Chapter 9

Izuku bounced through the air, his body slowing down as he floated along. He had been busy today, more so than normal. His body was starting to feel tired. "You need to rest." the first said, within his mind.

"No." Izuku said to himself. "If All for One is trying to break through to this world, I have to be ready."

"But we have a plan!" the third said. "You just need to rest."

"I can't rely on Ranma Saotome. He turned on me in a fit of rage." Izuku said simply, his voice losing some of its good natured tone. "I can't ask him for help. All he wants is to fight. To win." the unspoken meaning behind those words panged at him. It reminded him of his home. He had been in this world for almost a month, and in that time he had expanded his power with One for All. Yet, he wasn't any closer to getting home.

Using blackwhip, Izuku kept himself going. He was flying through the air. As he moved, his danger sense went off in his head for a second as he saw smoke billowing in the distance. Izuku's eyes narrowed for a second before making his way to the location of the smoke.

Upon landing, he found Ryoga Hiibiki, standing in a small hole that was newly formed. "Did you do this?" Izuku asked, a small growl in his tone.

Ryoga sneered, "yes. Had to get your attention somehow." he said, before ripping the umbrella from his back. "I'm going to put you down, here and now!" he shouted before charging forward. Using his umbrella as a club, he swung it at izuku. Danger sense warned him of this, but he felt multiple different spikes coming from it. Jumping over the umbrella, Izuku found himself being wrapped in chains.

"Don't worry!" Moose shouted, "where not going to kill you, just making you stop!" he shouted, using the chains to try and throw him into the walls of the building close by. Quickly, Izuku ripped the chain off of himself before preparing to flick his finger.

"SMASH!" he shouted before flicking it, catching Ryoga and Moose in the huricane of wind that was unleashed. Just as izuku was about to land upon the ground, a large spear appeared right between his feet. Looking up, he saw Shampoo falling down, preparing to make an attack with her Chui. he jumped backwards, making sure to give himself a few feet from them before speaking. "What are you doing?"

Ryoga, Shampoo, and Moose all stood together, their weapons at the ready. Behind Izuku, a voice spoke. "We're trying to help."

Izuku turned around and saw Ukyo, Cologne and Akane standing there, blocking his path. Ukyo stepped forward, "please, we want to help you. To send you home." she said.

Izuku felt a pang of betrayal. "Help me?" izuku whispered. He couldn't feel Danger Sense anymore. The three of them were not trying to kill him or do anything malicious. "I'm sorry, but you can't help me." his eyes turned to the Amazon elder. "I can't stop helping people." he said before crouching.

In a matter of seconds, the following things happened all at once. Moose and Shampoo threw their weapons. Cologne bounced herself high, covering Izuku's path. Ukyo and Akane held themselves strong, guarding the exit. Izuku launched himself into the air, only to meet Elder Cologne in the air. She used her staff to hit Izuku, launching him back down. As he fell, Moose's chains once more wrapped around him as Shampoos Chui hit him in the chest, knocking the wind out of him. Moose tightened the chains before trying to throw him to the ground.

Izuku's body hit the ground hard. He felt his shoulder crack. Danger sense was on the fritz! It would spike then stop! It was like it couldn't make up its mind if they were trying to kill him or not! Growling, Izuku charged up to 40 percent, flexing as hard as he could to make the chains shatter from his body. Growling, Izuku knelt down into a runner's pose before charging at the three fighters at the end of the alley. Planting his fist into Moose's chest he shouted, "DETROIT! SMASH!" Moose was pushed back, his glasses falling off his face.

Quickly, Izuku spread his feet out and flipped himself backwards, landing a spinning Axe Kick to Shampoos head, "SMASH!" When she fell, he quickly spun in place and planted his foot into Ryogas face, sending him backwards. However, cologne was right behind him and forced her staff forward, hitting Izuku on the back of his head. Stumbling, Izuku turned. Focusing upon the elder.

At the Tendo Dojo, Ranma was sitting at the table in the living room, watching the news. He was rather bored at first, until the newest news broadcast started with an emergency announcement. "I repeat! Do not come to the market sector! It seems the Nerima Wrecking crew is at it again! Only it seems that it's the demon of Japan who has received their ire." Ranma leaned forward, his eyes glued to the screen. That was when he saw them. Ukyo, Shampoo and Akane were caught on camera. He growled before standing up and rushing out the front door.

Back at the alleyway, Izuku had just wrapped Moose's chain around his arm. With a grunt, he jerked on the chain. Raising his leg, he caught the flying form of Moose with his knee. Then, jumping, he planted his foot into Moose's stomach and forced him to the side. Cologne bounced forward before being directly in front of Izuku. He went to attack, trying another kick only to hit thin air. Cologne slammed her staff into Izuku's side forcing him to the ground.

