Forgotten Realms, Dragon Realms

Zoe received news on Cloud 9 and flew as fast as her fairy wings can to Bianca's room. Entering the room, she rushed to the Sorceress who was on the floor.

"Bianca. Bianca."

"I'm...okay. Used my magic" She told Zoe.

Zoe shook her head, helping the Rabbit up to her bed. "Your magic hasn't returned from sending the Dragon Runes away. I told you not to use any more spells tell you've recovered."

"Sorry, Zoe. But I had to stop Lyn. She traveled into the human universe and attacked someone."

"Was it...Dodger?" She ask with a hesitant in her voice.

Slowly nodding, Bianca answered while holding her head. "Yes. I sent the two to Cloud 9. But I won't be able to talk to him or go to that world."

"That's why I'm here, Bianca. The portal to Cloud 9 has been closed as Ripto's monster is quickly taken over it the place. Before it was closed, 3 people were teleported there."

"Dodger and Lyn are there. Hopefully, they can take back the dream world and protect the Dragon Rune there. I believe in h- Zoe, did you say three?"

Cloud 9, Dragon Realms

Dodger asked the Teddy Bear that greeted him when he arrived to take Frankie to a safe place while he and Lyn continued to call him her husband.

"How the hell you come to my planet, try to kill me, I punch your lights out and now, you like me?" He asked the Goddess.

Lyn shoved his left shoulder playfully. "I am a Goddess. It's not often that a mortal knocks out a Goddess. A Goddess of Lightning nonetheless. Now, I'm your powerful wife. The two of us conquering evil. Isn't that a dream?

'Imagine that. My wife is electrifying Goddess' he thought. But in his heart, it was a different feeling. "I can't be your husband, Lyn because I beat you up. It's wrong. Very wrong."

"Why not, Mortal?!" Her eyes all yellow with bolts sparking out.

"Because that's abuse. Especially where I come. Plus, all we have in common is that we know Bianca and have electric powers. Do I need to tell you about being mortal. You live long. I don't."

Lyn was about to speak, but a growl interrupt their conversation. Dodger point out a spotlight on the far left and right from large area.

"Those can light up the hourglass. Pudgy told me that it's possible to go and retrieve the Dragon Rune. You take the left. I take the right."

"You better be safe, Husband" The Goddess kiss him in the face, the left cheek.

Dodger's cheek burn from blushing. "Um...nevermind. good luck."

The two went their separate ways. Lyn flew high to the spotlight that was occupied by the same monster that she tackled early.

"Looking to go another round, huh?"

The Demon Creature leaped at her, opening wide its big mouth. She slide out the way, get up and wrap her muscular arms around it's waist. She lift the beast, performing a German Suplex, slamming it down, neck first.

Dodger flew on a trail made of a rainbow. "An exactly rainbow road. This place is wonderful."

The Hero follow the road, whistling a tune. Approaching the spotlight, he stop as something enters his ears. It was faint.

"Dodgy."

His heart dropped at the familiar voice. "Biscuit? Biscuit!"

In front of him was his former house, Dodger rushed to the door and enter, calling for his little sister. "Biscuit! Biscuit, where are you?!"

A woman wearing a dress that showed off her figure, rush into the door with a hammer in her hand.

"Who the fuck is you?!"

Staring at her, he notice the face of the lady. "M-Mom?"

"Mom? I ain't your mother, boy. Why are you breaking into my house?"

"It's me, Dodger. Official Unofficial Son. Biscuit was calling me."

She raised an eyebrow. "Biscuit? You're crazy!"

Dodger was confused on the situation. This was the same home he left. What happened? "This is the Fayetteville Foster Home. You and your husband create it to help children. You two helped me. There's 2 other kids. Brenda and DeeJay."

Velvet rolled her eyes. "Dillion sent you? Listen kid, I don't want him, ever again. I moved on! Now, get out of my house."

Raising the hammer, Dodger quickly ran out of the house, almost tripping on the steps. He caught his breath. "What the hell is going on? It hasn't been a month since I left. What happened?"

Opening the door, he look to what use to be his mother point the tool at him. "Plus, I would never name you as that bumass LA team. Go Padres!"

