After doing the mundane house chores together, feeding and loving on Mochi and Tofu, and having a small sit down dinner Hizashi gets little Eri ready for bed and Hitoshi gets ready to go see Kaminari. "Pops, I'm going to spend some time with Denks. I might be home later or I may stay depending on if it's ok with everyone. I promise I'll be safe. I just have a lot to get off my chest and I'm sure you do as well." Hitoshi whispers as his papa leaves Eri's room after her story. "You're right listener, I do have a few things to try to work through. Have fun with Kaminari, text me when you get there and when you leave if you decide to come home. I don't want to lose you too. We don't know what's going on out there and it might not be safe. I trust you, but right now I don't trust many more," Hizashi whispered back, agreeing to let him go. "You got it papa. I'll let you know I promise." Hitoshi waved as he slipped out the door.

Fifteen minutes later Hitoshi is standing on the steps to the Kaminari house. 'Hey papa, I'm here.' Toshi text before knocking on the Kaminari family door. "Welcome Shinso, how are you doing hun," Mrs. Kaminari said, opening the door and stepping aside to let Hitoshi in. "Denki is upstairs, you know the way. We'll see you boys later. Have fun!" "Thank you ma'am, and I think I am doing ok under the circumstances," Toshi said, walking up the stairs. "Hey Denks," Toshi called lightly. "Sorry for the sudden request to come over, especially as it's starting to get late, but you are one of the few people I actually trust outside of my family," Hitoshi explains, looking a bit sheepish. "It's just that I have more than usual spinning around in my head and I know Pops has a lot on his plate with everything and I just needed support without taking away from him." Denki gestures to the queen sized bed to sit. "Hey man I get it. There is a lot goin on. How is Eri? I know she's young and doesn't understand as much. Is she doing ok though for what it's worth?" Denki asked knowing that his friend worried not just for his dad but his whole family. "I mean, she seems to be doing as well as can be expected. She's just quieter and a bit clingier to both pops and I. I can't blame her though, it's a lot for her to go through after everything else," Hitoshi sighs, taking the offer to sit on the bed.

A few minutes later Hitoshi's pocket buzzed, 'ok little listener do you plan to stay over or will you be home later?' Hizashi text back. 'I think if it's ok for all parties that I will stay?' 'That is fine with me, make sure it's ok with the Kaminaris' and let me know what they say ok?' "Hey Denks, is it cool if I stay over one more night?" Hitoshi asks. "Pops wants to know what my plan is so I thought I'd ask." Denki gets up from the bed and goes to his door and calls, "Ma is it ok if Shinso stays the night?" "That's fine dears, I'm sure Shinso needs all the support he can get. I'm proud of you for being there for your friend," his mom calls back up to the boys. "As you heard mom says it's fine. Go ahead and text your old man and let him know," Denki says, coming back and flopping down on his bed next to Toshi. 'They said it's ok if I stay so I guess I'll stay here tonight. Thanks pops love you.' Hitoshi sent the text and placed his phone on Denki's night stand.

"So that's basically it," Hitoshi explains the last few days to Denki one more time. "Dad is gone, pops is a mess, and I feel as though there is something going on that I can't quite put my finger on," Toshi says, the feeling of exasperation increasing yet again. "Hey man come here," Denki offers, with open arms. "You're going through a lot and I think you're handling it better than most would. You're not locked away in your room any more than usual, you've stepped up and have helped even more with Eri. I'm really proud of you Toshi." Denki offered as he pulled his friend into a rarely given hug opportunity. With a deep sigh Toshi hugs his friend tighter trying to contain the tears that have been threatening to pour down his face. Denki, taking notice of the slight stiffness to the other's posture and shuddering of his shoulders, starts rubbing small circles on Hitoshi's back hoping that the motion will help calm his nerves.

