Clarifying feelings

In a picturesque and magical setting, a scene unfolded that seemed to be extracted from a dream. The sun, like a tired titan after a day of splendor, began its slow descent towards the horizon. Its golden rays caressed the crystal-clear waters of the vast sea, drawing a brilliant trail that extended as far as the eye could see.

In that magical moment, two kindred souls were in complete communion with the surrounding nature. Their gazes intertwined, full of complicity and wonder, as the sun disappeared completely in the distance. A hint of melancholy could be seen in their eyes, knowing that the day was coming to an end, but also a spark of happiness danced on their lips, for they understood the ephemeral beauty of the moment.

The sky, a silent witness to this intimate scene, began to be tinged with twilight hues. The warm and gentle tones that had dominated the landscape during the day were giving way to the darkness of night. Gradually, the firmament transformed into a cosmic canvas, dotted with twinkling stars that rose majestically in the celestial mantle.

"The sunset always has a special charm from this place. I will never tire of witnessing this marvel," Sora said softly.

Aqua, moving delicately, moved away from Sora's shoulder, seeking a broader viewpoint.

"It's been a long time since I had the fortune to witness a sunset," she replied calmly, letting out a sigh of admiration.

A glimmer of complicity shone in Aqua's eyes as a sweet smile illuminated her face. She looked at Sora with tenderness and added, "Besides, your shoulder is really comfortable."

Sora, slightly puzzled by Aqua's statement, couldn't help but ask, "Really?"

Aqua nodded gently, letting out a playful giggle. "Yes, really," she responded, with an expression of complicity on her face. "Your shoulder feels like a little pillow, cozy and comforting." Her praise was genuine and simple.

Sora's smile widened, revealing the joy and gratitude that filled his being. "Well, I wouldn't mind if you want to lean on it again," he replied warmly, offering his shoulder as a safe refuge for Aqua.

Aqua, with a gentle and grateful look, nodded. "I'll keep that in mind," she said calmly.

The sun had completely submerged into the horizon, leaving a trail of warm colors that blurred over the vast sea. Sora, with a glimmer of anticipation in his eyes, turned to Aqua, eager to hear her thoughts about their journey through the mysterious Islands of Destiny.

"I guess that was the whole island tour. What did you think? Did you like it?" Sora asked, hoping to see a look of satisfaction and happiness on Aqua's face. He had put his utmost effort into showing her every special corner of that enchanted place, wishing for Aqua to find the same fascination and wonder he experienced with each visit.

However, Aqua's words resonated unexpectedly in the air, breaking the atmosphere of anticipation that had formed. "No," she replied, dry and direct, confusing Sora. His surprise was evident on his face, blinking several times as he tried to process his friend's negative response.

Before worry could fully take over him, Aqua let out a playful giggle, her smile lighting up her face. "I loved it!" she exclaimed enthusiastically, causing a sigh of relief to escape Sora's lips. He felt his heart return to its normal rhythm, relieved that Aqua had enjoyed the tour.

Aqua's response was a balm for Sora, flooding him with a sense of happiness and satisfaction. He observed how Aqua's eyes sparkled with excitement as she continued to speak. "The island has so many incredible things. When I was still traveling through the worlds for the first time, I didn't have the chance to explore them in detail," explained Aqua, reminiscing about those days when her responsibilities didn't allow her time for exploration.

Aqua nodded with a warm smile, allowing nostalgia to take over her voice. "Yes, besides, it was that little boy I met on these very islands who showed them to me," she confessed, as the image of the young, clumsy, and shy Sora delicately slipped into her mind. That encounter in the past, full of innocence and surprise, remained a special memory in Aqua's heart.

Sora, amused by the memory, let out a soft laugh. "Just this once, I'll accept you calling me that," he replied with complicity.

The young hero looked directly into Aqua's eyes, seeking sincerity in her words. "Tell me, do you still see me as that little kid?" he asked, his voice revealing a mix of curiosity and a hint of insecurity.

Aqua paused for a moment, her blue eyes reflecting a deep and serene gleam. "Of course not, silly," she responded with tenderness, with a certainty that extended beyond words. Those eyes that had looked at her with innocence in the past now radiated maturity and bravery. They had shared so many challenges, fought against darkness together, and grown as individuals.

A warm and reassuring smile spread across Sora's lips as he absorbed every word with gratitude.

Aqua gazed at Sora with a nostalgic and admiring look. She scanned every inch of his figure with her eyes, from his feet to the tip of his hair. He definitely wasn't that adorable and tender little kid she had known in the past. Now, he was someone completely different, taller, more mature, and possessed of overwhelming charisma. He had grown in every way, and each change in him seemed to have given him strength and a magnetic presence.

Yet, for Aqua, Sora always retained that adorable and tender aspect that inspired a desire to hug him and never let go. It was incredible how someone could grow and change so much, yet at the same time remain true to their essence. Sora was a unique combination of bravery, kindness, and determination, and Aqua couldn't help but feel proud.

She vividly remembered how Sora had been able to wield the Keyblade without suffering any harm. It hadn't been his training or combat skills that made him special, but his heart. Sora's pure and courageous heart had allowed him to wield the legendary weapon without fear or reservation. That boy had shown exceptional inner strength, becoming the first person Aqua knew who hadn't chosen to become a Keyblade warrior, but had been chosen by the Keyblade itself.

That spontaneous and astonishing choice by the Keyblade made it clear that Sora possessed an extraordinary heart, stronger and purer than any other. Even in his youth, his heart had radiated a light that had caught the attention of that mystical weapon. It was as if destiny had always prepared a special path for Sora, and Aqua couldn't help but feel happy and proud to have been part of his journey.

In every adventure, in every battle against the forces of darkness, Sora had shown unwavering bravery and boundless compassion towards others. There was a sparkle in his eyes that reflected his indomitable spirit and determination to protect his loved ones. Aqua knew the world was in good hands with Sora as its defender, as that child turned hero destined to make a difference.

"You look more mature," Aqua admitted, her voice filled with admiration and tenderness. "But your personality is just like that of your younger self."

Sora chuckled softly, shrugging playfully. "Why am I not surprised you say that?" he replied with a smile. There was something comforting in knowing that, despite all the changes and challenges they had experienced, their essence and connection remained the same.

"You know, Aqua, I would have liked to see how you were when you were little," Sora admitted with a playful smile.

Aqua, surprised by Sora's unexpected confession, arched an eyebrow with curiosity. "Why would you want that?" she asked, intrigued by the reason behind his curiosity.

Sora chuckled softly, his eyes reflecting genuine honesty. "Just curiosity, nothing more."

"Well, what do we do now?" Sora asked.

"I don't know. With the night, I don't think we can do much," Aqua sighed.

"The day flew by," Sora sighed, letting his disappointment show in his words. The fleeting nature of time seemed to magnify in that moment, reminding him of how ephemeral everything was. However, his determination to make the most of every moment remained intact. "Want to walk on the beach? It's the only thing I can think of," he suggested with a spark of enthusiasm in his voice.

"Sure, why not?" Aqua smiled, then watched as Sora climbed down the tree.

"Let's go," Sora said, extending his hand to help Aqua down from the palm tree. His chivalrous gesture didn't go unnoticed by Aqua, who accepted his hand gracefully and descended from the palm tree with elegance of her own.

The rhythmic sound of waves gently breaking on the shore filled the air, creating a tranquil symphony that blended with the whisper of the night breeze. Sora and Aqua walked in silence, allowing the serenity of the moment to wash over them. Each step they took on the soft sand felt like a caress for their tired feet, a comforting sensation that connected them with the earth itself.

Aqua stopped for a moment and looked around, amazed by the beauty of the night. The full moon shone in all its splendor, spreading its gentle silver light over the ocean and the beach. The stars, like little glimmers of hope, adorned the night sky, creating a brilliant tapestry that seemed to envelop them in its celestial magic.

"The sand is so soft... I hadn't noticed before," Aqua broke the silence, glancing down at her feet as she continued walking along the shoreline.

"How did you not notice that?" Sora asked, surprised by Aqua's revelation.

Aqua sighed, looking towards the horizon before responding. "At the party we had after we defeated Xehanort, I was never really present in the celebration. I kept lost in my thoughts, not allowing myself to truly enjoy that moment... I didn't have any fun that day at all," Aqua confessed with sincerity.

Sora fell silent for a moment, reflecting on Aqua's words. He remembered the party she referred to, full of joy and camaraderie among all their fellow warriors. It had been a moment to celebrate their victory and to remember that friendship and love were stronger than any darkness. But now he understood that, for Aqua, that celebration had not been as significant.

"Like at Mickey's party?" Sora asked, trying to confirm his suspicions, and Aqua simply nodded.

"Don't worry. There will be many more parties and celebrations where you can enjoy to the fullest, I promise," Sora said with a warm and sincere smile. Nodding, Aqua let out a small smile as she watched him.

"Look," Sora whispered softly, gracefully sitting on the sand, letting his hands slide slowly over his shoes, freeing his feet to breathe in the cool sea breeze. His eyes sparkled mischievously as he looked at Aqua.

