AN: I know Izuku's scores in the Quirk assessment test might seem odd, but I have a reason for them. I'll put the explanation at the bottom of the chapter for those who want to read it.

Assassination Hero

Chapter 2

-Izuku-

Hands in his pockets, Izuku silently walked toward Class 1A, having already split off from his friends from the Assassination Classroom. He kept a simple easy stride as he weaved in between various students on the route, practicing one of his 'Assassin Specialty skills' that he and the others such as Nagisa and Karma had developed over their time being trained by Koro-Sensei.

Karma, to everyone's surprise, had an incredible ability to hide just how dangerous he was. Karma, despite being the most sadistic of the Assassination Classroom, was one of the best at hiding his intentions when he wanted to. He could walk right up to a target, and they'd never once feel threatened till he wanted them to.

Nagisa went the opposite route, honing his immense bloodlust to the point he could actually freeze those he targeted in place. The little bluenette could make a grown man wet himself in fear all with a cherubic smile on his face.

Meanwhile, Izuku had weaponized his 'plain face' that so many people had commented on before. Working to essentially mask his presence and walk among people unnoticed and unseen. So far, nobody had even glanced his way as he entered the classroom with a large 1A painted on the door.

Keeping his irritation at seeing Bakugo and the boy with the engine legs in this class, he slipped past them and took a desk in the back corner. One by one, the rest of the class filed in, taking the various open seats, and not sparing a second glance his way, let alone noticing the distinct yellow crescent moon that stood out on his school tie, something everyone from the Assassination classroom had added to their uniform with Nezu's permission.

"If you're just going to spend your entire time arguing, then go home." An exhausted voice spoke up from the doorway as Izuku glanced over, spotting a man in dark clothes with black bags under his eyes. The man's eyes flit over each desk, noticing Izuku despite him doing his best to remain unnoticed but the teacher didn't comment on it, "I'm Shota Aizawa, your Homeroom teacher…assuming you remain in the Hero track that is."

"What are you talking about?!" a midget with purple balls for hair shouted, looking close to crying.

"This is the Hero Track for UA." Aizawa gave an unimpressed stare, eyes glowing red, "The top Hero school in the country and one of the best in the world. I don't care if you got through some simple test about breaking robots. If I feel you aren't putting in the effort, that you'd just kill yourself out in the field, then I'll kick you down to General education without hesitation." The tension in the room was palpable as Izuku calmly met his teacher's gaze. This pressure was nowhere near being told that the fate of the world rested in his hands to murder his sensei.

"For now, take these uniforms." Aizawa placed a bag on his desk, "There's a locker room at the end of this hall by the doors to the field outside. Get changed and meet me there immediately. We'll be doing a quirk assessment test."

"A what test?" the engine legged bluenette gaped, chopping the air robotically "But what about orientation?!"

"Orientation is a waste of time." Aizawa scoffed, "Now, get moving, clock's ticking." With that, the man who Izuku was positive was the underground Hero Eraserhead walked out the door. Following behind his confused classmates, Izuku got his uniform and went to the locker room to get dressed, continuing to observe the others as they still failed to notice him.

Reaching the field, Izuku stood silently as he waited for their teacher to begin. He didn't have a quirk so he knew this test would be a fight for his right to stay in the hero track. Seeing the various areas set up, he had to restrain from smirking. The standard fitness test exercises, perfect. Much like Karasuma, Izuku had pushed his body beyond the limits of a normal person for his age. His classmates had more than once wondered if he and their government handler were actually quirkless and not superhuman.

"Today, you'll be doing the eight standard fitness tests that you should have gone through in middle school." Aizawa spoke up, getting Izuku's attention forward, "Only today I expect you to go all out. To use everything in your arsenal. If you don't, if I feel you aren't putting in the effort, then you'll be kicked from the Hero course effective immediately." You could hear a pin drop as Izuku's classmates all gaped, too stunned to speak or protest "Izuku Midoriya." Izuku perked up, ignoring the sound of explosions from Bakugo's palms "You scored first in the entrance exam so you're going to be up first for each test."

"DEKU!" Bakugo snarled as Izuku stepped forward calmly, his classmates jolting as they finally noticed him, "How the hell did you get into UA you cheating fuck?! I know your quirkless ass couldn't beat my score!" Izuku kept his face blank as he stared down Bakugo, others in the class whispering amongst themselves in surprise at him and the explosive Pomeranian knowing each other or wondering if the statement of Izuku being quirkless was true.

"Enough!" Aizawa barked as the whispers and explosions died instantly, "Yes, Midoriya is quirkless. However, he trained hard, pushing himself to the limit, and earned his first-place ranking." And hadn't that been a surprise when his letter came in. Forty villain points and forty-six rescue ones, placing him at eighty-six, almost ten points above Bakugo's total score.