Gasping, Izuku felt the air leave his body. Laying upon the floor, he felt his vision slowly fading for a moment. His body was giving out. Growling, Izuku forced himself up. He couldn't give up. They where trying to stop him. He had to save people, as many as possible. He raised himself up, stumbling to his feet. "I…" he started to say. "I have to save people. I can't waste time. Whatever is coming, I need to be ready." he said, breathing hard. Bringing his arm up, he prepared a flick. His arm was shaking. Quickly, he dropped it down to underneath him before he flicked his finger. Launching himself into the air, he flew into the air. Everyone but Akane followed behind him as he launched himself into the air, over the rooftops.

Akane frowned before chasing after them, running on the streets below.

Catching himself, Izuku, flipped himself onto a rooftop, flipped around and swung his foot out in a kick to the nearest target, this hit Ryoga hard, forcing him back down to the ground. Using that momentum, he turned and began running. As he did so, he jumped from the roof, using float to safely land upon the ground, then he shouted, "smokescreen!" and the pink smoke blanketed around him. Unknown to him, Akane had begun running in his direction, hoping to catch up to him. With the smoke blocking his view he turned to run.

As he began he could hear the sound of his pursues behind him. Growling in frustration, he turned around quickly and flicked his finger again. That's when he heard a scream, one he hadn't ever heard. The air blast had caught Akane, throwing her backwards. Her body collided with one of the many shopping carts in the market district. She went limp, completely unconscious.

Izuku stopped, smokescreen dissipating in his stunned silence. The pursuing members of this group stopped to see what had happened, spotting Izuku and Akane. Izuku felt his legs give out for a second before he was running to Akanes body. One for all deactivated, he managed to reach her, sliding to her body. Ukyo and Cologne jumped down, leaving Moose and Shampoo alone. They could hear Ryogas shouting in the distance slowly getting further and further away.

Checking her pulse, Izuku happened to know she was alive, breathing at the very least. He felt tears in his eyes. He hadn't known she was there. Ukyo approached them before kneeling across from Izuku. She placed her hand upon his shoulder before slowly reaching up and removing his mask. "Please. Let us help." she said, softly.

"I…" izuku said dumbly, "i didn't…" he did this. They should have been mad. Why weren't they?

Ukyo turned to elder cologne. "She'll be ok, ya?" she asked, her eyebrows furrowed.

"Of course i'm going to be ok…" Akane said, her voice breathless. "I just need a minute." her eyes narrowed at Izuku. "What did you do that for, you jerk?" she asked.

"AKANE!" a voice shouted out. Looking up, Izuku spotted the wide eyes of Ranma Saotome. He spotted the downed girl and immediately saw red. "WHAT DID YOU DO!?" faster than ever before Ranma was in Izuku's face, pushing him back. He didn't fight it. Ranma's grip on Izuku's costume was tight, ironclad. Shoving Izuku back, he asked again, "WHAT DID YOU DO TO AKANE!?"

His anger was justified. Izuku felt his vision slowly darkening. He was so tired. Just a couple of minutes. That's all he needed. Ranma growled again, ready to attack Izuku, only for Ukyo to shout, "Ranchan! Don't! We're trying to stop this from getting worse!"

Ranma held his fist back, feeling his arm holding Izuku growing heavy. He turned back, only to spot Izuku midoriya passed out, his body going limp. Ranma let him go. Izuku hit the ground, but showed no signs of acting. Akane slowly stood up. "Are you ok, Akane?" Ukyo asked, helping her up.

"I think so. It only hurt when I hit the stand. I just got really lucky." Akane said, dusting herself off. Her eyes fell on Izuku's unconscious form. "He must have been going for a while."

Ranma's eyes fell on Izuku's form as didn't like it. Something was wrong. More than just Akane getting hurt. It was this guy! Everything about him upset Ranma. Right? That's how it was. Yet, hearing Ukyo shout for him to stop from attacking him. He ground his teeth in. What was it? Did he like him or not? After attacking Akane, probably not, but he never showed any reason to do so before.

Ukyo sighed. "We provoked him. We should have been more prepared." she said.

Akane nodded before speaking. "We're lucky I'm the only one that got hurt. What happened to him?" she approached him before feeling his pulse. It was light, a sign he was alive at least.

"You're not upset?" Ranma asked. "He hurt you."

She turned to Ranma for a second before she spoke. "Ya, i'm upset, but not at him. I made this mistake once before, getting in the middle of a heated battle. Remember?" she asked, fiddling with her hair. Ranma was reminded of the time he and Ryoga had battled that had led to her getting most of it cut off. He sighed.

"Well, we got him to stop." cologne said, bouncing over to the unconscious superhero. "What put him down?"

"I think it was quite a shock." Ukyo said. "The shock of hurting an innocent in all of this, constantly working himself to the bone, I mean take your pick. Whatever it was, his body couldn't take it."

