"Shouta, it's been over a week and there has been no new correspondence either to or from the strange email," Hizashi was saying as he and Shouta were packing their things for the weekend. "You're right Zashi, and I've not heard anything from other staff that would damn them by being part of whatever scheme seems to be at work here."
As the pros were getting ready to leave UA Hizashi sent a text to Hitoshi letting him know they were going to be late and to please pick up Eri from her school. "Okay the text has been sent, the class work is gathered to be graded over the weekend, and by now most of our listeners are leaving with their guardians for the weekend." As Shouta looks up from the last of his paperwork he's putting in his bag he sees Zashi giving him puppy dog eyes. "Zashi, I see the wheels turning in your head, what are you wanting to ask?" "Well Sho, school is mostly empty. We should take this as an opportunity to do some recon work to see if there actually is an entrance hiding somewhere under UA. Plus with you being the best underground hero in the business I have all the faith that if something was amiss you would see it and we could call for backup. So what do you say Sho? Are you willing to go with me?" Shouta lets out a deep sigh running his hands through his hair, " yeah let's go. On the off chance something is actually going to happen I'd like to be able to try to put a stop to it before any of the students get hurt. They are just kids after all."
Some time later under the school building the two pro heroes sigh in frustration. "Well Shouta, I'm not sure if I should be happy we haven't found anything yet or deeply dis-" Sshhh" Aizawa interrupts, "what is that?" As Hizashi was starting to question what it was that his husband heard, the rumbling was getting louder and the ground was starting to shake. "Zash we have to," Aizawa was beginning to say as the ceiling gave way.
"Babe!" Mic screams as he sits up, his voice quirk taking over as he hears others shuffle and cover their ears from the loud. "Papa lay back, you've been unconscious for the last three days, you can't jump up like that." Hitoshi was saying as he gently placed a crying Eri next to her papa. As Eri crawled up onto her papa's lap, he gently wiped the little girl's tears from her face trying to reassure her that her papa was ok and that there was nothing to be worried about. "Papa," Toshi began, "there is something we need to talk about." "What is it, my little listener?" Hizashi asked while setting Eri beside him. "Well, it would probably be best not to worry Eri any more than she already is," Toshi said while grabbing his little sister up again and taking her to the door. "Don't worry about Eri right now Pops, Togata and Midoriya are outside. They said they will watch her and keep her mind off the last few days while we talk."
And talk they did. Hitoshi explained to his papa what all had happened the last few days with the man being unconscious. "Seeing as to how Nezu never seems to leave campus he was the first to notice something was amiss," Hitoshi was saying as Hizashi was nodding along with his words, hair falling around his face. "Don't tell him this but I think it's his rodent senses, Principal Nezu has always weirded me out just a little with how perceptive he is," Hitoshi mumbled afraid that even though said rat man was in his office that he still might hear what the purple haired teen was saying. "As I was saying," Toshi started up again, "Principal Nezu felt something was off and was going to go check it out since it is his job to keep the students and staff safe, or so he says, that's when he heard the rumble and the floor start to give out. He said he heard you and dad yell and knew something was wrong with you both as well. Nezu called in backup and there was a search party and that's when they found you under a small pile of rubble you were semi conscious calling for dad but", at this point Toshi had to stop to catch his ragged breath as tears started to well up in his eyes. "But what son? What happened?" Hizashi asked, afraid to hear the answer. Toshi takes a deep, shaky breath before he continues. "But they didn't find dad. Uraraka even was called back to campus to use Zero Gravity on the debris in case dad was stuck under some of it. However, between her quirk and the rest of the pros down there looking for him, there was no sign of dad anywhere. They sent out a small search party however there was no one in the general vicinity so the adults are thinking it was the League of Villians after something. They are saying dad just got in the way of whatever the LOV were after." Hitoshi finished the last of his explanation in one breath.
Hizashi takes a deep breath before physically straining to keep Voice from taking over his normal talking as he asks, "Why does it sound like you just inadvertently told me that no one has been out there looking for your dad? As well as if I've been unconscious for the last three days, who has been taking care of you and Eri, what about the cats are they ok? I need to get out of here. Call Recovery Girl, get her to discharge me. I need to be with you kids and getting a search party out for Shouta." Hizashi all but screams as he's trying to stand. Toshi, always the caring one, gently places one hand on his papa's chest, keeping the loud blonde from getting out of bed, as he uses the other hand to wipe the stray tear that is making its way down the teen's cheek. "Slow down Pops, let me answer your rapid fire questions as best as I can and then we can call Recovery Girl. First question, I'm not sure if they have a search party out there looking for him or not, I've been trying to get answers myself and no one seems to think I need the answers to my questions. Secondly, Eri and I have been spending time with Kaminari and his parents. Kami and I have been friends for a while and when he asked if we would like to stay with them while you were here we took him up on the offer. His parents said it was no problem and they love having Eri to spoil. Third off, the cats. Denki and I have been going to the house every morning and evening to feed, play with, and pick up after the cats. I also cleaned their litter every other day just like alway. Mochi and Tofu seem to be ok but I can tell that they miss us being home every day. Do you have any more questions you want to ask or are you ready for me to call Recovery Girl to see what she says?" Hitoshi asks patiently as his papa sits there stunned at the answers his son has given him. "Honestly? I have one more," Zashi says with all the fight leaving his body for a moment. "How are you holding up? I want the truth, the bags under your eyes are darker than they were the last time I saw you and it has me worried." That was the question that did Hitoshi in. As the teen was standing there the floodgates of tears began to make their way down his face. Hizashi didn't say anything, he just opened his arms and his son gently crawled in his lap. Father and son sat there crying into each other's shoulders about the nightmare that the last 72 hours has been.