With that, she slam the door.

'Something ain't right. They were a happy couple. They fight here and there. But they get through it. I don't know what I walked into. I gotta find dad.

There's is one place he may be and I don't think I'll like it.

Arriving at the third spotlight, Lyn electrify the three pongs. Just like the two spotlights she got to work, she watch the light rose up and shoot a red beam at the big hourglass.

"He should've been here by now?" Lyn said, referring to Dodger.

"Lyn?"

The Goddess looks below to see Frankie who call her name and Pudgy at a entry to the room that goes to upper level of Cloud 9. "Where's Dodger? I thought you two would be done."

"He must be in trouble. I'm going to him. Go ahead to the Palace. We'll be there soon."

"Okay" the Human said, following the Teddy Bear.

Lyn flew in the sky, heading towards the spotlight Dodger was lighting up. Something wasn't right.

While going through the tunnel, Frankie decides to ask the pondering question. "Hey Pudgy, right? Where are we going?"

"We're going to the Puffy Palace. We're hiding a special artifact that The Nightmare is searching for. We can hide there while other people braver than me save our world."

Turning the corner, the Human and Bear gasp at the sight of the hallway. There were Teddy Bears laid out of the floor.

Taking a closer look, Frankie saw their open eyes that were black. "Oh my god. What happen to them?"

"The power of The Nightmare. That long claw puts his victims in a deep sleep. It's one of the reasons why us and some parts of the world have nightmares that keep them up all night" Pudgy explained.

The Redhead rub her shoulders, a cold chill run on her spine. The Monster from her dreams that is real and in front of her eyes earlier.

"What do we have to do?"

A sigh seep out of the Bear's mouth. "I don't know. Either they free themselves from the dream or..."

A gulp from Frankie broke the silence. "Die. But, what about if that Nightmare guy is dead?"

"Perhaps they wake up. Come on, we gotta go before he shows up.

Something wasn't right as Dodger walked in the streets of Carlson. He stop in front of a bar where he can see the person he was searching for chugging down a glass of beer.

"Oh no. I gotta stop this."

Entering the bar, Dodger received looks from everyone who are legal to drink. He quickly sat next to his Official Unofficial foster dad who was looking uneasy.

Dillion looked at the kid, then back to the empty glass. "Go away."

"I'm sorry. This going to sound crazy, but my name is Dodger. I guess you had a relationship with Vel-"

Dillon grabs Dodger by the neck, tightening the fingers. He pulled the kid to his face, The smell of alcohol from his mouth entering the nose. "Don't you dare say that name."

"But what happened? I-I can't believe that you two are not together" Dodger said under a quick breath.

Dillion feeling eyes on him, he put the boy down on the floor. Tears welp up on his eyes. "Why are you here? To bring back memories of a time that doesn't exist! She doesn't want me!"

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry. I didn't know. Please tell me" Dodger stood on his knees, his heart tearing slowly. "What about Barbara? Is she okay?"

"B-Barbara?" The tall man whispered, staring at the empty glass that held what was his fifth glass of beer of the day. It was like he was caught in a daze.

"Please...please tell me" Dodger feeling light-headed. Babs had to be okay. She has to be.

"My baby girl. She...doesn't exist."

There it was. His heart. Ripped apart. Both men felt numb and heartbroken. For the Young Adult, it's a pain that just happened. For Dillion, a wound ripped open once again. A nightmare that won't go away.

No matter how many years or how many therapists he seen. "She was in my arms. My beautiful baby girl. Taken away."

The Man grab Dodger who was crying, picking him up. "LEAVE ME ALONE!"

He toss the Kid through bar window, breaking it. Dodger rolled in the middle of the street, not caring that a car can hit him. No mother. No father. Biscuit. DeeJay. Babs.

Whatever happened when he was gone, he didn't like it. His family. The family he grew up with and made great memories. They were gone.

"Why? Why?"

"My, my" a voice said, echoing in the boy's head. "Look at our hero. Laying there, looking like a bitch."

Dodger ignored the voice as he stay on the ground. His body moved on it's own, moving his head to a new view.

His heart has been through the ringer. There was no stop to it at this sight.