"The sand feels even more exquisite without shoes," Sora added, releasing a radiant smile. He stood up, rising like a free spirit. "Come on, give it a try. I promise you'll be surprised."

Aqua resisted for a moment, battling her own doubts and fears. But in the end, the unwavering sparkle in Sora's eyes and his persistence softened her resistance. With a resigned sigh, she sat down next to him in the sand.

Aqua delicately slid her hands over the shiny metallic shoes covering her feet and gradually set them free, letting them bask in the open air. The breeze caressed her exposed toes, as if celebrating their liberation from the oppression of those suffocating shoes. Sora gave her a warm smile.

In a chivalrous gesture, Sora extended his hand towards her, offering his support to help her stand up. Without hesitation, Aqua accepted his kind offer and took Sora's hand, feeling the warmth of his palm against hers.

As Aqua stood up gracefully, the soft and warm sand caressed her bare feet, enveloping them in a pleasant sensation. Each grain of sand seemed to whisper secrets, giving her a feeling of grounding with the natural surroundings.

With a satisfied look, Aqua asked Sora, "Are you happy now?" He responded with a smile and a nod, gently releasing her hand. Aqua directed her attention to her bare feet, feeling the warm sand molding around them as they pressed against the ground.

"Yes, you're right, it feels incredible," Aqua affirmed, delighting in the sensation of the sand caressing each of her toes. The soft and cozy texture awakened an intimate connection with the nature around her. Although the sand still retained the warmth of the sun, Aqua enjoyed that pleasant feeling on her feet, like a comforting caress.

Encouraged by Aqua's positive response, Sora decided to take one step further in their sensory adventure. With determination and curiosity shining in his eyes, the young man ventured into the crystal-clear waters of the sea. The cool water embraced his feet, surrounding them with a refreshing and revitalizing hug.

"It feels wonderful," Sora exclaimed as he looked at Aqua.

"Come," whispered Sora, with a wide smile radiating pure excitement, as he extended his hand towards Aqua, inviting her to immerse herself in the magical experience that the nocturnal ocean had in store for them. The full moon shone overhead, spreading its silvery light over the graceful dark waves swaying gently.

Aqua looked at Sora with a hint of disbelief, her blue eyes reflecting her internal hesitation. A moment of doubt crossed her mind, but Sora's invitation seemed to have an undeniable magnetism. Finally, after taking a deep breath, she decided to embrace the adventurous and curious spirit that had always resided in her heart.

"No, I'm not sure," Aqua replied with a trembling voice, shaking her head in denial.

"Don't be like that, Aqua," said Sora with a tone of voice filled with sadness, conveying his deep disappointment. His eyes reflected a profound yearning as he gazed at Aqua with a mix of hope and melancholy.

Sora kept his gaze fixed on Aqua, patiently waiting for her response. The glimmer in his eyes showed the sincere invitation he offered to share that special experience in the sea together. Aqua wrestled with her initial resistance, but seeing the sadness reflected in Sora's face, her determination began to weaken.

"I can't resist that look," Aqua whispered to herself, feeling her heart soften at the tenderness emanating from Sora.

Aqua waded further into the water, feeling it slowly rise up her legs. The coolness of the cold water enveloped her, causing a shiver to run through her entire body. A small and tender moan escaped her lips as her feet submerged completely into the sea.

"Is this all part of your plan, huh?" Aqua asked, looking at Sora with a mix of amusement and curiosity in her eyes.

Sora chuckled softly, enjoying the expression of surprise on Aqua's face. "Perhaps yes, perhaps no," he responded enigmatically, letting his playful smile expand on his face.

Aqua intertwined her fingers with Sora's, seeking some stability in this new aquatic environment.

"Now the sea looks so dark," Aqua whispered with a shiver running down her spine. Her eyes lost themselves in the distance as she gazed at the turbulent waters lying before them. That sight evoked memories of the realm of darkness, where she had been trapped for so long, alone and helpless. There, the sea always appeared as a gloomy and oppressive abyss, immersed in a depressing darkness that seemed to swallow all hope.

As Aqua was lost in those somber thoughts, she felt Sora squeeze her hand a little more firmly, but with an undeniable display of affection.

"Hey, what did I tell you about dwelling on the past?" Sora inquired with a gentle yet firm tone as their gazes intertwined in a significant encounter. Under Sora's gaze, Aqua felt the strength of his words resonating within her. She knew that Sora was right; holding onto the past would only prevent them from moving forward and enjoying the present.

"Yes, the sea is dark," Sora admitted sincerely, averting his gaze towards the vast marine horizon. The panorama conveyed a sense of mystery and melancholy, but Sora refused to be overshadowed by that darkness. He lifted his gaze to the night sky, and a hopeful smile appeared on his face. "But..." Sora continued, his voice filled with conviction, "there's a light that illuminates it."

Following Sora's gaze, Aqua observed the majesty of the moon, radiant and full of mystery amidst the starry night. The silvery light emanating from the moon gently illuminated the dark waters, creating enigmatic sparkles that broke the monotony and revealed hidden beauty.

Aqua felt her worries slowly dissipate, replaced by renewed confidence. Sora's eyes seemed to penetrate the depths of her being, and the glow in them radiated an energy and certainty that enveloped her.

"There's no need to fear, Aqua, right?" Sora asked, seeking to find that same assurance reflected in Aqua's eyes. The young master remained silent for a moment, feeling Sora's words resonating within her. Finally, she responded with a soft smile and a glimmer of determination in her gaze.

"No, there's no need to fear," Aqua affirmed with conviction, letting her voice blend with the sea breeze.

"Good," Sora replied with a gentle smile, nodding slightly at Aqua's suggestion. He was willing to enjoy that moment of special connection, without rushing or worries that could interrupt their closeness. He began to gently release Aqua's hand, but to his surprise, he felt her firmly hold onto his grip, preventing them from parting completely.

"Can we stay like this for a while?" Aqua's timid voice gently echoed in the air, creating a delicate echo that enveloped Sora. Her words seemed to contain a mix of longing and vulnerability, and Sora felt his heart moved by that sincere plea. A warm smile spread across his face as he responded:

"Yes, if that's what you want," Sora murmured while intertwining his hand with Aqua's. Their connection strengthened, enveloping them in an atmosphere of complicity and affection. Sora could feel Aqua's heartbeat through their joined hands, a synchrony that reminded them of the depth of their bond.

His words were like a melodic echo filling the air. "Your wish is my command, Aqua," Sora whispered with captivating sweetness, his eyes gleaming with tenderness and his lips curved into a tender and affectionate smile.

And so, with each step they took together, Aqua and Sora walked the path of life, entwining their hands with an inexplicable and profound bond. The night's gaze, personified in the blue moon, tenderly observed the union of their hands, a silent witness to their unique connection. In that moment, all the emotions Aqua had experienced when she first held Sora's hand rushed back to her with overwhelming force: a warm comfort, an absolute sense of security, and an unconditional love that transcended words.

As they continued along the path, stretching before them like a dark abyss, Aqua felt all her thoughts and dark past gradually fade away. It was as if at that precise moment, she was leaving behind everything that had tormented her, finding a fresh start in the reassuring embrace of the illuminated darkness. A bright and resplendent light rose before her, guiding her with its gentle glow, promising her that she would never fall into darkness again.

That light, wrapped in intense radiance, walked by her side, never letting go of her hand for a single moment. It was a light that not only illuminated her path but also dispelled all creatures of fear and dread lurking in the shadows. With unwavering determination, that light boldly made its way through the path of darkness, protecting her and banishing any shadow that dared to stand in their way.

In that sublime moment, filled with infinite love and gratitude, Aqua whispered softly but with profound meaning, "that I love..." Her words resonated in the air, like an echo of her soul entwined with Sora's, sealing their love for eternity. That light, that light was before her, the light illuminating her path, the light holding her hand, that light made her smile again, and that light will never leave her side...

"Sora..." Aqua murmured as her eyes locked onto his, diving into the depths of those profound blues. In that instant, the world around them faded away, leaving only the two of them connected by an invisible yet powerful thread.

In Sora's gaze, Aqua found that light radiating calmness and concern, the light that always enveloped and protected her. It was him, the boy whose name had become synonymous with hope, the boy who was willing to do anything for her, the boy who constantly reminded her of her own worth and strength. That light that guided her through the darkness, not only illuminating her path but also brightening her heart.

Aqua realized that Sora was much more than a friend or an adventure companion. He had become her confidante, her unconditional support, her emotional pillar. Amidst these profound thoughts, her heart filled with certainty, and she knew with overwhelming clarity that she loved him with all her soul.

It was a love that transcended words, a pure and selfless feeling that manifested in every beat of her heart. Loving Sora meant entrusting him with her fears and vulnerabilities, allowing him to delve into the depths of her being and finding solace in his warm and protective embrace. With him, Aqua had discovered a new dimension of herself, a dimension filled with happiness, understanding, and acceptance.

"Aqua?" Sora asked, and Aqua simply blinked several times to return to reality. Before her stood Sora, with an expression of total confusion and concern.

