Disclaimer: I don't own Marvel of it's characters if I did then Peter Parker and Kitty Pryde would be together in every universe.

Well, I finished the final Chapter of my ShadowSpider Prime story. This is the first installation of other stories for this series. I hope that you all enjoy it. Also, I decided that I'm gonna make Peter 29 however he had only turned 29 a few months back in this fanfiction, Kitty will have just turned 24 in September. I don't know if Marvel ever revealed Kitty's birthday, so I'm making it up. When I think about it, I'm not the most concerned about their ages, because I hope to write in Wells run, so anyone who is reading that run, you know what that means. Though there will be some changes though. I'm certainly not gonna do to Peter and Kitty, what Marvel did to Peter and MJ. Even though I'm not sorry for what happened, seriously Peter doesn't need to be with MJ to have a happy ending, he can be with other women who can make him happy, if not happier, like a certain woman who can never stick with one style when it comes to costumes. In her former boyfriend's words, 'Lady, you can't dress yourself.'

I'm not sure if the timeline is correct but I got from MAB86 story that Knull happened somewhere around Christmas. The guy is a lot more knowledgeable than me when it comes to comics, so I'm making it that it is somewhere around December in this fic. I am planning on reading the King in Black story, hope it's good. I really have some catching up to do when it comes to comics. If King in Black shows that it is a different month, then I'll go back and change things. Hey, I've done it before, why can't I do it again? Also, if anyone has any ideas for a chapter in my next fanfiction, feel free the PM me, and I'll put them into consideration. Some help is always appreciated.

Anyway, be sure to review, and enjoy the final chapter of the fanfic.

Chapter 4: The End of the Date

Peter and Kate were walking through Central Park continuing their conversation, "I still can't believe that you hate Star Wars" Kate said

"Well believe it, I can't stand it," Peter said

"But, how? Just how can you hate it? The majority of your quotes comes from Star Wars," Kate said

"I just think that Star Wars is overdone and unrealistic," Peter said

"Overdone? Unrealistic," Kate said incredulously, "First off Star Wars is not overdone, they still have a lot more years in them, and a ton of potential for future stories. I mean they sell comic books that shows Anakin Skywalker's training when he was training in the jedi temple, heck they have a comic book series dedicated to Darth Vader" Kate said

Peter snorted, "Well someone's a comic fan," Peter said

Kate blushed a bit, "I dabble in comics when I have the time, it all depends, if the story interests me. But anyways not the point, not only do they have comics, but novelizations as well. Star Wars still has many years of stories left," Kate said

"It's still unrealistic," Peter said

"It is realistic," Kate said

"It is so not," Peter said

"I lived in space for eight months, I was part of a space-based team, and I was engaged to their leader. If anyone knows whether or not Star Wars is realistic, it's me, and I say, is" Kate said

"I've been to space to, and I say not, and I can give you a reason on why Star Wars isn't as great as it seems, multiple reasons actually" Peter said

"Oh yeah, what's that," Kate asked

"Well first off, the Force is dumb, ridiculous, and utter nonsense," Peter said

"The Force is not ridiculous," Kate said

"Yes, it is. The Force is a lame attempt to give people powers to make it, so it isn't just people swinging giant lasers at each other. Which brings me to another reason why Star Wars sucks, lightsabers. I mean why," Peter asked

"Ok first off, the Force could so be real," Kate said making Peter scoff.

"Yeah right," Peter said

"It could be, think about it for a moment, the midichlorian count could easily be compared with the x-gene," Kate said

"Oh my God," Peter said shaking his head, "Please tell me you are not comparing mutants to jedi now."

"Maybe I am, I could so pull off a yellow lightsaber," Kate joked making Peter laugh.

"Lightsabers are still dumb," Peter said

"How are they dumb," Kate asked

"What is the point of carrying a giant laser around," Peter answered with a question

"A lightsaber can deflect lasers," Kate said

"So can a sword," Peter said

"A sword will eventually weaken and break," Kate shot back, "Jedi also use lightsabers to make holes in doors or walls, it's been demonstrated in both the movies and TV shows," Kate said

"A sword can do the same thing," Peter said

"If it's made from some strong material and sharp enough, but lightsabers produce a heat so hot that it either melts or burns and the jedi have used that to their advantage," Kate said

"Well, the ordering is ridiculous, I mean they made episodes 4, 5, and 6 first and then they made episodes 1, 2, and 3. Let's not forget that they actually made a tv series Star Wars: The Clone Wars," Peter said

"Episodes 4, 5, and 6 were great, so great that everyone wanted there to be more movies, and everyone wanted to know how they got to the point of the emperor's takeover. That's why they created episodes 1, 2, and 3 as a prequel, because we wanted to see what happened," Kate explained

"Oh, and what about the clone wars series," Peter asked

"Are you saying that you never wondered what the jedi did in the war, what their missions were like, their roles, or even how the war affected the rest of the galaxy," Kate said

"I just don't get it. What were they trying to do? Make us sympathize with Darth Vader, we all knew what was gonna happen in the end. Anakin Skywalker turns to the dark side and becomes Darth Vader," Peter said

"The Clone Wars showed a different perspective of Darth Vader, before he was Vader, he was Anakin Skywalker, the chosen one, the hero with no fear. He was the general of the 501st company, and he had his own padawan," Kate said

"That's another thing that I have a problem with. What was with giving him a padawan, I mean really, she wasn't shown or even had a mention in any of the movies. Seemed like a real waste giving him a padawan," Peter said

"Don't you dare be bashing on Ahsoka Tono," Kate said making Peter raise his eyebrow.

"Well, someone's a fan," Peter said

"Well, yeah, of course I am. I always felt like I could relate to Ahsoka, she was a 14-year-old girl thrust in a war, she had to adapt, grow, and mature. We got to see her go from that 14-year-old padawan to an experienced veteran, not just in Clone Wars but in Rebels. Really reminds me of my story," Kate said

"Oh," Peter asked

Kate nodded, "I was a 13 going on 14-year-old girl who was thrust into this world when Emma and the professor came to recruit me. At a young age I went on missions, fought bad guys, saved lives, nearly dying. Everything that happened to me over the years shaped me into the person I am. I used to be a bratty, immature girl who was just learning to control her powers, and now I'm," Kate said

"A beautiful, strong, total badass hero with a pirate fetish," Peter finished

"I do not have a pirate fetish. I am a pirate," Kate said, suddenly she just realized what Peter said about her and blushed a bit, "You think I'm beautiful?"

Realizing what he had just said Peter blushed too, he then stopped walking making Kate stop as well while rubbing the back of his head nervously. He did not mean to say that out loud, one of the only times where his mouth betrayed him. "Um, yeah of course. Anyone with eyes could tell you're beautiful," Peter answered

Kate couldn't help but stair, he really thought that she was beautiful, and it wasn't just him flirting with her, the way he said it and the tone of his voice, he meant what he said, he really thought that she was beautiful. A smile slowly starts to form on Kate's face.

"I'm sorry if that made you feel uncomfortable," Peter apologized, he really hopes that he didn't screw this up just because he said the wrong thing. Right when things seemed to be going so well, he has to say something to ruin it, typical Parker luck.

