Greetings
Hello everyone, I hope I have surprised you with this new story from yours truly. I have been feeling burnout for the past few months with college assignments and uni life taking its toll on me. Orginally, Kinship of Frost was suppose to be a one shot but I figured that I separate it into two chapters so I can always revisit the story and add new chapters whenever I feel like it. This is not a series like Fraxinus Twins of Pallet, more like a spur of a moment desire to make some wholesome incest between Chongyun and Shenhe. I adored Shenhe's trailer and the way she checked Chongyun's temperature with her hands was- damn. I knew I have make a story about the overprotective aunt and the shota nephew together, because my ara-ara senses were tingling when I saw their interactions together. Hopefully we get more sweet wholesome interactions between them so I can twist the situation into something of my own perversion.
Honestly though, Chongyun was already one of my favourite characters in Genshin even before Shenhe's release. An exorcist that uses a claymore and cryo powers to decimate opponents who is also an introverted popsicle lover. So I hope I can pay tribute to my C5 Chongyun who is still chilling with his aunt in my teapot.
With a touch of frost and a swing of his blade, the young exorcist effortlessly decimated a group of hilichurl shooters that stray too close to Liyue Harbor. With his presence now known to the rest of the monstrosity of a group, he steeled himself for a swift and merciless battle. He nimbly dodged the volley of stone shards from the samachurl chieftain and slashed two cross side attacks at the shaman before it could gave further orders to his cohorts. With the leader dispatched and slain, the rest of the group fell into an uncontrolled frenzy and began to attack him in an uncoordinated fashion.
"From whence you came!" Large spirit blades conjured in the essence of pure cryo slammed down the assailants from the skies above, eliminating the primitive monsters that grouped up together in a fit of rage. The roars and disgruntled cries of battle were swiftly silenced in a moment's notice, such were the feat of those who bear the power of a vision that made them so revered and feared. The young man gave out a sigh at the one sided bloodbath and waved his hands in the air, dispelling the spirit blade that plunge to the ground that left the bloody and tattered corpses of his foes lying lifeless on the ground. The adrenaline rush from the short lived battle made his body hot and tense, so much so that it fueled his accursed popsicle addiction. He gave out a groaned in displeasure when he tried to reach his pockets for his seemingly limitless supply of popsicles, only to find that it had indeed ran out. He sighed dejectedly and whine about his inherent curse for the thousandth of time, wondering why the heavens have cursed him to this fate when the sound of multiple footfalls behind him soon alerted him. The sound of iron heels clacking against the smooth stone pavement indicated they were wearing steel plated armour, which was equipment the hilichurls lacked.
"Chongyun are you alright?" The exorcist turned to the man who called out to him and smiled pleasantly. Clad in their military attire and equipped with their sharp white tassels, the steadfast Millelith had finally arrived to the scene of the battle, or at least what's left of it.
"The Millelith? What are you all doing here?" The captain in charged ushered his men to inspect the corpses, reassessing the fact they were indeed dead. With his men surveying the lands to clear the surrounding areas, the earnest captain approach the young teenager and spoke in a urgent tone.
"We received reports from a passing merchants that a group of hilichurls are heading towards the harbor. We came here as soon as possible, are you alright?" The popsicle fanatic waved the captain's concerns off and sheathed his newly forged Akuoumaru claymore in his scabbard. Beneath the cheerful and innocent expression lies a battle-hardened teenager who had fought and won many battles under his belt. One would have doubt the feats and exploits of the young man but Chongyun's exorcism prowess is a household name in Liyue. None would had the audacity to question his power or his integrity as an exorcist.
"I'm fine good sirs, I was merely taking a jaunty stroll when I spotted them. I apologize for any destruction and public disorder I have caused." The captain let out a hearty laugh and chuckled at the young man's humble and chivalrous attitude. It certainly was a frightening contrast to the horrible bloodbath he had caused behind him, with the pile of hilichurl bodies laying on the ground with blood oozing from their severed limbs.
"There's no need to apologize, the people of Liyue are in your debt once again exorcist! Why don't you head back to the city and continue your stroll? My men and I would take care of the rest." The whispers of the soldiers conversing regarding the hilichurl's encroachment of Liyue was admittedly a concerning sight, but the cryo adept knew that the combined forces of the Qixing and Millelith are more than enough to curb the growing influence of lesser evils. The historical battle against Osial was the proof of that.
"You have my thanks and gratitude." With a bow and a hold fist salute that showed his martial art etiquette, the captain gave an amused sigh and slammed the end of his spears onto the beaten grounds.
"And you have ours." The ice blue haired teen finally took his leave and made his way towards the inner city of Liyue. Despite his many visits and trips to the grand harbor, he was still smitten and taken aback by the stunning view of the city. The nightlife of Liyue is arguably the most pretty and breathtaking sight for tourists and locals alike, and the young exorcist consider himself well traveled! Between his wonderlust mood and his desire to eat his popsicles again, Chongyun hastened his steps to Wanmin restaurant, a familiar restaurant that he grew accustomed to. A smile plastered on his face once the sight of a familiar middle aged man charming bewildered regulars came into his view.
"Hi Chef Mao, I'm here for my usual popsicle supply." The older man smiled and instantly shifted his attention and focus to the young man who was close friends with his daughter. Clad in his usual white hoodie and positive demeanor, the children of Liyue looked up to the courageous and gallant teenager who wield an unfaltering and unwavering spirit. Unfortunately for Chongyun, the overflowing yang energy in his body had also rendered him unable to control his emotions whenever he succumbs to overheating. The Master chef quickly steered the wok and fire away from the exorcist, ensuring that he does not accidentally cause the young man to go into a maniac induced state. He had just renovated his restaurant after all.
"Hey Chongyun! Xiangling and I were getting quite worried when you fail to show up yesterday for your suppose pick up." The young man rubbed his chin, was he suppose to pick up his frosty necessities yesterday? He thought more deeply before he placed his hand on his forehead and sighed, how can he forget and break a promise like that? Was he getting senile at such a young age?