"Are you okay? You stopped and then just stared off into space. Then you said something, but I couldn't quite catch it. Are you okay? Are you feeling unwell?" Sora asked repeatedly.

"No, it's just... it's just that right now, I'm very happy," Aqua admitted, smiling widely and confusing and delighting Sora at the same time.

"Oh, I see," he smiled, knowing that Aqua was happy, something he could tell from her smile. "Is there any particular reason?" Sora asked.

"It's just... I just realized something very important," Aqua replied simply.

"What is it?" Sora asked again.

"Maybe I'll tell you in the future," Aqua said with a soft smile, never taking her eyes off him.

"Oh, okay, Aqua," Sora said, squeezing Aqua's hand tighter. "Let's keep walking, it's quite relaxing."

"Yes, it's quite relaxing," Aqua admitted.

As they continued walking along the beach, Aqua felt her heart fill with gratitude and admiration for Sora. She had fully accepted that, behind his powerful and regal appearance, there was also a vulnerable woman who needed to be loved and understood. Sora had been that light in her life, illuminating the darkest corners of her being and freeing her from her own torments.

She remembered that book she had read in the past, where Zack saved Aerith from her suffering. At that moment, she realized that Sora was her own hero, the protagonist of her own story, and she was the recipient of his love and protection. Like in fairy tales, Sora had come into her life to rescue her from the shadows and lead her to happiness.

The night breeze caressed their faces as they continued walking together, like two souls who had found their refuge in each other. Aqua felt a deep and special connection with Sora, a connection that transcended words and manifested in every glance, every affectionate gesture, and every step they took together.

As they ventured further into the darkness of the night, the light that Sora radiated shone even brighter. It was as if his love and determination acted as a shield against any threat that might arise. Aqua knew that, with him by her side, there was nothing to fear.

In that moment, as her bare feet sank into the warm water, Aqua realized that she had not only found a battle companion but a life companion. Sora was her most valuable ally, someone who would always be by her side, no matter what they faced together.

"Thank you, Sora," Aqua whispered.

"Thanks? Why are you thanking me?" Sora asked, confused.

"For everything... seriously, thank you, Sora," Aqua said.

"You don't have to thank me for anything, Aqua. If you're referring to dealing with your fears, I told you I'll do it because you're the most important person to me now," Sora admitted.

"Seriously, I don't know how to repay you for everything you do for me," Aqua said, and Sora shook his head.

"Let that go, you don't have to repay me or thank me," Sora said as he released Aqua's hand and stopped alongside her. Then, with the same hand, he placed it on Aqua's head and began to caress her gently and affectionately. "Just knowing that you're happy is enough for me," Sora admitted with a sweet smile.

Aqua gazed at Sora's expression, with her eyes filled with warmth and sincerity, as his fingers toyed with her hair. The soft and affectionate touch enveloped her in a comforting sensation, as if each caress reminded her that she was not alone, that she had someone willing to take care of her.

"You're definitely someone special, Sora," Aqua affirmed with a tender smile on her lips.

"Anyway, how about we head back home?" Sora whispered with a slight smile on his lips, seeking Aqua's complicity.

Together, Sora and Aqua hurried to put on their shoes, feeling the difference between the roughness of the sand and the smoothness of the footwear. Each step they took reminded them of the adventure they had lived, the moments of laughter and shared discoveries. And although the drops of water still clung to their skin, serving as a refreshing reminder, they also reminded them of the need to protect themselves from the cold that could cause a cold. With determined steps, they headed toward the coastal home of Sora, Riku, and Kairi.

"We're back," Sora announced as he opened the door with Aqua behind him, maintaining a wide smile on his face. The cozy atmosphere of the house welcomed them with open arms, and the air seemed to sigh with relief at their return.

Terra, sitting on the sofa next to Riku, greeted them with a warm and curious look in his eyes. The sound of their voices mingled with the gentle clinking of glasses as they enjoyed refreshing drinks, creating an atmosphere of serenity.

"Yeah, we had a great time," Sora replied, letting out a playful laugh as he took a seat on one of the sofas, inviting Aqua to do the same beside him. The comfort of the furniture was like a gentle embrace, as if the couch recognized them as an essential part of the home. They sat down, allowing their bodies to relax and their thoughts to blend with the cozy surroundings.

Sora's curiosity was immediately piqued, and his eyes turned toward the kitchen when Kairi and Ven were mentioned. Kairi's voice resonated from that corner, with a friendly and warm tone that always infused peace into Sora's heart. His smile broadened knowing that Kairi was there, dedicated to preparing a delicious dinner, and Ven, the trusted friend of all, was lending his help.

"We're here," Kairi called from the kitchen, capturing the attention of everyone present.

Sora's willingness to help was always present, his genuine desire to contribute. He couldn't help but ask if they needed assistance, offering his support without hesitation. Kairi's response was kind and appreciative, assuring him that they were almost done and didn't need any more help.

"Fortunately, Ven kindly offered to help me in the kitchen, and I must admit he's very good," Kairi acknowledged with a slight smile on her face.

"It's no big deal," Ven replied modestly, peeking shyly from the kitchen. "At home, Terra, Aqua, and I take turns cooking," he added, sticking his head out of the kitchen door.

"Anyway, Sora, could you do me a big favor and prepare some blankets and pillows for them?" Kairi kindly asked, aware that their friends would need a comfortable place to rest.

Sora furrowed his brow, confused by Kairi's request. Aqua also looked at Terra and Riku, searching for some answers. "Uh? Are they staying over?" Sora asked, trying to understand the situation.

Terra nodded and replied, "Yes, I thought it would be a good idea. Riku and Kairi had no problem with it." As he spoke, Terra exchanged a knowing look with Riku.

Sora couldn't contain his excitement upon hearing Terra's words. He smiled broadly and stood up from the couch he was sitting on. "That's awesome!" he exclaimed excitedly. "I'll go get everything they need, Kairi!"

With a smile on her face, Aqua said, "I'll accompany you," offering to help Sora.

Gracefully, she got up from the couch and followed Sora through the corners of the house. Together, they arrived at a cozy room where gleaming cleaning appliances like a dryer and a washing machine were placed. But what caught their attention the most was an impressive shelf filled with soft blankets and pillows, all carefully arranged and folded with care. The atmosphere exuded comfort and tranquility, inviting them to immerse themselves in a sea of coziness. Undoubtedly, that corner of the house promised a heavenly experience for Sora and his companion.

"Hold this for me, please, Aqua," Sora asked as he handed her three blankets. "We're lucky to have three spare rooms," Sora admitted as he took three pillows. "Otherwise, they would have to sleep in the living room," he said.

"Well, that's fortunate," Aqua replied.

"The only thing is that they'll have to sleep in hammocks," Sora replied.

"Hammocks?" Aqua asked.

"Yeah, well, you know, the three of us won't have any more beds, but don't worry, they're very comfortable," Sora said as he placed the pillows on top of the washing machine.

"Oh, okay," Aqua said as she put the blankets on the dryer. "Tell me, will you be stargazing tonight?"

"Why the question?" Sora asked as he brought down some extra blankets, just in case they needed more. "Do you want to see the stars with me again?" Sora asked.

"Is there a problem if I do?" Aqua asked.

"None at all," Sora said, smiling as he gathered the six sheets in his hands. "So, do you want to stargaze with me?" Sora asked.

"Yes, with you, of course I do," Aqua said as she picked up the pillows.

"Great, ten minutes after everyone's in their rooms?" Sora suggested, walking towards the exit.

"Sure, just don't fall asleep," Aqua warned, following Sora with a smile.

"I promise," Sora said with a grin.

in a friendly manner by both. They made sure that each room was in order and without issues so that everyone could have a good night's sleep. After finishing in the rooms, they returned to the living room and felt fortunate to see that the others were already setting the table for dinner together.

"Oh, it looks delicious," exclaimed Sora, his eyes shining with anticipation as his mouth began to water at the sight of the exquisite food laid out on the table. "It's been so long since we had pasta," he added, letting out a nostalgic sigh as he settled into his seat, surrounded by Aqua and the rest of his friends, who were also eagerly awaiting the start of dinner.

But this was no ordinary pasta; it was a carbonara pasta, and Kairi was proud of her recent creation. "Ven helped me make it. Who would have thought you knew how to make it," Kairi remarked, infusing the air with a tone of surprise and admiration.

"It's not that big of a deal," Ven replied modestly, with a shy smile on his face. "Anyone with a recipe book can make it, guys. Besides, Kairi did all the work, I just gave her some directions," he admitted, acknowledging his friend's skill and effort.

Riku chimed in with gratitude in his voice: "Well, anyway, thank you both."

Riku carefully brought a bit of the carbonara pasta to his mouth, using a fork to ensure that every element of the dish was fully appreciated. With an expression of anticipation, he savored each bite slowly, allowing the flavors to mix on his palate while the intoxicating aroma filled his nose. All eyes were on him, especially those of Kairi and Ventus, who were eagerly awaiting their friend's reaction.

