At his manor, Edward had arrived home from the park and had began to continue unpacking. His room was still cluttered with boxes of items and mementos.
With the exception of the gold locket, which Edward quickly noticed was nearly falling off his desk.
He grabbed the locket, and held it up in his hand. Opening it, he stared at the photograph of a platinum blonde haired girl smiling back at him, as he had so many times.
"My leader" Xander explained"I am so sorry about everything"
"SAVE it Xander" the Red Baron snapped from his seat "all that matters, is the one responsible for this disaster"
Xander slowly revealed a photograph to his superior, which was accepted. The Red Barons expression was unreadable behind his mask as he looked at the photograph of the platinum blonde haired girl smiling back at him.
"Of course it is this girl" he said.
"Is there anything I may do boss" Xander offered.
"NO". The Baron rose "I'll take care off her myself".
The doorbell rang
"Gina, can you get that please" Edward called out
"Can't sorry" his sister replied "I've got all these shelves to stack".
"Very well then" Edward told her, as he walked down the stairs and began the trek to the door.
Good grief it was a big house
Edward opened the door to a black haired girl in a purple dress.
"Good afternoon" the girl said curtly "have you moved in here?"
"Yes, that would be us"
"us?"
"My younger sister Gina and brother Jacob are with me"
"I see" the girl said "and who might you be"
"Edward Black"
"Violet Gray" the girl replied "resident of Grey manor. Which, I regretfully assure you, is still the better of our two homes here"
"I understand" Edward replied, unimpressed.
"I would also like, as a popular girl, to let you know about some other rules around Birchwood. One, wear a face mask around Pig Pen. Two, don't join the baseball team. And Three, don't associate with blockheads.
Now Edward was intrigued "Blockheads"
"Yeah, those idiots who think themselves on par with us. We've told them otherwise, but what can you do"
So this was one of those girls Maddison heard, Edward thought.
Time to test the waters.
"I heard some rumours" he said "about a plan for one of these blockheads"
"You did!" Violet looked surprised "from who"
"A whisper from a stranger, just like this one blockhead" he told her
That wasn't entirely true. Edward had recognised the name Charlie Brown.
Violet opened her mouth then closed it again
Cmon take the bait, Edward thought.
"If you are interested in these rumours" Violet finally told him "meet me at 8:00 tomorrow, the locker room"
Edward nodded. Both of them satisfied, Violet left him alone, leaving the manor.
This town had certainly been crazy, Edward summarised
But as he laid in a hot bath, clad in a wetsuit, trying to connect with a mystical spirit that lived in his mind, he thought that it kinda suited him.
From inside his mind, a voice called out to him
"Edward Black" it said
"Magna Sincerus" Edward replied
He pictured himself standing in front of an orange orb of light, clouded in dark green mist.
It spoke "There is a fear in my heart"
"Yes" Edward said
"This plot" Sincerus said "the one you have now known"
"I know, I'll find out more"
"Yes, please find out. Then you must stop it"
"I will" Edward said firmly
"YOU MUST" Sincerus told him "IF IT ISN'T, THEN THE LIVES I HAVE WATCHED OVER WILL BE RUINED".
"Sincerus. What would happen if I fail" Edward asked.
"I, will show you" the spirit replied.
And then a vision flashed in Edwards head, a horrible reality, of sorrow, anger, pain, revenge and everything else akin to those feelings. He did not want to describe the tragedy.
And then the vision ended, as horrible as when it began,
Edward gasped "I can't let that happen"
"And we won't" Sincerus said "not again"
"No"
"I fell akin to this town Edward. Here, I have been known and believed in" Sincerus paused.
Now Edward was confused.
"Sincerus. What could you possibly be known as in this town" Edward asked.
"I will tell you, but please, don't laugh"
"Okay" he promised
"I am known" Sincerus said "As the Great Pumpkin"
Edward broke his promise.
