Jack glanced upwards and frowned. "What happened to the blue sky?"

"I'd imagine it's still there; you just can't see it because of the clouds," Ianto replied.

"But it was a lovely day when I was out earlier, and now look at it!"

"How long have you lived in Cardiff? You should know by now we get clouds more often than we get blue skies and sunshine, especially in winter."

"But if I'd known it was going to be like this, I wouldn't have suggested going out for lunch! What if it rains?"

Ianto gave an exasperated sigh. "That would be why I brought my umbrella with me. Very useful things, umbrellas. Ideal for days when it might rain."

"Haha, very funny." Jack scowled at his lover.

"I'm not the only one who owns an umbrella, you know. You could have brought yours with you."

"I didn't think I'd need it!"

"You could be right, just because the sky's turned cloudy doesn't guarantee we'll get rain, but I prefer not to take unnecessary chances with the weather. It pays to be prepared."

Jack pouted. "I was looking forward to a nice stroll in the winter sunshine."

"Better luck next time."
