A/n: Firstly, I'd like to apologize for my lack of updates on this story. I will be working on a second chapter that I will probably post in the next few days. Thank you all to who are reading and favoriting! If you guys have any suggestions or thoughts let me know!

Diana made it to the library half an hour before the scheduled meet up time with James. She began looking for as many books on Amortentia as she could, so she and James could begin their essay. It took her a few minutes to find informative enough material, it was all muddled by opinions, so she grabbed quite a few. The girl received some pointed stares from some of the other students, which made her flush brightly.

Diana was a little nervous for meeting with James, unsure if he would still act like the bubbly and energetic boy he did when they were in class, or if he and his friends were going to pull a prank on her while she waited for him. She'd told Amy were she was going, who waved her away without a murmur of disagreement, although not without a wiggle of her brows and a smirk.

Finding a nice and secluded area near a window that looked out towards the black lake, Diana began setting out all the books she collected and started taking notes of certain facts that seemed useful. Diana continued this for another ten minutes before she heard a slow and sure pair of footsteps come near her den of books and notes.

Finishing the last part of the sentence quickly, Diana tore her gaze to the bespectacled pair looking at her. "Hi James," Diana gave him a thin smile.

"Hello Harron. You should have waited to start until I got here." James chided the girl with a grin and plopped into the cushioned chair across from her.

"It's fine. I don't mind." Diana was a little confused as to why he seemed unhappy with her for beginning without him. It might just be because he didn't want her to leave out any details for when he made himself some for Lily Evens.

"Alright, pass me one of the ones you haven't gone through and we can divide and conquer," James dramatically placed down a quill and ink and paper.

For the most part the next two hours were pretty quiet. James seemed to actually take his time with going through the material, and wrote down information that was useful. Of course every half hour or so he'd get up to pace around or produce snacks for the two at random.

"Alright! I think we have got enough! We can just wait to start structuring the essay and put it together later," Diana sighed happily, slouching down into her chair.

James looked up excitedly at that and pulled out a pear, silently handing the girl one, who took it without a second thought. If he was going to jinx her today, he would have done it in the first two snacks he gave her.

"Well Harron, what are we going to do now?"

"Mmm, we will have to go looking for supplies for the potion, but some of them we will have to get-"

"No no! I mean let's go do something fun! We have been holed up in the library for hours." James cut the girl off, looking expectant.

The blonde girl blinked owlishly at the boy, who burst into laughter at her confused face. Why did he want her to go with him? She tilted her head in thought, they weren't friends, so why?

"Uh why?" Diana let the question slip, and felt her face pull back in horror.

"I just said why, were you not listening?" The boy didn't say unkindly, the small tilt of the side of his mouth giving away his amusement.

"Oh, uh, okay."

The bespectacled boy rolled his eyes and ran a hand through his unruly hair, before jumping up from his seat and began collecting all the books Diana had gotten, to give back to the librarian. The blonde girl packed up all their notes and the stray food and candy wrappers, throwing them in a nearby bin.

"Alright, come on Harron!" The boy tugged the girl along. The blonde girl immediately took notice of the thick callouses on the boys palms and fingertips. His hand was firm and warm.

"James? Where are we going?"

"I don't know, anywhere. There's always somewhere we can go in this castle, someplace that might not have been discovered. Yet," the brown haired boy turned back to Diana, giving her a smirk and a raise of his brows.

Shaking her head in amusement, Diana let loose a small laugh at the boy. He seemed so bright eyed and like he didn't have a care in the world, but his hand and stride was steady and strong, helping the girl relax.

"I suppose that's true, there are many secrets of this castle that only the founders knew of," Diana was the one to tug James foreword this time.

"Oh, you should see some of the places the guys and I have found!" James took the lead when the place started to look to familiar.

It became sort of a game, both teens tugging each other in different directions when they started to come across places they've been before. The went up and down corridors and stairs, never slowing in their stride, even when Diana's legs started to burn at the extra use. She really didn't do much physical activity out of what was necessary.

"Oh! And this one time Sirius and I stumbled into this one hidden room around that corner, that sat right above old man Benny's work room. That's how we were able to pull off that prank with the rabbits!" The boy excitedly told different stories when they would pass by rooms him and his other friends had found.

"Amy and I had wondered how you guys were able to pull that off! It had us dying laughing for the whole class!" The blonde girl grinned, wiping at the corner of her eyes.

"Yeah, the mates and I agreed it was one of the most worth-it detentions we had ever earned. That man was a blasted arse on good days," the boy rolled his eyes dramatically, which earned him a giggle from the girl who was walking beside him.

James turned and stared at the blonde girl for the millionth time in the last half hour. No matter what he said or some of the things he talked about, she would always give him her whole attention, giving giggles or sarcastic comments in return. Sometimes she'd even tell stories of her own, most of which featured another girl named Amy, who seemed to be the one who pulled out the adventuress side of the blonde girl. It was nice to have someone pay so much attention to him.

"Alright. I think the exploring will have to end here, I've got some more homework to do and I'm getting tired," the girl reluctantly pulled the boy to a stop. Blushing at realizing she was still holding his hand, she let go quickly, stuffing her hand into her skirt pocket.

"Alright Harron. You know how to get back right?" The boy looked ready to pout, but smiled teasingly.

"Yes, I do. I'll see you tomorrow James. Goodnight," the girl waved awkwardly, but smiled.

"Night Harron!" The boy called at the last minute.