Kate shook her head, "Don't apologize. Thank you for the compliment, it's just been a long time since I was given one like that," she said

"Really? I'd figure guys would be throwing compliments your way every chance they got," Peter said

Kate chuckled, "You'd be wrong about that. It's been such a long time since I've dated anyone, or anyone has shown any interest in me. I think guys are either scared that Logan will kill them, or I intimidate them. My last boyfriend…" she said chuckling, "Goodness, my last boyfriend was practically and astronaut. And now that I think about it, Bobby was one of my boyfriends. Isn't that something," Kate said shaking her head, and Bobby was the one who set this up.

Peter chuckled, "Dating my best friend's ex-girlfriend, normally that's a violation of bro-code," he said as they started walking again.

Kate grinned then walked a little ahead and turned around walking backwards so she could face Peter, "I'm sure you could be forgiven, after all it was Bobby who set this up," Kate said

"So, is that why you agreed to this date? Having trouble with guys and Bobby decided to help out and set you up," Peter asked

"Honestly, not really, truth be told I haven't even been looking for a relationship. I've focused most of my time on my duties in Krakoa. A boyfriend was the last thing I needed, but Bobby thought differently, he thinks that I need a boyfriend to keep me grounded. Said that a boyfriend could help me deal with everything that has happened," Kate said

"What do you mean by that," Peter asked

Kate was hesitant, she wasn't entirely comfortable talking about her drowning and revival, about the nightmares that she had at night, and the panic attacks. She wasn't comfortable about telling him how much she started drinking, that her friends pretty much told her that she was a borderline alcoholic. Frankly she didn't even mean to say what she did, but she found that it was just so easy to talk to Peter, and it just came out. Finally making a decision she spoke, "I went through a trauma recently and I haven't exactly handled it the best. Bobby, Logan, my mother, and some of my friends held an intervention for me," Kate said

"You too," Peter asked surprised at what he heard.

"Me to," Kate questioned, then it dawned on her, "Wait you mean," she trailed as she looked at Peter, she got a nod at her unspoken question.

"I had an intervention too," Peter said

"Seriously," Kate asked surprised that Peter was given an intervention as well. Part of her wondered what his intervention was about.

"Seriously, Bobby, Logan, the Fantastic Four, along with some of my other friends all set it up. The way they got me there was quite impressive, sneaky, and maybe a bit underhanded, but impressive," Peter said

"Really? What they do, and if you don't mind me asking what was it about," Kate asked

"You first, that is, if you want to. I can see that you're uncomfortable, if you don't want to tell me, you don't have to," Peter said gently, he doesn't want to make Kate uncomfortable or upset her. He can tell that whatever happened to her has taken its toll on her, and she may not want to talk about it. He gets it, traumas are a very personal matter, and despite how things are going, he and Kate don't really know each other. Trust needs to be built between them for them to talk about this stuff. Peter gets it, he's gone through his own traumas, heck he's still trying to get over Kindred and what he did.

Kate smiled at the gentleness, he really is a good guy, "Ororo called, she and told me she had something important she needed to talk to me about. I met up with her and she led me to a room filled with my family and friends, they approached me on my behavior and how they were worried. I'll admit I didn't react the best to that situation, I even lashed out, but in the end as I listened to what they had to say, and I realized that they all really cared about me and were all genuinely worried about my wellbeing. After I listened to what they said I told them that I heard them and then asked if I could go. They let me go and I went to think. Bobby later came to me and told me that he had the perfect way that he'd help me. He said that I needed a boyfriend, someone who could ground me, and remind me of who I am. He then told me that he was gonna set me up on a date. I tried to get out of it, said I didn't need a boyfriend I was fine on my own. I will admit though that I did hold some curiosity about who he was setting me up with. When he told me who it was and your name, I tried everything I could to get out of it," Kitty said

Peter arched an eyebrow curious, "You got something against the name Peter," Peter asked causing Kate to laugh.

"This is not something I tell on a first date, but I have a history with the name Peter," Kate said surprising Peter.

"Really," Peter asked getting a nod from Kate.

"Piotr Rasputin, Peter Wisdom, and Peter Quill. Three Peter's I've been with, three Peter's all of them older than me to, and none of them worked out. I had no interest in adding a fourth Peter to the mix," Kate explained

"Wow, so not only do you have a pirate fetish, but you have a older guys fetish, and a Peter fetish," Peter said

"I DO NOT HAVE A FETISH," Kate exclaimed while smiling. "Anyway, I tried to get out of it, but Bobby somehow convinced me to give you one date."

"Oh, so it is my privilege to be in your presence then," Peter said getting a grin from Kate.

"You damn right it is, I don't just agree to go on a date with any guy," Kate said

"No, they just all have to be older men named Peter," Peter commented, "Makes me wonder how much I fit the standards."

"Depends, you never said how old you were," Kate replied

"I turned 29 August back," Peter answered

"Really," Kate answered surprised getting a nod from Peter. "I actually just turned 24 in September," Kate said, she then smirked, "Heh, looks like you do fit my standards."

"Maybe your intervention should have been about your obsession with Peter's," Peter said making Kate laugh, "Hey I made you laugh again."

"You're a funny guy," Kate said

"Could you tell everyone who I know that. They always say my humor sucks, which is ironic considering some of them which include Bobby, Angelica, and Johnny actually share my humor," Peter said

Kate chuckled at that, "Anyway I gave my explanation, now it's your turn," Kate said

"Ok, it's only fair. I guess it started with a phone call from Reed, he told me that he needed help with an experiment that he'd been working on, and that if it worked then Franklin could regain his powers. I tell him I'll help whenever he needs me. He asked if I could come over then and I said yes. I dress in my Spidey suit and swing over to their home. I am greeted by Sue, and she leads me to a room. Once I entered the room, I saw a bunch of my friends there sitting down, all of them giving me serious and concerned faces," Peter said

"Using Franklin as an excuse, that is devious," Kate responded, devious and kind of smart, she really has to give them credit for that.

"I know right, so anyway, they all give me serious and concerned looks, and I swear I heard Sue lock the door behind me. They tell me to take a seat, so I do, I made a joke about Reed needing more help with Franklin's powers. Yeah, no one laughed. I swear with the looks they were giving me, I felt that I was on a trial. I couldn't help but wonder, what I did this time," Peter said

"What made you think you did anything," Kate asked making Peter grin at her, however, unlike the others it wasn't a happy or joking grin, it was tense, filled with frustration, and maybe a little sadness.

"I always seem to do something that makes people angry with me, even when I haven't done anything, all it takes is one rumor or something and suddenly everyone is against me. I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me over the years," Peter explained as he thinks of recent events with Wilson Fisk singing him praises, causing his fellow heroes to turn against him, even after everything they've been through together.

