Stargate Korr 8

-Korr, if you are willing to serve, I can spare you the inconvenience that a confrontation with the system lords will have for you," Ba'al offered from a Goa'uld throne with his mark behind it. Korr watched his image on a screen as he stood on his own throne on the bridge of the Leviathan.

Ba'al was the most reasonable Goa'uld Korr knew, but he was also the most treacherous and dangerous. As soon as he got his hands on him, Korr would send him straight to the cargo hold.

-"Ba'al, how many ships can the forces of the system lords muster to engage me? Ten, twenty? Thirty at the most. I already have thirty-five ships at my complete disposal," lied Korr, who actually had over a hundred, as he had captured the fleet of Olokun and his Goa'uld overlords nearly intact, and had over a hundred ha'tak he had already upgraded. But he did not want to alarm the system lords and start a war. Send those ships against me and we'll have an all-out war," Korr threatened.

An all-out war will not benefit you. If things get to that point, we can send hundreds of ships against you," Ba'al warned.

-Send them. I believe the time Olokun has fallen has not passed you by. My strategic superiority is overwhelming. While you send out that fleet and in the time it takes you to reach my capital world, I will already be conquering at least five of your capital worlds," Korr replied. Ba'al was silent for a few seconds.

-What are you willing to give for a position in the system overlords? -Ba'al asked cheekily when he saw that his threats had no effect. Korr smiled.

Ba'al was still calling him names, which was a reminder that he considered him inferior, but that did not affect his judgment and he was still willing to negotiate.

-Ba'al, I think your fleet will look better with about five ha'tak to reinforce them. As for the system lords, I don't think they will accept anything less than an explanation of my strategic superiority, and I am willing to oblige, but only half-heartedly," Korr offered. Ba'al's eyes twinkled.

-Would you be willing to reveal that information? -Ba'al asked with greed in his voice.

-Do you think the system overlords will stop bothering me if I don't tell them how my ships outperform theirs? -Korr asked. Ba'al smiled.

-I'll talk to them on your behalf, and as soon as I'm done, I'll communicate with you," he said, and the holographic display closed.

Korr smiled because he already had something prepared for the system overlords: naquadriah, which was naquadah itself subjected to a process that made it unstable and radioactive, but increased its potential as an energy source by an abysmal level.

Unfortunately for the Goa'uld, they did not possess the knowledge to extract that potential, and at most, they would get a small enhancement at a huge cost, because Korr did not plan to share with them any method of use, not even a reference.

Korr put that matter aside and gave a brief review of his subordinates' reports. It had been a month since the fall of Olokun, and all his servants were now his. Thus, his territory extended over five percent of the galaxy and he had over two hundred million humans and over two hundred minor Goa'uld ruled planets in his service. They had already sent their first reports on city building, mine activation and everything related to civilian life.

Korr checked their reports against the data from the program that was watching them, but since they were new and Korr had already shown them that their technology was unfathomable, they were still scared and dared not take any confidence, so their output was one hundred percent.

Korr shrugged and moved on to the military reports. In the battle with Olokun, he forced his cousin Jet and his jaffa to take things seriously by not allowing any of his ships to be captured while he could avoid it, which caused the battle to escalate and over two hundred jaffa in his service to die, lost in the explosions caused on the ships they were on.

As for those whose bodies could be found or tracked in space, which numbered over five thousand, Korr had transported them to the Leviathan and even before the battle was over, they were already receiving medical treatment.

Still, the ha'tak losses from Olokun's fleet left him with just over one hundred ha'tak, which he divided into thirteen fleets of five ha'tak, commanded by Mot and other half-lords, and his personal fleet, commanded by his jaffa cousin Jet, which had thirty-five ha'tak and his flagship, which was the upgraded ha'tak Korr had given him. The goa'uld did not name their ships, and the jaffa even less, for they were only slaves and did not own ships, only commanded them. But since Jet's ship was a gift and Korr had named his ship, Jet followed suit and named his the Fist of Korr, which made him feel somewhat uncomfortable.