"Ugh, I apologize for my tardiness, I would make sure it would never happen again." The chef roared out a laugh and pat the young man's shoulders through the kitchen counter. The young man was too uptight and rigid for his age!
"Haha no need to apologize, but you've been looking worse for wear lately. Want me to whip up a nice plate of Inazuman noodles? They are on the house!" Inazuman ramen are dipped in cold waters and rice vinegar, they are the perfect remedy in sweltering hot days but for Chongyun, that was a dish he could eat that on a daily basis. It is arguably one of his favourite meal to have through out long and arduous journeys.
"I appreciate your offer uncle but I'm fine, a little rest is all I need before I'm back to banishing evil spirits." The honest father raised his eyebrows before a sudden flash of memory came to mind. He snapped his fingers as one of his assistant chefs behind him chopped a bunch of chives with quick precisions and perfections.
"Speaking of spirits, that reminds me. Your auntie Shenhe just came by earlier today." Chongyun blinked before he finally registered what the man said. How did the Chef Mao knew Shenhe was his auntie? The only person he told was Xinqiu and- oh, he told everyone didn't he? Curse that flamboyant bookworm of a prankster.
"Aunt Shenhe? How is she? Is she okay? Does she look well? What did she ordered?-" The headchef was overwhelmed by the earnest and relentless assault of questions from the young man. He initially had he doubts that such a youthful and beautiful woman like Shenhe would be Chongyun's auntie, but comparing the scene with the adepti apprentice earlier today, his doubts were swiftly silenced by the sheer similarities they both share.
"Calm down, you two are honestly so alike. She came to my restaurant just to ask the same exact questions about you." Aunt Shenhe was worried about him? The young exorcist calmed himself and felt a pang of guilt striking his chivalrous heart. After their initial reunion, she had bluntly stated that the two of them would remain in contact, though that itself had yet to happen often. The occasional greeting in the streets were all they shared and Chongyun had spent not the time nor the effort to visit her after she valiantly saved her life from the ambush.
"I see, I haven't been visiting her." The chef noted the downcast look from the exorcist and nodded slowly. He prides himself for doing what's best for his daughter, even if it meant giving her permission to roam around the dangerous mountains of Liyue. It wasn't easy as the overprotective father in him began to object furiously, but ultimately Mao was happy that Xiangling is discovering new things and recipes every day, no matter how unconventional those recipes would be.
"You should, there's nothing more sacred or precious when it comes to family. Everyone is always busy with their own lives and livelihoods, but that shouldn't be an excuse for not spending quality time with them, even if its just for a little while." The Frozen Ardor sighed at his inability to communicate or socialize with his own aunt and nodded in guilt. He heard the tragic stories regarding Shenhe and as he delved deeper into her past and tragedies, it churned his heart and twisted his stomach in the worst ways possible. She suffered so much pain and sorrow, yet it was amazing to see she became this accomplished and skilled warrior that could strike fear into the most callous of evils. In a sense, Chongyun was proud and star-strucked that his aunt had earn the right and tittle of an adepti disciple.
"You're right Chef Mao, I would keep your words of wisdom in heart." With a clenched fist placed in front of his chest, the young man gave a firm nod to the jolly chef.
"Now you make me sound like a geezer." Chongyun merely let out a small chuckle at the displeased tone and deadpanned look from the respectable owner of Wanmin. The hearty chef loosened a smile before opening a small box filled with blue popsicles that are packed neatly together. With a huff of his strength, the chef took out the heavy bag of popsicles and grunted his way to Chongyun.
"Anyway, here is your popsicles." The exorcist effortlessly took the bag filled with condensed ice and popsicles into his arms. He waved his hands and began to conjure a mystical seal in front of him to transmute the packet of popsicles into a smaller container which allowed easy access and storage. Satisfied with the results, he placed the mini container into his pocket and took out a long awaited popsicle.
"Thank you Chef Mao, I look forward dining in your fine establishment whenever I can." The baffled chef and nearby customers stared at Chongyun with a bewildered expression, was this the power of a vision? They looked amongst each other and shrugged before going back to their usual dining session. The people of Tevyat have seen many bizarre and magical occurrences in their lifetime, this time was no exception.
Chongyun analyzed the map given by his dear friend with great interest and detail. The carefully marked locations and simple map legends were filled meticulously by the cartographer. He followed the beaten path of the mountains and ignore the sight of falling leaves from the lush trees surrounding him. The daylight that he once basked in is now gone, instead the rising full moon and the veil of darkness began to creep onto him. He narrowed his eyes and flinched lightly when the sound of the booming thunder met his eardrums.
'A storm is approaching, I should make haste to the mountains.' Normally it would be unwise for travelers to traverse the mountains at night, the lack of street lights and battered road signs makes it easy for people to get lost in the mountains. Evil spirits and monsters particularly take advantage of lone travelers in the gulf of darkness, so you would be a fool to not rest up for the night. However Chongyun is anything but conventional, and given his ability to freeze foes and ward off evil spirits with just his presence alone, the young exorcist was fairly confident that he would locate his aunt through his intuition and skills alone.
"If I'm not mistaken, Cloud Retainer's abode should be near the waterfalls of Mt Aocang." He hiked above the steep mountains and grassy hills, feeling the pleasant cool air of the night against his skin. The crisp and fresh air of the mountains are truly the remedy for the soul, the picturesque view of the distant mountains that were barely visible and fertile lands below provided Chongyun much solace and comfort in his lonesome quest to find his aunt. The sudden longingness to see his aunt Shenhe had only increased with every step he takes, as the quiet night sky echoed how isolated and alone he was, perhaps deep down he also long for the presence of a family member after months of solitude and travel.
A shadow from above quickly alerted the exorcist as he assume a combative stance. The sound of wings flapping presumed that he was fighting an airborne foe, but before he could ready his blade and conjure a layer of frost to shaped the environment and battlefield to his favour, the clear visual whom he is fighting quickly calmed him down. He sighed at his own paranoid nature and released his grip on the handle of his blade. Had he acted more brash, he was certain he would be dead. The flying figure landed on a giant boulder, its towering presence instill a sense of fear and authority to those who stood before her.