After a few minutes Toshi sits up a bit, still leaning on Denki for support. "Thank you for that," Hitoshi hiccups, wiping the residual tear stains off his cheeks. "It's been a shit storm of days and I'm glad you've accepted me for all the mess I come with." "Hey man, what are friends for?" Denki asks while giving Toshi his goofy finger guns. "And moment over," Toshi chuckles playfully, shoving Denki's shoulder. "But in all seriousness, thank you for the last few days. I'd most likely be an even bigger mess than I am without your goofiness. Maybe as I gather more information as to what the pros intend to do for dad we can brainstorm ideas as well, because again something isn't sitting right with me." Hitoshi mused stoic expression forming on his otherwise exhausted face. "I'll definitely be willing to help you with whatever information you find that you need to go over. However for now it's late, and for what it's worth I'm not as *mleh* as the others make me out to be, so I know you've really not been getting any sleep and it worries me." Hitoshi just looks at his blonde friend with amusement as the other begins shoving the massive amount of stuffies onto the floor to make room. "I for one know that you're not, as you say, *mleh," Hitoshi exaggerates, sticking his tongue out for emphasis. "I actually appreciate the worry and the hidden skill you possess. Just don't let that information get out. I have no intention of others knowing that I can be caring when my whole persona is apathetic and unmoving. Now, would you like me to help move the stuffie mountain?" "Nah, I'm just going to reposition it in the middle of the floor for the night, I'll deal with it later. It's late and I want you to try to get a few hours of sleep," Denki said while tossing the quilt back on the bed. "Why don't you go get cleaned up for bed and I'll go make you some tea?" Denki asked, handing Toshi a towel and a spare set of sweats. "Thanks I won't take long." "Take the time you need, your tea will stay warm. I'll clean up when you're done."

Ten minutes later Toshi comes out of the bathroom with his hair damp with the towel around his neck. The sweat pants sitting dangerously low on his pale hips. Denki looks up from the manga he is reading to point to the night stand where he sat the tea and catches a look at his peer. The heat begins to rise in the blonde teen's cheeks as he clears his suddenly dry throat to make sure he can speak. "Y-your tea is over there on the nightstand. I'm going to go get cleaned up if you want to find a movie," Denki slightly stutters, tossing the remote onto the bed.

Fifteen minutes later Denki is out of the bathroom, hair still slightly dripping. His chest is bare and the ball shorts he has on slipping just a touch as he stretches to put on his t-shirt. At the sound of the door opening Hitoshi looked up from channel surfing to see Denki's head disappear into the shirt and he felt his face heat up slightly at the sight. Taking the last drink of his tea, Toshi uses that lame excuse to fake cough and look away, placing said empty mug on the nightstand. "So I found 'Megamind' if that works for you. I haven't seen the movie this month and it's a secret pleasure how much I enjoy the bald blue alien and his fish companion," Hitoshi says, feeling his face go back to its normal pasty complexion. "I love that movie!" Denki shreaks, earning a grimace from Toshi as he lounges on the bed. "I'm going to go make popcorn if you'd share a bag with me?" Denki asks, starting for his bedroom door. "Sure I could go for some buttery popcorn. Want some help?" Toshi asks, starting to get up from where he sits. "Nah, I got it, it will only take a few minutes. You go ahead and get the movie ready, does that sound good to you?" "Works for me," Hitoshi states, amused at Denki's actions.

As promised, a few minutes later Denki returns with the buttery goodness in hand and a couple sodas to go along with it. "Hey thanks for the soda too," Toshi mused as Denki set the drinks on the stand and the bowl of popcorn between them. As the movie starts the teens are content with their popcorn and drinks. It's a comfortable time of movie quotes and overly animated gestures that Hitoshi is grateful to his friend for providing. With the apex of the movie approaching, both boys have been drawn into the story and they don't realize as they are reaching into the bowl between them at the same time. As one hand brushes against the other, both jump slightly and quickly pull their hands from the bowl. Neither looking at the other in concern of the look that they might receive, but also not catching the blush rising on both of their faces.

With the movie over, snacks and drinks finished, and the bowl and garbage put where it belongs both are ready for bed. "Thanks for the movie choice, it's been a while since I had seen it," Denki whispers as he's coming back into the room. "Like I said earlier it's one of my favorites, so I don't usually turn down a chance to watch it" Hitoshi said as he started to yawn. "Looks like someone is finally tired" Denki mused following suit after watching Toshi yawn. "You know what they say, yawns are contagious," Denki chuckled as Hitoshi looked pointedly at him for also yawning after poking fun at the purple haired teen for doing just that.

"Why don't we try to get some sleep?" Denki asked as he was turning off the light and crawling into bed, bringing his favorite stuffie with him. "I am willing to try," Hitoshi says, slightly nervous because recently the nightmares have been worse than usual. Although, as Hitoshi's head hits the pillow he is asleep. For once he is peaceful in his rest without the constant nightmares that have plagued his already fitful sleep. Denki, not far behind in his slumber whispers "I think I love you, good night Toshi." Small smiles forming as a peaceful sleep fully takes them from the waking world.
