A/n: I am so sorry for not updating sooner! Life had really just kicked me in the face these last few months. Thank you so much for the continuous support and I hope to get more chapters out soon! If you have any suggestions or notice any errors, please let me know!

The rest of the week was pretty plain, Diana stayed busy with classwork and had no time to see James outside of their potions class, which he had quidditch to worry about as well. Nico had given the blonde girl a questioning and slightly worried look when he saw them as they had left potions chatting animatedly about quidditch, to which she just ignored.

The weekend started out with Amy interrogating Diana about her growing friendship with the bespectacled Gryffindor.

"Are you sure that he is being nice to you? I still remember the prank he and his friends pulled last year that ended up with you getting pink hair," Amy worried her lip in between her teeth. Amy had been born in America but moved to England before beginning school. She was a pretty girl with chin length black hair that curled at the ends, and deep brown eyes. She was slightly tall, especially compared to the blonde girl, standing at 5'9" with pretty tanned skin.

"Yes Amy, he practically feeds me more than you do with how many snacks the boy pulls out in class," the blonde girl grinned at the glare her friend threw her." And, he doesn't even remember me from then."

"I don't know, I just don't want you to lower your guard and him pull an awful prank on you!" The girl exclaimed dramatically, pulling the blonde under her chin and petting her hair.

"Amy, quit it!" Diana swipped at the taller girl, who just laughed.

Diana didn't know what James actually thought of her. Were they actually friends? She didn't think so, not yet. They both talked in class and he would greet her in the halls, but she didn't think that meant much. He only seemed to really be friends with Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Petigrew. Plus, she wasn't sure she really wanted to be friends with him. While he was nice to her and shared his snacks, he still borderline bullied other kids.

The weekend was rainy so the blonde girl stayed inside most of the day, attempting to do some of her homework she'd been putting off. The rest of her roommates had opted to do the same but in the study halls, leaving the blonde to much needed quiet. When lunch had rolled around, the girl took a needed break.

"Wow, I guess that's what I get for putting it off for so long," Diana sighed rolling her shoulders.

Making her way to the dining hall, Diana looked around to see if she could find Amy or Nico. During her search, she ended up running into someone else. The force and shock almost knocked her off her feet, but there were hands to steady her.

"Wow, you must have been blinded by my good looks to run straight into me," the voice was deep and smooth. The boy was close in height to Diana herself with blonde hair parted down the middle, his hair long enough that it framed his face. His blue eyes stood out against his sandy colored skin. His robes gave away that he was in Gryffindor.

Jumping away, the blonde girl bowed, apologizing: "I am so sorry! I was just looking for my friends." The boy just shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets.

"Don't worry about it. I don't mind it when pretty-"

"Harron! I haven't seen you all weekend!" The blonde girl felt an arm wrap around her shoulder and was pulled against a lightly muscled chest. Her nose was instantly invaded by a strong scent of cinnamon that covered up a subtler scent of soap and citrus.

"James?" Diana tried to turn to look at the boy, but his grip on her tightened before loosening again. It was a question and a request, but not forceful.

"Wow Potter, have you finally given up on Lily Evens? Never thought I'd see the day," the boy who Diana ran into, almost sneered at the bespectacled boy.

Diana couldn't see James' face, but if the tight grip on her shoulder was anything to go by, then the blonde could infer that he was mad.

"Of course not. I just wanted to say hi to Harron here."

"Well we were in the middle of speaking so-"

"Sorry. I do feel bad about running into you again, but I think we should go find our seats," Diana looked at the boy in front of her and then tugged James along with her. Once the were further away, Diana pulled away from the boy. "So are you gonna tell me what that was about?"

"What are you talking about?" James gave a fake smile. "I just haven't been able to talk to you all weekend and I'm sure Jesper," the boy hissed the name. "Will be fine since you already apologized." Diana crossed her arms searching the boys face but decided against pushing.

"Fine. But I'm going to find Amy now that you've said hi, okay?" The girl waited for the bespectacled boy to nod in affirmation before turning to leave, pausing for a moment before turning around and whispering to the boy, "oh, and lay off the cologne, it burned my nose." That finally put his usual grin back on his face.

"Shove off Harron," the boy joked walking away.

Finding Amy and Nico sitting together, a space open on the ravenettes right side, Diana rushed to take up the spot. Feeling their eyes on her, she ignored her friends in place of pilling her plate to the brim.

"You gonna tell us what that little show was about?" Nico raised a brow. Amy nodded eagerly in agreement.

"I wish I knew. I just ran into that guy on accident and then he started being weird. Then James showed up and they started arguing. Then, well you saw the rest." Diana rushed out.

"Wow! It's like a romance novel!" Amy squealed excitedly.

"Yes but Diane doesn't like either of them," Nico pointed out.

"Oh details-details. What matters is, Diana might finally get a boyfriend!"

"She doesn't need a boyfriend, she needs to keep focusing on school. Something you should also do."

"Nico, stop acting like an overprotective older brother. Diana needs a little extra fun in her life!" Amy and Nico began arguing, to which Diana tuned out quickly. Why were her friends like this?

The blonde took the chance to glance around. The 'Jesper' guy had sat with some of his friends but kept glancing over. Diana made sure not to make eye contact with the boy. Something in her gut told her to watch out for him, especially with James' reaction.

Finding James at the opposite end of the table with his friends, Diana made eye contact and raised her brows in question. The boy just grinned and held up a chicken leg and waved a few times. Rolling her eyes, but smiling back, the girl was able to feel more at ease. Diana focused back on Nico and Amy, who were still arguing. The blonde just enjoyed the show and ate the rest of her lunch.