"Mmm, bon appétit!" Riku said with his mouth slightly full, letting out a sigh of satisfaction. He continued to chew, savoring each bite with delight, as a smile formed on his face. His friends watched attentively, waiting for his reaction, hoping that the meal they had prepared with such care would meet his expectations.

Suddenly, Riku's eyes widened in surprise at the explosion of flavor he experienced. It was as if each ingredient had merged into a symphony of tastes in his mouth. The perfectly cooked pasta, the creamy sauce, the crispy bacon pieces, and the gratinated cheese blended together perfectly, creating an exceptional culinary experience.

"Wow! This is excellent, guys!" exclaimed Riku, his voice full of enthusiasm and admiration. The smile on his face reflected his genuine delight, alleviating the concerns of Kairi and Ventus. Their efforts and dedication in preparing the meal had paid off, and the result was a dish that exceeded all expectations.

Kairi and Ventus breathed a sigh of relief, exchanging looks of joy and satisfaction. They had managed to create something special, something that not only pleased Riku's taste buds but also touched his heart. Their meal was not just a combination of ingredients; it was an expression of love and care that manifested in every bite.

Without wasting any time, Sora took the lead, eager to enjoy the delicious carbonara pasta as well. With a determined expression on his face, he exclaimed without hesitation, "Alright, time to eat!" inviting everyone to indulge in this shared culinary experience.

Sora, following the example of the others, began savoring his portion of carbonara pasta while the buzz of conversations and laughter filled the room. Joy was palpable in the air, and every bite of food seemed to strengthen the bonds of friendship that united them. The smiling faces of Aqua, Riku, Kairi, Ven, and Terra were a reflection of the happiness they shared in that moment.

However, there were two people at the table who couldn't help but feel especially happy: Ventus and Terra. For a long time, they had seen Aqua struggle with her own inner demons, suffering in silence and distancing herself from the company of others. But that night, everything had changed. The aura of sadness and melancholy that used to surround her had dissipated, and in its place, the spark of happiness and vitality that once characterized her had been reborn.

Seeing Aqua smile, converse, and enjoy the company of her friends again was an invaluable gift for Ventus and Terra.

After dinner, Sora took on the task of washing the dirty dishes, as it was his turn according to the established rotation. As he immersed himself in the task, he began to hum a cheerful melody, trying to entertain himself as he worked quickly. He had only three plates left to clean when suddenly, Aqua, the female figure with blue hair, silently appeared at the kitchen door.

"How's it going?" Aqua asked, her soft voice resonating in the air and capturing Sora's attention as he turned his gaze to the right to see Aqua peeking through that side.

"Doing well," Sora replied, letting out a small laugh. "It's not that complicated; I'll be done in a few minutes."

Aqua, with a serene expression, said, "I see... Can I help you?" The genuine offer of help in her voice didn't go unnoticed by Sora.

"What? Not at all, Aqua! You're our guest," Sora replied, courteously refusing to accept her offer of help.

Aqua gazed at Sora steadily, her look filled with determination. "And so what?" she asked softly.

Sora pondered for a moment, understanding Aqua's sincerity. "Hey, I just want to help," Aqua admitted, showing her persistence.

Sora, with a warm smile, gently booped Aqua's nose affectionately. "I know, but this time, let me handle it," he said, conveying his gratitude for Aqua's kindness.

After a few more minutes, Sora finally finished washing the remaining three plates and dried his hands with a towel. Aqua had been watching him attentively throughout the process, grateful for his kindness and willingness to take on the task.

"Ready?" Aqua asked, seeking confirmation.

"Yes," Sora replied with a smile. "Now it's time to go to bed," he added as he headed towards the kitchen exit.

However, Aqua had one more question in mind. "And the stars?" she asked curiously, recalling their plan to stargaze together.

"Of course, we'll see them, silly," Sora replied with a playful laugh. "Remember, we have to wait until everyone is asleep," he reminded her, aware of the need to keep their plan a secret. "Let's go," he urged, inviting her to follow him out of the kitchen.

With the atmosphere calm and serene, everyone else prepared for sleep, ready to wake up the next day. Sora and Aqua headed to their respective rooms, sharing a knowing look before parting ways to rest.

Time passed slowly as they waited patiently. Ten minutes after everyone had sunk into the sweet embrace of sleep.

"Well, ten minutes have passed," Aqua whispered to herself, feeling how time seemed to pass slowly. She slowly got out of bed, trying not to make any noise that could disrupt the stillness of the place. Each step she took was calculated and precise, as if she were gliding over the floor in search of something valuable.

"I hope Sora wants to hear this story," Aqua whispered softly, as if the book itself could hear her. A sweet and serene smile graced her face as she envisioned the scene of both of them sitting outside.

Starting to walk through the house, Aqua headed straight to the living room. Each step she took resonated softly in the silence that enveloped the house.

After walking for a few moments, she finally arrived at the living room. She stopped at the entrance, surveying the empty space. A sigh escaped her lips, a mix of tranquility and a hint of uncertainty. "I guess I'll have to wait for him," Aqua murmured to herself, accepting that Sora wasn't there yet.

"Aqua?" a voice called out to her, making her tense up at the sound of the masculine voice behind her. Slowly, she turned her gaze to that voice and found Terra holding a glass of water, looking at her with quite some confusion.

"T-Terra?" Aqua stammered, trying to quickly come up with an excuse for why she was there.

"How's it going? I was having a glass of water," Terra explained, taking a sip from the glass. "Do you want one too?" he asked kindly.

"N-No, I'm good," Aqua replied, relieved she didn't have to explain her presence at that moment.

"I see," Terra said as he approached Aqua. "You seemed more spirited than usual today, and Ven and I are quite glad about that," he added, smiling and downplaying the reason why Aqua was there.

"Really?" Aqua asked, surprised by Terra's positive response.

"Of course, silly. Do you know how long it's been since we saw you this happy?" Terra asked.

"I don't know, not long?" Aqua replied, unsure how much time had passed since she felt so happy.

"Haha, sure. I'm glad to know that Miss 'I'm depressed 24/7' is very happy," Terra joked, letting out a small laugh.

"Hey," Aqua huffed, playfully punching Terra's shoulder but with a smile on her face. "I wasn't always depressed," she admitted.

"Haha, yeah, but seriously, I'm glad to see your spirits are lifting," Terra said, gently patting Aqua's head. "Ven and I were really worried seeing you so sad all the time," he admitted, removing his hand from Aqua's head.

"I know," Aqua whispered, grateful for the support and understanding that Terra and Ven had always provided.

"Aqua... I understand this might catch you off guard, but I wonder if you've reflected on... you know, us," Terra inquired unexpectedly.

Aqua fell silent, gazing at the tall boy in front of her. Terra's words had taken Aqua by surprise, and her mind began to ponder on what he had just asked. Terra, the boy she had once been in love with in the past, the boy she had felt a deep affection for, especially after everything that had happened with Xehanort.

But as time passed and memories faded, Aqua realized she no longer felt the same way about Terra. The vision of him as Xehanort had gradually disappeared from her memory, but her emotional connection had also changed. The romantic spark she had once felt for him had transformed into something different.

Aqua found herself in a state of clarity as she reflected on her current feelings. She no longer saw Terra as a romantic interest but rather as a battle companion, as an older brother she trusted and had shared so many experiences with. She felt a deep affection for him, but it wasn't the type of love Terra was hinting at with his question.

Aqua took a brief breath before continuing, her eyes fixed on Terra, trying to fully capture his attention. The vision of Xehanort, that dark alter ego that once inhabited Terra, began to slowly fade from her mind. Although the scars were still present, she no longer saw Terra as an extension of that evil being. However, her feelings had evolved, transforming into something more complex and difficult to define.

"My love for you has changed, Terra," Aqua confessed with a trembling voice. Her words revealed the internal turmoil she had experienced. "Terra... I'll be honest with you. When everything with Xehanort happened, I thought we could be together as I always wanted, to be a family, you, me, and Ven. But... I couldn't stop seeing you as Xehanort. Every time you kissed me or hugged me, I felt like it wasn't you doing those actions, but Xehanort."

The atmosphere filled with a dense silence as Aqua poured out her feelings with sincerity. Her words, laden with emotion and nostalgia, hung in the air like melancholic sighs. Terra, with a serene expression but his eyes fixed on Aqua, delved into the depth of her words, trying to understand the complexity of her feelings.

"Now, that vision of Xehanort is fading. I no longer see you as Xehanort. But, Terra, my feelings for you have changed. I loved you... I loved you so much, more than you can imagine. I can't deny it. I always dreamed of being together, you, me, and Ven, a happy family. I clung to that dream, hoping against all odds that it could still come true. But unfortunately, it just couldn't... it just couldn't."

"I'm sorry, Terra, but I no longer feel anything for you beyond friendship," Aqua confessed. Her words resonated in the air with an echo of sincerity and regret.

Truly, she felt it, blaming herself for not being able to fulfill what she once dreamed of. That illusion of being together, of forming a family with Ven, faded before her eyes. People change, and she herself had undergone a profound transformation.

