Thanks for reviewing!

I looked at Dexter and zoned back in to him talking to me. He had just asked me to marry him.

"Princess?" he asked me again. I was in shock. He was looking at me with a worried expression.

"Yes." I finally said and I saw his eyes get teary as he slipped the ring onto my finger. He stood up and crushed his lips against mine. I moaned as he held me as close as he could get me.

"You have no idea how happy you have made me." he whispered as he kissed me again. He grabbed my arm and I yelped in pain. He instantly pulled away. He had a sad expression on his face. I kissed him softly and pulled away.

"Fuck, I hate him." he mumbled as he kissed me again.

"Me too." I said and he chuckled.

He grabbed some champagne to toast our engagement. I knew that this is something that I would of had to think about with anyone else, but with him... I knew it was the right thing. I loved him, and I knew it. We were sitting on the back porch and he had me tucked into his side.

"Who do we tell first?" he asked me as I looked at the ring. I shrugged.

"I guess your parents?" I asked him and he chuckled.

"I am just glad that my mom will talk to me now." he said and I smirked.

"I take it she didn't like your former girlfriend?" I asked him and he pursed his lips.

"Shut up." he said and kissed me again and I chuckled.

Dexter POV

I was having fun sitting with Jodi as we enjoyed the night with champagne. I still couldn't believe that she was my fiance. I finally picked her up and carried her inside. She didn't say anything as I carried her up to my bedroom. I sat her on the bed and leaned down to kiss her.

"I don't want to sleep with you tonight, but I do need to hold you." I said and she nodded. I grabbed her a t shirt to sleep in, and helped her change. We laid down and I fell asleep happy for the first time in a long time because Jodi was in my arms.

I woke up the next morning and Jodi wasn't in the bed. I had to wonder if I had just had an amazing dream... until I smelled coffee. I got up and went downstairs to find Jodi standing in my shirt, humming to some music, and drinking coffee as she looked out the window in my kitchen. I was so glad this wasn't a dream. I walked up behind her and slipped my hands around her waist. She giggled as I kissed her temple.

"Good morning, my fiance." I mumbled and she turned her face to kiss me.

"Morning." she said and I left her to go get a cup of coffee. She walked outside and I joined her... it was a cloudy day, but nothing was going to ruin my mood.

"I like this." I said and she chuckled as I pulled her into my lap.

"I do too." she said and I kissed her again. I couldn't keep my hands off her.

"I am going to see if my dad wants to have dinner tonight." I said and she nodded.

"I need to get back to the club eventually, and I need to tell a few people." she said and I nodded.

"Why don't we have an engagement party?" I asked her and I saw her eyes light up.

"I like that and we can tell everyone together." she said and I nodded. We talked about when it would be and she was going to hang up invitations at the club today.

I took her back to the club, and told her I would let her know what time I would be there to pick her up.

Jodi POV

I showered, changed, and went to the club. I put on food and checked invoices. I wasn't going to hang around all day especially since I was going to have dinner with Dexter's dad tonight. I was almost done and was getting ready to leave when Cash found me.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked him.

"Nothing, I wanted to see if you wanted to have a beach day soon?" he asked me and I nodded as i moved some hair out of my eyes. I saw his eyes get big, and I had to determine if I was going to acknowledge it or move past it.

"Yeah, we can do that." I said and he nodded.

"Ya know... all I ever wanted was one chance." he said and walked out. I sighed and walked out after him. I figured Dave would be the issue... not Cash.

"Cash." I called out, but he didn't wait. I gave up after a second, finished me up my stuff, hung up the invitation for a party in my back yard in a few nights, and went back to my house. Dexter had texted me that he would be at my house in a few hours. I had asked him where we were going, and his father had picked a restaurant at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. I found a Lace Asymmetrical Cocktail Dress that was a blush pink color. I put it on, pulled my hair up as best I could, and put on some strappy heels.

Dexter POV

I walked up to Jodi's door and knocked. She opened it a second later. She looked amazing, even with her sling. I was in a simple black suit with a white shirt and black tie. She looked down and slowly took off her sling.

"Jodi... don't..." I was saying when she stopped me.

"Just make sure I don't fall." she said and I kissed her softly as she grabbed her clutch. I took her hand and felt the ring on her finger, and I had to smile. I helped her into the car, and drove us up A1A to the Inn. The valet took my car and we walked to the Seahorse Grill. Dad had gotten us the Chef's Table so we would have an experience tonight. I hadn't told him it was Jodi coming with me.

"Father." I said and he turned to say something, but immediately hugged Jodi when he saw her.

"Jodi, I am glad you are here." he said and she smiled at him.

We sat down and were talking as the chef brought us different items. Father was happy that we were together tonight, and was happy to see Jodi.

"Father, we actually wanted to have dinner tonight to tell you something." he said and he looked at us.

"I asked Jodi to marry me." I said and his eyes lit up as Jodi held up her hand. I had given her the family ring.

"Welcome to the family!" he said and pulled us both into a hug. He told the chef what was going on and we were instantly given champagne to toast. I'm glad that Dad was happy, and now we just had to tell Mom.

I took Jodi home, and she didn't have to do much to convince me to stay. I loved her and just wanted to be near her. I held her as we fell asleep, and I couldn't wait to do this for the rest of our lives.
