"Damn that Tycoon." Michinaga growled as he punched the punching bag both he and Toru installed in their small apartment.

"Sakurai or Keiwa." Toru corrected.

"What?"

"At least respect the dead by calling him by his name." Toru explained.

"Why did he do that, Toru?"

"Beats me," Toru shrugged. "But from what you told me, he's the selfless type, wasn't he?"

"I didn't think he'd be this idiotic with his nature," Michinaga clicked his tongue. "Why couldn't he have just stayed out of the tournament when I told him to."

"If Sakurai's words were true, which I think they are, that's literally impossible." Toru slurped the noddles he's been holding. "His supporter literally dangled his sister's life in front of him to give him the so-called 'character development.' He literally has no option of staying out of the tournament regardless."

"That damn Tanuki."

"Besides, why are you so affected?" Toru asked. "He's literally one of the people you personally killed and yet you're affected that he's gone for good of his own volition?"

"Can you please…"

"I'll stop if you want me to," Toru shrugged. "But I don't think you want me to."

"He's not like everyone else, alright!" Michinaga exclaimed. "He was naïve, idealistic, easy to please, literally happy if someone else is happy." He growled in frustration.

"Say what you really mean, Michinaga." Toru pointed out.

"Just, why did he do it?!"

"Because he knows he can," Toru answered. "From how the others described Keiwa-san, he's the guy who doesn't fancy himself to be the hero but is the hero. He's the self-sacrificial type, if he thinks his sacrifice would be for a good cause, he'll sacrifice himself for it."

"After all that talk about not sacrificing anyone?"

"That's the thing; they never include themselves in that blanket statement," Toru answered. "I believe Keiwa-san is the same."

"But…"

"Either that or he realized that a sacrifice needed to be made, so he thinks it's better for him to be sacrificed than anyone else."

"Aaagh! Dammit!"

"He's different than us selfish-types." Toru shook his head. "Trying to rack your brain for possible explanations will just give you a headache, I think this presents a good opportunity for us."

"What are you talking about?"

"Considering how we act, we are the only thing that keeps them grounded to reality, so we ground them."

"I don't think you should…"

"What? You don't want them to hate me?"

"Partially, yeah."

"That's the thing Michinaga, I'm not attached to Keiwa-san." Toru offered a smile at his best friend. "It would be disrespectful to him if I somehow suddenly care about him or act like I'm affected by his death when I'm not."

"But…"

"Besides, you'd probably be alone being the only one on everyone's shit list." Toru grinned. "Why don't I accompany you there, just like old times?"

"Just like old times."