Although she tried to reciprocate Terra's feelings, though she attempted to accept the emotions he professed, Aqua knew deep down that it wouldn't be the same as true love. She recognized that she would only be deceiving herself, forcing a feeling that no longer existed in her heart. Sadness reflected in her eyes as she apologized, knowing that she was breaking the dream they once shared.

After uttering those painful words, Aqua lowered her head, avoiding eye contact with Terra. She couldn't bear to see his sad and hurt expression because she knew it was her fault. Every word she spoke caused deep pain, even though the love that once existed between them had faded. The weight of the truth was overwhelming, and finding comfort in that moment was difficult.

"I'm truly sorry," Aqua whispered in a final breath, barely audible.

Terra, on his part, observed Aqua intently. Without saying a word, he turned on his heels and placed the glass he was holding on a nearby table. Then, with determined movements, he approached Aqua again. His eyes reflected a mix of sadness and understanding. Without hesitation, he embraced her, trying to silently convey his support and comfort. In that gesture, he tried to tell her that even though the love had vanished, their friendship remained, that he would always be there for her in her pain and that he accepted her just as she was, even if it meant letting go of his own feelings.

"You have nothing to apologize for, silly," Terra whispered affectionately, trying to alleviate the guilt Aqua carried.

"I can't make you love me. I'll be honest with you, I love you, and I still love you to this day," Terra continued with a choked voice. "But now that you mention it, I respect it. I respect your decision not to love me and to feel only friendship or a sibling bond. I know you're a different person from who you were in the past."

His words carried with them the resignation and acceptance of a reality that hurt deeply. Terra shared his own dreams of forming a family together, of being the three of them as a true unit. However, his voice broke, and a single tear escaped his eyes as he spoke.

It was evident that this pain affected him more than any battle he could have faced. Yet, Terra understood that he couldn't change Aqua's feelings. He could only accept that she no longer loved him and find happiness in her well-being, no matter who she might end up with in the future. After all, the three of them would be bound together forever, right?

Aqua silently nodded, unable to find the right words to express her gratitude for Terra's understanding and unconditional love. In that moment, both of them held each other tightly, seeking comfort and mutual support. Their hearts melted in that embrace, finding solace in the friendship and eternal bond that united them, even if romantic love had faded.

"Thank you for understanding, Terra..." Aqua whispered with gratitude, feeling the weight of her words in the air.

"You don't have to thank me for anything," Terra responded, wiping away a treacherous tear sliding down his cheek. They pulled away from the hug, both aware that they needed this moment of clarity and honesty. "Phew, this little talk was definitely necessary, huh?" Terra added, trying to lighten the mood with a gentle smile. Aqua could only muster a small smile in response, still processing everything they had shared.

"Yes," Aqua affirmed softly, letting her words float in the space between them.

"Alright, I'll go back to bed. Goodnight, Aqua," Terra said as he turned around and headed towards his room.

As Aqua watched the person she had loved for so many years and always wished to have by her side slowly walk away, her heart filled with a mix of nostalgia and resignation. The love that had once stolen her heart faded with every step Terra took, leaving Aqua only watching from a distance as that dreamed-of love dissipated before her eyes. It was the end of a chapter, the end of the love she had yearned for so much.

"By the way, please, you and Sora don't stay out too late," Terra added cheerfully, breaking the silence and hinting at the possibility that another love could blossom.

"H-how did you...?" Aqua stammered, surprised to discover that Terra knew about her little escapade with Sora.

Terra let out a soft laugh as he walked down the hallway, heading to his room. The mysterious smile on his face made it clear that there was more to the situation than met the eye.

"Foolish," Aqua whispered with a smile on her lips as she let out a sigh. She felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders after speaking and confessing everything to Terra. She felt completely liberated. Perhaps the support Sora had provided had given her the courage to face the situation and open her heart.

Her solitude didn't last long as, in an instant, her eyes were completely covered from behind.

"Who am I?" a kind and cheerful voice echoed in Aqua's ears.

"I know it's you, Sora," Aqua smiled and gently removed the hands of the boy from her face, revealing his radiant face.

"Aw, you could have at least tried to play along!" Sora said with a pout as he peeked in front of Aqua, who just let out a small laugh. Then.

"Have you been waiting long?" Sora asked.

"No, I arrived not long ago," Aqua replied sincerely. Sora's presence brought her a sense of joy and companionship, dispelling any trace of loneliness she might have felt.

"Uh?" Sora said, noticing the book Aqua was holding in her hands. "And what's that book?" Sora pointed at Aqua's book with his finger.

"Oh, well, I thought it would be nice to bring this book. It's a story I really like, and I thought you would like it too," Aqua explained.

"Oh, cool," Sora said with a smile. "Then we'll have more fun. What a great idea you had, Aqua!" Sora praised.

"It's not that big of a deal," Aqua said, smiling shyly. She felt a little embarrassed to receive Sora's compliment.

"Ready to stargaze with me?" Sora asked, offering his hand to Aqua, who simply smiled and took it gently.

"Of course," Aqua responded with enthusiasm.

So, both of them left the house, walking through the dark night adorned with several stars shining in the sky, accompanied by a beautiful and radiant full moon. It was a truly beautiful night to behold, and Aqua and Sora knew it well. They decided to head to one of Sora's favorite spots, a special corner where they would have the best view of the stars. Additionally, a nearby palm tree offered a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the celestial show.

Once they arrived at the spot, they settled on the low branches of the palm tree, surrounded by a tranquil and serene atmosphere.

"There are so many stars," the young hero mentioned in amazement, his eyes captivated by the grandeur of the sky. Sitting in the warm comfort of the palm tree, Sora shared this special moment with Aqua, who also admired the celestial spectacle without diverting her gaze from the starry horizon. Both of them allowed themselves to be enveloped by the grandeur of the night.

"It's truly a beautiful night," Sora confessed, letting out a whisper filled with emotion and gratitude towards the wonder that stretched above them.

"Without a doubt, tonight is perfect," affirmed Aqua, pronouncing each word with reverence as her eyes subtly shifted towards Sora. The young man still kept his gaze fixed on the infinite starry universe, unable to divert his attention.

Suddenly, interrupting that moment of shared astonishment, Aqua caught Sora's attention by softly and affectionately calling his name. "Hey, Sora..." she called in a gentle tone, creating a brief moment of suspense in the air.

Upon hearing his name, Sora turned his gaze towards Aqua, showing curiosity and interest in her question. "Yes?" he responded, looking for clues in Aqua's eyes about the reason for her call. "Is something wrong?" he added with a hint of concern in his voice, eager to know what had captured her attention amidst that enchanting celestial scene.

"Well, I... wanted to ask you something," Aqua began with a serene yet anxious tone. "I have a doubt, something that has been gnawing at me lately, but I haven't had much time to reflect on it," she confessed, revealing the intensity of her tangled thoughts and emotions.

Sora, paying close attention, tilted his head to the right, showing his confusion and curiosity, waiting for Aqua to continue speaking, hoping to discover the reason for her unease.

"You see, it's about a story I recently read," Aqua disguised, trying to hide her true intention. She knew that this could be the perfect moment to find out if Sora felt the same way about her or if, on the contrary, she should remain silent to avoid risking the beautiful bond they had forged together. However, she chose not to address the matter directly and instead opted for a fictional story as a vehicle to express her feelings.

"Oh, okay, tell me," Sora replied, offering his support and genuine curiosity. "Maybe I can help you resolve that doubt," he added, hoping that his response could provide clarity and comfort to Aqua in that moment of uncertainty.

Aqua took a deep breath, filling her lungs with air before exhaling slowly, preparing herself to share her concerns. "Well, you see... it's a rather peculiar story," she began, carefully choosing her words. "It's about a boy named Snow and a girl named Serah. In one of the chapters, Serah realizes that she loves Snow with all her heart," she continued, letting the words slip smoothly from her lips.

"However, the problem is that now Serah is afraid. She's scared that Snow may not feel the same way about her, and she fears that confessing her feelings could jeopardize the beautiful bond they've built together," Aqua explained, allowing her words to flow with a mix of subtlety and emotion. Her eyes, though concealing her true purpose, anxiously sought any sign in Sora's expression, hoping to find the answer in his gaze or the words he might share next.

Sora remained silent, lost in his own thoughts. As was typical of him, he placed both hands behind his head, a posture that indicated deep reflection. He closed his eyes for a few moments, letting his thoughts intertwine with the gentle night breeze. Finally, he opened his eyes, and a warm smile illuminated his face.

"Well, I think Serah should take a risk instead of worrying so much," Sora admitted, his smile persisting as he lowered his hands from his head. "Who knows, perhaps this Snow person loves her just as much as she loves him. No matter how strong the feeling in your heart is, if you don't convey it to the other person, it's pointless, or at least that's what I believe," he concluded, releasing his words with a serenity and wisdom that transcended his young age.

Absorbed in Sora's words, Aqua whispered in response, "I see..." Her thoughts danced inside her as she assimilated every word spoken by her friend. Sora seemed to have a clear and honest perspective on feelings and relationships.

