He made to move but stopped once more. His eyes shifted to the next photo. What he saw was not of the past, it was of the here and now, it was them. In it she had a beaming smile and wind-swept hair while he was looking to the side at her with only the slight upturn of the corner of his mouth. It was barely there but it was none the nonetheless.
What a contrast in feelings the two photos brought out and a since of wonder. In the time of the older photo, he would have scoffed at the mere idea of the current, without a doubt believing it to be ridiculous. But in this case, he was glad to have been proven wrong. Yes, what he now longed for the most was for more like them to come. With that he moved on.
Authors note: I noticed more people read Chp.10 than Chp.9. and just wanted to mention I did post two snip-its yesterday. Also, sorry if it seems his mind is so spacey and easily distracted. I don't know about you guys but I know I have a million thoughts running in my head and notice things without realizing. And since our main man is not the most talkative one out there, I figured him of all people would have the same thing.
