After taking his last breath, Izuku found himself in a large black void, unable to see anything. Resigned, he let himself float in that black space. Suddenly, a small light emerged on the horizon, catching the attention of the green-haired boy who tried to reach it. However, the light grew brighter and brighter, causing Izuku to cover his eyes with his arms and close them. After a few seconds, his vision adjusted, and he could see a cathedral in a large meadow filled with trees and flowers.

"That is..." the green-haired child thought, surprised.

FLASHBACK

A few months before the events of that fateful day, the Midoriya siblings were taken to the church for their baptism.

Upon their arrival, both Izuku and Stella were amazed by the immensity of the place and its architecture, especially the impressive sculpture of the Son of God.

In a ceremony attended by the Bakugou family and some heroines who were friends of Inko, they performed the typical rituals of a baptism, including a short speech and the purification of the child in the holy waters. The priest was a kind and accommodating man with dark skin. Carrying Stella, he immersed her slightly in the font, purifying her from original sin. Then, he did the same with Izuku but whispered something in his ear.

"Never lose faith or hope, my child," he whispered to the boy before lowering him.

With a kind smile, he bid farewell to the family.

END OF FLASHBACK

After recalling that memory, Izuku slowly made his way towards the cathedral. Upon reaching it, he opened the grand doors and entered. He saw the same sight as before, except at the end, where the pedestal with the crucified Son of God stood, there was a man with brown hair, a beard, and wearing white garments, gazing at the statue.

Izuku approached the man, and when he reached his side, the man turned and gave him a smile before starting to speak.

"What do you think about this world, Izuku?" asked the brown-haired man, looking at the statue with a serene expression.

"What do I think about this world?" the child murmured, thinking for a moment.

"Take your time," replied the blue-eyed brown-haired man.

"I-I don't understand," Izuku stuttered.

"Hmm?"

"Why was I born? Why did I have that ending? Did God abandon me? Did He abandon all of us? Aren't we supposed to be His beloved children? And if so, why does He make us suffer like this?" the child responded, tears welling up in his eyes, surprising the brown-haired man with his answer or rather, his question.

"Hmph... Tell me, Izuku, did you know what the world was like before quirks appeared?" the brown-haired man asked again, sitting on one of the church benches.

"A-according to my dad, there used to be equality between genders, b-but that changed with the appearance of quirks," Izuku answered, wiping his teary eyes with his clothes.

"Equality, huh? There was never equality, Izuku," the adult replied, surprising the child. "Before quirks appeared, males had more 'privileges.' If you ask me, I'd say that women's behavior is a result of the constant 'oppression' they faced for centuries... and when quirks appeared, well... boom!" the adult explained, making a gesture at the end.

"So, it was our fault?" the child replied, looking at his hands. "Still, I don't understand... at the moment when everything spiraled out of control, shouldn't He have done something? Why let this madness continue for so long?" the child asked the young adult with doubt in his eyes.

"You see, Izuku, my Father works in mysterious ways," adding that to the conversation surprised the child a little to hear him referred to as father until he looked back at the statue in front of him.

"W-Wait... you-you are..." the man stammered, pointing at the statue.

"Ah?"

"Jesus of Nazareth!" he exclaimed, surprised, bringing a smile to the young adult's face.

"Hahaha, didn't you realize it before, hahaha," the young adult chuckled, surprising the child. "Although Jesus is not my real name," he declared, surprising the child even more, as if he were about to faint. "My real name is Joshua... Joshua Josephson... or if you prefer, you can call me Jojo," he informed, extending his hand with a friendly smile, leaving the child perplexed but also feeling happy.

"Nice to meet you... Jojo," the child replied, shaking the young adult's hand.

"As I was saying... my Father works in peculiar ways. When I was born, I was given the task of spreading His word, and that's what I did, teaching those who were willing to listen. Unfortunately, not everyone was receptive. Many didn't want to change their way of thinking and simply cursed me..." the adult narrated, as the child paid close attention, a smile appearing on his face. "What I sought was a peaceful revolution... as Gandhi would say..."

"But it didn't work, right?"

"You're mistaken, Izuku. I achieved my goal... Even though I died over 2,200 years ago, people still remember me and my teachings... the teachings of my Father," he declared, his voice filled with joy as he looked at the church he was in. "Although, over time, they were modified and eventually became the religion you know."

The young man stood up and walked towards the church door. The child quickly stood up and followed his pace. They stepped out of the church, appreciating the splendid surroundings.

Joshua took a deep breath and exhaled, a smile on his face.

"Listen, Izuku... just as I once saved people from sin in the past, I want you to save the people of this world," he declared, smiling at the green-haired boy.

"Eh?" the green-haired boy exclaimed in astonishment.

"I have seen through you, and I know you are a good person who will make good use of my body," he commented, gradually moving away from the green-haired boy, who sat at the entrance of the church. "I hope you bring order to this world and, if possible... save them," the young man said with a smile as he began to fade into light.

"Wait, JOJO!" the child called, standing up and trying to grab the man's hand. "I-I'll do it, but don't go," he said while watching the man disappear into the light.

"I will always be with you, Izuku," he said kindly in his voice. As Izuku was about to grasp his hand, he woke up from that "dream," and the first thing he saw was the earth and the walls of the cave he had fallen into.

As he reached out his hand, the pain returned to his body, but the hole in his heart was no longer there, replaced by a large scar. Giving up, he lowered his arm and looked up at the ceiling, deep in thought.

"(His body? What did he mean by that...)" the young man thought, confused, evoking in his mind the last words he heard from that man. Turning his gaze to the right, the boy was terrified to see a corpse beside him—or rather, parts of one. Specifically, the right hand, both eyes and ears, and the spinal column. Slowly, the parts began to crawl towards Izuku, frightening the child.

The green-haired boy had no words to express his emotions, and when the parts were next to him, they merged with his body, and words came to his mind.

"Listen, Izuku..." he heard a voice in his head, quickly recognizing it. "My body has the power to grant abilities to people. Unfortunately, since it's not complete, my ability to awaken powers has been reduced... you need my entire body to unleash its full potential," the brown-haired man explained. A map with the locations of the corpse parts appeared beside Izuku. "In three days, your body will be as good as new, so rest," the brown-haired man added. With that said, the green-haired boy saw the young man slowly disappearing into light.

"Wait, Jojo!" Izuku called out, trying to grab the man's hand. "I-I'll do it, but don't go," he said as he watched the man vanish into light.

"I will always be with you, Izuku," the voice kindly said. When Izuku was about to take his hand, he woke up from that "dream," and the first thing he saw was the earth and the walls of the cave he had fallen into.

Unbeknownst to Izuku, the parts scattered across the world were found by certain people with a similar idea and objective as the green-haired boy, awakening an unprecedented power within them.

What lies ahead for the green-haired boy in the future? Even I don't know.
