I don't own these characters but I love pulling them off the shelf to play with them. I make no money from this, but reviews feed my muse's soul.
Cosmo P2
Steph POV:
I sat on the couch, my feet sitting on Carlos's lap. His hand brushed over my calf with soft strokes as he watched the documentary on the TV. I sat with him just enjoying his company while I flicked through one of my magazines.
I paused when I saw a bright blue text at the top of the page. 15 Questions To Ask Your Partner to Know Where Your Relationship Stands. I glanced up at Carlos at the other end of the couch. Sitting up slightly, I read over them quickly, biting my lip.
"Babe?"
"Hmmm?"
"What're you reading?" he asked.
"A survey."
"A survey?"
"15 questions to ask your partner to know where your relationship stands," I quoted. "These couples surveys are always pretty interesting."
He paused the TV to glance at me. "Yeah?"
"Yeah, it just amazes me that people use these to score how well their relationship is going."
"Some people use it to open a line of communication," Carlos pointed out.
"That's true but we've never had an issue with communication," I said. Carlos leveled a look at me after that statement. "Okay, we were both a little hardheaded but since we pulled our heads out of our asses the lines of communication have been open and stayed open."
He nodded in agreement. "Let me see," he said, and I passed him the magazine. I watched as he scanned it with a smile.
"We should do it."
"What?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I think it'll be fun." He shrugged.
I smiled, "Alright."
"First question, Are you happy with our relationship?"
"Very," I said, giving him a goofy smile. "What about you?"
"Babe," he said.
"That's not an answer."
"Babe, I've never been happier," he said, earning another smile from me.
"Ah," I said, leaning over to kiss him softly. I sat closer to him, sitting with my legs crossed under me.
"Question number 2, what makes you feel the most loved?"
I paused for a moment. "Everything you do. You always make sure I know you're thinking about me whether it be with eye contact, a grazing touch, or a simple Babe. You never ignore or not acknowledge me."
He smiled, his hand taking mine, brushing his thumb over the back of my hand. "What about you?" I asked him.
"You never fail to take my feelings into account, even if I'm not vocal about how I feel you always ask or somehow know," he said. "You always help me out of a bad mood, you never fail to put me in a good mood just by being around you. You don't force me into situations that you know I won't be comfortable in."
"That can't be true, we still go see my family now and then."
He let out a chuckle. "I'm not forced to go, Babe. Sure, your family are far from my favorite people but they're yours. I'm not the only man that has crazy inlaws."
I laughed softly, shaking my head. "You're a very tolerant man."
"Since we've been married they've laid off a bit. Your grandmother doesn't try to grab my ass anymore." He grinned. I laughed again.
"Alright, alright, question three how satisfied are you with your sex life?"
"Very, very satisfied." I blurted.
He chuckled. "Babe."
"And what about you?"
"Do you even have to ask?"
I rolled my eyes and made a motion for him to precede. "How satisfied are you with the time that you spend with your partner?"
"I could never spend enough time with you." I shrugged. "You're my best friend, confidant, and husband."
This time Carlos pulled me closer to him and kissed me. "I don't think we could spend any more time together babe." He chuckled. I rolled my eyes in response to his answer.
"Question five, With the experience you have had in your current relationship, what are the chances of breaking up with your partner? On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest chance."
"Zero."
Carlos smiled again. "Oh yeah?"
"Yeah, I'm right where I need to be."
He shot me a wolf grin, tossing the magazine next to him on the couch before grabbing my hips and pulling me into his lap, my legs astride his. I smiled down at him, his hands on my ass and my fingers tangling in his hair at the base of his neck. Our lips were an inch apart, breath mingling with every exhale.
"What about the survey?"
"We'll finish it later." He said, pulling me closer to claim my lips with his. My fingers tightened in his hair and my toes curled. One minute I was straddling him and the next I was on my back with him pinning me to the couch.
He pressed a final kiss to my lips before moving down slightly to remove my shirt, my bra following soon after. His hands warmed my skin as his mouth trailed over my stomach. I knew where this was going, and I didn't want slow, tender loving.
I sat up, shimming my sweats down. Carlos raised his eyebrow at me with a smile. "Take it off," I told him my eyes met his melted chocolate ones.
He chuckled softly. "Yes, Ma'am."
He reached back in a very masculine move and pulled his shirt over his head in one move. His hands reached for the band of his sweatpants. He moved slowly, lowering them over his chiseled lower stomach muscles and thighs, taking his time to reveal each inch of mocha latte skin.
Once they were gone, his body slid back over mine. One hand tangled with mine above my head as he kissed my neck. I couldn't imagine being any happier than I was with Carlos or any luckier.
This sat in my drafts waiting for an ending for a long time. I finally wrote an ending that I liked. So anyway I hope ya'll enjoy it.