"So you guys planned this?" Ranma asked, confusion on his face.

Ukyo nodded her head, "ya, I figured if you two actually talked about your problems, things could actually be solved. Normally you can solve a problem with your fist, but he's too strong for that." she looked at the unconscious boy. "He can stay with me until he awakens. Once he does, you two are going to talk. I think we all deserve to know what's really going on." no objections. No one told her otherwise. That night, Izuku midoriya was placed under the care of Ukyo, until he awoke properly. In that time, Izuku found himself trapped in his mind space.

Izuku's eyes slowly opened, seeing the blackened void with the eight chairs sitting on the stone slab hanging in the center of it all. "This is why you have to take it easy." Diagoro said, his arms folded.

"Indeed. We are sorry we couldn't have stopped you sooner." Yoichi shigiraki said.

"Wait," izuku started to say, his voice muffled. "Aren't you all mad? I hurt someone innocent."

"We all have hurt an innocent or two in our time, kid. Collateral damage happens." Hikage said. "However, its how we take responsibility that makes us heroes."

"The fact that your here tells us how your feeling about what happened." Nana said, a soft smile on her face. "Guilt can be a powerful motivator to do the right thing, just as the drive to do good by others." the other users nodded.

"We know things are looking grim, kid." Diagoro spoke once more. "But its time for you to slow down. You have gained all your going at the rate you're going. You're going to end up killing yourself."

"And that can not happen." En spoke. "You have to survive to defeat All for One. rushing out half cocked hurt yourself more than it helped."

"Plus you stopped listening to us." the third user said. "If you want to use our quirks properly, you need to listen properly." he stood from his chair before crossing his arms. His eyes pierced through Izuku, a cold chill ran along his spine.

Izuku's head dropped for a moment before nodding. He knew they were right. Yet, all he wanted to do was help. It seemed that the vestiges could feel his thoughts because the first once more spoke, "helping others is your best trait, Midoriya." he was smiling softly, "you simply needed to rest." Izuku felt a pull coming from his mind, it would seem it was time for him to awaken. He did not know what was going to meet him upon awakening, but he knew he would have to face his mistake.

A/N: ok. This is going to take some explaining and I knew it would. First of all, with everything I had been building to, the only way I could see Izuku stopping was the shock of hurting an innocent. Akane in Ranma ½ has a habit of getting in trouble/ caught up in a fight that she had no reason to be there for. In terms of what I wanted to do, I wanted to have a moment like in the anime, where everyone comes together and tries to stop him. Only, that wouldn't work without in the Ranma ½ world. After writing the first couple of chapters, I realized that the world of Ranma is full of crazy ass people and events that make it almost impossible for Izuku to stop for a moment of rest. He would constantly be doing hero work, constantly moving and fighting; he wouldn't have a moment to make a proper relationship with the Nerima Wrecking crew. So, when it came time for me to write this chapter, I knew I needed something. The shock alone would snap Izuku out of what he's dealing with. Then there's the vestiges. In the actual series, they told izuku to slow down, he didn't listen, then went into the mind scape to complain he wasn't listening. So I used this moment, how much he's been going that izuku would be so tired he would slip into the mind scape. Where is the story going from here? I honestly don't know. I haven't written the next chapter yet, but I have an idea where it's going. I have an idea where it ends, but that's it.

Any ways! Lets get started on the chapter responses!

Chronosign: Izuku's position is starting to remind me of the CW's Reverse Flash and how Thawne had been training Barry become fast enough to return him to his time.

Kain: You're not wrong. I think I was trying to set it up organically, but figured out pretty quick that Izuku would realize that Ranma might be the one to send him home.

Spite Sensei: now this is starting to go in a interesting direction, i got to admit, i really looking forward to how izuku acts when pushed into a corner by people he doesn't fully call his friends like his classmates' in 1-A, will he push himself hard enough to just outright collapse, or is he willing to even use gear shift if it means getting them out of his way?

Also have to wonder if the Vestiges will interfere for Izuku's own good.

Im seriously enjoying this because as the chapters go by you can just feel how close to collapse Izuku is, at this point sheer will and OFA is keeping Izuku on his feet.

Kain: so, the main thing with Gear shift is from what I understand is that he gains gear shift in chapter 369 whereas I am currently writing this story in the chapters of 313, where he's battling lady nagant. I haven't had him use the gear shift because in my story he doesn't have it yet. Plus it would make him more op than i already have him written. Sorry. But with that in mind, i am glad you're enjoying this story.

Monster King: awesome work and thanks for mentioning me in your shout out i think its called?

Kain: Same thing I think? Lol. well, have another!

Djinn: great new chapter, look forward to seeing how events unfold for the Nerima crew.

Kain: Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it.
