Y/N woke up to the sound of his alarm blaring. He groaned as he reached over to turn it off, feeling the weight of another long day at work settling over him. He dragged himself out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom, splashing cold water on his face to try and wake himself up.

As he got dressed, Y/N couldn't help but think about the monotony of his job. Every day was the same: he sat in a cubicle, typing away at a computer for hours on end. He longed for something more fulfilling, but bills needed to be paid, and there were no other opportunities in sight.

Y/N grabbed a quick breakfast and headed out the door, joining the stream of commuters on the way to the train station. As he sat on the train, surrounded by other tired and weary workers, he couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. Was this all there was to life? Wake up, go to work, come home, sleep, repeat.

After getting off the train, Y/N stood at the crosswalk, his eyes fixed on the red hand as it counted down the seconds until he could cross. He felt the sweat on his palms as he clutched his briefcase tighter anxiously glancing at the watch on his wrist. He was running late for work, and every second counted.

As he waited, he noticed a young girl standing next to him, holding her mother's hand with a ball in her other hand. She looked up at him and gave him a toothy grin completely unaffected by the stress and worry that filled Y/N' mind. Her carefree attitude was contagious, and Y/N found himself smiling back at her.

He then glanced over to the other side and noticed a homeless man sitting on the pavement his ragged clothes and unkempt appearance had a sharp contrast to the business attire of Y/N and the other pedestrians The man held up a sign that read, "Anything helps", and Y/N felt a pang of guilt as he realized he had ignored him on his way to work.

With a pang of compassion, he reached into his briefcase and grabbed a few dollars, handing them to the homeless man with a smile. The man looked up at him in surprise as he gratefully accepted the money.

The young girl decided to play with her red ball. As she bounced it up and down, in her excitement, she accidentally hit the ball a little too hard, and it flew out of her hands.

To her dismay, the ball bounced off the sidewalk and onto the busy street in front of her house. The young girl heart sank as she watched cars rushing by afraid that her beloved new toy would be run over and destroyed. She quickly ran to get it.

"Mama my ball!" she exclaimed as tears started to form in her eyes.

Her mother saw what her daughter had done and tried to reach for her. Just as her mother reached for her, a truck was speeding down the street, unaware as to what was about to happen. As the truck suddenly started approaching her. Panic overtook the mother as she watched in terror, but to her surprise, Y/N grabbed the young girl and pushed her to her mother. As Y/N was able to save the young girl, everything went to black and can faintly hear the screams. Y/N life has been snuffed away.
