Trapped by the surrounding Daleks, Taylor helped Bumble up to her feet as the intrepid companion agitatedly stared at the Daleks.

"Are you alright?" Taylor asks as she watched Bumble briefly jitter as she shook off the blast before answering that she had worse days.

Unable to move so much an inch without the Daleks training their weapons on them, the women weighed their options.

Eying the Daleks, Bumble decided to ask them what she and Taylor were supposed to do, and the Dalek in front of her stiltedly told her that they're to remain where they are until Dalek Thorn returned.

"And if it doesn't?" Bumble questioned it.

She heard a droning shrill, "Then. We. Exter-min-ate!"

Before this happened, Dalek Thorn made sure to set a timer on its Daleks, that in the event it doesn't return to turn it off, they are to open fire under the belief Paul and Cappy escaped Dalek Thorn's clutches and destroyed it.

"Bugger!" Taylor tensed up at the thought.

Closely looking at them, Bumble warned there was more to it than that, if they somehow escaped the Daleks clutches before that point, they are set to explode to ensure none of them get out of the cavern alive.

"I'm supposed to ask if you have any ideas what to do about our little problem: do you?" Bumble turned her head to face Taylor as she watched the Daleks remain firm in their spots, refusing to move an inch, their eye stocks following their every move.

Chewing on her inner lip, Taylor admitted that most of the ideas she had would normally work, but with the threat of being blasted to death or crushed under the clay earth above if not killed outright in an explosion, well it didn't leave a lot of room for mistakes.

Her scanners turned on and she could tell the Dalek didn't lie, they were outfitted with bombs that'd go off the moment the trigger was pulled.

While it didn't surprise Bumble how Dalek Thorn was prepared, something about the bombs seemed off.

Scanners don't know what, it'd be easier to rip the chassis open on one of them and see what's what, but with the fear of explosions, well, that plan won't work.

Can't get near them anyhow without setting off the bombs or getting caught in the ensuring blasts.

Hm.

Calculating the odds, Bumble sees that if she and Taylor can turn the Daleks on each other, the blasts from their weapons should be enough to disrupt the bombs long enough for Bumble to disable without Dalek Thorn knowing.

How to do that without things going awry, well, there's a reason Cappy upgraded Bumble with everything he knew about Daleks and their wry ways.

"When I tell you, drop to the ground," Bumble whispers to Taylor.

Her vibrant red hair bobbing, strands of blond shimmering in the sickly blue light from the eye stocks, Taylor exhaled sharply as she waited for Bumble's command.

Her dark eyes moving between the Daleks rapidly, Bumble grinned as she proceeded to shout as Taylor dropped to the ground with her hands over her head as Bumble set off the chain reaction.

Rapid fire from frenzied Daleks shot throughout the area, until it finally stopped with the final Dalek hit by the others' blasts.

Within seconds, Bumble opened fired on them, her bullets shot through the molten chassis with quick precision, that the Daleks ceased function without setting off their bombs, or alerting Dalek Thorn.

Gun smoke billowing out of her black hands, Bumble smiled with triumph, before shaking one of her hands to disperse the smoke quicker, her fingertips closing over the exposed barrels.

With her free hand, she helped Taylor up from the ground, as her other hand returned normal after the smoke cleared from the barrels.

Seeing the smoldering Daleks before them, Taylor asks how Bumble managed to do this without setting off the bombs, and Bumble explained that Cappy outfitted her with upgrades.

He was dangerously over-prepared for any chances that his mortal enemies make an appearance, to his benefit, he was correct in his assessment.

"Now, let's see what makes them tick!" Bumble went to one of the Daleks.

Using her strength, she forced open the chassis, inside she expected to see one of the bombs, but instead she found it empty.

Her dark eyes scanned the inside of the chassis, faint traces of blood from the creature that it housed, that much they picked up during the initial scanning, but it bothers Bumble that it made her look into it more.

There, she found holes in all four of the Daleks' chassis with the help of Taylor, from where they were angled, the Daleks were impaled from behind in quick succession at the same time.

It was almost like an art form the more Bumble looked at the holes that were small enough that nobody would've saw them on the first glance and weren't looking.

Damned things never knew what hit them.

"The assassin," Taylor sums the work being the assassin, given what Dalek Thorn said about them killing its disciples.

Stiffly nodding, Bumble dug through the opened chassis as she wanted to interface with it, as she does, Taylor raised a question about the chassis attempting to infect her with malware.

Ironic how Daleks hate the thought of someone stealing from them enough to embed safeties in their chassis to prevent such crimes.

"Don't you worry none, Cappy's good at what he does," Bumble assures her that Cappy took account for everything.

It was enough to annoy Lizzy to no end, but Cappy convinced her that it was for her own good, and looking at their situation, Cappy was correct in his over-preparedness.

Interfacing with the chassis, Bumble delved deeply into the coding, her programming resisted every attempt by the chassis trying to stop her or infect her with a countermeasure, and as she poked through the programming, to her surprise, Bumble saw that the chassis wasn't being controlled by Dalek Thorn.

Coming around her side, Taylor watched Bumble's eyes swiftly move back and forth as she looked through the coding before affirming her discoveries.

The remnants were being controlled, yes, but it wasn't Dalek Thorn as it claimed.

"Who was controlling them?" Taylor asks her.

Her eyes rapidly moving back and forth, Bumble answers, "Whoever it was, they were good at covering their tracks. I can't find even so much as a trace."
