Ring ring* "Arrrghhh" groans Toshi, "who is calling me at this hour?" The purple haired teen grumbles as he rolls over to check his phone. Noticing the caller, he bolts upright and answers his phone, "Pops is everything ok?" The teen asks, worry lacing his hushed tone. "Everything is better than ok son, but I do need you to come home now. Please come with haste but don't endanger yourself in the process of coming home." Hizashi told his son. "You got it. I'll be on my way shortly. As long as you promise nothing is wrong." Toshi answered his papa. "You have my word. Nothing is wrong. I love you son." And with that the father son duo hung up the phone.
"Toshi, who was that? Is everything ok?" Denki asked groggy. "I'm honestly not sure Denks, that was Pops saying he needed me home, but not to worry.." Hitoshi answered the blonde quizzically. "I'm going to get my stuff and head home. For as much as Pops said not to worry I'm a bit worried," the teen stated as he was grabbing his bag. "Would it make you feel better if I came with you? Moral support and all," Denki asked, slipping jeans and a t-shirt on. "If you wouldn't mind, yes I'd like it if you came with me. I've had enough surprises these last few days that moral support sounds good."
With his things gathered and a note left for Denki's parents, the boys leave to go back to the Erasermic house. A few minutes of semi comfortable silence and Denki speaks up, "so… I don't want to pry, but what do you think is going on back home? I know not many of the class knows about the full situation of your home life, and I'm truly glad that you trust me enough to have told me everything. Which leads me to know that for as quiet as you are Tosh, there is so much running around in your head. I'm not going anywhere if you decide to talk." The blonde finishes extending a hand to his companion. Hitoshi, staring at the proffered hand in silence for a moment, reaches out to grasp the other's hand with a slight blush dusting his cheeks. "Thanks Denks. You're right, there is a lot spinning around up there, but unfortunately recently so much has been negative that I'm not sure if I want the thoughts to slow down enough to focus on one. My nerves are already shot to the point of being almost numb. All I know is that I don't know if I'll be able to handle any more bad news without a total mental reset." Hitoshi sighed. Squeezing his hand, "just know, no matter the news I'm going to be there for you. You've had so much fall on your shoulders recently, and I'm so proud of how you've not only handled yourself but also little Eri and your Pops. May I hug you?" Denki asked, gently letting go of Hitoshi's hand and opening his arms in offering. Nervously, Hitoshi accepts the offer, tightly squeezing the blonde teen in a hug. It was one of those hugs the purple haired teen needed. One that was meant to hold the pieces together just a little bit longer.
Denki, not letting go until Hitoshi does, offers his hand again and the two continue on their way. Small talk and laughs are what follows after the moment, with both teens feeling a little closer; blushes dusting each of their cheeks. Walking hand in hand the two make it to their destination. Hitoshi, standing on his front porch, takes a deep breath before pushing the front door open. "Pops, I'm home, and Denki came with me. He didn't want to send me home alone, worried I was about to receive bad news and all," Toshi said walking into the living room still holding hands with Denki. "So what did you want to-," Hitoshi started to ask, stopping short. Denki, lost in his own world, gently bumps into the purple haired teen, "Toshi is everything o-" the blonde teen begins to ask, looking up and seeing what, or whom, the other seen to make him go silent. "D-dad?" Was all Hitoshi managed to say before lunging himself at the raven.
