I woke up and felt much better now that I had slept, but it took my a minute to figure out where I was. I realized I was in Dexter's bed and looked over, but he wasn't there. I saw that it was 3pm and stretched. I got up and went into the bathroom for a quick shower. I put on some of his shorts and a t-shirt since my dress was dirty was sitting on the beach. I checked my phone to see that Dexter was at the club and he would see me later. I had to pray a fight didn't break out before I got back because Cash was working tonight.

I grabbed my stuff, made sure his cat had food, and headed back to my house. I got home, changed, and walked over to the club. I knew that tonight was a slower night of the week since Thursday was like the calm before the storm. Elias hugged me as I walked backstage. Roman and Finn also hugged me.

"We haven't seen you in a few nights." Finn commented and they all nodded.

"Life, guys." I said and they chuckled.

"We all know it's Dave." Roman said and I sighed.

"Hopefully not anymore." I said as Austin came by and gave me a small wave. I talked to them about how they all were, and I was excited to hear that Roman and Galina were expecting... again. I guess they really did want a lot of kids. The show was starting in a few minutes so I was going to let them get ready when someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to come face to face with Cash. I wasn't sure if I was happy or not to see him.

"Hi." I said and he shoved his hands in his pockets as he looked uncomfortable.

"Can we talk?" he asked me and I nodded. I wasn't naive to think that we weren't going to talk about the weather or the beach. We walked over to a small alcove and he sighed.

"I shouldn't have done what I did." he said and I nodded.

"I agree. I don't really know what to say except that I need you to respect my relationship with Dexter or maybe we shouldn't be so close anymore." I said and he looked surprised at that statement.

"Jodi, I don't want that. I know you are happy and I don't know what came over me." he said and I nodded.

"As long as you understand that I don't want anything more than a bestie then this is ok." I said and he nodded. I pulled him in for a hug and he seemed relieved. We were walking back so he could get ready when Dexter came up to us and I was not sure what would happen.

"Hey man, I'm sorry I disrespected Jodi and you like that. We talked and I know you two are happy. I'm sorry it happened." he said and stuck his hand out to Dexter. I waited as Dexter finally shook his hand.

"Thank you." he said and Cash nodded before walking off. Dexter kissed my temple before giving me a small smile.

"I'm glad I didn't have to kick his ass." he said and I chuckled.

The night went good. We weren't busy but it was as good crowd. Elias wanted us to all go out to Barley's afterwards. Dexter, Cash, Elias, Charlotte, Austin, and Myself all agreed to go out. The club closes at 11pm on Thursdays so we were headed over to Barley's by midnight. They were about as dead as we were as we walked up and sat on the patio while Dexter and Elias got our drinks. I had fun hanging out with everyone until 2am when they closed down. We all walked back to the club, and everyone headed back as Dexter walked me to my house.

"You staying tonight?" I asked him and he nodded as he kissed me.

"Yeah, but I also need to ask you something." he said and I looked at him.

"I need to go to a charity event for my Dad tomorrow night. Can I convince you to come?" he asked me and I chuckled.

"You sure you wouldn't rather post a note at the club? I had good luck finding a date that way." I said and he shrugged.

"Maybe Johnny would look good in a dress." he said and I had to hold myself up on him because I was laughing so hard.

"What time?" I finally asked him.

"I will come get you tomorrow night at 6pm. It's in Jacksonville." he said and I nodded.

"Formal?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Maybe this time you can take my tux off me instead of just doing it with your eyes." he said and I blushed because I had wanted him the night he escorted me to the event at the college.

"I plan on it." I said as he pulled me up to my bedroom. He held me all night as we slept on and off.

The next day I drove to St. John's Town Center. I needed a dress for tonight. Candace had agreed to go with me. We ended up at Nordstroms, and I was glad to get to hang out with her.

"You and Dexter are serious, huh?" she asked me as we looked at dresses.

"I think so. He didn't leave me when Cash kissed me the other day." I said and she looked at me surprised.

"He what?" she asked me and I nodded.

"Yeah, he kissed me one night, and I was for sure Dexter was going to leave me. We talked about it, had great make up sex, and now I'm going to this formal event." I said and she chuckled.

"I am just glad you both are happy. You after Dave, and him after his ex-wife." she said and I tried not to act surprised... I didn't know that Dexter had been married.

I tried on so many dresses and finally found a perfect black off the shoulder evening gown with a slit up one side. Candace and I agreed it looked great, and it wasn't a fortune. We bought it, had a small lunch, and headed back to St. Augustine. I had to get ready and she was working as bartender for me tonight while his parents watched Quill.

I did my hair in a curly bun, put on light make up, and slipped on the dress. I sent Candace a selfie, and put on some low heel strappy sandals. Dexter already towered over me so at least I would be closer to his height. I had just finished when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it expecting to find Dexter, but instead it was Elias.

"What's wrong?" I asked him and he pulled me with him to the club... thankfully I wasn't in my tallest heels. I ran over there with him and found Cash brawling with Dax. I knew that something was very wrong if they were fighting.

"WHAT THE FUCK?" I screamed and everyone looked over at me.

"Jodi, nice..." Austin was saying when I cut him off.

"Shut it. I am tired of you all behaving like kids. I want this to stop now or all of you will find new jobs." I said as I felt someone next to me. I looked over to see Dexter, who looked slightly alarmed at the situation.

"I do not have time or patience to deal with fucking hormones... I would run a women's strip club if that was the case... so... you all had better figure this out." I said and Elias nodded at me.

"Seriously, Jodi, looking nice." Roman said as everyone recomposed themselves.

"Thank you, and good night." I said as I took Dexter's hand. He walked me back so I could grab my clutch and get into his car.

"You do look amazing." he said as he got in the car, and kissed me.

"Thanks, you too... gotta keep my hands to myself, huh?" I asked him as he chuckled before heading towards Jacksonville. I wasn't sure why I kept the club anymore because some days the drama isn't worth it.