"Serah just needs to gather courage and find the right moment to express her feelings to Snow," Sora continued, conveying an inspiring enthusiasm in his voice. His eyes sparkled with determination and confidence in the power of communication.

"But, if it takes Serah a little time to confess her feelings to Snow, will he wait for her?" Aqua questioned, concerned about the uncertainty that time might create.

"Yes, if he truly loves her, it doesn't matter if it's seconds, minutes, hours, days, or years. If he truly loves her, he'll wait as long as necessary," explained Sora, his voice full of a sweetness and understanding that moved Aqua. A gentle smile formed on Aqua's face as she listened to these comforting and hopeful words.

The right moment... those words echoed in Aqua's mind, immersing her in a torrent of emotions and memories. Since that first encounter with Sora on these very islands, she never imagined that the little boy would become someone so fundamental in her life. She remembered the sparkle in Sora's eyes during that Mickey party, a fleeting connection that seemed destined to fade away with time. However, everything changed since her escape from the Realm of Darkness.

Inside, Aqua had resigned herself to a gray and lonely existence. After abandoning her old identity and immersing herself in coldness and seriousness as a defense mechanism, she believed her life was destined for eternal darkness. But then, Sora returned. He, once again, assumed the role of a savior, not from external enemies like the Heartless, Organization XIII, or even Xehanort, but from herself. With his presence, Sora rescued her from sadness, despair, negativity, and the doubts that consumed her.

When Sora took her hand at that party, it was as if he had injected a burst of color and joy into her life once again. It was him who managed to bring back the lost happiness, who showed unwavering support and friendship time and time again. And now, all that was left for her was to wait, just as he had suggested in his wise response.

"Well, I hope I've cleared up your doubts about that, Aqua," Sora responded with a mix of confidence and humility in his voice.

"You did, thank you, S-Sora," Aqua said as she watched her friend adopt his typical angry expression, which she knew was a small tantrum about his nickname.

"Stop calling me 'kid'..." Sora retorted playfully.

"Hey, but you didn't even finish the sentence, so you can't complain," Aqua replied with a amused smile on her face, enjoying the verbal banter they shared.

"Fine, fine, you win this time," Sora sighed, acknowledging Aqua's victory as she smiled with satisfaction. Then, Aqua watched as Sora reached for the book she had brought and handed it to her.

"I think it's a good time to read, don't you think?" Sora asked with a beautiful smile on his face. Aqua nodded and opened the book to the first page, noticing that her friend wasn't an avid reader. However, she was willing to share this experience with him.

"Who said you're going to read? I'll read to you," Aqua declared with determination, showing her desire to immerse herself in the narrative and share that intimate moment of reading.

"Uh? N-no, of course not!" exclaimed Sora with some anxiety, and Aqua was a bit confused by her friend's unexpected reaction. Did the idea of her reading to him bother him?

"Why not?" Aqua asked, trying to understand the reasons behind Sora's refusal.

"Then you'll start making fun of me! I know you, you'll start saying things like 'now you really look like a kid enjoying a story' or 'weren't you saying you're not a kid?' I know you, Aqua," Sora said with a mix of caution and vulnerability in his voice.

Aqua couldn't help but chuckle at Sora's assumptions. In part, he was right. She did enjoy teasing him from time to time, but apparently, he had figured out her intentions.

"Come on, Sora," Aqua said as she unconsciously brought her left hand to Sora's face and gently pulled on his left cheek. "I won't do that, I promise."

"Mmm, you better not," Sora reluctantly agreed, allowing Aqua to play with his cheek while revealing a small smile on his lips. Aqua's affectionate gesture, though playful, expressed a unique bond between them.

Here we go, Sora thought to himself as he prepared to immerse himself in reading with Aqua. Although he had a slight fear that Aqua would start teasing him with her recurring joke of calling him "kid," deep down, he knew he couldn't be mad at her. His love for Aqua was deep and sincere, and nothing could change that. He was grateful to have overcome his own doubts and accepted his feelings for her.

In his heart, Sora knew that when something touched his heart, there was no room for uncertainty. He firmly believed in what he felt, without hesitation or doubts. However, he was aware that he couldn't predict Aqua's feelings towards him. Although they shared a wonderful friendship and had built a special bond, he feared that confessing his feelings could break that connection.

What if Aqua didn't reciprocate his feelings? What if she preferred to maintain their friendship as it was? These questions tormented Sora, but he knew he couldn't let fear hold him back. He remembered the words he had shared with Aqua before, about the importance of conveying one's feelings to the other person.

However, Sora decided that it wasn't the right time to open his heart. Although he felt a strong urge to confess his feelings to Aqua, he wanted to wait for the right moment. He didn't want to rush and risk their friendship without being sure that she felt the same way too.

"Well, let's see, Chapter 1," Aqua said.

Pov Sora

I direct my gaze towards Aqua as she begins to narrate the next chapter of the book in a soft and measured manner, ensuring that both of us can comprehend every detail. In that moment, I lose myself in the depth of her beauty. I can't help but marvel once again at her appearance. She is simply beautiful, and I will never tire of saying it.

Her delicate and refined face, like exquisite porcelain, captivates me with each glance. Her eyes, bright and shining like the sea on a sunny day, reflect a spark of intelligence and curiosity. Every time I delve into them, I feel as if I am sailing through calm and crystalline waters. They are a window to her soul, and I love getting lost in her deep gaze.

Her hair, radiant and clean, frames her face in a perfect way. Each strand seems to be bathed in moonlight, creating a halo of glow that enhances her natural beauty. It's as if she is touched by divine grace, a goddess walking among us.

As Aqua continues to narrate, I get absorbed in every word that comes out of her lips. Her voice, soft and melodious, fills the air and transports me to another world. It's like listening to a celestial symphony, full of nuances and emotions. Every inflection and intonation reaches my heart, evoking a sense of peace and serenity.

Under the moonlight, Aqua's beauty shines even more. Her figure becomes ethereal, as if she is enveloped in a magical aura. Every detail of her being is heightened, making her a mesmerizing being to my eyes. I can't look away, I am fascinated by her presence.

In this moment, I can observe her without any hindrance. Our gazes intertwine occasionally, and I feel my heart race. Each visual encounter is a stolen moment from time, a moment where our thoughts and emotions intertwine in silence.

Aqua is much more than just her physical appearance. Her external beauty is merely a manifestation of the inner light that radiates from her being. She is a perfect combination of grace, sweetness, and strength. I fall in love with her soul more and more, with her essence that shines with a unique intensity.

And so, as I listen to her narrate and admire her in silence, I feel my love for Aqua growing even stronger. It's a love that transcends the superficial and takes root in the deep connection we have built. It's a love that makes me desire to express my feelings to her at some future moment, when time and circumstances allow.

But for now, I content myself with enjoying her presence, her beauty that mesmerizes me, and the camaraderie we share in this magical moment under the moonlight.

"Sora? Sora? Hey, Sora," I hear Aqua's voice calling me, breaking the spell I was immersed in. I quickly snap out of my reverie, feeling somewhat embarrassed as I look at her. Her eyes reflect confusion, as if she doesn't understand what happened to me.

"Uh, y-yes, what's up, Aqua?" I reply, snapping out of my thoughts and trying to regain my composure.

"Are you listening to me?" Aqua asks, clearly puzzled by my previous behavior.

"Ah, yes, yes, yes, Aqua, I'm listening," I nod several times, trying to convey my attention and assuring her that I am now fully present.

However, I see an expression of disbelief on her face, as if she's not convinced by my words. It's understandable, after all, my previous distraction has left a trace of uncertainty in her mind.

"Are you sure?" Aqua questions again, seeking confirmation of my connection with reality.

"Positive, Aqua," I affirm with determination, trying to convey my sincerity. "Please continue. I'm completely attentive now."

Aqua watches me for a few more seconds, scrutinizing my face for any sign of distraction. Finally, she seems to find the answer she was looking for in my eyes and expression. Her demeanor relaxes slightly, and she resumes narrating the book with a gentle smile on her lips.

True to my word, I now focus all my attention as Aqua resumes the story with renewed enthusiasm. This time, I make a conscious effort to pay full attention, aware of how important it is for her to share this moment with me. However, even as I try to concentrate on her words, I can't help but find my eyes wandering towards her again and again. It's as if her presence exerts an irresistible pull on me.

As Aqua continues her storytelling, the plot begins to captivate me. The tale of Zack, a young soldier with grand dreams of becoming a legendary hero, resonates in my heart. His desire to face any danger alongside his mentor, Angeal, evokes a deep admiration in me for his courage and determination.

But then, the story delves into the world of Aerith, a young woman who resides deep within Zack's city. I can't help but draw a connection between the narrative and the reality I share with Aqua. I remember how Aqua tends to her own garden, dedicating her time and effort to keeping it blooming and beautiful. It's as if the character of Aerith reflects a part of Aqua's very essence, her tenderness and her ability to find beauty even in the most desolate places.

