It was quiet in Liam's room. Lori stared at her phone. Not because of the texts from her boyfriend. But looking at the time as her and the boys were waiting for Dodger's return.

'Come on, Dodger. Where are you?'

"He'll be back."

Lori lifted her head to look to see Liam, who smiled at her. Clyde and Lincoln joined in at staring at him.

"We saw him transform into a superhero, blasting the bad cows away and save us. Of course, he's going to be fine. Heroes always come back."

The Older Loud Sister tries to avoid eye contact with the farm kid. She hoped he was right. But her worry thoughts got the better of her.

A sudden crash startled everyone. They ran all the downstairs to the living room, dust covering the air.

"You three stay on the steps" ordered Lori, slowly making her way to the couch.

Waving the dust away from her eyes, a gasp came out of her mouth. She went over to a rocking chair and grabbed a blanket. Heading back to the couch, she laid it down.

"L-Lori, what are you doing?" Clyde asked. She glanced at him, which made his heart skip a beat and place her index finger on her lips.

"He's okay. Go to bed. I'll watch him. Okay?"

"He fell from the roof?" asked Liam, but Lincoln pushed him up the stairs.

When the sound of the door closing enter her ears, Lori pressed her ears on Dodger's chest. His heart was still beating from the fall, whatever feet from the sky. The breathing was shallow, which was a worry. Hope he was just winded from the battle.

She lean closer to his left ear.

"I hope you know that you saved us, Dodger. Thank you."

Lori sat on the sofa across from the resting Dodger, looking up at the big hole on the roof, sighing at it.

"We got a lot of explaining to do."

Closing her eyes, she drifted off to sleep, hoping to see Dodger tomorrow up and better.

It was Sunday. The day that Mr. Hunnicutt return from the convention.

Yesterday, the boys and Lori checked on Dodger when they woke up. He didn't wake up. His breathing was better and didn't want to wake him by force.

Since he was out, Liam didn't want to go to the Amoosement Park and take care of the chores. Lincoln and Clyde decide to stay and help out their friend. Lori joined in as well.

They all slept in the living room with the Babysitter going to the next day so he wouldn't be alone.

The boys begin to stir up when a delicious scent enter their nose.

"Is time already?" Clyde asked, stretching his arms.

"Time for what?" questioned Lincoln.

"For school?"

"No" answered Liam. "It's Sunday."

The boys got up on their feet, following the smelly trail to the kitchen. They saw who was the person who woke them up.

"Good morning Lori" they said in unison. "Good morning Dodger."

It took three seconds for the kids to realize what they said and who they saw to turn around and look at the person who placed a pancake on a plate.

"Dodger!" They said in unison, smiling from ear to ear.

"Hey guys" He said, feeling a little weak but manage to go down and hug the boys. "I'm glad y'all are okay."

"Us? We were worried about you" Liam told him. "You didn't wake up yesterday. All day."

"Damn. I was out that long?" Dodger asked. "I still feel tired, but that's due to hunger."

Lori stood up from the corner of the table, went over and joined the hug. "Hey boys. I'm hungry. So let's eat."

Dodger's POV

After breakfast, I took care of the damages on the house. When Mr. Hunnicutt return home, I explained what happened and said that the repairs was on me.

I didn't mention on the invasion of alien cows to him. He would've thought that I was taking drugs. As much as I want to tell the truth, humans need proof and even when the truth is right in front of their eyes, they can't handle it.

I said my goodbyes to the Hunnicutts and made my way to my car. Even though the issue with the roof, I was paid $500. I gave the farmers a slight smile and waved bye to them.

I saw Lori in a car of her own with Lincoln and Clyde in the back seat. She rolled down the window. "Dodger, you didn't have to take the fall."

"Well, I did fall from through it. It's not hard to believe that an oxygen tank flew out of my control and land in the house."

"Yeah. Are you going to be okay?"

"I will be. Can't stop a working man. Got a lot of work to do. Thanks for looking after me. I'm sorry that you guys didn't go to Dairyland."

"We couldn't leave you by yourself without knowing you would be okay. I thought about taking you to the hospital."

I give Lori a smile. I woke up this morning and it felt like my body didn't want to get up like I didn't have energy. Maybe I was out for a whole for the dragon powers to settle in. Something to ask Bianca about when I'm alone.

"Don't worry. Maybe I can you to Dairyland when I have free time."

The back seat window roll down and Clyde stared at me. "She has a boyfriend, Sir."

"Thanks, I know. Y'all take care."

They say goodbye as I got in my car. After exiting out the driveway and be on the road, I decide to speak with the lady in my head.

"Bianca?"

'Hi Dodger. Sorry for being gone. I'm having problems in my realm. I'm glad you're okay. The powers took you out.'

"Yes it did. I hope it's not because of sending the Runes to my planet?"

She stayed quiet for a moment, answering my question.

"I have a business motto, Bianca. Do the best that you can. It means you put all of your effort in your job. I may not be the person you wanted to find these powers. But I will do my best to help you find the rest of them before whatever evil captures them."

'What about joining them like the Empire?'

"It was only to protect the kids. When I saw Lori ready to sacrifice herself for the safety of her brother and his friends, I saw myself doing that if my family was involved in that situation. That's when I snapped and the powers felt that fears and maybe shot out of me."

'You had me worried, Dodger. But, I understand. Thank you.'

"You're welcome, Bianca."

After recently turning 18, I gain superpowers from a different world and saved some kids as well as the world. I don't know if I can be the hero the world needs.

But I can damn well try.

Dodger: Certified Hero (in Training)
Episode 1: Close Encounter of the Bolvine

Outer Space

"Commander Halx, you've failed to bring in the Lightning Rune from Earth and successfully made us look terrible!" A booming female voice told the cow in the only light in room.

The Commander was knelt down on the floor, his head down and looking at the floor.

"It was a simple mission on a planet full of nimrods! How does one with your intellect fail?!"

"A human found the Rune and capture the powers. He used on us" explained Halx.

It was silent for a little bit before the lady spoke again. "It can't be. How can a idiotic species such as a human use dragon magic? This changes everything."

A thought appear in the head of the Commander's head. A plan. The perfect plan. 'She has to love this. It's amazing.

"Mum, if I may tell on a plan that has occur in my head?"

"For you to make us look bad than we already do. He wants our head for your failure!" She told him with such anger in her voice.

"He would have to retrieve the other three Runes. If he does it, he would have to go to the Dragon Realm. He'll have to leave his planet."

"You want this human to get all the Runes and leave his home planet for you to get your revenge?" She asked.

"No, Mum" said Halx, lifting his head to look into the darkness. "We can conquer two planets. The Dragon Realms and Earth. He would have to pick one. No amount of power he has to save both."

Another gap of silence and the voice return. "Okay, Commander Halx. We'll play this game. But you know he won't like this plan."

A smile appear on the face of the Commander. "We're not the only ones who plan on treachery on the small wizard. But I will avenge us, Mum. I will not be defeated by that wretched Human again!"

"Don't make promises you can't keep, Halx."