"One is surprised to find a child roaming around these mountains, especially at night." The adeptus from above greeted the young exorcist with a hint of amusement in her voice. She eyed the young child before her and noted how similar he was to her own disciple, always ready for conflict despite their ice cold composure. His well-kept appearance, boyish looks and slender stature were indeed contradictory to the large claymore he wields.
"Cloud Retainer." With a customary bow and greeting to Liyue's guardian, Chongyun had the utmost respect to the adepti that had safeguard Liyue since its very inception. The white crane cocked its head to aside as an interesting thought came to mind, perhaps this young man can amuse her with his reactions.
"You're Chongyun are you not? The precious nephew of my disciple Shenhe." The apparent precious nephew of Shenhe felt his face flushed red in embarrassment, pondering on where did that come from? He completely lowered his guard and shot the big bird with a inquisitively look.
"P-Precious nephew?" She laughed at his confusion, such is the beauty of innocence and obliviousness.
"One thinks you should be aware of your own importance to others." The crane woman was speaking in riddles and while Chongyun had a good grasp at what she meant by her words. He didn't wholeheartedly believed that he is a significant part of his aunt's life. Make no mistake he cared deeply for her as indicated by his late night visit to her in the dangerous mountains, but what is he to Shenhe? A family member that she genuinely care for? Or a trivial nuisance that she had to protect due to her obligation as his older relative?
"Own importance?" Seeing the doubt and uncertainty in the young man's tone, the Retainer of the Clouds decided to let the exorcist to ponder that question on his own.
"I wouldn't delay your reunion any longer, I must make haste to meet with Moon Carver and discuss about adeptus affairs. In the meantime, I would leave Shenhe in your presence." He watched as she flapped her mighty wings, as she was about leaped into the air soar above the skies, a sudden impulse and desire to convey his gratitude overwhelmed him.
"Cloud Retainer!" She halted her take off and stared at him curiously, she watched him slowly approached him with a bashful yet earnest expression on his face.
"Thank you for taking care of auntie and making her your disciple. I- thank you." She could sense the genuine sincerity behind his quivering voice, for a stoic and composed individual such as him, this was certainly a humbling and admittedly endearing sight.
"You are most welcome young exorcist, but understand that it is Shenhe's own strength and will that allowed her persevere through. I merely provided a place for her to live and prosper." With those parting words, she finally leaped off the edge and ride the updrafts of the air currents to soar majestically in the skies. The popsicle lover flashed a small smile, feeling quite satisfied at himself for verbally thanking the adepti that took care of his aunt. He glanced upon the peak of the mountain above and noted the rolling thunderclouds that flicked with lightning, it was high time that he gets a move on.
His ascension towards the abode proved to be successful, he was barely tired from all the trekking due to the cool weathers of the night. Had it been the heat of the afternoon sun however, well he could barely walk 10 feet before collapsing. In some ways, Chongyun always wondered if he was secretly a vampire or a zombie. He chuckled at his own childish thought and pushed that aside from the time being, Miss Qiqi certainly had enlightened him at what it means to be a zombie.
The adeptus abode was finally insight but contrary to what he heard from the exotic traveler and the edible Paimon, the entrance to the lair was wide opened, completely unsealed and unguarded. Cautiously, Chongyun walked passed a small pond and stone table. On closer inspection, the exorcist noted a bottle of Osmanthus wine and a few food offerings placed in a neat and orderly manner. He promptly ignored his peculiar surroundings and entered the adepti abode, with his guard and senses heightened greatly. His right hand gripped the handle of his claymore, while his left hand assumed a sword finger stance to materialize a translucent talisman. This place is marked as sacred grounds, yet he was not oblivious to the potential dangers that lurk within.
"Auntie Shenhe? Are you here?" The cautious tone in his voice couldn't be more evident as he went deeper into the complex structure, filled with mechanisms and contraptions that he honestly couldn't comprehend. He relaxed and loosened his guard once the sound of heels clacking onto the smooth stone pavements alerted him of a feminine presence. A bright smile plastered on his face once he caught sight of his beautiful aunt walking gracefully down the stairs to greet him, she held her signature polearm on her left arm while maintaining a calm and composed expression.
"Chongyun? What are you doing here?" The young nephew ungripped his blade and walked towards his aunt with a friendly demeanor swiftly engulfing him. He stood a good distance from his aunt and smiled at her, waving his other hand in an energetic manner.
"I came to visit, is it alright? If you're busy I can come on another day." She stared at him with an unreadable expression before it melted to a more soft and mellow one befitting for a concerned aunt. She was taken by surprised that he was right here in front of her, this night was suppose to be tranquil and peaceful one.
"No it's fine, I'm merely surprised that you are here. Please come in and make yourself at home." Eagerly, Chongyun follow his aunt into the inner sanctums of the abode. His eyes were wide opened by when she configurated the mechanism of the doors, revealing an almost heavenly sight with the golden sea of clouds surrounding them. Shenhe glanced at her nephew's elated expression that were filled with childish wonder and form a smile of her own.
"How are you faring these days?" The sudden question from him was not expected, but she did revel in the small talk. She has been gradually improving her own conversational skills with others, though the complexity of the human heart and the nuances when it comes to non-verbal communication still baffles and confuse her.
"I'm doing well. Lately I have been finding myself walking through the quiet streets of Liyue at night. There is something calming and profoundly odd walking alone in a street that you normally associate with crowds and activity." Chongyun could certainly agree with it, he himself is not fond of crowded areas due to the stuffy nature of them. Naturally as an exorcist, he performs his "exorcist arts" in the dead of night, where the streets are barren and devoid of people. So he did understand the beauty of silence in a large bustling city like Liyue.
"Its as if you have the entire harbour to yourself right? The peace and quiet, the tranquil mood of silence." Shenhe took notice of her nephew's nostalgic and sentimental tone as they enter the main area of the abode. The lavish decors and vintage furniture that adorned the place she calls home were comparable to the auspicious Jade Chamber owned by Lady Ningguang. For Shenhe however, the extravagance of this abode was a little excessive.
"You seem to understand it as well." Chongyun placed his hands behind his back, he passed by river streams gushing with cool waters and towering mountains that had layer of clouds that conquered the peaks and summits.
