Using the telephone, Paul called the TARDIS with the special number, requesting its presence at the castle, telling it to appear in the library, since it'll be out of the way, and it'll give him time to work up the courage to tell Prospero that it exists, also.
Once he had done that, Paul gone to find Prospero, sitting at the dining table with the copies in stacks.
Having already finished breakfast, Prospero already went to put up everything, but left Paul's plate under a silver topper to keep it warm for him.
"She'll be out to join us soon, anything yet?" Paul inquired if Prospero found anything regarding what they discussed.
Holding up the bound copy of one of the books, Prospero informed him that he only found references to the men clad in black, not much else.
Nothing about them or the ravens abducting and mutilating sick people.
In this collection of stories, someone swore the men clad in black were collectors, of sorts.
They have been in the area for generations at this point, seemingly they come for someone who has been chosen by them.
Not much else except that.
Digging around his copies, Prospero managed to find an excerpt about another local who thought the ravens that visit the hamlet were signs that the men clad in black were coming.
"First they come… then a storm that swallows the land in black… and the men come," Prospero read off the copy he wrote.
He made sure what he wrote was exactly what the original said.
"Well, don't worry about trying to deduce an account from over 200 years, Prospero, I have a helper arriving at any time, now, with your copies, and that book, we should be able to get an idea, maybe find out what happened to Warren," Paul explained to Prospero that he won't have to spend another restless night trying to find his answers.
Although, he warns that the way they're getting their answers would come from an unlikely source.
"And what unlikely source's that?" Prospero raised a brow at this as Paul had him collect everything from the table.
A smirk on his face, Paul didn't tell him anything more, instead he's leading the man to the library.
Upon entering, it all looked the same as it did yesterday, until Prospero's blue eyes fell to a…
"What?" Prospero couldn't believe the sight.
A police box!
A blue police box!
How…?
"I told you, Prospero. I'm the Doctor," Paul gave him a toothy grin.
His blue eyes focused on the police box, Prospero utters, "That you are!"
Walking behind him as he held the books, Prospero sees Paul walk up to the disjointed police box, talking to it as if it was a person, almost jumping backwards when he saw the one door open on its own, and Paul disappearing inside it.
The door closed after he gone in, leaving Prospero to stand as he took it all in, wondering if this was a prank.
Almost running towards it with bewilderment in his blue eyes, Prospero rushed to look upon the blue police box, but he had to put his copies down on the coffee table so he can run without worry to the TARDIS.
Reaching it, he looked upon it with awe, questioning how it ended up in his castle without him knowing.
He thought it was a prop, a trick, so he reached out to touch it, and upon doing so he felt the coldness of the steel body.
Unable to believe it, Prospero went far as giving it a good thwack, but it was like hitting the hull of a navy ship, a cold one at that.
He even went far as trying to move it with his two hands, but that ended in failure, it was like trying to move said navy ship.
"How on earth did this get here?" Prospero said aloud as he furrowed his brow.
He jumped when he heard the door opening again, Paul stepping out of the police box, a messenger bag wrapped around him.
"What… how…?" Prospero sputtered as he points at the police box.
Stepping forward, Paul turns his head lightly to look at the TARDIS as he tells Prospero, "Time and Relative Dimension in Space. The TARDIS."
Recoiling at this, Prospero expressed, "I've been meaning to get my feet wet in science fiction writing, but this is beyond getting them wet!"
Slowly nodding, his chestnut hair stiffly moving, Paul explains that this machine will help them with their answers.
"This thing?" Prospero glimpsed at the police box. "It's just… just a… a… police box!"
He was quick to ask how Paul managed to sneak this into the castle without him knowing, noticing the grin on Paul's face, Prospero was then asked if he wanted to go inside to see himself.
Crossing his arms, Prospero remained cautiously septic, that he accepted the offer, but just before he went towards the TARDIS, he retrieved a heavy book.
"What's that for?" Paul questioned why Prospero would grab the book and he's admonished for not reading horror novels.
And because Prospero's been on the receiving end of pranks before, that he's grown cautious when a peculiar man asks him to step inside a police box that somehow appeared in his library.
"Fair point," Paul nods as he watched Prospero going to the TARDIS, holding his book tightly.
He stumbled backwards when the door opened on its own.
Cautiously turning back to Paul, Prospero then turned back to the opened doorway into the police box.
Pushing himself to walk, Prospero steps inside the police box, expecting it to be a typical police box.
It's not.
In fact.
Words paled in comparison.
He ran back outside while the door was opened, going around the back of the TARDIS, looking at it closely.
Coerced by Paul, Prospero reentered the TARDIS, boldly taking more steps, and saw he was somehow in a different room.
In the centre, he sees some sort of console with monitors above it.
"How…?" Prospero's left without words until Paul tells him, trailing from behind.
A grin, Paul summed, "I'm the Doctor, remember?"
In disbelief, Prospero mustered, "This must be some sort of dream…!"
Shaking his head, Paul asserts that this wasn't a dream, Prospero's in real life talking to a madman in a police box.
"Well, how…?" Prospero gestures as he looked around the console room.
Without missing a beat, Paul explained that he simply phoned the TARDIS, and it came to him at the designated spot he picked for it to appear.
"Why didn't you just use it before?" Prospero questioned Paul's logic.
Rubbing his angel eyes, Paul gave a logical response.
It would be quite rude if he and Taylor showed up in Prospero's castle without having gone through him first, not to mention they didn't want to cause a scene with Prospero freaking out about a disjointed police box showing up out of nowhere.
"As opposed to now?" Prospero gestures as he stood there.
A weak shrug, Paul summed that he thought if they went through the proper channels and got to know Prospero, it would make things easier to explain.
Couldn't argue with that logic if Prospero wanted to try.
With him understanding what the TARDIS is, Paul helped Prospero collect the books left outside.
Standing there with a look, Taylor crossed her arms as she asks, "Having fun, dear?"
A weak smile, Paul affirmed that he only wanted Prospero to understand that this wasn't a trick.
Resting the book, he was going to use as a weapon, a copy of "War & Peace" on the book stand, Prospero clutched his hands together as he asks Taylor, "Does he make it a habit of doing this?"
Without fail, Taylor expressed, "He tries his best not to scare people, Mr. Prospero."
Stunning him that this happened before, Prospero rubbed his eyes as he wondered if this was one of those lucid dreams, he's heard so much about, but Paul poked him, affirming that he wasn't dreaming, though he questioned if it made better sense if he was dreaming.
Forced, Prospero helped claim the remaining copies, following Paul back into the TARDIS with Taylor trailing behind them.
As Taylor stepped through the doorway, there's movement behind the stained-glass window that overlooked the library.
Adjusting itself, there's an outline of a large raven.
