Chapter nine:
Kaoru is hanging out in the room with the others when a burly man enters getting their attention.
This man is an underling of the group who is a human who has no idea about the truth of the group. He has tanned skin, a black medium length beard that goes up to his black hair, very narrow eyes that they hardly ever look open to show his dark brown eyes, and he wears a black and white suit like one would expect from a bodyguard. "Sorry to intrude. But the Hitcahiin parents are at the border asking to speak with one of you."
Kaoru glances to Josephine after seeing the others look concerned and angry about this. He watches Josephine get to her feet.
"Kaoru. Stay here." Josephine orders in a tone that leaves little way for Kaoru to even argue with her. "I will deal with this myself. You can go Sebastian."
Sebastian leaves after that and once he is gone is when Josephine leaves.
Josephine dashes off with her inhuman speed.
Kaoru hopes that everything will be alright.
…..
Josephine arrives to the border and stares with narrowed eyes at the Hitachiin parents. "What do you want?" She demands with a slight growl.
"We don't want any trouble." The mother informs Josephine. "However there is an issue that we need help with. Our son has gone missing and we want to ask for your help in finding him. We are willing to make a deal with you in order to do this. Please." She looks distressed. "It is our fault for letting our position get to our heads. Thinking we could get away with making him sell himself on the streets."
Josephine gets in the mothers face with such an animalistic snarl that the mother stumbles back in terror.
The mother starts to tremble with tears in her eyes.
The father takes over. "Please. We know that we have done wrong. Just help us to find our son."
"I don't see a reason to return him to you if we do find him." Josephine tells the two still glaring harshly at them. "What you have done is disgusting and unworthy of being his parents anymore."
"Then…" The mother swallows as a tear falls down her cheek. "If you find him can you take care of him in our place? We just want him to be safe from whoever took him."
Josephine snorts tough takes a moment before she responds. "He is safe." She sees their surprise at this. "He was taken by a man we had been keeping watch on and we did save him. We already knew about what you were doing and decided to not return him to you. Don't think we hadn't seen your little online ad." She sees the mother wince at this. "He will remain in our custody and you will not cross this border that has been set so long ago. You left him to his own devices. And your actions almost caused him to be taken by a trafficker. He got lucky we were there to stop that from happening."
The mother breaks down sobbing at hearing this.
"Now I suggest you leave before I force you to leave." Josephine bares her vampire fangs at them in warning.
"We understand." The father dips his head. "All that we request is that Kaoru continues his schooling at the school we sent him to. We will pay for everything with that."
"I will see if he wants to return there." Josephine is handed a credit card by the father.
"For him. Just in case he lost any of his other cards. Thank you for helping to keep our son safe." The father tells Josephine before heading off as he leads his wife away.
Josephine waits to ensure that they are gone then she heads back to the others. She looks to Kaoru. "Your former parents wanted us to help search for you. I told them that you were staying here. They said that they understood and all they asked was that you continue to go to school. They also gave me a card for you though if you don't want it we will get rid of it." She offers the credit card to Kaoru who hesitates a moment. "It is up to you. Do you want to continue your schooling? They said that they would pay for everything around that."
Kaoru lets out a breath and finally takes the credit card. "It probably would be for the best that I do. An education is probably important."
At this Josephine nods her head. "Alright then. I will escort you to and from school then."
"Thank you." Kaoru dips his head to her.
"I will send Sebastian to get your uniform and just let me know if there is anything else that you need." Josephine listens as Kaoru tells her anything that he wants to be grabbed.
The next day…
Hikaru arrives to school with Kyouya and the two are about to start to head into the building when they notice whispers and looks. He starts to think that it is because he arrived with Kyouya… Until he notices that they are looking past the two of them. He turns to look behind himself only to spot a limo he has never seen before pull up to the drop off area. He wonders if there is a new student to the school, though he isn't sure who it could be.
The door to the limo is opened by a driver and a figure comes out that makes Hikaru's heart stop for a moment.
Hikaru can't believe that he is looking at Kaoru with a hat and sunglasses on. He hurries away from Kyouya to race towards his brother only for a woman he hasn't seen before to come out putting herself between them. He skids to a stop at this as the woman looks at him with some kind of dangerous looking fire in her gaze. "Who are you?" He demands wondering if she is Kaoru's actual kidnapper and had hurt Kaoru in someway.
"That doesn't matter to you." The woman tells Hikaru.
"Hikaru. I am fine. She's a friend." Kaoru assures Hikaru even taking off his sunglasses to show that he isn't trying to hide an injury. "I just stayed at her place when you went to help Kyouya with some work for the club."
At this Hikaru takes notice that they have a lot of attention on them. "Ah." He nods to his brother. "Well it is nice to meet you…" He blinks at the woman.
"Josephine." The woman introduces herself.
"Josephine." Hikaru nods his head then looks to Kaoru again. "Walk with me and Kyouya inside?" He invites to which Kaoru nods his head putting his sunglasses back on. He swears it is like Kaoru is a little more sensitive to the sun.
"See you later friend." Josephine shares a friendly hug with Kaoru looking like best friends saying see you later to each other.
"See you." Kaoru confirms then he walks with Hikaru and Kyouya into the building.
This makes everyone watching push away this as if everything is all wrapped up.
Kyouya and Hikaru lead Kaoru to a place where they can talk.
Kaoru turns to them clearly knowing that they want an explanation. He is about to speak but Hikaru speaks up first.
"Kaoru. I am so sorry for what I said that day." Hikaru's words do get a surprised look from his brother.
