus asked and she nodded. He smiled and looked at Matt. "I'm taking her home Mr. Donovan. Let Ms. Forbes and Ms. Gilbert know that she's had too much to drink and she's going to sleep it off at the Mansion."

"Um. Well, does… does Bella want to go with you?" Matt asked and looked at Bella.

Bella smiled at Matt. She reached over and patted his cheek. "You're sweet. Klaus is my boyfriend Matty." She slurred. "I'll be okay."

Matt nodded, a little surprised that she was dating someone. She never talked about dating and from his understanding, she had a bad experience with her ex back in Forks, so he didn't know she had started dating. "Oh, well. Okay. Have a great night then. Aspirin. Helps with a hangover."

Klaus nodded. "Thank you Mr. Donovan." He said and he helped guide Bella away from the dance. He brought her to his Tesla and got her seated inside, before he went around to the driver side and got in. "I'll bring you to the mansion, but you should sleep off the alcohol love." He said as he drove away.

"Mmm. But I don't want to sleep. Klaus, I want to be with you. We haven't-"

"Bella, it's quite alright. I know how hard it is for you and I won't pressure you. I certainly am not going to take advantage of your inebriated state right now. Maybe in the morning, we will revisit the offer." Klaus said gently. As much as he wanted to get her home in his bed and naked, he didn't want to rush her.

Bella whined a little, but she stayed silent. The alcohol made her feel nice, so she shut her eyes for a moment and then she was asleep.