His number of jaffa had also increased with the integration of Olokun's forces and all his lords, totaling over five million jaffa, not counting their families. Therefore, Korr increased the number of his planets to three. It was not wise to divide his jaffa. He only gave them three planets because he was preparing to conquer a third of the galaxy and would need free space for his future army.

Korr saw that the jaffa had no problems, because a computer program was in charge of the administration of their worlds, and they only had the task of being soldiers, receiving tributes from all the planets of the empire. As for their Goa'uld generals, they oversaw the training of troops in space battles, because they had the most experience in this. Korr had not come up with anything that matched space on earth, and could only create virtual reality simulators.

-Emperor, 05 from the lunar base shipyard, everything is ready, do you want to press the start button? -05 asked in his mind.

Korr smiled and had the Leviathan approach the orbit of one of the two moons of his capital planet. He then beamed over to 05's side, who was in the center of the moon, in an observation room manned by insectoid replicators who were putting the finishing touches on the control room before disappearing from site and hiding in case the Asgard wanted to stake out their territory.

Korr looked through the control room viewscreen, which revealed a huge mechanized complex, which was an automated shipyard for the manufacture of ha'tak, al'kesh and death gliders, all with the upgrades he had already added to his captured ships using the replicators.

This ha'tak shipyard had two purposes: one was to supply his fleet and give his army a true military capability, and the other was to show the asgard where their ships came from and the technology they used for their construction, for on this moon there was only goa'uld technology at its finest.

To this moon would come the mining resources sent by their Goa'uld governors, which would be used for the production of weapons and ships. The second moon was also part of this complex, but it was used to produce naquadriah, which was the fuel used by the ha'tak, and since it was radioactive, it could not be mixed with this shipyard.

Korr linked his mind with the on-site computer and set production in motion. The bioship could do the same as this shipyard, but it was adapted to produce bioships, which were their most advanced weapon, and he couldn't waste his shipyards building ha'tak, which were inferior ships. Not because of their power, as this could be altered by replacing the power source, but because of their very composition.

Two ships with the same specifications, but one being a bioship and the other being a metal construction, would show different results, with the bioship being ten times superior in power and potency. Therefore, the ha'tak were not the best choice when it came to power and might. They were just an addition to their fleet.

-Production capacity? -Korr asked.

-One fully equipped ha'tak every three days, depending on the availability of materials," 05 replied while fixing his long golden hair.

Producing a bioship took a month, but these included all the technology they possessed so far. Producing a metal ship with all those upgrades would take at least three months. The construction of the bioships could be accelerated thanks to the bionanites and their cellular capacity, which gave them a moldability and growth that was impossible to obtain from metal.

-120 ha'tak per year. It's not much of an addition, but it's more than any Goa'uld can achieve. I doubt all the system lords can do something like this, because they employ slave labor without advanced construction technology, and it slows down production," said Korr contentedly.

He would not create more shipyards because he did not need them and preferred to save resources and extract as little as possible from his populated planets, since he had his replicators in his real production mines, hidden in planets with toxic atmospheres, well protected from the asgard sensors.

As for the other system overlords, he was not worried about them. They, at most, would put out three to six ha'tak a year. As an example was Apophis, who since learning of Ra's death and putting all his resources into it, had only drawn two ha'tak, which Korr had gifted to Earth and then cast into oblivion. It wasn't much of a demotion for him, though, because Apophis was a disgrace of goa'uld.

Apophis was one of the oldest system lords and, next to Herur-ur, one of Ra's favorites because he was always licking his feet. But, unlike Herur-ur, who gained a large fleet and territories after Ra's fall, Apophis had not taken out more than a couple of shipyards and did not steal a single miserable ha'tak. Besides, the Goa'uld lords who served him were disloyal and, as soon as they smelled his blood, they would come for him. Korr could only use him as cannon fodder to improve his relations with Earth, so he put it out of his mind and looked at his beautiful shipyard.

-Good job! -Korr congratulated.

-Thank you, Emperor," said 05, and then looked at him thoughtfully. Emperor, I have read the report of 00 and 03. If you want to protect Earth, why not give them all the technology they need? -asked 05.

-The political situation on Earth is complicated, and giving them too much power all of a sudden might make them think only of themselves and forget about the danger to others in the galaxy.