"Growing up I was very focus on training and developing my exorcist arts, so I didn't have much of a chance to socialize and make friends. But right now I made many friends, like Xingqiu, Xiangling and Hutao. They are all very near and dear to me." Shenhe unearthed a rare smile at his nephew's enthusiastic tone, he genuinely sound happy that he made lifelong friends. How nice and lovely.
"I'm glad you found yourself wonderful companions. But speaking of the devil, Xingqiu has not been causing you trouble now has he?" The atmosphere of the room immediately shifted into one a suffocating one, Chongyun smiled sheepishly at the sudden change of demeanor as she gripped her Calamity Queller a tad bit tighter. If you were to look at this beautiful woman from a distance, you would think she is a vengeful spirit harboring a desire to murder others.
"The pranks he pulled were in jest auntie, it's all good lighthearted fun between friends." Chongyun managed to save his best friend from the unfortunate fate that is Shenhe's wrath. She gave a sigh at the earnest and pleading look from her nephew and ruffled his blue hair that was soft and silky to touch. She held back a chuckle when she saw the red flushed cheeks on his adorable face.
"Even so, he should understand that your overabundance of yang is a serious issue, he should not be treating it lightly as if it was some kind of joke." The young exorcist noticed the more expressive and open side of his aunt, she seemed to smile and display her emotions more freely when it comes to him. Perhaps Cloud Retainer's words did hold some truth to it? He cast that thought aside, perhaps he was overthinking things. His aunt might be aloof and stoic, but she's a nice person!
"I appreciate your concern auntie, thank you for looking after me." She nodded at his tone of formality, they were way past that now. Although she would appreciate it if he drops the tittle of auntie and just call her Shenhe, she was only 7 years older than him.
"It's natural for me to look after you and please drop the formalities and call me Shenhe, auntie is a little old for me." The gifted child reluctantly agreed to her terms, it didn't seemed right to address her so casually considering she is a generation older than him. But one look at her voluptuously figure that she flaunt so obliviously and Chongyun was beginning to feel the heat and temperature around him to rise rapidly.
"A-Alright aunt- I mean Shenhe." The adepti disciple grinned at the flustered and stuttering tone from her nephew. She never thought herself as the overdoting type, but the discovery of her nephew that shared many similarities with her changed all of that. Perhaps it was due to her own maternal deprivation from a young age, but she was starting to feel highly protective over her only nephew who made the effort to reach out to her despite her innate cursed nature.
"I am going to prepare dinner, any preference?" Chongyun sat down on the dining table that was build with the finest quality of black marble and white limestone. He smiled at his aunt and felt a little embarrassed that she had to go through the effort to prepare dinner for him. He practically barged in all unannounced and now she had to prepare dinner for him? Seems a little rude.
"I'm fine with anything so as long they don't involve Jueyun chilis." The dry delivery from her nephew was amusing to her, perhaps his was fed up with others who kept serving Jueyun chilis to him just to get a reaction from him. Shenhe would personally love to meet those people and crushed their limbs and knuckles to smithereens, though she had a hunch that her chivalrous and overly forgiving nephew would not appreciate that.
With his aunt disappearing to the kitchen, Chongyun took his time to wander around the outer quarters of the abode. The flourishing gardens and soothing sound of the waterfall were a delight to an introvert like him, this is the perfect place to rest and collect his thoughts with no form of distractions or intrusions from outsiders. He squatted down near the edge of a lake and dipped his fingers into the frigid waters, feeling the cool sensation that provided his skin much relief. He resisted the urge to stripped his clothes and submerge himself into the waters, proper manners Chongyun!
"Chongyun dinner is ready!" A sense of familiarity and nostalgia ran down his spine, he vividly remember his own mother shouting for his name to let him know that dinner was ready for him. He pushed that thought to aside and hastened his steps back to the dining room. With a sword finger pose, Chongyun was prepared to cool his dish to consume it safely when he noticed the condensation of his bowl.
"I already lowered the temperature for you." The motherly smile on his aunt's face sent a warm blaze into his heart, he nodded meekly at her aunt's consideration and expressed his thanks in a shy tone. The shift of behavior in her nephew raised eyebrows but Shenhe smiled at his flustered nature that stems from his introversion. She watched him sit down on the marble chair and picked his wooden chopsticks up with an unreadable expression on his face. She gripped her fist and leaned closer to him from across the table, did he hate the dish she served him? Was something wrong with the meal? Was he unhappy with the preference of noodle and temperature?
"Is this not up to your liking?" Chongyun shook his head and waved his hands in the air to ward off his aunt's tone of concern and worry. It was barely readable to others, but the young exorcist could pick up the subtle shift in his aunt's tone effortlessly. As a reserved individual himself, observation and listening skills remain as his greatest asset.
"No no, it's just, I'm surprised to see a heartstring shape dish that's all." Admittedly, Chongyun didn't expect his aunt to create such a cute looking dish. For a sophisticated and strong woman like her, this is the furthest thing he expects from her. Though he would be lying if he didn't find the contradiction cute and endearing. The older woman crossed her arms and nursed nostalgic smile, watching her nephew slurping the noodles with ravenous appetite.
"It's the only dish that I remember fondly from my childhood, so I tried my best to emulate and recreate the dish." Although she seemed stoic and emotionless with her statement, the ever perceptive Chongyun could tell she was trying her best to steel a firm and iron look that hid her more vulnerable insecurities and worries. But the exorcist wasn't one to pry on the private affairs of others, nor was he in the mood to make his auntie sad.
"It's really good, the noodles are thin and springy. The broth of the soup is really tasty too!" Shenhe perked up and chuckled at his almost childish like joy from him. Few people would attribute the cool and calm exorcist as a positive and cheerful person, though only a privilege few get to see this side of him. Emotions aren't necessary are hindrance to Chongyun, but a focused mind is crucial in his line of work. Apparitions and spirits are exceptionally fond of manipulating the emotions of others to their own advantage.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it. This is the first time I have ever cooked for someone, much less for a family member." The soft murmurs from her struck a cord with the popsicle lover, it seemed that his auntie longed the embrace and warmth of a family member more than he initially thought. He clenched his fists and steeled resolved, he was determined to support his auntie anyway he can possible. No family of his should suffer from the fate of loneliness and ostracization. For now however, Chongyun would enjoy what little time he has with his aunt.