As the story progresses, my fascination grows. Zack's promise to show Aerith the sky for the first time stirs a deep emotion within me. That simple yet meaningful gesture showcases Zack's desire to offer Aerith a unique and wondrous experience. My heart beats strongly, yearning to be able to provide Aqua with equally special and magical moments.

And then, Zack's promise to save Aerith from her suffering, to free her from the sadness and loneliness she lives with. That promise holds a powerful message of protection and unconditional love. It's incredible how a fictional story can touch the deepest fibers of my being, evoking in me the desire to become someone capable of providing Aqua with that same sense of security and comfort.

Amidst the narration, I find myself drifting into thoughts and fantasies, imagining a future where I could fulfill all those promises and share a life filled with adventures and happiness with Aqua. However, I'm also aware of the obstacles and uncertainties that may arise in our path. The fear of rejection and the risk of losing the beautiful friendship we've built so far looms in my mind.

Though my feelings for Aqua are deep and genuine, I know that the right moment to express them must be carefully chosen. I don't want to rush things or jeopardize what we have.

As Aqua continues narrating with enthusiasm, a small sign of concern catches my attention. Is she trembling? I observe closely and notice her hands shaking slightly as she holds the book. A flash of understanding illuminates my mind: Aqua is cold. It's no wonder, considering her clothes aren't particularly warm.

At that moment, I remember a valuable lesson I've learned in my adventures through different realms full of princesses and princes: when a lady is cold, it is the duty of a knight to offer her warmth and protection. The code of honor and chivalry resonates in my mind, and I know I must act right away.

Thankfully, I always carry my jacket with me, that garment that accompanies me on all our adventures.

"Don't worry about it, Sora and-" she tries to respond, cutting her sentence short in time. Swiftly, I wrap my jacket around her shoulders, trying to cover and shield her from the cold. Though my jacket doesn't have long sleeves, it still provides enough warmth.

"You don't have to act tough with me, you know," I said with a smile as I watched a rosy tint adorn her beautiful face. It was so endearing to see her like this, vulnerable and in need of care.

"L-lies," she stammered as she wrapped my jacket around herself like a blanket, which only made my tenderness for her grow. "But what about you? Won't you be cold?"

I shook my head. "No, I spend my time here gazing at the stars every day. I think the cold won't affect me as much anymore," I replied confidently.

"Oh, it's true," Aqua admitted, her memory awakened by the old tradition. "I completely forgot about it." Without wasting any more time, Aqua looked up at the starry sky and slowly closed her eyes, immersing herself in a moment of introspection. A few seconds passed, and she finally opened her eyes gently, revealing a smile filled with hope. "Done," Aqua affirmed.

Curious, Sora couldn't resist asking, "What did you wish for?"

Aqua maintained her mysterious smile. "I can't tell you. If I tell you, it won't come true," she responded, momentarily disappointing Sora with the lack of an answer. However, the spark of anticipation shone in Aqua's eyes. "Perhaps that wish won't take long to come true," she thought to herself as she gently closed the book in her hands. Then, she turned her attention back to Sora. "And what about you? What did you wish for?"

Sora replied with an enigmatic smile, choosing his words carefully. "I won't tell you," he said softly, his face lighting up with a look of profound sincerity. "I'll only say that it's something I really want. With all my heart."

"Then it must be something very important," Aqua mused, acknowledging the seriousness in Sora's words.

"You have no idea," Sora responded as he climbed down from the palm tree. "It's already quite late, don't you think?" They had spent a good amount of time enjoying the outdoor moment.

"Yes," Aqua admitted, climbing down as well and letting out a small yawn. "It's time to sleep."

"Alright, let's both head to bed," Sora suggested with a smile. Together, they made their way back to Sora, Riku, and Kairi's cozy coastal home.

On the way back, Sora walked alongside Aqua and took the opportunity to ask her a question. "Will you read me more of that story again?"

Aqua looked at him curiously. "Did you like it?" she inquired.

"Yes, it's very entertaining. I wanted to know more," Sora admitted enthusiastically.

"Well, on another occasion, I'll read you more of it," Aqua promised, eliciting a broad smile from Sora.

"Great!" Sora exclaimed excitedly, raising his arms in a gesture of joy.

"Shhh, Sora, you might wake up the others," Aqua whispered softly, concerned about not disturbing the sleep of the other inhabitants of the house.

"Come on, we're just a few meters from the house. No one will hear me," Sora replied confidently.

"Just in case," Aqua explained, nodding with a smile. After a few minutes, they both arrived at the house. They opened the door and walked through the hallways in silence.

"Goodnight, Aqua," Sora wished her kindly.

"Goodnight, Sora. Sleep well," Aqua responded tenderly.

"Likewise," Sora replied before saying goodbye. Each went their separate ways to their rooms, ready to surrender to sleep and await the arrival of the new day, which would soon peek over the horizon.

It was a beautiful sunrise, as was customary in the place they resided. The golden rays of the sun began to filter through the partially open curtains, painting the surroundings with a warm glow. The gentle morning bustle echoed throughout the house, announcing a new day full of possibilities and adventures.

However, amidst this awakening full of activity, there were two figures still clinging to the comforting embrace of sleep. Aqua, with her blue hair that seemed to reflect the tranquility of the ocean, and Sora, with his sun-kissed skin glowing in the morning light, continued to sleep peacefully, oblivious to the responsibilities and expectations of the outside world.

Both had spent the previous night enjoying each other's company, immersed in intimate conversations and contagious laughter. The accumulated fatigue and the sense of peace they had experienced had immersed them in a deep and restful sleep, with no intention of waking at that moment.

"Terra," called Ventus, seeking his companion's attention, who turned his gaze towards him. "Can you go wake up Aqua? I tried, but I had no success."

"Of course," Terra replied with a reassuring smile. With determination in his eyes, he headed towards Aqua's room. Upon arrival, his suspicions were confirmed: the girl with blue hair was still deeply and blissfully asleep, swaying gently in the hammock.

The tranquil and serene atmosphere of the room enveloped Aqua, giving her an almost ethereal appearance. Terra couldn't help but smile as he saw her there, so serene and at peace. However, what captured his attention the most was what Aqua was wearing: Sora's jacket.

The garment wrapped around Aqua's body like a protective hug. Her hands clung to the jacket as if she didn't want to let go even for a moment, despite already wearing it. It was evident that this gesture meant something deeper, something that only Aqua could fully understand.

"Hey, Aqua, wake up," Terra insisted, shaking the hammock with more force. "Come on, it's time to wake up," increasing the speed of his movements as he watched Aqua begin to stir.

"Hmm, what's going on?" Aqua mumbled, slowly opening her eyes and sitting up from the hammock. Still drowsy, she adjusted to the light and finally focused on Terra in front of her with a smile on his face.

"Who's waking me up?" Aqua asked, still groggy, as she rubbed her eyes. Her gaze landed on Terra, who watched her with a smile. "I was having a nice dream... Terra?" she finally recognized him.

"Good morning, it's time to get up," Terra announced kindly.

"Oh, yeah, of course," Aqua responded with a sigh, not having many options but to get out of the hammock and stand up. "I was sleeping so comfortably," she complained, looking at Terra, who only let out a small laugh.

"I saw that. You had a good grip on that jacket," Terra pointed out, referring to the jacket Aqua was wearing. She could only smile shyly as she looked at him.

"It's quite warm," Aqua admitted.

"Well, we have a pending talk about this topic, but it will be for later. Now let's go join the others," Terra warned, and Aqua simply nodded, confused about the pending talk with Terra. What talk was that? About what topic? The answer was obvious, but just waking up, her mind wasn't functioning with complete clarity. She decided to stop thinking about it for now and followed Terra to the living room, where the others were. Everyone was present, except for the brunet, who, like Aqua a few moments ago, was still sleeping in his room.

"Good morning, Aqua," Ventus mentioned with a smile as he helped Kairi set the table for breakfast.

"Good morning, guys," Aqua responded, returning the greeting as she stretched her body slightly.

"How did you sleep, Aqua?" Kairi asked, starting to place the dishes of food on the table.

"Wonderfully," Aqua replied with a smile, receiving another smile from Kairi in return.

"I'm glad to hear that," Kairi said as she went to the kitchen to place the last dishes of food. "You can all start sitting down." Aqua and Terra nodded in response and sat at the table next to Ventus.

"Isn't that Sora's jacket?" Ventus couldn't help but ask since he was curious why Aqua was wearing Sora's iconic jacket ever since she entered.

"Oh, well, yes, it's his," Aqua decided to tell the truth, as she couldn't come up with any convincing lie to justify why she was wearing the brunet's jacket.

"Why?" Ventus asked again, wanting to know more about the reason why his friend and figure of an older sister was wearing one of his best friend's jackets.

"Well, you see..." Aqua tried to come up with an excuse, but Terra intervened to protect her.

"Leave her be, Ven. She just woke up, so her brain isn't working too well," Terra said with a smile, while Aqua only huffed in response and Ventus shrugged as if to say "okay." Then, they continued talking while Kairi finished placing the last dishes of food and joined them at the table.