"If we were dealing with one person, it would be different, but here we are talking about billions of people, thinking of their own interests. I don't want them to sit back and scratch their balls and leave all the work to me. If they want to make a profit, they will have to work hard for it," Korr explained.

Korr also had a plan to put pressure on the United States by taking control of the entire African continent, which was a chaos of wars and social conflicts, similar to the disaster of the Goa'uld Empire, where the atrocities committed by their leaders were not far behind those committed by the Goa'uld.

Korr had already sent 04 to study the situation and plot the best course for intervention. Since the leaders involved were pure scum, and those who were not merely watching, Korr would not be tormented by his conscience if he lobotomized their brains.

As for Asia and Latin America, the situation was not so dire, and once the United States and the entire African continent began to develop at lightning speed, they would all feel the pressure. If they did not move forward, they would be forgotten. Korr didn't plan to wipe the drool off anyone's face, he would just make sure they got their chance. If their leaders blew it, it was none of his business.

-"With those ships and the improvements we made to them, the country known as the United States can subjugate the others without any difficulty. Wouldn't that hurt their plans? -05 asked, interrupting his thoughts.

-The United States cares about its reputation, not for other countries, but for its own ego. They love to say they are the good guys and a land of freedom. It is propaganda that has made them seem more than they are, and they cling to it tooth and nail. They will not start a world conquest, if they ever use the technology we have given them, it will be to make more favorable propaganda for themselves.

"Besides, I plan to give them some toys with which they can show off to the rest of the world and draw attention to themselves, as they are so fond of doing. By the way, they can stop depending on some strategic resources, which is what has forced them to accept some dirty deals all over the world, and to develop secret organizations against other countries. Actually, they are indifferent people, if you evaluate their actions objectively," Korr explained, and 05 nodded.

Korr thought he was getting a lot from Earth too, as he had already obtained Tollan phase-shift technology and android technology from the android Harlan, who created robots from SG1.

The android technology was thousands of years behind the replicators and, in comparison, not worth the trouble. But nothing could be further from the truth, because within this seemingly backward technology by high standards like replicator technology or that of the Asgard, was something that even the Asgard did not have, and that was the ability to copy a person's memory.

The Asgard could do this, but it was through a mind probe, and the process was flawed, as it had trouble copying memory into a device other than a similar body. But android technology could, as it passed SG1's complete memories into a machine body, i.e. the androids, and this was 100 percent functional without any errors, which meant that with some study, he could even copy his own memory in case someone wanted to tinker with his mind, which was one of his current weaknesses.

Two days later, Ba'al contacted him again. Korr moved from his palace to the bridge of the Leviathan to take his call, as he hoped the system overlords would want to speak with him on matters private to the Goa'uld.

Indeed, as he sat on his throne, wearing his god's garb, a large screen unfolded in front of him, dividing into twelve parts, one for each system lord. There were currently fourteen of them, but Apophis had just fallen from grace and Olokun was in his clutches, so only twelve system lords were present.

Yu was in the center of the screen, as he was the oldest and most respected of them. Yu wore ancient Asian garb and had a middle-aged host with Asian features. The attire looked old and Korr didn't like it. The style was cool, but it lacked a lot of presence.

Ba'al was next to Morrigan, a Goa'uld queen whose host was a redheaded woman who wasn't bad. She was just as treacherous as Ba'al. They were followed by Heru-Ur and Camulus, one in Egyptian and one in Greek garb. The rest were Amaterasu, Bastet, Ares, Cronus, Moloch, Kali and Nirrti.

All the system lords were on their thrones and there was no jaffa around, indicating that they were preparing to negotiate technology. That was a good sign, because it indicated that they were willing to negotiate their way into the group.

-Where is Olokun? -Yu demanded authoritatively, after looking him up and down with superiority.

-He is my guest," said Korr casually. Yu looked at him with a little less superiority and nodded.

Among the Goa'uld it was not customary to kill their rivals, for the ultimate glory was to force them to serve. It was cowardly to kill one's adversary… well, to kill them and leave them for dead. The custom was to capture the enemy and then invite them to a "VIP" room, where they would be "convinced" to serve.