"You wanted me to go up first, right sir?" Izuku asked, undoing his track top and trying it around his waist, the white t-shirt he had underneath straining from the muscles that Koro-Sensei and Karasuma had helped him cultivate. The disbelief became stunned silence when they saw the extent that he was built compared to the rest of them.

"That's correct." Aizawa nodded with a smirk, "Despite being quirkless you've still pushed yourself. You'll show an excellent base line for what proper training can do even without a quirk to aide one's self. I spoke to Karasuma by the way so I know full well what you're capable of." The unspoken 'don't hold back' was understood easily enough.

"Of course, sir." Izuku took an offered softball as he tossed it up in the air before catching it a few times, getting a feel for the weight.

"Hurry up and get this farce over with you useless Dek-" Bakugo's taunt was cut off as Izuku gave a yell, hurling the ball with all his strength as it flew.

"Two hundred and thirteen meters." Aizawa commented once the ball landed.

"Are we sure he's quirkless?!" one of his classmates with unusually shaped elbows gaped.

"Given his trainer commented that Midoriya was able to run over a mile uphill with more than five hundred pounds being carried early in his training, I'm not surprised." Aizawa scoffed, "Human evolution did not just stop at quirks. The body can be pushed beyond the limits most people think of. Sadly, very few actually try and push them, wanting to rely on quirks alone. Midoriya, Fifty-meter dash, go!"

And so, he continued, pushing himself beyond normal human limits like he had seen Karasuma and heard of others such as the assassin Stain doing.

Fifty-meter dash? Completed in four point oh three seconds.

Grip strength? Four hundred and six kilograms.

Standing long jump? He cleared over half of the sand pit.

Repeated side steps for a minute? He got one hundred and sixty-two.

He was easily flexible enough to pass the seated toe touch.

For the sit-ups for one minute his score was one hundred and three.

And finally, for the distance run, when the others had finished their tests and joined him for that one, he was part of the last group still running when Aizawa called for them to stop.

He'd scored amongst the best for most of the tests, even coming in first for sit-ups and distance run. Izuku looked at the projected scores and grinned, seeing himself placed in the top five.

"Congratulations, nobody is going home today." Aizawa spoke up, ignoring Bakugo having an existential crisis at not coming in first, "But I expect this same level of effort every day from you all going forward, if not more. Your syllabi are waiting for you in your desks. Now, Midoriya, with me. Nezu has agreed to talk with you about your request so get changed and meet me by his office. Your syllabus should have a map."

"Yes sir." Izuku nodded and hurried off, quickly getting changed and grabbing his stuff before Bakugo could snap out of his funk and try and stop him. Reaching his teacher, he joined the tired looking underground Hero as they entered the office of the small rodent hero Nezu.

"Hello!" Nezu waved cheerfully, "Am I a mouse? A dog? A bear?"

"Albino stoat." Izuku answered without thinking, falling into his habit of analyzing those he came across.

"Oho, I like this one Shota." Nezu grinned eagerly at Izuku, apparently correctly, guessing what animal the chimera Headmaster primarily was.

"Midoriya, you said you had a request for us in your entrance paperwork?" Aizawa sighed, pushing to get things back on track.

"Yes, I know UA can file the paperwork to get Hero Names approved for students even before they get Provisional licenses." Izuku nodded, "And given that having the exact same name as another Hero isn't approved by the government, I wanted to get my chosen name registered early just in case."

"Oh, and what name is that?" Nezu steepled his paws, leaning forward curious with eyes that seemed just as intense as Koro-Sensei's had been.

"The Crescent Moon Hero: Korosenai." Izuku didn't miss a beat as he gave his answer, the name being one he'd workshopped with Koro-Sensei before the man's death.

"Crescent moon?" Aizawa glanced at his tie, "Related to your…prior home room teacher?"

"There's a lot you don't know about what happened." Izuku's voice grew cold before he glanced around. Koro-Sensei and Karasuma had both informed him of Principal Nezu's issues with the government and the Hero commission. Time to test those waters, "How secure is this room?"

The two pros clearly recognized this conversation was about to get serious, Nezu flipping a switch as the windows darkened, "Now it is completely secure."

"Then tell me, what do you know of the 'World Research Foundation' and the scientist Kotaro Yanagisawa?"

AN: About Izuku's scores. We know that people in the MHA universe can go beyond normal human limits. When being trained by All Might we saw him running up steep hills with All Might on his back who weighed over five hundred pounds. We saw Stain, who had no enhancement quirks, making absurd leaps through the air and cutting through Shoto's glaciers with a single swing of a rusted and chipped sword. This world clearly shows that the human body can be pushed beyond 'normal' limits. So, I took the world record for modern humans at the various tests I could find and had him do better than them.
