Davis has arrived on Gallant Island for his battle against Michelle. They're battle was set to be a full battle, with Davis deciding that he wants to use the first team of pokemon he ever made. The battle seems to be going in his favor as he used Imperialdramon and Gastrodon to defeat Michelle's Ditto and Swalot. However, the tide seems to be turning as Michelle brought out Mismagius as her next pokemon. Davis battled back with Swellow, but a powerful explosion went off with both pokemon getting caught in it. Who will be the one that wins? We'll see soon enough.
So you want to be Master of Pokemon
Do you have the skills to be Number One
I wanna take the ultimate step
Find the courage to be bold
To risk it all and not forget the lessons that I hold
I wanna go where no one's been
Far beyond the crowd
Learn the way to take command
Use the power that's in my hand
Hey
We all live in a pokemon world
I wanna be the greatest master of them all
We all live in a pokemon world
Put myself to the test
Be better than all the rest
So you wanna be a Master of Pokemon
Do you have the skills to be Number One
We all live in a pokemon world
I wanna be the greatest master of them all
Got the power right in your hands

"The smoke is starting to clear. Are either pokemon still standing after that?" The smoke began to clear as everyone want to know, but it looks like both of them were beaten. Both Mismagius and Swellow were knocked out of the battle.
"Both Swellow and Mismagius are unable to battle! This battle ends in a draw!" The ref declared.
"It's a draw! Both sides have lost a pokemon! Davis might have only lost one, but Michelle has lost three pokemon. Since that happened, we will be taking a short intermission with the field changing."
"I can't believe Michelle's lost three pokemon and this guy has only lost one."
"Maybe we'll get to see Cobalion battle this time."
"Forget Cobalion. I'm rooting for this guy to win." It seems like the crowd was really starting to get interested in the battle and some of them seem to be taking Davis' side.
"You hear all that? Sounds like the crowd is with you, Davis." Tetsu said. "Better make sure you win."
"Of course I'm going to win." Davis claimed.
"I wouldn't get too cocky if I were you. While it is impressive you were able to beat three of her pokemon, Cobalion itself will be the toughest to beat. Not to mention she has two other pokemon you know nothing about." Cletus warned. "The battle could still turn in her favor."
"Maybe, but I know my pokemon can take whatever she throws at them." Davis said as he was confident in them.
"Will both trainers please return to the battlefield and we will resume." The battle was restarting with both of them walking over. When that happened, the field began to change into a rock battlefield. "The second half of this battle is going to continue on a rock battlefield. Now, what pokemon will our trainers use next."
"Tsareena, let's go!" Michelle called.
"Tsareena!"
"And Michelle is going with the grass-type: Tsareena."
"Never saw that pokemon before." Davis said.
"Hey! That pokemon is quite the looker!" Imperialdramon said as he seems to like what he saw with Davis a bit surprised he would say that, but Imperialdramon quickly shut up out of embarrassment.
"Well, I think this one will work. Zangoose, I choose you!" Davis called.
"Zangoose!"
"Davis is going with his fourth pokemon: Zangoose."
"Let's do this, Zangoose! Get in there with your Slash!" Davis called and Zangoose charged right at Tsareena to slash its claws against her, but she and Michelle seem perfectly calm.
"Use Sweet Scent!" Michelle called. Tsareena unleashed a pink colored scent. The sweet smelling aroma threw Zangoose off balance for a moment and got his attack to be called off.
"Sweet Scent has gotten to Zangoose. That sweet smell seems to have taken the fighting spirit out of Zangoose."
"Don't be ridiculous! It's going to take more than that to throw Zangoose off its game!" Davis called.
"Is that so? How about this then? Tsareena, let's turn up the charm by using Attract!" Michelle called. (AN: Yes, I'm aware Tsareena might not be able to use Attract because it doesn't look like it can, but I needed that for this.) Tsareena winked and unleashed a series of hearts. Those hearts came around Zangoose and smashed against Zangoose with him falling under the effects as Zangoose now had hearts in his eyes.
"Not that!" Cletus said. "With Attract, Zangoose might not be able to attack!"
"Zangoose, snap out of it!" Davis called, but Zangoose wasn't listening. That Attract was so strong.
"Ha... Tsareena doesn't need to use Attract on me." Imperialdramon commented, but he shut up again when Davis looked at him.
"Tsareena, Razor Leaf!" Michelle called. Tsareena unleashed a series of leaves that slashed against Zangoose. To Zangoose, it was like Tsareena attacked because it cared. Davis didn't like the looks of this at all, but he still believed in Zangoose.