Seeing his frustration and sadness, not to mention what he just said filled Kate with sadness, she never really thought about it before but what he says is right, people do tend to turn against him a lot. It must be frustrating, after spending years dedicating yourself to fighting for good, helping people, all the team-ups, and despite all of that, people still turn against you with the littlest things. She's never really thought about it before, but Peter has more in common with the X-Men then she ever realized. The X-Men, and mutants in general have always been judged for being different, and even after spending years protecting this world and its people, they still find themselves walking on eggshells. Kate can understand that frustration and sadness, because despite how tough she acts, has felt those same feelings, more times than she could count.

"Anyway, Sue apparently saw the look on my face, and told me that I wasn't in trouble. Johnny made a joke which gained an elbow from Bobby," Peter said chuckling at the memory, it was always funny seeing those two go at it when they're together. "I then asked why I was there and what was going on. They were silent for a moment until Logan, being his usual charming self, told me that this was an intervention," Peter said smiling a little at the memory, it really was kind of funny when he thinks about it.

Kate smiled as well, knowing Logan like she does, she pretty much already knew his words and tone of voice. Logan has never been one to beat around the bush, that's for sure.

"It took a minute to sink in, once it did, well I was surprised. I swear out of anything that I expected to happen to me that day, an intervention was not one of them," Peter said

"I don't think anyone ever expects that. They're normally a surprise, if the person knew that they were gonna be given an intervention they'd do everything they could to avoid it. No one wants to be told that they have a problem, trust me I know," Kate said remembering her own intervention, she certainly didn't like being told about her problems.

"They started to give me the we love you and care about you speech," Peter said getting a raised eyebrow from Kate.

"That must've been interesting," Kate said

"It was, Angelica then said that it was because they loved me that they were concerned about me," Peter said

"What were they concerned about, if you don't mind me asking," Kate said curiously.

"Well, there was Kraven's hunt that happened in times square, where he captured all animal themed people, gathered them together just so they could be hunted but hunters all around the world. I wound up being one of the captured," Peter said

"I think I heard about that, a lot of heroes converged together to try and find a way to stop it," Kate said

"That did happen, I wound up stopping it eventually," Peter said

"Any other reasons," Kate asked

"Well, they did bring up my roommate," Peter said

"Your roommate? What does he have to do with their concern? What is he a supervillain," Kate asked jokingly; however, she got silence in response, "No way, you're joking. You are not rooming with a supervillain. Who is it?"

"You ever hear of Boomerang," Peter asked

"Sparingly," Kate replied, the name did sound familiar.

"Well, that's who I'm rooming with, his full name is Fred Myers. Apparently, he helped out when Hydra took over the US, because of that everyone thinks that he's reformed, he even claims it. Me and Randy, my other roommate, were looking for a third roommate and Fred came, Randy and he struck up a friendship, he also pays his rent. Really, I can't do anything about it," Peter said

"Do you think he's reformed," Kate asked

"Honestly, I'm up on the fence with it. I'm honestly not sure, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but…I've been fighting him for years, he has never shown any interest in changing sides. So yeah it's," Peter said

"Complicated," Kate finished getting a nod from Peter, "I can understand that I still find it weird that I work alongside the likes of Mr. Sinister, and Mystique." She's still not sure how trustworthy some of the council is, the professor is willing to give them a chance and work with them, but it's hard to forget the past, all the fights that they've had, she remembers them all, she wonders if Kurt, Jean, and Ororo feel the same way.

"They also brought up Sin Eater which was quite the mess itself, and me splitting in two" Peter thought

"Splitting in two," Kate asked

"Long story short some mercenaries came to ESU and attacked. I think they were after the Isotope Genome Accelerator," Peter said

"Isotope genome accelerator," Kate said

"Yeah, it originally can transmute characteristics of one organism to another. They were trying to reverse engineer the effects so they could isolate and divide hybrid properties," Peter explained

"That's very interesting. Did they succeed," Kate asked

"They did, I was the first test subject," Peter said

"Say again," Kate said

Peter smiled, "It happened like this Taskmaster and Black Ant were in the classroom. I had nowhere to go to change, no windows, nor closets. Doctor Connors tried doing something, but it didn't work, so I knew I had to get creative, I then saw the chemicals nearby and knew what to do," Peter said

"Explosion or smokescreen," Kate asked, she knew where it was going.

"Smokescreen, thing is I had to get there and if I just walked on over they would have thought something was up. So, I came up with a plan," Peter said

"Which was," Kate asked

"Get Taskmaster's attention, insult him, and make him angry enough to hit me to where the chemicals were," Peter answered

"Something tells me it worked," Kate said

"It did. I wound up making fun of his face. I asked if what he had on was a mask or his actual face. I then asked him which superhero ripped his face-skin off. I asked if it was Wolverine, I bet it was Wolverine. After that he threw me over to the chemicals," Peter said

Kate chuckled, "Wow, you must have pissed him off," Kate said

"Oh, I did, believe me. Anyway, after that I mixed the chemicals and made a smokescreen. Before that though Taskmaster made me back up and I activated the accelerator and it hit me making me its first human test subject. The reaction must have been delayed though possibly because of the chemicals, because the next thing I know, I'm on the ground watching Spider-Man fight off Taskmaster and Black Ant. After he chases them away, Spider-Man comes over to me and helps me up. That was weird," Peter said

"So, this genome accelerator split you in half, one half Spider-Man, the other half Peter Parker," Kate asked

"Yep, that's what happened, after that was done, we met up on the roof, and after strenuous testing, it was confirmed," Peter said but was cut off by Kate.

"Wait I'm sorry but how do you even test something like that," Kate said

"We played rock paper scissors, where we tied, a lot. Made identical faces or as identical as one can make while wearing a mask, and then asked each other questions. I asked him questions about my life as Peter Parker and he asked me about the life of Spider-Man," Peter explained

Kate couldn't help but grin, "You played rock paper scissors, made faces, and played a game of trivia to test if the Spider-Man was legit," Kate asked, she couldn't help but find that hilarious, just thinking about it makes her want to laugh.

"It was all I could come up with. Not all of us are equipped with some of the best lab equipment on the market you know," Peter shot back making Kate smile. "Anyway, we talked for some time on what to do about the situation we were in and well, in the end we decided to just leave it," Peter said surprising Kate.

"Leave it? You didn't even try to fuse back together," Kate asked getting a headshake from Peter.

"No, what we had…it was an opportunity. My duties as Spider-Man always got in the way of my life as Peter Parker. It was always frustrating; I've had to give up a lot of things to be Spider-Man. But you know with us being separate now, him going out to save the day and me being able to live my life. So many things seemed possible," Peter said

"Like," Kate asked curious, she couldn't help but wonder what he believed that he couldn't have as long as he was Spider-Man.

"Like I could finally get a good job and not be fired because of my disappearances, I could focus on school and finally graduate properly, and I could settle down," Peter explained, "Don't get me wrong I wasn't without some worry, in fact I even tried telling him that we should try running tests, to make sure there were no side effects."

"Were you able to run the test," Kate asked

"Nope, because then he stood up and said that his spider-sense was going off and swung away," Peter said rolling his eyes, "The spider-sense doesn't even work like that, but you know what could I do. It's not like I could force him to stay he's Spider-Man."