-Korr, this council recognizes your victory against Olokun," said Ba'al, taking the floor after Yu, who did not seem interested in anything but verifying if the Goa'uld traditions had been fulfilled in their war against Olokun.

-Not unanimously," interjected Cronos, whose host was a middle-aged man with a square face and white hair. His appearance was unkempt and his bearing left much to be desired. This was the sworn enemy of Teal'c and the To'kra, for, according to Korr's recollection, he was the one who sealed Egeria.

-You are barely a maggot out of the bag," added Amaterasu, whose host was a woman with Asian features and an acceptable figure.

-You're too arrogant," said Nirrti, whose host was a slender-figured woman. She was a failed scientist trying to get better hosts, but in thousands of years, she had had no success.

-"Ba'al mentioned that you have new technology and a flagship that you couldn't have built yourself. Where did you get it? -Moloch growled.

-That ship belonged to my father! You stole one of his shipyards! -Heru-Ur scolded angrily. Korr could only blink at his accusation, but then thought that was logical.

Korr had disappeared for two months right around the time Ra's death became known. Then he showed up with a ship the likes of which had never been seen before and some ha'tak. The most logical explanation was that he had learned before the others of Ra's death and took some advantage to take possession of this new ship that Ra had surely built.

-It seems to me that the one who kept most of the things that belonged to Ra was you, Heru-Ur," said Korr calmly, because it was convenient for him this idea and that these guys did not ask any more questions about the origin of the Leviathan.

-That ship belongs to me, and so does the shipyard where it was created," Heru-Ur scolded, pounding the armrest of his throne with indignation at his confession.

-Come and get it then," said Korr casually.

Heru-Ur had one of the largest personal fleets at present, for he was Ra's favorite or nearest, and he took a great deal of territory, shipyards, and productive planets. But for him it was nothing, and Ba'al must have already communicated to them the number of his personal fleet, so Heru-Ur himself could only shriek with indignation.

Heru-Ur was about to speak, but Yu growled and the angry Goa'uld swallowed his anger. They had all stolen Ra's possessions. What hurt Heru-Ur was that Korr, supposedly, got emperor level loot, being barely a five year old larva. Korr was no longer a larva, but a shapeless mass millions of tons in weight, but Heru-Ur didn't know that.

-Korr, if you hand over the plans for that ship, we will consider accepting you among the system lords, even though you have gone against your master," Morrigan offered with a smile. She was just as brazen as Ba'al. Korr snorted.

-"Olokun was not my lord, my lord was Ra, and after his death, I am entitled to keep whatever I can take from him. As for Olokun, he asked me to serve him and I never accepted. I have asked him to serve me and so far he has not accepted, but he will sooner rather than later, and then all his domains will be inherited to me. If any of you disagree with our bargaining in this matter, you may speak now," Korr threatened.

-Little grub, have more respect…" Yu growled, interrupting Cronus' wrath with a blow on the armrest of his throne.

-He's right," Yu sentenced, and those who wanted to speak gritted their teeth.

-Of course, despite being young, Korr has proven himself capable, and we are all aware of his current power, but the situation in his territory is unstable, now that there is no lord in this domain," said Morrigan.

-There is already enough chaos with Ra's disappearance, we need stability," Ba'al said.

-Perhaps if we make Korr part of the system lords, his current discussion with Olokun will be expedited," said Camulus as if he was thinking about it.

-It is possible, but he must show that he cares about this stability and our superiority in the galaxy," Ares said. Heru-ur and Cronus gritted their teeth, so Korr knew they were his greatest opponents, as he watched the other lords ponder the request for a bribe.

-"Of course, I am concerned about Goa'uld superiority in this galaxy, so if you will do me the favor of resolving my current legal situation and acknowledge my right to the Olokun territories, I will share with you the secret behind the superior capabilities of my ha'tak, and which is the power source of my current flagship," Korr offered, gaining everyone's attention.

These guys, despite their appearance, were the Goa'uld who amassed the most knowledge, and they were already crunching numbers in their heads.

-Only one power source? -Cronos asked suspiciously.

