"I never cared about you? I literally cast a curse to make you happy and make your sisters miserable. Yes, right now I'm focusing a lot on Regina but this is because I made her miserable for so many years when she didn't deserve it. " Cora explained. She was getting very frustrated with Zelena and just hoped they could fix things with Regina before it was too late.
"You may have cast the curse but who had to make the big sacrifice? Me! I had to kill the man I loved most because you didn't have a heart." Zelena pointed out angrily and sighed. "I will go take a walk" She said as she stood up. She just wanted to leave the Underworld as soon as possible.
Cora sighed deeply. She really had been a terrible mom to all her daughters. She knew she could never make it up to them. However, Walsh had been an awful man and deserved to die. He just wasn't right for Zelena. "I did you a favour. Walsh wasn't good for you. He was bringing you down." She told her daughter and sighed. David also wasn't the choice she would have wanted for Snow but she knew he was a good man and treated her daughter right just like Robin did with Regina even if he was only a thief.
Zelena couldn't believe the nerve of her mother sometimes. She had lost everything and still her mother and everyone else made her out as the bad guy. No one really took the time to try and understand her. She was so done with everyone. "You never cared about me. I was never good enough for you. That's why you had Snow in the first place. I was just the bastard while she was the golden child and then Regina came along and you treated her like she was more important than me or Snow. I wanted to get rid of her so I took her to the lake that day, knowing how dangerous it could be to go on the ice. I wanted her to fall, to drown so she would be out of the way and you would finally see me. But instead you ripped your heart out to never feel again and just then you saw me. But not as a daughter. You just saw as a pawn in your great scheme of revenge. You taught me love was weakness. You taught me that some people are more important than others. You poisoned me against Snow and made me hate both of them. You made me a monster, Mother. This is all on you!" She shouted angrily and then stormed out of the apartment. She hated this place and she just wanted to go home.
She wanted Henry back but she knew the only way to do this was if she got Neal out of the Underworld. This was never a mission to find Regina's parents and she felt like the others had totally forgotten about it. She needed to find Neal and undo at least some of her wrong doings, for Henry's sake and not for everyone else.
The red haired woman walked through the Underworld, which looked like a distopian version of Storybrooke and soon found herself at the graveyard again. She walked around and sighed as she found Leopold's grave. She knew he wasn't her biological father but he was the first person who cared about her and she loved him like he was her father. The same she loved Henry Sr. She considered using the potion Regina had to find Henry Sr but she needed it for Neal. She had to do right by her son before he would slip away from her forever. Zelena couldn't let that happen.
So she went over to Neal's grave and poured the rest of the potion on it in hopes he would appear like Henry Sr had done when Regina did this. Zelena took a few steps back and indeed Neal appeared in front of her.
"Zelena? What are you doing here?" He spat angrily which was to be expected after everything Zelena had done. What could she possibly want from him after she killed him.
"I know you are probably angry and I don't blame you. I'm here to take you back home. We are all here to rescue you. Killing you was wrong and I should have known it would hurt Henry so I want to undo some of the damage I did in the past. You are Henry's dad and I want to do right for my son. " she explained to him and hoped he would come with her so they could leave the Underworld. They just needed to find a way back.
Neal sighed. He despised Zelena but she was still Henry's mother and therefore deserved a second chance. "Where is Henry? And Emma?" He asked, not really looking at her.
Zelena understood that he wouldn't forgive her so easily. "They are here in the Underworld too. They are at the diner right now. We still don't know how to leave this place but I'm determined to find a way." She explained to him and hoped he would come with her so they could find a way together.
Neal still didn't trust her but he really wanted to go home and have a second chance with Emma and Henry. "Fine, let's go. I may have an idea how to get back but it's very risky." He said and began to walk with her to the diner as he explained to her what he had heard from others that had tried to escape the Underworld before him. It was very risky but he was willing to take the risk for his family.
Cora was stunned at Zelena's words and considered going after her but she knew Zelena needed to cool off first. She had done so many bad things but she never really considered how those things effected Zelena. She had been awful to Regina and Snow but she had no idea how Zelena had felt. It was shocking to her that her eldest would go as far as killing Regina just to get her attention. She really wasn't a good mother.