After idly chatter has past between the two, Shenhe took her nephew's bowl and stacked it on top of her own. The light blue haired teen stood up suddenly and raised his hand, hoping that at the very least he could wash the dishes for her. As someone who often have a say at paying the meals with friends, Chongyun was feeling guilty for not contributing to the dinner.
"I will do the dishes." His sincere offer was swiftly silenced when a cryo avatar shaped after his aunt materialized behind her. He watched in awe and fascination as Shenhe gave the bowls to the avatar, it floated towards the kitchen with the bowls in its arms to wash the dishes.
"It's alright." The fact his aunt state it so nonchalantly made Chongyun wondered if this was a daily affair for her. He had seen her cryo avatar in action before, the very same avatar that saved him from being chopped in half, so he did felt an affinity and gratitude for it. Unfortunately however, the avatar was rather exotic and erotic looking with its naked figure that was modeled after his aunt. Needless to say, Chongyun had a good grasp of what his aunt would look like underneath her clothes, not that it was hard to envision her with the tight bodysuit she wears.
"Are you staying for the night?" He almost jolted upwards when his aunt bend down slightly to mirror his eye level, she placed a strand piece of hair behind her ear and eyed him with a small smile. The young man shook his head and crossed his arms, he should be on his way back to the city. He didn't plan to stay overnight and while he was certain his aunt won't mind it one bit, it didn't feel right to stay over.
"No, I'm-" But alas, fate had other plans by unleashing the flash of lightning and loud cracking thunder at that exact moment. The sound of torrential rain falling to the ground made the young man sigh as he face palmed as his own luck and misfortune. Why must the heavens open now?
"-staying over." Shenhe smiled at her nephew situation and ruffled his hair as if he was a child, earning a sigh from him. Why does she treat him like a little kid? He is a grown man- teenager! He had fought countless battles and expelled fierce demons through his presence alone, surely auntie Shenhe would understand he can look after himself right?
"I will prepare your bed then." He nodded glumly, which was a stark contradiction to Shenhe's bright and positive mood. On the surface she looked like her usual mundane self, but deep inside there was an aura of radiance and joy engulfing her. The young woman interlocked her fingers together and held it near her ample bosom as she looked for a suitable room for her nephew.
"Sorry for the inconvenience." Chongyun followed his aunt, marveling the architecture design of the place he would call home for the night. The potted plants that were positioned auspiciously, the many paintings that depict the natural wonders of Jueyen Karst, the positive exorcist was beginning to ponder how long did it took Cloud Retainer to build this up from scratch. Deep in his sightseeing, he failed to noticed that his aunt was eyeing him with a concerned look. She halted her steps suddenly before she leaned towards him, which startled the young man.
"Were you injured in combat?" She inspected his body for any sign of injuries, though his loose and baggy clothes made it difficult for her to asses her nephew's body. She placed her hands on his wrist to hold him in place and began to looked around his figure more intently.
"H-Huh?" He was still not used to his aunt being so close to him in this distance, the opal coloured eyes from her were both beautiful and intimidating to look at. Yet right now, the cryo claymore user felt completely safe and content in her arms. The way her fingers brushed against his sleeves were enough to make his body heat up however.
"There's a hole on your shirt." He stared down at the apparent tear on his shirt, it was quite a small cut so it doesn't really classify as a hole. How his auntie managed to spot out the small cut was beyond him, but she did posses superhuman strength and capabilities, maybe it extent to her sharp vision as well?
"Oh that, I think one of the rock shards from the sawachurls must have caused it." He probably didn't noticed the cut because the rock shards didn't injure his skin. It was not a huge deal for the exorcist and he had suffer more severe injuries before, but his aunt however had different ideas. She narrowed her eyes and stood tall and strong, reaffirming her position and authority as his older relative.
"Take off your shirt." The demanding tone from his aunt spooked Chongyun, though the bizarre and sudden request from her was the one who made him question his aunt's authority.
"W-What?" She sighed at his dumbfounded look and placed a hand on her ample hips, accentuating her figure even further to anyone near her, which was her nephew in this case.
"I need to sew it, any further wear and tear would cause the hole to grow bigger." He nodded to her terms, he agreed with her logic but that didn't meant it was embarrassing. Thankfully he always wore his navy blue undershirt, so it wasn't as if he would be half naked. He sighed and stripped his white hoodie that was embroidered in blue, feeling slightly vulnerable without it. His aunt took the shirt from him and ushered him to follow her. As they entered her private quarters, Chongyun found himself sitting on the edge of his aunt's bed while Shenhe merely sat on the chair of her dressing table, rummaging through her box of needles and threads.
"Something the matter?" Chongyun shook his head, the white and black sheets had a hint of Qingxin fragrance to it. He resisted the urge to smell the sheets as it was luring him to slumber and distance dreams before bashing himself internally for being such a creep. This was perhaps the first time he entered a woman's room, and no, the many exorcist activities he perform in a client's bedroom does not count as they were official business. He awkwardly stared at his aunt who sat by her dressing table, patiently and skillfully patching up the hole that was on his shirt.
"I'm merely surprised that you know how to sew." Chongyun bit his tongue, why did he had to phrase it like that? It sounded like he was mocking his own aunt! But before he could profusely apologize for his apparent insolence, his aunt responded his question with no change to her tone or emotion.
"My clothes are prone to damage due to fighting the demons and evil spirits on a daily basis, so I am quite experience when it comes to sewing." That make sense, warriors that do not maintain their weaponry or equipment regularly are bound to fall in battle due to their own ignorance. But what Chongyun was surprised that demons and evil spirits roam these mountains as well, these are adepti lands where powerful sigils and marks that deter lesser evils from encroaching the mountains are abundant. At the very least, common sense should dictate that one should never trifle with an adepti that can kill you in your lifetime and in the after life.