Since Korr was willing to share, his hostility had diminished. Korr smiled and relayed some data to them. The data mentioned nothing, only the difference in potential and energy generated between the naquadah and its improved but also unstable version, the naquadriah.

Korr did not even mention the name or properties of this new material, he only sent the results, which indicated a hundredfold increase in power with ten times smaller quantities.

-With what I am offering you, this material and how to create it, you can do the tests yourselves if you are not convinced. What I am not going to give you is the research on how to use it, that will be up to you," said Korr with an evil grin, so everyone knew this would not be a simple change of fuel for their ships.

Cronos and Heru-ur gritted their teeth again as they saw that their gift was somewhat rotten, but most nodded because they were Goa'uld and even if they had the noose around their necks, none of them would give anything for free.

-This is acceptable," Ba'al said. Morrigan lined up behind and the others, though they were late, already knew they would get nothing more from him.

His current personal fleet was the largest among them and also the fastest. If they declared him out of the Goa'uld system, it would be ruin for several of them. On the other hand, Korr had no grudge or enmity towards any of them. The last to nod was Yu, who waited for everyone's consent.

-Korr, your name will be engraved as one of the System Lords," Yu said. Korr nodded and did not keep them waiting, passing them their payment, which was all the information on how to create naquadriah.

Upon receiving the information, Cronos and Heru-ur glared at him and withdrew. The others nodded to him before cutting off communication, until only Ba'al remained.

-How many more ha'tak is the support of Morrigan, Ares and Camulus going to cost me? -Korr asked, having already sent Ba'al's five unmodified ha'tak with 02. Ba'al smiled.

-One ha'tak for Camulus, one for Ares and three for Morrigan. Also, I have promised to arrange at least a small head start on the research of the new power source," Ba'al said. Korr grimaced, this guy was practically a mobster; with these requests, he had quadrupled his initial offer.

Korr also didn't overlook that it was impossible for him to have bargained for research on the energy source, because he didn't know it was unstable and needed research to use it.

-Ba'al, I'll give you four ha'tak for Ares and Camulus, four more for Morrigan and some naquadah for you, but don't expect a shred of information about naquadriah from me," said Korr, who was counting on the Goa'uld to spend years researching naquadriah.

-That is acceptable," said Ba'al with a smile.

-"If Ares, Camulus and Morrigan ask me about my gifts to them, I will tell them to claim them from you," Korr said, and Ba'al stopped smiling. Then he gave him a cold look and cut off the communication.

Korr had already given the ambitious guy five ha'tak and he wouldn't let him keep any more.

At the end of their conversation, Korr transported himself to his throne in the palace on the planet's surface, surrounded by about fifty of his new servants. All of them wore ancient Egyptian-style clothing, with their complementary makeup. Even the servants with Western and Asian features looked cool.

Korr already had more than five hundred personal servants, but these had three-hour work shifts. As for their work, most of them were children, and they were only there for purposes of public display and worship.

Those who actually worked were the two servants with Greek god bodies who handled the large feather fans and the four maidservants with Greek goddess bodies who carried and served cold drinks for him.

Korr wore his god costume, complete with golden scorpion bracers, greaves and helmet, his half-circular breastplate with jeweled ribbons and his Egyptian-style white skirt.

When Korr appeared on the throne, his servants were on the move. The men began to move their fans smoothly, the women served refreshment, and boys and girls in costumed outfits modeled to pose on display, some sitting on the steps, some standing looking menacingly at the petitioners, and others gossiping about everyone who approached and whispering to one another.

"Yeah, Ra had style, this is great," thought Korr.

While he was boasting about himself, his primate kicked a petitioner in the butt who did not want to kneel and he fell down biting the hard, polished floor in a pose that made the children on the steps of the throne crack up with laughter.

With the man were four others, including a woman. They were escorted by twenty jaffa. The security was necessary, for these were not peasants, but Goa'uld, though they called themselves Tok'ra.

They claimed to be different from the goa'uld because they did not use the sarcophagus, but Korr still doubted their sanity. In the original story, these guys had spent two thousand years infiltrating the Goa'uld, showing no progress in their supposed war against them. Korr suspected they spent twenty-three hours a day scratching their balls, and the remaining hour discussing their dreams for the future. That alone could explain their complete and utter inefficiency.