'Zangoose, you've always acted like a protector. You were always willing to help others.' Davis thought as he remembered how his Zangoose was. 'That is what gives you your strength. It's how you've always been. Your will was so strong that you could even control yourself around Serviper.' "You hold such a strong will, Zangoose! Use that will now and attack with Crush Claw!" Zangoose appeared to have heard Davis this time as Zangoose charged straight in for an attack.
"Look at that! Is Zangoose actually going to attack Tsareena despite being under the effects of Attract?!"
"Tsareena, Trop Kick!" Michelle called. Tsareena was able to attack before Zangoose could as she smashed her leg against Zangoose when he was close enough. Zangoose was sent flying and smashed right against a rock. Zangoose wasn't under the affects of Attract anymore because he was knocked out.
"Zangoose is unable to battle! Tsareena is the winner!" The ref declared.
"Davis loses a pokemon that time. The score is now three to four."
"That last attack... Ouch. It was like Zangoose got shot down hard." Tetsu said as he felt sorry for Zangoose.
"Zangoose, return. It's all okay." Davis said as he brought back Zangoose to his pokeball. "Time to get serious. Houndoom, I choose you!"
"Houn!"
"Davis is going with Houndoom as his fifth pokemon. He's got the advantage, but will Tsareena's Attract change that?"
"Let's find out! Tsareena, charm Houndoom with Attract!" Michelle called as Tsareena unleashed the attack.
"Not this time! Burn those hearts with Flamethrower!" Davis called. Houndoom unleashed a stream of fire and burned right through the hearts. "Now use Heat Wave!" Houndoom kept the attacks going as Houndoom released a wave of heat with it smashing against Tsareena and dealing some damage. "Finish it with another Flamethrower!" Houndoom didn't miss a beat as it used Flamethrower once again and blasted Tsareena with it and was knocked out of the battle.
"Tsareena is unable to battle! Houndoom is the winner!" The ref declared.
"Tsareena just got burned! Davis and his Houndoom didn't give Tsareena and Michelle much of a chance to fight back. Michelle is now down to just two pokemon. Could we be witnessing the climax of the battle?"
"You didn't have to be too rough with her." Imperialdramon said.
"Whose side are you on?!" Davis called.
"You're doing better than I thought Davis. You're giving us a real run for our money." Michelle said as she was getting the kind of battle she was hoping for. "The trust and bond you share with your pokemon is obviously strong."
"Thanks, Michelle. In fact, we're just getting started." Davis said.
"Perhaps I need to get a little serious myself. Hippowdon, you're up!" Michelle called.
"Hippowdon!" She called out her Hippowdon and the color indicates that it's male.
"Michelle is going with Hippowdon as her fifth pokemon. It gives her the advantage." Upon Hippowdon's arrival, a sandstorm started to brew right in the arena. "There's Hippowdon's ability: Sand Stream. A sandstorm has now whipped up in the arena simply because of Hippowdon's appearance."
"I've never see that pokemon before." Davis said as he tried to resist the sandstorm.
"Be careful, Davis! Hippowdon is a ground-type! It's ground-type attacks will be most effective!" Cletus called.
"It's a ground-type? In that case, I should switch. Houndoom, return!" Davis called as he brought Houndoom back to its pokeball.
"Davis is switching his pokemon again. Who will he use this time?"
'I should save Gastrodon for Cobalion. Plus, I'm not sure if Gastrodon had enough time to recover. I need someone fresh.' Davis thought as he thinks that might be best. "Absol, I choose you!"
"Absol!"
"Davis brings out Absol as his final pokemon. We now know all of Davis' pokemon, but can Absol take on Hippowdon?"
"Show them what you've got Absol! Give them your Iron Tail!" Davis called. Absol charged right at Hippowdon with a hardened tail. Absol swung its tail, but Hippowdon just moved to the side and Iron Tail slightly missed.
"Hippowdon, blast them with Water Pulse!" Michelle called. Hippowdon formed the orb of water and blasted Absol with it as some damage was dealt.
"Ouch! It looks like Absol's attack didn't do much, but Hippowdon's attack surely did!"
"That Hippowdon can use Water Pulse? Unreal." Davis complained. "Absol, try Night Slash!" Absol tried attacking with its horn this time as it kept trying to slash away. Hippowdon kept moving around to try and make it difficult for the attack to land. There a few nicks and strikes, but nothing too serious is hitting Hippowdon.
"I don't get it. Why aren't Absol's attacks working right?" Tetsu questioned.
"It's this sandstorm!" Cletus said. "Absol must be having a hard time aiming in this sandstorm! Unless Davis can figure out how to battle in this, Absol can't aim properly! On top of that, this is draining more and more of Absol's power!" This wasn't good for Absol at all, but Hippowdon is completely unaffected.