"Evil spirits lurked near these sacred mountains?" His aunt only nodded as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
"Of course, I purge demons and evils alike everyday. I consider it a routine." He sighed and supported his upper body by placing his two hands on the bed, he stared rainy scene outside of the window and began to wonder when would he ever encounter a spirit of his own.
"I wish I had the chance to exorcise a demon or a spirit, I have never seen one before." Shenhe stared at her nephew who seemed downcast and discouraged, she finished sewing the remnants of the tear and fold the hoodie neatly on her dressing table.
"In time you would get your chance, fate would find a way to make it so." He didn't doubt his aunt's words, he had swore in absolute determination to banish evils spirit through the conventional means of an exorcist. He loathed relying on his unique trait to expel evils, he wanted to do it the proper way, to prove to his elders and others that his skills as an exorcist came from his own hardwork and not from his gifted trait. He closed his eyes briefly and loosened a sigh at the cool temperatures, perhaps a cold shower is warranted now.
"Auntie Shenhe is it alright if I go bathe myself?" She nodded to his request and stood up from her dressing chair.
"Follow me." She lead him to a small section of the abode that were surrounded by nature. The covered walkway that link the main living area to the apparent bathroom was but a short walk, yet some amount of effort such as dimly lit lanterns and stone statues were clearly in sight. As they finally reached the small building, Chongyun heard the familiar sound of river gushing gradually getting louder and louder. With a small push to the doors, the young exorcist's eyes went wide opened.
"Is this a bathtub?" Shenhe nodded as she crossed her arms, she held back a smile when Chongyun dipped his fingers into the bathtub, barely flinching or reacting to what mortals would call freezing waters. The shape of the bathtub was very spacious, big enough to host an entire family even. From what Shenhe understood, her master was inspired by Inazuma hot springs and wanted to recreate it, but not without adding her own twist to it. The waters that run through the springs were from the flowing rivers above the ice-capped mountains, meaning that the waters are never stagnant and are always clean and purified.
"These freezing waters are the result of melted ice from the mountains, I presumed the temperature is up to your liking?" He nodded vigorously, showing his appreciation to his aunt by a humble bow.
"Yes! Thank you auntie." Shenhe sighed and poked his forehead with her finger with a deadpanned expression.
"Shen-he." Chongyun nodded meekly, right he should call her by her name.
"S-Sorry I'm still getting used to it, it doesn't feel right addressing you so casually." Judging from his strict and uptight upbringing, she couldn't blame him for being so rigid with his mannerism. Still, she would appreciate it if they could refer each other on a first name basis.
"Very well, you may call me what you like then. I will leave you for the time being and provide you a fresh spare of clothes." The ice cold woman spoke curtly before leaving Chongyun to his own privacy. With his aunt out of the cold water spring room, the young man stripped himself bare and finally entered the long awaited waters. He submerged his lower body and sigh in content over how nice this was. He heard that hot springs are wonderful from his close friends but this? This was truly a luxury beyond everything he could ever hope for. But with only the sound of the waters running and the occasional crickets of the night, Chongyun was now alone with his thoughts, with many of them concerning his aunt who took care of him tonight.
'Aunt Shenhe is nicer than I thought, even if she can't expression her emotions that well, she genuinely cares for me. I hope I can return her kindness, behind closed doors and private conversations the villager elders had labelled her as a cursed child, even her own father abandoned her to some evil deity. Such pain and traumatic sorrow, no wonder she's aloof and cold to others. She has been alone for her whole entire life, I wish I can be there for her.' He sincerely hoped that his aunt would one day fine happiness and solace in the arms of another. Be it friend, partner or family, Shenhe deserves to be happy. No one should bear the tittle of a cursed child and while Chongyun had attributed to himself as an idealistic and naive boy with his heads up in the clouds, he firmly believes that he can be the one to support his auntie.
"Chongyun, I'm placing your clothes outside of the door." The muffled voice from the other side made Chongyun sit upright, swishing the water around as it continued to flow downstream.
"Ah thank you!" Did she pre-emptively brought an extra pair of clothes for him? That was very thoughtful of her.
"I'm coming in." He nodded to her words and submerged into the waters once more before his mind finally registered her words.
"Sure- wait what?" The sound of the door unlocking was all he heard as his aunt had entered the bathroom with an unfazed expression on her face. The young man let out a girlish shriek and quickly covered his manhood on instinct despite the bathtub blocking the view and sight.
"A-Aunt Shenhe I'm still bathing!" She paid him no mind and began to strip her qibao top, before slowly and methodically removing her skin tight bodysuit that showed much of her womanly curves and assets.
"I'm aware of that. I read in an Inazuma book that showering together increases the bonds of families and partners, so I would like to replicate that." Chongyun wanted nothing but to leap out of the bathtub out of pure embarrassment. His face was crimson red and his body was starting to overheat from the sheer awkwardness of the room, but he maintain a cool composure and voice out what's left of his rational thoughts.
"Y-Yes but up to a certain point! I'm not a child anymore!" Caught between a hypnotic trance, Chongyun watched his aunt took off her white plume headpiece and the red cloverleaf tassel, placing them neatly on the sink top with the wooden bucket hosting her stripped clothes. From this angle, he could see his auntie fully nude form with her firm ass cheeks facing against his direction. Supple, firm and smooth to touch, the young nephew felt his nether regions growing by the second.
"Regardless, I myself am quite curious of this process of bathing together. Consider it as a selfish request of mine." He felt stunned when she walked towards the bath and held its edge to support her body. He could see the supple and firm breast of hers, the curvaceous thighs that were toned and smooth, the white tuff of hair near her labia and yet, she looked completely nonchalant and maybe innocent to the severe effects she is having on the young teenage boy.
"I-" The sight of his aunt smiling softly at him quickly made his heart did a somersault.
"Alright." Just like that, the steadfast and composed Chongyun was defeated. He bit his lower lip when the sound of his aunt entering the bathtub met his ears, it was an incredibly erotic situation since she sat directly behind his back. His earlier assessment of the spacious tub was now actually too small and cramped for them. He averted his gaze when he spotted the mirror that reflected his aunt's splendid bare body, though he was flustered and in bright red, he did noticed that his aunt also had a small tint of red on her cheeks. The allure of a mature woman acting shy and bashful was enough to send Chongyun's libido flying.
