This one-shot is broaching a subject that seems to be controversial in the Stephanie Plum Fandom.

Cosmo - One-shot

Steph POV:

I turned off the shower and stepped out. I grabbed a towel and dried off before wrapping it around my body. Grabbing another one off of the shelf, I began towel drying my hair. I walked into the bedroom to a delicious sight.

Ranger lounged in bed, the sheets pooled at his waist, propped up on his side, reading something. The third time I ran my eyes over him, I realized he was reading my Cosmo magazine.

"Ranger?" I questioned. He looked up and cocked an eyebrow.

"You're reading Cosmo?" I asked him, disbelieving.

"It's very educational, Babe." He smirked. "There's an article in here called Ten Positions That Guarantee Multiple Orgasms. I always make sure you have at least two, but some of these positions we haven't done yet."

I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks. "Ranger, if we could, you would have us doing all the positions in the Kama Sutra."

"Who says that's not what we're doing?" he grinned.

I shot him a glare without any heat. I walked into the closet and dropped my towels into the hamper. Seconds later I felt his arms come around me.

"Got any more Cosmo magazines stashed somewhere? I have a feeling we can learn even more." He grinned against my neck.

I laughed softly and elbowed him in the ribs. "You're a pig."

"That's not what you were telling me a few hours ago!" he growled, nipping my ear. I pressed back against him, and he nipped at the skin of my neck before kissing the sensitive skin.

"There's more in my nightstand drawer," I told him breathlessly. "You could read them to, you know, further you education and experience."

He chuckled. "You can never have too much of either," he growled. "Imagine if I had found these when I was a younger man."

"Yes, I can just imagine you pouring over dozens of issues of Cosmo, trying to learn the best ways to please a woman," I purred, turning in his arms. His hands hooked under my thighs as he moved us back towards one of the counters in the closet. He sat my ass on the cold wood and gently pushed me until I was leaning my back against the wall.

He grinned down at me. "I can't say I wouldn't have," he smirked. "It's not like I was a virgin. I haven't been in a long time."

"You don't become the wizard by not having your own experiences," I moaned as he sank into me, bringing his hips to rest against mine. I had already been ready for him.

"The wizard? That's a new one." He chuckled, leaning down to nuzzle my neck. "But tell me, Babe, would you have preferred me to be a virgin? Would you have preferred me to be celibate until marriage?"

I moaned as his five o'clock shadow rubbed against my skin, causing a shiver to shoot down my back. "I prefer men, Carlos, not boys." I gasped as he rocked against me. He grinned and guided my hand down to my clit, flicking my finger against it. He left me to it as he braced his hand against the wall. "Let's try the first one." He growled in my ear. Cosmo hadn't been lying about this position at least.

XXXXXX

Ranger laid me gently in the bed before climbing in next to me, pulling me close, and pulling the covers over us. I rested my head on his chest. "While I don't like the thought of you in bed with other women, it doesn't mean that it didn't happen." I said looking up at him. I caught the glint from my wedding ring on the hand that rested on his chest. "But I do acknowledge the fact that you're with me not them. It's not like I was celibate until I met you, or even after."

He chuckled kissing my hand. "All that matters now is that we're together and that we love each other. You're the only woman I have ever loved."

I smiled and kissed him softly. "I love you, too."

He pulled me tighter against him. "Mrs. Manoso," he said, nuzzling the top of my head.

I laughed softly as butterflies filled my stomach. "Even after being married for two years that still makes my heart flutter."

He grinned and leaned down to kiss me softly. "That's good. Maybe it'll take you longer to get rid of me."

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Like I could get rid of you! You would follow me anywhere."

"I'm not a lovesick puppy," he pouted. I almost laughed at the look on his face.

"Keep telling yourself that," I told him, smugly.

He growled and swiftly pinned me to the bed with his body. "Let's try another one of those positions from the magazine," he growled in my ear. I moaned, knowing he was going to keep me up half the night, but hell if it wouldn't be worth it.

"We're already one down. Nine more to go." He grinned at me as he positioned me. If this is how I die, it would be a wonderful death.

A/N: This story broached from a conversation I had with Heather (Txbabefan) Originally started over some reviews on my story 5150.

It seems to be the general rule in fanfiction seems to be that Ranger has been celibate since he slept with Stephanie in book eight... While that's a wonderful thought, in real life I don't see it being true, call me a pessimist if you will. Whenever an author writes something different there is some uproar about it. Even on my own story even though its an AU. Ranger was a player in his younger days, he does have a child from his younger wilder days, and just because he slept with Steph doesn't mean he didn't sleep with other women afterwards. They weren't committed to each other and still aren't in the series.

As Heather put it, and the line that also inspired this one-shot "But he can only love Stephanie! lol I doubt he became the "wizard" and that good in bed reading Cosmo for tips..."

I love Ranger just as much as the next girl but Steph was with Joe. Which means Ranger doesn't and probably isn't waiting for Steph. Now I know not everyone agrees with this, but this is personally my opinion. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