"So, what was it like? Living your life without your powers, without being Spider-Man," Kate asked

"At first, it was nice, I got to spend time with my friends, family, and my girlfriend at the time. I got to focus on school and try and get a job, for a while life was good," Peter said

"But," Kate said, there is always a but in these type of stories.

"There were adjustments, you never know how much you rely on your powers until you don't have them anymore," Peter said

"I'll bet," Kate said, she can't imagine living her life without her powers, she's had them for so long using them is second nature now. Now that she thinks of it if she lost them, she'd probably be running into walls a lot. Girl who walks through walls turns into girl who walks into walls.

"I almost got hit by a car, and I realized that if I ever lose my powers again, I should probably get a gym membership," Peter said

"Are you really that unfit without your powers," Kate jokingly asked

"Hey, I was a glasses wearing nerd before I got my powers. I focused more on intelligence than my muscles," Peter retorted making Kate snort, but she then imagined what Peter would look like with glasses on and she couldn't help but find him cute. "Then there was being the guy who watched the fights instead of being in them. It was different, I lost my powers before, I've been replaced before, but every time I was dragged back in it, but not that time that time he. I? Spider-Man had it covered which freed me to do the things that I wanted to do, but despite all of that something felt wrong, and I found out what it was."

"What was it," Kate asked

"Well, I got a text from Doctor Connors asking me to meet him which I did. He showed me the lab rat that he trained, he had trained it to go through the maze, but then they used the accelerator and then they had two rats, they put the rats in the maze and while the second rat was able to go through it like a pro the first one couldn't. It was like all of the skills that the original had was transferred over to the second rat," Peter explained

"Is that what happened to you," Kate asked connecting the dots, hey she's not a genius for nothing. "All of your skills got transferred over to Spider-Man?"

"Yep, including the ones I had before I was Spider-Man. Even before my powers I was a science wiz, I could go in a lab and tell you what every piece of equipment was and what they did, but when Doctor Connors asked me to get him a androgage, I had no idea what the thing looked like or what it did," Peter said

"Wow, that must have sucked," Kate said, forget life without her mutant powers, losing her genius, the very thing that she had before she had powers, that would really suck.

"It did, but that wasn't even the worst of it," Peter said

"What could be worse than losing all of your skills," Kate asked

"Well," Peter then went on to tell Kate the rest of the story on what happened when he was split.

"I swear it was like I was talking to Deadpool. I never realized just how alike we are without my sense of responsibility. It's very uncomforting," Peter said

"I'll bet," Kate said

Peter then continued with the story and got to the lab rats.

"So, without the other half they couldn't function properly and died," Kate said, realization then dawned on her, "Then that would mean."

"Yep, which meant that I didn't have much time, if I wanted to live to see another day then I had to fuse myself back with my other half," Peter said

"It couldn't have been that easy though, from the sounds of it, your other half wanted nothing to do with you. There is no way he would have willingly fused back," Kate said

"You're right but after talking it over with my girlfriend at the time I decided that I needed to fuse back with him. The thing is the accelerator was at ESU under tight security. I needed a thief. After some contemplating I decided that it was time to use good old Boomerang for something other than annoying me," Peter said getting a smile from Kate.

"Let me guess, you tricked him into stealing the machine for you and when he least expected it, you stole it from him," Kate said

Peter laughed, "Yep, at the time I was too focused, but now that I think about it, the look on Boomerang's face when I drove the truck away from him was priceless," Peter said

Kate laughed, she could just imagine the look, the guy probably had no idea what just happened right in front of him.

"So, I tracked Spider-Man down put together the machine and pointed it at him. You would not believe what he was doing when I found him," Peter said

"What," Kate said

"He was lying down on a web made hammock watching the sky," Peter said

"What's so bad about that," Kate asked, sure she'll say that so far, the Spider-Man is an irresponsible asshole, but laying in a hammock isn't a crime.

"Normally nothing but considering there was an army of tri-sentinels invading New York, that was very wrong," Peter said getting a nod of understanding from Kate. Yeah, now she got it. "Once he pointed out the sentinels well, I started running, and he was running alongside me," Peter said

"He wasn't gonna do anything," Kate asked indignantly, the guy had all of the superpowers and brains and he wasn't gonna even attempt to save anyone?

"No, he wasn't, he said that he can die saving a few tourists or he could run away and save countless tourists in years to come from less scary things like the dangers of gingivitis, it can cause heart disease you know," Peter said rolling his eyes as he remembered the stupidity of his defense.

"No offense but I am beginning to like this Spider-Man less and less," Kate said

"You and me both, trust me. And you know what? The guy wasn't even paying attention, he was so focused on getting away from the danger, he didn't even realize the danger that was behind him," Peter said

"And exactly what was the danger," Kate asked

"A tri-sentinel came from behind us and was getting ready to blast him, I however did see it," Peter said

"You didn't," Kate said getting a nod from Peter.

"I pushed Spider-Man out of the way and got blown up. I barely survived, Spider-Man got to me, I asked how he didn't sense it with his spider-sense, he said that it was becoming a drag due to all of the danger around, so he turned it off. I didn't even know you could do that," Peter said

"He turned it off," Kate said frowning, yeah, she is really glad she didn't run into that Spider-Man, she definitely would have gotten tired of his shit quick.

"Yep, I tried to give the guy my last words and try and get him to understand what it meant to be responsible," Peter said, he then sighed, "Thing is even when he was supposedly serious, he was still a goof. He literally yelled in the air that he would avenge my death and be known as Peter-Man, protector of mediocre dudes who never really made anything of themselves everywhere," Peter said

"Yeah, I hate him," Kate said smirking at Peter making him smirk too.

"I explained to him that it wouldn't matter because if we didn't combine, we'd both be dead. But you know I thought maybe he needed that to happen to finally realize that with great power comes great responsibility," Peter said

"Let me guess, no," Kitty said with a deadpan look. Kate can't help but feel some kind of recognition when Peter said those last few words though. With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility. Where did she hear that phrase, for some reason that sounds like it is really important. It certainly sounds like something that they should have taught at the school, all of the schools.

Peter smiles, "No," he answered, "It was worth a try, after that I reached my hand up, shot a web at the accelerator, and make it fall. It activated and recombined us. I then find myself in my Spider-Man suit in full health and I web swing to the sentinels and save the day with the help of my tri-sentinel."

"Heh, wow," Kate said, she couldn't believe what she just heard being split in half, that really sounds like something. Having everything that made you you and having split in too could imagine it and can see now how that machine could be so dangerous. Makes her wonder if she got hit what would be split, would all of her powers, brains, plus fighting skills be put in one person but that person not having the restraint that she has. A person like that could turn out to be an excellent assassin, which frankly she has been for a time. Now Kate can't help but wonder what was it that Peter had that Spider-Man didn't and how big of a difference did it make. Now that she thinks about it, she thinks that she heard about Spider-Man acting wilder than his normal. Could that have been when it happened to him? That was when he was split? now she does remember. Spider-Man going around the city on the tri-sentinel, a lot of the staff at the school were talking about what to do about it. Some wanted to go and destroy it while others didn't want to get in any conflicts with Spider-Man because he was the one using it. It was a real debate that lasted for quite a while. So that was when he was split? Kate frowned at what Peter just said, that Spider-Man sounds like a real asshole. If he had said that if she was there, she would have punched him. The bastard didn't even think of the innocent lives he put in danger using that sentinel.

