"Yes father, we need your wisdom." Clark said to his father's AI.
"Who is it you've brought with you? Not my usual grandson Jordan. Who is this?" Jor-El asked.
"This is your other grandson, Jonathan Kent." Clark said.
"Really, why have you brought him here? Has he begun to exhibit kryptonian powers like his brother?" Jor-El asked him.
"Not exactly. I need to know if it's possible for yellow sun radiation to affect half kryptonian DNA in different ways." Clark said.
"It's never been studied before, since your sons are the first children to be the result of the union of a kryptonian and a species that lives on a planet with a yellow star. However, in theory, it could be possible. Why?" Jor-El asked.
"Because I think that the radiation of the yellow sun affects Jonathan in a different way than it does Jordan. While the energy of this planet's sun boosts Jordan's physical attributes and gives him powers like it does me, I think that it reacts differently with Jonathan's biology, boosting his mental abilities instead of his physical ones. We need to know if that's possible." Clark said and Jor-El nodded.
"I will scan him immediately." Jor-El said, though Clark couldn't help but notice how dismissive his father was acting, since Jor-El had made it very clear that while he had no malice towards humanity, he still had sense of superiority most kryptonians had towards species they considered to be lesser than their own, even Kara had had one when she'd first arrived on Earth, but that could be excused as her being a kid who thought that she knew better than anyone else and the time she'd spent with the Danvers family had helped her lose it relatively quickly and now she shared his belief that humans were superior to Kryptonians, at least in ways that mattered, though he knew she still got frustrated with how technologically underdeveloped Earth was compared to Krypton, but she'd come to terms with it.
"Why did hologram Grandpa seem not to like me?" Jonathan asked after the hologram of Jor-El shut off.
"Don't take it personally, he reacted the same way when he met Jordan and your mom. Based on what I've gathered from the archives here at the Fortress and from what your aunt told me from her own experiences on Krypton, our people had a bit of a superiority complex. She even had one when she first arrived." Clark said.
"Really." Jonathan asked, since he couldn't even picture his aunt acting like that.
"She lost it pretty early on after she landed here. Anyways, while most Kryptonians aren't on the level of Zod, they still regarded Earth as kind of a lesser world, just because it's not as technologically developed." Clark explained.
"And yet, didn't Krypton blow up?" Jonathan asked awkwardly, trying not to be rude about that.
"I never said my species was perfect. In fact, your aunt Kara will tell you all the ways Earth is better than Krypton, the only thing she really misses besides family is the level of technology Krypton had." Clark said, right as Jor-El's hologram came back up.
"Scan complete and it confirms your suspicions Kal-El. It would appear that your sons each contain half of your kryptonian heritage. As you know, radiation from a yellow sun boosts all aspects full kryptonian dna to superhuman levels, both physically and mentally, but it would appear that the human half of your sons' dna has caused one of them to have their physical attributes boosted, Jordan, which gave him powers like you, while your other son Jonathan has his mental abilities boosted, giving him an enhanced intellect." Jor-El said and Jonathan smiled, since that meant that in a way, he did have powers.
"Is there any chance of Jonathan developing any physical powers in the future?" Clark asked.
"Unknown at this time, though now that we know that his kryptonian DNA is active, there is always a chance for it." Jor-El said.
"How smart will I get?" Jonathan asked, since he was very curious about that and honestly, so was Clark.
"You have the potential to become one of the smartest individuals on this planet, but at this time, there is no way of knowing exactly how smart you will get." Jor-El said.
"Sweet." Jonathan said.
"Is that all?" Jor-El asked.
"Yes father, thank you." Clark said as the AI shut off.
"So, can we go home now?" Jonathan asked.
"Not yet. Why don't you take a look around this area while I handle one last thing before we go." Clark said and Jonathan nodded as he walked off to the side.
"Kelex." Clark said, calling the robot back.
"What can I do for you Master Kal?" Kelex asked.
"I want you to access every satellite feed on the planet and search every inch of it until you find Jeremiah Danvers. I have a promise to keep." Clark said.
"As you wish." Kelex said.