-"Goa'uld, you can kill us and torture us, but the Tok'ra will always be free," one of the kneeling Tok'ra, who had a very young host, but his voice was gravelly because he spoke in a Goa'uld voice, spat. They were ten meters away from him, in front of the steps of the throne, which were guarded by two jaffa.

-There is something I have never understood about the Tok'ra, why do they speak with those strange voices? -Korr asked curiously. A symbiote was perfectly capable of speaking without hoarseness or voice distortion. Is it for theatricality? -he added. The Tok'ra looked at him without understanding his question. Korr sighed as the one who had been kicked in the butt stood up and, seeing that he had made a fool of himself earlier, agreed to kneel.

-"Goa'uld, don't play games with us, we won't say a word," the burly, middle-aged man declared. By the age of his host, perhaps he was the oldest there, though one could not be sure, all Tok'ra symbiotes were about the same age.

-So they won't talk to me," Korr said and the man nodded decisively. How rude, I saved your asses from the massacre the Tau'ri did to Apophis' forces, but you won't even talk to me? -Korr asked.

The middle-aged man looked hesitant and wanted to ask something, but he stuck to his word and just nodded. Korr also nodded with a smile on his face.

-I have Egeria in my goa'uld hands," Korr said and the Tok'ra's eyes went wide.

-What!" exclaimed the middle-aged man, eliciting a chorus of laughter from the children seated on the throne steps, who were quick to speak up and comment on his lack of commitment to his own words.

-You don't seem to have much of a word," said Korr.

The Tok'ra tried to rise, but their primate ordered the jaffa to keep them kneeling.

-What did you say? Asked the middle-aged Tok'ra with a grunt. Korr waved his hand and 06 appeared before him with a fishbowl in his hands, where a symbiote swam.

-This is Egeria, the Goa'uld queen who gave birth to you all. But you are so ungrateful and ungrateful that I have saved you and brought you here to give you to your mother, and yet you refuse to speak to me," said Korr in a complaining tone.

The Jaffa again beat the Tok'ra to their knees.

-What do you want, Goa'uld? Asked the middle-aged man in a funereal tone.

Korr guessed they feared he was going to propose some dark deal.

-What I want, I have already discussed with Egeria. You just take her with you and then we'll talk," said Korr, who had already offered an alliance to Egeria, offering her hosts who didn't need a sarcophagus and would just be empty bodies. 06 walked over to the kneeling Tok'ra and handed them the fishbowl.

-Send them through the portal," Korr commanded, and Jet ordered the jaffa to drag the Tok'ra out.

-Any other requests? -Korr asked.

-My god, there are some lesser gods who wish to offer their allegiance," Jet said. Korr nodded.

-Send them in," said Korr.

Ever since he defeated Olokun and occupied their worlds, some of the lesser Goa'uld came to him from time to time seeking opportunities for growth. Korr made it a condition of their service to leave their hosts, submit to the Goa'uld insanity treatment and follow his laws, especially the one prohibiting slavery. Of course, he did not mention the insanity treatment until it was already done, since it did not matter if they agreed to serve him or not. Every Goa'uld captured by him was subjected to this treatment.

NA: Hello everyone, I want to make a few clarifications about this chapter. When I mention that the Goa'uld do not have the knowledge to create stable energy sources with naquadriah, I am not referring to their technology. Goa'uld technology is very advanced and in my opinion, can take full advantage of the naquadriah's potential, build androids, automated shipyards, artificial intelligences, nanites, genetic experiments and much more. In fact, I consider it more advanced than tollan technology.

The hindrance to Goa'uld technology is the Goa'uld themselves, who pass off their technology as magic or their own power, which causes them to create only simple things and their applications are limited. In contrast, the Tollan have adapted their technology to their civilian life and can even disable energy weapons and projectiles with it. However, they cannot revive the dead, their advances in space technology are few and a heart attack can kill them given the right conditions. This was demonstrated in the episode in which one of them was killed by sabotaging their medical assistance system.