"Wait a second. Did you say that you got arrested for paying a parking meter," Kate asked

Peter nodded his head in response, "Yep, I got arrested by paying someone's parking meter," Peter said

"That makes no sense. Why would something like that be illegal? Actually, why would someone have you arrested when you did that? If it were me, I'd thank you, I mean you just saved me from getting a ticket," Kate said, what a dumb law.

"Well, glad to know there is someone who wouldn't call the cops on me," Peter joked making Kate smile.

"Well again wow, that sure is something," Kate said

"Yeah, and while all of that happened, I told no one about it until after it happened," Peter said

"You told no one," Kate asked getting a head shake from Peter, "No one at all, not even Bobby or the Fantastic Four?"

"Nope, it was my problem I had to solve it. Yeah, apparently Bobby, the Fantastic Four, and my other friends aren't big on that attitude. Which is why they set up the intervention for me. Bobby and Angelica both said that if I had called them, we could have handled that problem together a lot faster," Peter said

"Well, I hate to say it, but they do have a point, you probably could have avoided some of that stuff if you called them," Kate said

"Probably, but you know it was my problem, which means I had to solve it," Peter said

"There's nothing wrong with asking for help though, that's what friends are for right," Kate said

"Yeah, but I had the situation handled. I appreciate the concern that they had for me, but I've started this life on my own, I had to learn it on my own, and adapt on my own. What happened with me being split in half, yes it was weird, but it was nothing new to me, and just like always I handled it," Peter explained, "But yeah, anyway the others aren't big fans of me flying solo anymore, so they decided to have an intervention."

"What did they say? Or is that to personal," Kate asked

"Well, they decided to recount my body splitting adventure and the way they said it kind of made me sound like an idiot," Peter said getting a snort from Kate. "They said some really heart felt stuff to me."

"Even Logan" Kate asked

"Pretty much he told me that life is much better when you let people help you. The second Spider-Man told me how he felt about me, so did Franklin and Valeria, and I have to say that I was touched by what they said. Johnny said that when I joined the Fantastic Four I'm just not joining a team, I'm joining a family, he said that we were family and that when I need them, they'll be there. Reed said that he understood my point of view and even though I did start out in this life alone, I wasn't alone anymore there were people who would be there for me, help me if I asked for it. They said that they knew that they couldn't be there for me all the time, they just wanted me to ask for help more. The gist of it all using Logan's own words "When you find yourself in a situation that you think that you can't handle alone. Don't be a dumbass. Ask for help"," Peter quoted making Kitty laugh.

"That sounds like him alright," Kate said

"Sue asked me if I was hearing any of what they were saying and I said I was, I apologized for worrying all of them and said the only thing I could do it promise to try and ask for help more," Peter said

"Heh, so that was your intervention, heh," Kate asked getting a snort from Peter.

"That was part 1 of my intervention," Peter said

"Part 1? There's a part 2," Kate asked getting a nod from Peter, "What was part 2?"

"Part 2 was about my love life," Peter said

"You're love life," Kate repeated

"Yep, more specifically about my ex-girlfriend," Peter said

"Your ex-girlfriend what about your ex," Kate asked

"According to them, I kept giving my ex-girlfriend, Mary Jane too many chances," Peter said

"Oh," Kate said curious.

"Yeah," Peter said rubbing the back of his head, "Mary Jane Wattson, my ex-girlfriend, she and I have had an on again off again relationship for years. Each time I always thought I was gonna work but it never did. She always wound up breaking up with me because of my life as Spider-Man. But despite the breakups, we always wound up getting back together somehow. Whenever we were single it always somehow happened. It was an endless cycle, got together, broke up, got together, broke up, got together broke up. Sue told me that my relationship with MJ wasn't healthy. Bobby said that we were in an endless cycle, Angelica said that I gave her too many chances. Valeria said that MJ wasn't in it for the long run if she was, we'd be married by now. Sue said that I was smart enough to know that what I did with MJ was harmful to us both maybe not physically but emotionally it was, we were in an endless loop, it was time to break the loop, it was time to let Mary Jane go. Bobby said that MJ was a chapter that I needed to close, close so I can open a new chapter with someone else, someone better," Peter said making Kate blush as she realized that Bobby was talking about her when he said better. "Someone who would understand me and accept me," Peter said, he decided to leave out what Angelica said because that would definitely made things awkward. "So, after the intervention ended Bobby came to me and told me that he set me up on a blind date. Immediately I tried to get out of it."

"Not a fan of blind dates," Kate asked

"You kidding, I hate them. You never know what to expect, and Bobby wouldn't tell me anything, all he told me was that I was going on a date with a former X-Man. He didn't give me anything else, I'm honestly lucky that you said that you liked Italian. I thought I screwed this up just by making reservations at Luigi's," Peter said

"I'll admit I was surprised that you did make reservations," Kate admitted

Peter shrugged, "Despite my reluctance to go on a blind date, I'd figure that I would at least try and make an effort," Peter said

Kate smiled at that, that was kind of sweet when she thinks about it. He could have been totally stubborn and not done anything possibly making this date suck, but he didn't instead he put in an effort, and made reservations, all in an attempt to show his date which is her, a good time. "Well thank you for putting in the effort," she said sincerely.

"I take it I did good then," Peter said as he looked down at Kate locking eyes with her.

"You did very good, I really have had a great time," Kate said as she looked at Peter in the eyes.

"I'm glad. Despite my reluctance on going on this date, even after finding out who I was going on a date with, I," Peter said but was cut off by Kate.

"Wait you said even after finding out, did that mean you knew that you were going on a date with me, and you didn't want to," Kate asked

"Let me explain that," Peter said realizing that if the wrong thing is said then things could get ugly. "When I was on my way to the Krakoan gate I was close enough to see who it was that I was going on the date with. When I saw it was you, well frankly I honestly had to call Bobby and ask him what he was thinking about setting us up. Before you take that the wrong way, it was more of a me thing than a you thing."

"You realize that on television when a couple is breaking up the person who is doing the breaking up normally goes with the it's not you it's me routine right? I'm gonna need a bit more than that," Kate said

Peter sighed, "Ok, but just for the record, I've already been told that the reason is stupid and thinking of it now, it is," he said getting a raised eyebrow from Kate, "Ok well, I have knowledge about us."

"You're gonna need to be clearer than that," Kate said

"Ok, you know that second Spider-Man right," Peter said

"The one in the black and red suit," Kate said getting a nod from Peter.

"Well, most don't know this but he's from another Earth," Peter said

"Another Earth? You mean the multiverse," Kate asked getting a nod from Peter.

"I wound up being transported on his Earth and we met, we fought and he knocked me out with his venom blasts. I found out a lot of things while on that Earth," Peter said

"What did you find out," Kate asked

"Well, my alternate self was Spider-Man on that Earth, but he died," Peter said

"Died," Kate asked

"Yeah, fighting the sinister six. According to Spider-Man he and Green Goblin killed each other. He was 16," Peter said

"16," Kate said, that is so young to have your life taken from you. Kate can't help but feel sad, the loss of a young life, the things that that Peter will never be able to do, it's sad.