'Gah Chongyun get a hold of yourself! This is your own aunt you're leering here!' He started to cite the mantras of exorcist arts, hoping to rid his mind of the impure thoughts regarding his aunt. Yet the only thoughts that filled his mind were that of his auntie Shenhe, lying enticingly on a white bed with silk flowers surrounding her. She flashed a seductive smile as her bedroom eyes called out to him-
"Chongyun." The hair on his body straightened up, was he a dead man? Did she somehow caught his lecherous and unsavory thoughts on her? Are Adepti even capable of telepathy and mind-reading? So many questions flashed his mind in the span of a second, and yet he gripped the side of the bathtub and spoke hesitantly.
"Y-Yes?" He let out a low groan when he felt a damp silky cloth touching his back. The soft and firm hands from his aunt was pressed against his body, sending a chill of pleasure down his spine despite her innocent intentions.
"Let me wash your back." He nodded weakly to her demands, unable to deny that he was turned on and aroused by the situation. She was just trying to wash is back, nothing out of the ordinary between family members right? He battled the storm of emotions within him, trying his very best to calm himself in this newfound experience. Intimacy was not something Chongyun got to experience, but he could guess that this was what it's like.
"O-Okay." The atmosphere of the room shifted considerably, it was far more intimate than what Chongyun initially thought but it wasn't necessary horrible awkward either. The sound of the water flowing and the soft muffled thunders booming outside was strangely relaxing with the free massage he was getting from his highly attractive aunt that adored him. It was all so- weird yet tranquil in its own right.
"Loosen your muscles, there's no need for you to be so tense." The soft whispered from her caused an instantaneous reaction from his nether regions. He could feel her hands roaming around his back, rubbing her slender hands around his shoulders and gently squeezing them to wash the sweat off him.
'I can feel her breast against my back.' Every sway of her body meant that her large breasts would graze upon his back every now and then, it was borderline teasing from his aunt and Chongyun was beginning to feel the heat of moment starting to overwhelm his senses.
'My erection! Damn it keep it together Chongyun. Don't get lightheaded!' He couldn't afford to lose his composure and give into his maniac state. Who knows what would happen then? What if he did something he would regret? He could never live that down as a person and individual, but more importantly, he didn't want to hurt his aunt who was placing her faith and trust in him. Before Chongyun could voice his temperature flaring up, the smell of Qingxin flowers instantly seized all forms of rising heat within his body and took precedent over anything.
"Is this Qingxin flowers?" The distinct smell of the flower permeated in the air, allowing Chongyun to loosen up a little and relax under its effect. These wild flowers are known to have yang suppressing effects, which was why the popsicle he consumes also dulled his congenial positivity as they are made of Qingxin.
"Qingxin extracts functions as a form of aromatherapy, how do you feel?" Shenhe can be considered a master of herbs, having to consume mountains herbs on a daily basis, over the course of time she became well versed in its many medical and therapeutic properties. She smiled at the small sigh from her nephew as he finally opened up to her and leaned backwards slightly, allowing her to be closer to her otherwise distant nephew.
"Relaxed, I haven't felt this sensation before." Chongyun can't recall the time where he felt this relaxed before. Many of his nights were spent camping outdoors and grassy hills, so a cold water spring like this was a luxury to him. As he gradually got used to his aunt's hands washing his back, he bit her lower lip and steeled his courage to ask a question.
"Auntie Shenhe." She paused and lifted the cloth from his back.
"Hmm?" He took deep breaths and spoke meekly with his fists clenched on his lap.
"C-Can I wash your back as well?" There was a moment of silence, but the sound of the waters swishing around indicated that his aunt was moving around the tub. He glanced at her reflection through the mirror and noticed the genuine smile on her face as she moved in an almost giddy like fashion. Was she that thrilled to have him wash her back? That's adorable.
"Sure." Chongyun slowly turned his body to face his aunt's back, only to met with an instant regret at the sight of her bare and smooth back. This was more difficult than he thought, he didn't take account how difficult it was for him to wash her back without being turned on. He sighed inwardly and steeled his courage, all he has to do is to wash her back, not too hard now right? With a confident nod, he took the silk cloth and placed it on his aunt's back, carefully placing her long silver white hair over her shoulders.
'Her skin is so smooth and soft, its hard to believe she is this battle hardened woman who can destroy mountains and freeze tidal waves.' He gently scrubbed her back, applying small forms of pressure to it. He lowered his gaze to her ass crack and quickly shot back his eyes back to her hair, he couldn't afford to get lost in his lust or arousal here.
"You can scrub it little lower." Chongyun swore he heard a stiffened moan from his steadfast and cold aunt when his hands rubbed her curvy waist. He became more bold of his actions once he heard how good she felt and placed his index finger on her upper back, slowly and sliding downwards to her rear. The sudden ragged breath she let out froze his actions, did he went too far? She looked over her shoulders and smiled shyly at him, which make this enchanting and beautiful looking woman all the more desirable and sweet. The young teenager steadied his breathing and continued to scrubbed his aunt's back, he lift her braided hair up and placed them over her shoulders before washing her back in a rhythmic manner.
"Thank you, it was very lovely of you to do that." Shenhe's voice was on the low and timid side, yet it did little to hide her sincerity and genuine happiness. She repositioned herself to lean her back against the walls, exposing her breast and flushed cheeks to her nephew. Seeing his reluctance, she patted the empty spot next to her, ushering her nephew to sit next to her and enjoy their bath together.
"Come, sit next to me. The tub has enough space for the both us." He hesitated for the briefest of moments, yet he found himself agreeing to her terms. He sat next to her, feeling her bare shoulder rubbing against his own. The sight of the water droplets dripping from her breast to the water making his erection harder and harder to conceal. Sneakily, he used his cryo powers to further lower the temperatures of the freezing waters to further cool down his heated body. But the initial erotic scenario slowly became more acceptable as some time went by, at least for Chongyun anyway. They simply sat in the cold tub in pure silence with no hint of awkwardness or tension filling the atmosphere.