"Hippowdon, give them your Double-Edge!" Michelle called. Hippowdon smashed itself against Absol and it was no miss.
"Hippowdon has no trouble battling in this weather. Could Davis lose another one of his pokemon?" It might look bad, but Davis won't backdown. He knows Absol can handle it.
'Absol, you might have been the last to join the team, but you were just as important as any of my pokemon.' Davis thought. 'I knew from the start you were a good pokemon, and I know you could handle anything that is thrown at you.' When he thought that, it gave him an idea. "Absol! Hold on a minute!" He called and got Absol's attention. "If you're having trouble seeing, don't rely on your eyes! You always had good instincts, so try and sense where Hippowdon is!" Absol understood and just stood there with its eyes closed. "Good! Once you believe you have it, give them your Razor Wind!"
"If you just stand there, you're going to lose. Hippowdon, Water Pulse!" Michelle called as Hippowdon was getting ready to attack with Absol just standing where it was. The attack was launched, but Asbol got the location and used Razor Wind. The attack flew through the air and the two of them clashed. The splashed water also created an opening in the sandstorm for them to see.
"Look at that! There's an opening in the sandstorm!"
"Absol, Hippowdon is right in front of you! Use Psycho Cut!" Davis called. Absol pulled its head back and unleashed the attack as it shot right through and smashed against Hippowdon.
"Psycho Cut lands, and it looks like a critical hit!" Hippowdon was pushed back until it smashed into a few rocks and was knocked out with the sandstorm clearing away.
"Hippowdon is unable to battle! Absol is the winner!" The ref declared.
"Hippowdon is down! Michelle has only one pokemon left now while Davis only has four!" The crowd was starting to get into this now because that last pokemon is the one they've all been waiting for. Davis knew it too and had to be ready.
"Only left, but we know who it is. Get ready." Davis said as he and his pokemon readied themselves for the last battle.
"Very nicely done, Davis. I knew you wouldn't disappoint." Michelle claimed. "It's been quite a while since I've been pushed into a corner, but this is where your real test begins." She said as she grabbed the pokeball that held that pokemon. "Cobalion, let's go!"
"Co!"
"There it is! It's Cobalion!" This is the battle that everyone was waiting for.
"Cobalion is a fighting-type. I better do something fast or else Absol isn't going to last long." Davis said as he understood the situation. "Absol, Psycho Cut!" Absol was getting ready to use the attack when...
"Cobalion, Sacred Sword!" Michelle called. A horn-like extension came out of Cobalion's head and it leaped straight at Absol. It slashed that horn against Absol with massive damage being dealt and some damage to the field being dealt. Absol was taken out in a single attack.
"Absol is unable to battle! Cobalion is the winner!" The ref declared.
"Even if Absol wasn't weak against fighting-type attacks, there was a lot of power there!" Tetsu said.
"Davis has to be careful with this one." Cletus said. Davis brought Absol back to its pokeball and got his next one ready.
"Gastrodon, you're up next!" Davis called as he brought out his next pokemon.
"Gastrodon!"
"Gastrodon is back in, but does it have the strength to keep battling?"
"Gastrodon, attack with Mud Bomb!" Davis called.
"Dodge it and use Iron Head!" Michelle called. Cobalion galloped around the field with Gastrodon's attacks missing. Cobalion kept going as it's head harded to iron and smashed itself against Gastrodon to try and deal some damage.
"That Cobalion is fast, but let's see how it does with ice. Use Blizzard on the field!" Davis said. Gastrodon unleashed the blizzard around the whole field and was freezing everything. When Cobalion touched down on the ground and had trouble balancing.
"Gastrodon has frozen the entire field! That is sure to make it difficult for Cobalion to get around."
"Not bad, but not good enough!" Michelle called. "Cobalion!" Cobalion raised its legs and stomped down right on the ground. The immense power caused the entire ice to shatter. Davis surely didn't expect that. "Now use Sacred Sword!" Cobalion attacked Gastrodon once again as it slashed against Gastrodon and Gastrodon was defeated now.
"Gastrodon is unable to battle! Cobalion is the winner!"
"It looks like the tide of the battle is turning in Michelle's favor as Davis is now down to just two pokemon." It wasn't looking good for Davis, but Davis wasn't going to back down.
"Well? What next, Davis? Do you think you can still win?" Michelle taunted.
"I know I can. My pokemon and I have a bond that will last forever, and it's that bond that gives us strength!" Davis said as he got his next pokemon ready. Every word he spoke was the truth. Davis shares a strong bond with each of his pokemon and those bonds is what got him this far.
Davis might be down to just two pokemon, but it won't stop him. The real battle between these two is about to commence. Who will be the one that wins? Will it be Davis or will it be Michelle?