"Yeah, everyone there also knew that he was Spider-Man," Peter said

"But where do I fit into this," Kate asked

"Well, I was talking to the alternate version of one of my exes and she was telling me all the people who knew that he was Spider-Man, and there were a lot. The name Kitty Pryde was then brought up," Peter said

"So, my alternate self knew your alternate self," Kate asked getting a nod from Peter.

"They didn't just know each other, they dated," Peter said

"Dated," Kate repeated getting a nod in return. Heh so in another universe she dated Spider-Man and now she's on a date with him.

"Yeah, and that's the key word dated, past tense. Which means that they broke up and I am convinced that it was my alternate self's fault," Peter said

"What makes you think that it was his fault? How do you know that he didn't die while they were dating," Kate said

"The first answer is because it always seems to be my fault when a relationship ends. The second answer, I honestly never thought about that," Peter said, he never thought that his alternate self could have died while he dated Kate's alternate self.

"So, the reason why you were reluctant to go on a date with me was because you found out that we dated in an alternate universe," Kate said getting a shrug from Peter.

"I just figured that if my alternate self screwed up with his Kitty, then I was somehow gonna screw up with you. But Angelica told me that that was a stupid reason for not wanting to go on the date she then asked was I really gonna let the fact that we didn't work out in an alternate universe stop me from going on this date while that despite how many times my relationship with MJ failed, I still kept on trying with her. When she said it like that, she had a point and I decided to give this a try and see how it went. And you know what," Peter asked

"What," Kate asked

"I'm actually glad I went on this date, I had a lot more fun than a thought I would," Peter admitted

Kate smiled at that, "You know Angelica is right, the reasoning for your hesitance is stupid. That being said, I'm glad that that I came on this date to, I really did have fun," Kate said

"I'm glad," Peter said as he smiled, "So is there a possibility for a second date?"

"Hmm," Kate hummed, tapping her chin as she looked up in mock thought, "That depends, are you gonna let what happened to our alternate selves affect us?"

"No, I won't, I know I can be stupid, but I'm not that stupid," Peter answered

"Well then," Kate said as she stepped closer to Peter, "It looks like we got ourselves a second date," she said smiling.

Peter smiled, "I'm glad," Peter said, he really is glad that they are going to go on a second date. He doesn't know what will happen, but he certainly knows that he will try his best not to screw this up.

"So am I," Kate said, and she is glad, it's hard to believe but she really may have found someone worthwhile, and now that she has, she isn't dumb enough to just let him slip away or swing away in this case.

As they stared into each other's eyes, they noticed that they were standing quite close together. A tension then falls on the two as they look in the other's eyes. Both feel happiness at starting something with the person in front of them. "You know, I'm not the type of girl who kisses a guy on a first date," Kate said

"I can respect that. I'm not the type of guy who kisses a girl on the first date either," Peter said

"But," Kate asked

"But, I have been wanting to kiss you since dinner," Peter admitted as he took a step toward Kate, she didn't move back.

Kate grinned, "Interesting, you want to know something." Kate said

"What," Peter asked

Kate wrapped her arms around Peter's neck, "I've been thinking the same thing," she said as she then leaned up towards Peter who leaned down towards, her. As they were about to meet for a kiss, they hear an alarm going off separating them. Instincts honed from years on the job kicking in for them both. They look to see where the noise comes from and see a group of guys breaking into the Central Park Bank.

"Seriously? Why can't bad guys ever get a different M.O., the whole bank robbery thing really gets old," Peter comment, he's really getting tired of bank robberies. They're such a cliché.

"I doubt that's a topic that they have when they're at a bad guys convention," Kate joked

Peter looked around no cops, no Bobby, no Angelica, no heroes. No one to stop them but him, but Bobby and Angelica told him no Spider-Manning tonight to focus on the date.

"Hey," Kate said breaking Peter from his thoughts making him look at her, "You coming or am I gonna beat those guys up by myself," Kate asked

"Bobby and Angelica told me no Spider-Manning tonight, said they'd handle it and for me to focus on this date, but hey if you're coming then I guess I can just blame you," Peter joked making Kate smile, "Let me get changed," Peter then ran to an alleyway to change into his alter ego. Two minutes later and Spider-Man comes swinging out of the alley and lands next to Kate, "Hey there pretty lady, come here often?"

Kate grinned, "Sorry Spidey, but I'm on a date," she said

"Darn it, now what am I gonna do with my courtside lakers tickets," Spider-Man jokes

"Sorry, I'm strictly a baseball girl anyway," Kate shot back

"Ready," Peter asked

"Let's kick some butt," Kate said with that they head to the bank.

Central Park Bank

The group of guys are in the bank waiting for their safe cracker to open the vault.

"Are you done yet," the boss asked

"No, I'm not," The safe cracker answered

"Well hurry it up," the boss said

"Will you hold on, things like this take time," the safe cracker said

"And that my dear bank robbers is time you do not have," Spider-Man's voice said from behind them. All the bank robbers turned around to see Spider-Man hanging upside-down from his web with Kate standing beside him.

"SPIDER-MAN," The guy said

"Who's the chick," another guy asked

"I'm the chick that's gonna kick your ass," Kate answered

"We'll see about that," a guy said as he leered at her.

"Guy, that is a bad idea, screw with this cat and she'll claw you up," Spider-Man commented

"GET EM," the boss said as he took out his gun and started shooting at the two heroes, his crew following suit.

Spider-Man jumps and dodges the bullets with his agility while Kate just stands there and lets the bullets just go right through her. As Spider-Man lands on the ground he shoots his webs at two robbers guns, "Didn't you guys have gun control classes in school? You should know that guns are dangerous," Spider-Man said as he pulled the guns away from the robber's hands, he then runs to the robbers and knocks them out with one punch each.

"I think they skipped that class Spider-Man," Kate said as she ran toward the three robbers in front of her, she jumped up and kicked one robber in the face knocking him down. "These seem like the type of guys who skipped class when they were kids." Kate then elbowed one guy in the stomach making him bend over in pain, she then grabbed his head and slammed his face against her knee knocking him out. Kate then saw a fist coming at her and immediately activated her powers making the fist go right through her. The robber who tried punching her looked surprised, "You guys are new at the aren't you?" Kate then palmed his face with enough force to throw him down on the ground.

"How are you fighting with a dress on? Isn't that constrictive," Spider-Man asked as he jumped in the air dodging bullets, he split kicked two robbers, then shot a web at a third and threw him against the wall.

"It's a talent, you gotta learn to fight in all kinds of outfits when you're in this life," Kate said as she kicked a guy in the face, "Especially when," Kate chopped a guy in the throat making him choke, trying to grasp air, "You never," Kate sweep kicks another guy to the ground, "know where your," Kate elbowed a guy behind her in the nose, "Gonna be attacked," Kate grabs the guy behind her and throws him over her.