"Auntie, have you done this before?" She shook her head, this was the first time she done something like this.
"Hmm? No, this is my first time bathing with someone. It's a little odd but I find myself enjoying the experience, it's rather- intimate I would say." Intimate would be an understatement, this is one line they should not have cross with each other. He sighed and averted his gaze on her bare body, he can't sully his aunt like this, she deserved respect and dignity from him. Without a warning, Shenhe placed her hand on his forehead and leaned her supple and enticing body to him, borderline pinning her two globes near her nephew's face.
"Your temperature is high, are you alright?" She leaned her face closer with her other hand placing dangerous close to Chongyun's legs to support herself. He let out a hiss when his erect and stiff penis accidentally grazed upon his aunt's arm, earning a swift reaction from the young virile man.
"I-I'm sorry! It's just seeing you like this is-" Between his stutters and the distance he created with his aunt, Chongyun felt the impulse to leave the tub out of shame. He couldn't believe that his manhood had physical contact with his aunt and while he cursed his own sick degenerate fantasies spiraling out of control, even he had to admit that the sensation of his throbbing hot member against his aunt's smooth arm was divine, a fact that further attributed to his guilt. Shenhe loosed a smile and placed a hand on his hair, ruffling it softly to show that she was not angry or mad at him. If anything, she realized that it was her fault for causing a growing teenager like him to act his way.
"I understand Chongyun, there's no need to feel embarrassed or flustered. It's natural for boys of your age to be interested in the female anatomy and body." She sound rather analytical and methodical with her words, which made Chongyun question whether his aunt is interested in engaging in sexual activity herself. He felt her sitting closer to him, with her white silverish hair leaning against his soft blue locks.
"A-Auntie!" Chongyun was certain she could feel the full mast of his erection giving how close her legs are to his, but she was undeterred by his bodily reaction and placed her arm around his shoulders to pulled him closer to her bosom. The young exorcist would had thrown a huge fit and faint on the spot had it not been the earnest and almost innocent expression on his aunt's face that soothed the fiery warmth in his heart and, in his crotch.
"Shh, it's alright." The gentle and motherly voice from her eliminated all forms of awkwardness in the air and for once, Chongyun decided to go with the flow rather than being so uptight and rigid. A little skinship between families never hurt anyone right? It wasn't as if they were doing anything illegal or immoral for that matter, they were just a pair of nephew and aunt rekindling and strengthening their bond together. He dismissed the nagging voice that resided within his head and settled into the comforting body of his aunt and closed his eyes, feeling and living in the moment as the sound of water gushing and rain pattering the roof tops provided a nice ambience to relax.
"Are you leaving tomorrow morning?" He slowly opened his eyes and caught his aunt's usual stoic expression. He gave the faintest of nods, remembering that he would have to make his monthly report back to his village elders. Despite his loyalty and fealty to his clan, Chongyun did ultimately understood as the heir of his clan there were many political rivals waiting to sabotage him. His gifted nature of congenial positivity allows him to surpass all of his peers in the exorcists arts and in addition to his cryo vision capabilities, it is almost destined for Chongyun to take up the mantle as the head of the clan. Naturally, jealousy, favourtism and nepotism had all mingled into one convoluted political mess that Chongyun wasn't interested in. All he wanted is to banish the world off evil spirits for good and find a way to control his overabundance of positivity, which were rather simple goals for an esteemed and talented adolescent like him.
"Yes, the villager elders requested my presence." Shenhe raised her eyebrows, she personally did not want to entertain the thought of going back to her clan. It wasn't as if she had a vendetta against them, but they were chatty and sociable folks who Shenhe had a hard time to strike up a conversation with. If she could have it her way, she would only choose to maintain ties with her introverted nephew who she had an affinity for.
"Oh? What for if you don't mind me asking." He sighed inwardly, it was almost certain that she would ask him this question. He stared at her before averting his gaze to the waters, perhaps it was time to let her know.
"It's about you auntie, they wanted to know how you are doing." Shenhe immediately understood what he meant, it seems that the village council had still deemed her as a threat. So they send their best and most promising warrior to spy on her, to ensure that she does not go rogue or bring the curse of calamity to Liyue. But of course, Shenhe didn't had the heart to verbally accuse her nephew of espionage. Deep down, she already suspected that Chongyun was being used and manipulated by his elders to do their own bidding, absolutely disgusting.
"I see, they send you to keep an eye on me." The tone of sadness were barely audible, but Chongyun heard it loud and clear. His heart ached and broke at the tone of distrust, she probably thinks he is here because he was dutybound.
"No! I'm not keeping an eye on you. I didn't come here because they asked me to, it is by my own will that I came and visit!" The exclamation from him were both passionate and sincere, so much so that it caught the normally aloof Shenhe off guard. She stared at her nephews blue eyes that were akin to the highest quality of noctilucous jade, the way it shimmered against the warm lights showed much of his compassion and sincerity.
"Regardless of the reason, I'm not keen on returning back to the village." Chongyun nodded to the strong and absolute tone from his aunt, he suspected this much from her. She roam round the mountains of Liyue freely, completely unhindered nor chained to any society or familial duty. She would always be an outcast to his village, a depressing thought that did not sit well with the young man.
"I know, I would inform the elders of your decision." The white haired beauty snaked her arms around her nephew's waist, pulling him closer to her. Obviously such sudden action from her raised alarm bells and tension within Chongyun, but he responded relatively calm and proper to his aunt's shift of behavior.
"Auntie?" She flashed a small warm smile, leaning her head towards his soft blue hair that she adored.
"Stay a little longer." Was she asking him to not return back to the village tomorrow? Or was she talking about the bath? Regardless of her request, the spirit blade wielder nodded and felt the soft divine sensation of her breast pushing against his arm, at this point Chongyun knew they were way past the sensitivity of intimacy and skinship, so he didn't even bother putting up an act of being flustered.
"Alright." The two merely sat together in bath, deep in their own silence and presence as the sound of rain faded into obscurity.
