"Sho…?" Hizashi whispered, not fully believing his eyes. Shouta turns from his kettle, startled not meaning to wake anyone. "Yes Zashi it's me," Shouta said, turning and opening his arms in anticipation, but also not wanting to startle his dazed lover any more than his presence already has. Hizashi, taking his invitation seriously, threw himself into Shouta's open arms sobbing.
After standing in the kitchen clinging to one another, tears running down both of their faces, the two are startled by the shrill whistle of the kettle. Giving one another one final big squeeze the two pros separate. "Sho, what- how- where-??…." Hizashi begins questions not being able to find the words to fully ask what he wants. "Sit down love, take a breath, I'll answer any questions you have. Would you like some tea as well? I already have everything prepped. It would only take a moment for the tea to steep." Shouta was saying as he reached into the cabinets for the teas and mugs. "P-please, it may be good to have something tangible," Hizashi stuttered, still not believing his eyes.
"Papa, I *hiccup* I had a bad dream again," the two men hear Eri cry as she comes down the hall. Shouta, finishing up placing the tea balls into the hot water, turns and scoops the little girl into his arms holding her close. "Hey baby it's dad, I'm so sorry you had bad dreams," the darker man coos, kissing the top of his daughter's head. "D-daddy?" The girl stutters not really grasping the new situation she's in. Reaching up to grab his face gently she asks, "is it really you?" "Yes baby it's daddy. I'm home and I'm not going away ever again. I will do my best to keep my word to you baby." "Papa, we should call Toshi, he should be here too." Eri says, kindly thinking of her big brother. "Speaking of calling, I'm going to have to get a new phone," Shouta states, sitting down and pulling Eri into his lap. "Mine wasn't recovered when I was." "Don't worry about your phone Sho, they found it while looking for you." Hizashi stated. "It's on your bedside table. I charged it but also turned it off. I knew you couldn't be gone from us forever. You sit with Eri for a moment, I'm going to grab my phone and call Toshi. He was staying over at Kaminari's house. This whole mess has been especially rough on him and when he asked I agreed. The two seem to be getting closer and I don't want to interrupt their slumber but he needs to be home for this. He needs to know you're ok," Zashi stated, running out of breath in the process. "I'll be right back," and quieter, "please don't be gone when I get back.
After placing the call to his son, The blonde pro makes his way back into the kitchen where he sees Eri asleep on her daddy's shoulder, with Mochi and Tofu vying for a spot on their father's other knee, knowing better than to hurt the girl. "Yes my furry babies I have plenty of love for both of you still. There will be plenty of attention to go around, but I must ask that you both be patient while I go lay my princess down," Aizawa is saying to the cats, neither of whom really want to listen. "Here love, let me take her," Zashi says, scooping the sleeping girl into his arms while the cats jump into Shouta's lap. "For what it's worth, I don't think she would stay asleep if we were to lay her down now. She can stay on my lap for a few minutes while you give love to the fur monsters," Mic says with a small chuckle. As the men make small talk and drink their tea, the cats get all the attention they can stand, they are cats after all, they wait for Hitoshi to get home to fully make a family reunion.
"I know I just made it home after a mess of a time, but I also don't mean to interrupt Toshi if he's finally coming out of his shell and making friends," the ravenette states softly, not wanting to wake Eri. "Believe me when I say it's fine. Toshi was stoked to hear that you were home. So much so that in getting his things together he was loud enough to wake Kaminari who I overheard telling him he needs to go home and see you, and that he's not upset with anyone in the slightest that he had to leave and is in fact also really happy you're home." "He should be home soon actually if we want to move this party to the living room so we are more comfortable." Hizashi whispers, calming the nerves of his husband as much as he can.
Moving to the living room the two pros and a sleeping Eri await the arrival of Hitoshi. They talk about the small things and how Zashi was when he woke up. Hizashi told Shouta of how both the Midoriya family and the Kaminari family helped with Eri and Toshi while he was unconscious. Told him that while he was out Toshi and Eri never forgot about the cats and they made sure to feed and love the cats, even though they weren't staying at home those few days. They talked about the little stuff just to pass the time and to make sure both parties of the conversation were actually there and not some fever dream that when they awake they will be alone again. For that is the last thing either man wants, to wake up and the reunion to all just be a dream. Fortunately for both parties in question the other is very much there and very much not a dream. As they continue to sit with Eri, they settle into a comfortable silence snuggled up close together awaiting the return of Hitoshi.