"Damn," Spider-Man said as he watched Kate take out four guys with ease, Spider-Man then proceeds with his own group. He webs two guys against the wall, punches one guy in the nose, then then sees one guy throw a punch at him, he could dodge it, but decided to have a little fun and decides to let the punch connect. Once the punch hits Spider-Man's face there is a crack and a scream of pain.

"AHHHHHH," the robber screams as he holds his now broken hand.

"What did you do," Kate asked as she observed the scene.

"I just let him punch me. Remember when I said anything you throw at me will just bounce right off? This is what I mean," Spider-Man said, he then walks up to the screaming bank robber, "Ok buddy, we get it, your hand hurts. Don't worry the medics will have you all fixed up in jail. Until then goodnight," Spider-Man then flicked the robber on the forehead throwing him five feet knocking him out.

"Did you just do that to impress me," Kate asked as she walked up to Spider-Man having taken care of her group.

"Maybe. Did it work," Spider-Man asked

Kate smiled, "A little," she responded, the two then turned toward the last two robbers, the boss and safe cracker, both looking at the heroes in fear, but in the boss's case a mix of anger.

"Ok guys, you honestly have two choices here. Either come quietly and you go to jail in complete health," Spider-Man said

"Or resist us and you'll be going to jail in a lot of pain, humiliation, and anguish," Kate finished

"That got brutal fast," Spider-Man said getting a shrug from Kate.

"Hey, I know you're not one for intimidation, but you just have to put the fear of god in these guys sometimes. Makes them do what you say quicker. I mean look at that guy," Kate said motioning towards the safe cracker, "Ten bucks says that he cracks first."

"Pun intended," Spidey asked

"But of course," Kate responded while smirking.

"I give the safe cracker ten seconds and after that the boss will start firing at us in anger," Spidey said

"No way, with how angry that guy looks, he's gonna fire at us first then after we take him down the safe cracker will surrender," Kate said

"Wanna bet," Spider-Man asked

Kate smirked, "You'll lose," she said

"I'll take my chances," Spider-Man said

"Ok, if you're right I'll do what every you want 'whatever you want'," Kate said suggestively

"You realize by saying that I could name anything right, and you'd have to do it," Spider-Man said getting a shrug in return.

"It won't matter because I'm gonna win. Speaking of, if I win, then our second date will be us watching episodes one, two, and three of Star Wars, then date number three will be episodes 4, 5, and 6," Kate said

"That is very mean," Spider-Man said

"Just like you're gonna try and change my opinion on New York style pizza, I am gonna change your opinion of Star War," Kate said

"But I don't like Star Wars," Spider-Man said

"Well, if you're so sure that you'll win you have nothing to worry about, unless you're not as confident and you're…gasp…scared," Kate said

"I am not scared, you have a deal," Spider-Man said making Kate smile.

"Good," Kate said

"By the way what is taking so long anyway," Spider-Man asked wondering why the two robbers aren't acting now.

"Petrified by fear," Kate said pointing at the shaking safe cracker, she then points at the boss, "To deep in his angry thoughts," Kate said as they looked at the anger on the boss's face, "He's probably thinking how much he wants to kill us and how he'd do it." Finally, the boss's anger gets the better of him and he points his gun at the two heroes getting ready to pull the trigger, "Well would you look at that, looks like I win," Kate then throws a gloating smirk at Spider-Man.

"Ah dammit," Spider-Man said as the boss then fires at the two heroes who immediately evade the bullets, Spider-Man by jumping in the air and Kate by using her powers. Once Spider-Man lands he shoots a web at the boss's gun pulling it out of his hand, he then shoots a web at the boss himself and throws him in Kate's direction who kicks the boss right the face shattering his nose and knocking him out. After that the two look at the safe cracker who immediately drops everything.

"I GIVE UP," the safe cracker said with his hands raised.

"Ah dammit," Spider-Man said as he webbed the safe cracker up making sure that he doesn't go anywhere as Kate throws him a victorious smirk. The two then casually walks out of the bank while Spider-Man webs up all the bank robbers on the way.

As the two exit the bank Kate speaks, "Well, I win. You know what that means?"

"Yeah, yeah, you know, no one likes a sore winner," Spider-Man said making Kate laugh suddenly the two see two figures coming their way, one they can see is a man made of ice, and the other is a woman wearing a yellow suit surrounded by an aura. "Well would you look at this," Spider-Man said as two of his Amazing Friends approached them, "Took you guys long enough to get here," he quipped

"Hey, we just heard about the robbery, and we were on the other side of the city. Give us a break," Iceman said

"What are you doing in your Spider-Man suit? Didn't we tell you no Spider-Manning tonight," Firestar said

"Yes, you did, and I have a perfectly good explanation for that," Spider-Man said, he then pointed his thumb at Kate, "It's her fault."

"Hey," Kate exclaimed putting her hands on her hips as she playfully glared at Spider-Man with a smirk.

"We heard the bank alarm go off, and she immediately was ready to jump right in. I told her that you guys had it under control, but you know what she didn't believe me. She has such a lack of faith in you Bobby, it's staggering," Spider-Man said, "She went in the bank all by herself and would you know it, Rhino was there, she put up a good fight but sadly it wasn't enough. I then knew that even if it meant breaking your rules, Firestar, that I couldn't leave her alone. So being the gallant hero I am, I put on my suit and saved the day," Spider-Man explained getting a disbelieving look from Angelica, making Bobby nearly fall over laughing at the made-up story, and an elbow from Kate.

"That is not what happened you jerk," Kate said but she wasn't offended, she was smiling because despite him painting her as a damsel which she will get back at him for later, it was an amusing story. "We were talking when we heard the alarm go off. When we looked, we saw a group of robbers breaking into the bank, seeing this I decided that we needed to jump in and asked if he was going. He did mention that you told him no Spider-Manning tonight so he could focus on the date, but then he said that considering that I was going that he'd just blame me. After that he got changed and we entered the bank, we took out the robbers, they're now wrapped up in webbing, most of them knocked out, after that we left and ran into you guys. We actually just finished taking them down like five minutes ago," Kate explained the true story giving Spider-Man a mock glare making him shrug, his story was better and more entertaining.

"That makes more sense," Firestar said

"I should probably get changed, be right back," Spider-Man said as he then walked off, heading to the alley where he left his clothes.

"I'll go check on those robbers until the police arrive," Firestar said

"Be there in a few," Bobby said as Firestar flew to the bank. Now that they are alone Bobby looks at Kate and smirks, "Well," Bobby asked

"Well, what," Kate asked pretending not to know what he's asking.

"What do you think," Bobby asked

"About," Kate asked making Bobby roll his eyes.

"You know what about. Peter. What do you think about Peter," Bobby asked

"Oh, him. he's a good guy," Kate responded trying to act nonchalant about it but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't keep herself from smiling as she thought of him.

Bobby saw the smile and recognized it immediately, "You like him don't you," Bobby asked smugly.

Kate sighed, she knew that Bobby wasn't gonna let her live this down, and if he's like to Peter as he is to her then he won't be letting Peter live this down either, but she has to admit, that Bobby was right. "Yes, I like him, and you better shut up about it," she warned as she saw a smirk appearing on Bobby's face, "We actually decided to go on a second date," she informed

"Ha, I knew you two would hit it off, ever since that second Spider-Man mentioned you two together in his dimension I knew you'd work," Bobby said

"Peter told me that they may have broken up," Kate said

"They were kids, you two are adults, I'm sure that whatever happened between them won't happen to you," Bobby said

"What makes you so certain," Kate asked

Bobby shrugged, "I know you two, you two are some of my best friends, you're two of the most understanding people I've met. You wouldn't make an accusation or decision without the proper information, at least when it comes to something like this. You also both care about people and I know with time the two of you will truly be inseparable, you'll become the ultimate team," he explained

"Maybe," Kate said, she isn't sure about that, perhaps one day. But right now, her and Peter are still new to each other, they have a ways to go before they can claim to be the ultimate team, but she has to admit she is looking forward to getting to know him more. Kate is shaken from her thoughts when Peter arrives with his clothes on.

"Well, I'm ready," Peter said as he approached the two Marauders, he then looks at Bobby, "Try to be faster next time, heh icepick," he quips making Kate giggle at the jab.

"Whatever you say Spiderman," Bobby said, leaving out the hyphen on purpose.

"I know you left out the hyphen Jack Frost," Peter said

"I don't know what you're talking about," Iceman said sarcastically.

When Peter was about to retort he was interrupted by Firestar, "Hey dumb and dumber, how about you let dumb get back to his date. Dumber get over here and help me watch these guys," Firestar said making the three heroes look at her. Peter and Iceman in shock and Kate with a smile, she likes Firestar, maybe she should have put more effort into befriending her. Well now that she may be dating Peter, she'll definitely put in more effort this time around.

"Well guys I better go before hot stuff over there melts me," Bobby said, he waves at his friends, then he turns around and heads toward Firestar all the while yelling, "How come I'm dumber?!"

Peter and Kate watch as Iceman and Firestar head in the bank to wait for the cops. The two brunettes look at each other and smiled, "So, what do you want to do now," Peter asked

"I wouldn't mind walking some more," Kate suggested

"Alright, let's go," Peter said, they then continued on with their walking talking about anything that came to their minds. It really amazed the two with how much they could talk about, even mentioning the littlest thing can turn into a full-on discussion between them. It felt like they were only talking for twenty minutes, but when they checked the time, it had been two hours. Time really does fly when you're in good company. In the end they decided that it was time to call it a night and Peter walks Kate to the Krakoan gate where she will meet her friend Illyana to pick her up. Finally, they arrive, and Kate has them stop twenty feet from the Krakoan gate. "Is there a reason why we're not closer to the gate," Peter questioned as he and Kate faced each other.

"My friend Illyana is meeting me; she isn't the most hospitable person when it comes to new people. I'd like to keep her from scaring you away," Kate explained jokingly.

"Well thank you for your concern," Peter said

"Hey if this is gonna turn into something I gotta keep you alive, at least long enough to see what happens," Kate said making Peter laugh. "This really has turned out to be a great night," she said

"Yeah, it really has, hopefully with more to come," Peter said

"Hopefully," Kate agreed, "That being said, if we're gonna set up future dates, it would be better that we don't use Bobby as a communication line," Kate said

"Agreed, he'd just interfere with the date. We should exchange numbers then," Peter said as he and Kate took out their phones and handed them to each other, putting their numbers in the other's phone. After they exchanged numbers, they gave back their phones.

"There, now no one can eavesdrop or snoop on us," Kate said

"That's a relief," Peter said

"You know, my statement still stands," Kate said getting a questioning look from Peter, "I'm not the type of girl who kisses a guy on a girl date," she clarifies with a smirk as she takes a step closer to Peter.

"Oh," Peter said in realization, "Well, my statement still stands as well. I can respect that, and I'm not the type of guy who kisses a girl on a first date," he said as he takes a step closer to Kate.

"But," Kate said as she wraps her arms around Peter's neck.

"But I really want to kiss you right now," Peter said as he wraps his arms around Kate's waist.

"Well guess what? I want to kiss you too," Kate said with a smile, with that the two lean toward each other, as they get closer both of their hearts are beating faster and faster, right when their lips are about to touch Kate diverts hers and kissed Peter on the corner of his mouth, she then phases out of his grasp and looks at him with a mischievous smirk.

It takes a moment for Peter to realize what happened, "Wha, hey," Peter said indignantly making Kate laugh, "You did that on purpose," Peter said narrowing his eyes at Kate.

Kate just threw Peter her mischievous smirk, "That's what you get for blaming me and telling that story. No one paints Kate Pryde as a damsel, no one," she said

"That's really mean," Peter said making Kate chuckle.

"It's too bad too, because before the bank robbery, I was really gonna let you kiss me, but considering you told that story, I have revoke that kiss. Now you're just gonna have to earn it the old fashion way," Kate said

Peter smiled, "If you think that's gonna discourage me, you better think again. I'm not the type of guy to shy away from hard work," he said

"That's good, because you're gonna have to work really hard if you want to kiss me," Kate said as she smiled.

"I look forward to it," Peter said

"So do I," Kate said just then they hear a noise, they turn to where it is and sees Illyana arrive via her portals. "Well, there's my ride," Kate said, she then walks up to Peter and kisses him on the cheek, "I really did have a great time tonight."

"So, did I, I'll call you so we can set up the next one," Peter said

"I'll be waiting. Bye," Kate said as she started to walk away.

"Bye," Peter said as he watched Kate go, he watches as she approaches Illyana and hugs her friend, Illyana then prepares to set up a portal, but before that Kate turns her head, looks at Peter, smiles, and then waves which he returns. Kate and Illyana then disappear from Peter's view, heading to Krakoa. Peter sighs and then he smiles, he then turns around and walks to his apartment, his mood brighter than it has been in quite a long time.

Krakoa, Red Keep

Kate enters her room in the Red Keep, she hadn't run into anyone so far which she was glad about, after tonight she just wanted to lay down in bed and contemplate what had happened. With that thought Kate heads to her bed and lays down in it. She really did have a good time tonight, she can't remember the last time she had that much fun, and she didn't even think about picking up a drink the entire time. How could she? She was too busy talking and laughing. Kate smiled, she couldn't believe that this happened, Bobby's stupid idea actually worked and now she just may have herself a boyfriend, well there goes her plans on trying to date a girl for a change. Oh well, it doesn't matter, Kate's looking forward to their second date, she knows that she said that she'd make him work for her kiss, but she's definitely gonna kiss him then. She can't wait till that day comes. Kate sighs as she looks at the ceiling, suddenly she feels a presence in her head.

"Kate, do you hear me," Emma said

"I'm here Emma what's going on," Kate answered

"Some Russian mutants are having trouble reaching Krakoa, the Marauders are needed," Emma informed

Kate sighed, "Back to work," she said as she got up and changed into her Red Queen uniform, "I'm on my way," Kate said as she put on her coat, "A queen's job is never done," Kate said as she walked out of her room and headed to the Marauder to meet with her crew.