"Wha~ good morning, guys," a drowsy Sora greeted, entering the living room with a small sleepy smile. He was wearing his typical pants and a white sleeveless shirt. By his side, Riku had been trying to wake him up for quite a while.

"Good morning, Sora," they all greeted with smiles, the three of them.

"You're lazy, Sora. It took me a lot to get you up," scolded Riku as he looked at Sora, who only smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry, Riku," Sora apologized.

"Anyway, let's have breakfast," ordered Riku, and both of them headed to the table. Thus, everyone started having breakfast while chatting about any trivial matters. They shared anecdotes and laughter, enjoying each other's company and the delicious breakfast prepared by Kairi.

Kairi had woken up early to cook breakfast without anyone asking her to. She always made an effort to ensure her friends had the best and felt comfortable, especially when they were visiting her home. Everyone expressed their gratitude to her, thanking her for the delicious meal they had enjoyed.

"Well, it's your turn to do the dishes today, Riku," Kairi mentioned, getting up from the table, as did the rest, so Riku started clearing the empty plates from the table. Riku nodded seriously and began gathering the plates and utensils, preparing to clean them.

"I'll go take a shower," Sora said with a smile as he looked at his friends. The rest nodded in response, understanding that it was a good time to freshen up and get ready for the day ahead.

"I'll take a shower too," the redhead said, looking at her friends. "You should too," she suggested kindly. "There are showers in your rooms, so feel free to use them." The three friends nodded, thanking Kairi for the offer, and headed to their respective rooms to enjoy a relaxing shower.

Aqua arrived in her room, the sanctuary of peace where she had rested the night before. Upon entering the bathroom, she found an impeccably clean and tidy space. The towels hung elegantly, ready to wrap her body in warmth once she finished her shower. Without wasting any time, she closed the bathroom door, ensuring she had privacy in this moment of personal intimacy. Although it was unlikely that anyone would enter without permission, she preferred to take precautions.

With delicate and subtle movements, she began to undress, the same clothes she had worn to arrive and sleep in. She hadn't planned on staying in the house for long, so she hadn't brought pajamas with her. Kairi, as kind as always, had offered her one of her pajamas, but unfortunately, Kairi's clothes were too small for Aqua. Despite that slight discomfort, it hadn't been an obstacle to her night's rest. Plus, she had Sora's jacket, which provided her with comforting and familiar warmth.

Aqua held Sora's jacket in her hands, admiring the soft material on both the outside and inside. The garment exuded a comforting feeling and seemed to embrace her with warmth. A smile spread across her face as she understood why Sora always wore that jacket. It was more than just clothing; it was a symbol of friendship and protection.

However, a fleeting thought crossed her mind. Would the jacket still carry the distinctive scent of Sora? The aroma that had accompanied her for so long and reminded her of shared moments with her friend. Immediately, Aqua shook her head, rejecting the intrusive thought. What was she thinking? She shouldn't allow such ideas to take hold of her mind.

"What the heck am I saying?" she scolded herself, not taking her eyes off the jacket. An internal battle raged within her. For a moment, she considered the possibility of smelling it, of capturing that familiar scent that could evoke memories and emotions. But she quickly dismissed that idea, placing the jacket next to the clothes she had just taken off. She reaffirmed her determination to maintain her composure.

"Just shower and that's it, Aqua. You're not a damn pervert," she told herself firmly as she stepped into the shower. However, the thought persisted in her mind, whispering temptations and questioning. "Maybe just once... No!" she denied with determination, fighting against the temptation. But the jacket seemed to call to her, enticing her with its familiarity and the trace of Sora's scent.

"Mmm," Aqua grunted, glancing at the jacket while her internal struggle intensified. She found herself at a crossroads, debating between reason and the irresistible attraction to that aroma enveloping her. "Just... just once. How bad can it be? I'm alone, no one will see me do it," she convinced herself, justifying her momentary desires.

With hesitation, she took Sora's jacket in her hands once again. She brought it closer to her face and took a deep breath, allowing the aroma to fill her senses. To her fortune, the scent of the brunet still lingered on the jacket. It was a pleasant, clean, and comforting scent to her nose.

"I can't believe I did this... I feel like a total pervert," she scolded herself, feeling a mix of embarrassment and guilt. However, the temptation was strong, and she couldn't resist smelling the jacket once more. "Ugh, I did it again," she said, lightly hitting her forehead as a reminder of her weakness. With determination, she tossed the jacket back with the rest of the clothes.

"Enough," she scolded herself in a low voice.

Aqua made an effort to overcome that persistent impulse to smell Sora's jacket again. Although she wanted to experience that comforting scent once more, she knew she had to muster willpower and resist the temptation. She didn't want her actions to be misinterpreted, nor did she want to consider herself a perverted person. With each intrusive thought, she tried to dispel it and focus on her shower, reminding herself that she was a strong person respectful of personal boundaries.

Once she finished her shower, Aqua dressed again in her clothes and took Sora's jacket. She put it on, feeling how the garment fit her body and enveloped her in a sense of familiarity. She was aware that she couldn't keep the jacket, that she had to return it to Sora at some point. However, she wanted to enjoy its company while she was on the islands, and that meant carrying it with her for as long as she could.

With a determined step, Aqua left the bathroom, feeling completely refreshed. Although she tried to leave behind the thoughts that had disturbed her, she couldn't help but feel a lingering sense of guilt. While it might not be considered a significant act by many, for Aqua, it was important. It was the first time she allowed herself something like this, and it made her feel vulnerable.

Heading to the living room, she noticed that no one was present. She assumed the others were still finishing their showers or getting dressed. She decided to make her way to the kitchen, hoping to find Riku there. It had been a long time since they had a meaningful conversation, and she felt the need to reconnect with him.

Upon entering the kitchen, her assumptions were confirmed as she found Riku still busy washing the dirty dishes and glasses.

"You're not done yet?" Aqua spoke with a hint of incredulity, her voice echoing in the room. Riku slowly directed his gaze towards the young Keyblade Master, whose eyes sparkled with a smile on her face. She seemed to be enjoying the situation, watching Riku with apparent amusement as he tackled the task of washing the dishes.

"I hate doing the dishes, it's the worst," Riku admitted with a resigned tone, once again glancing at the dirty dishes he had in his hands. "It's a real ordeal to clean them, and on top of that, I had to deal with the pans Kairi used for cooking."

"Don't complain so much, Sora doesn't lament as much as you do when he has to wash them," Aqua replied with a small laugh, reminiscing in her mind about Sora cheerfully humming while doing the same task. She hoped Riku was doing something similar, perhaps singing or even dancing. Who knows.

"Well, with Sora, you can give him a simple rock, and he'll be entertained with it," Riku said with a hint of envy in his voice.

"Well, I can't deny that point," Aqua admitted, acknowledging the truth in Riku's words.

"Speaking of Sora, lately it seems like you two have become very good friends, am I wrong?" Riku asked curiously, seeking confirmation of what seemed evident.

"Ah, you're absolutely right. We could say we've developed a good relationship lately," Aqua responded, her voice taking on a warm tone when talking about her bond with Sora.

"That's good. Honestly, I thought you'd be bitter for the rest of your life," Riku commented with a slight laugh as he took another dirty plate and began washing it with dedication.

"Hey, I'm not bitter!" Aqua defended herself, her voice carrying a hint of slight indignation mixed with amusement. She couldn't help but feel somewhat surprised by the image Riku seemed to have of her.

"Well, before... you were. But now, I guess you've changed. Maybe Sora has something to do with that?" Riku asked, glancing sideways at Aqua, hoping to get an answer.

"You could say that..." Aqua responded softly, slightly averting her gaze towards Riku. The intensity of her blue eyes caught the attention of the silver-haired boy, who decided to pay special attention to the words that would come out of his blue-haired friend's lips. There was something else she wanted to express.

"He's helped me a lot. Lately, being with him fills me with happiness and security," Aqua continued, revealing a spark of emotion in her eyes. It was evident that Sora had had a significant impact on her life, an impact that had made her rediscover forgotten aspects and open her heart to new possibilities. Riku's slight smile reflected his joy in seeing Aqua find that happiness.

"I see, that's good," Riku replied as he took the last dirty plate and began washing it carefully. His mind was occupied with thoughts he wanted to express but decided to keep to himself for the moment. "It's not that you..."

"What are you talking about, Riku?" Aqua asked, confused, tilting her head slightly to one side. She was intrigued by Riku's mention and the expression on his face.

"Oh, nothing, nothing... Just my thoughts, forget it," Riku replied with a light laugh, deciding to set the topic aside for now. He didn't want to complicate things or add confusion to the conversation. However, inside him, thoughts and emotions stirred, leaving a trail of question marks in his mind.

"Maybe I'll talk to Sora later," Riku thought to himself as he finished washing the last plate and carefully dried it before placing it next to the other clean dishes. The idea of talking to his friend about the feelings that seemed to emerge between Aqua and him began to take shape in his mind. But before he could delve into those thoughts, a tired voice broke his concentration.

"Phew, I'm done!" Riku exclaimed, wiping the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. "I'll go take a shower," he announced, looking at Aqua, who nodded silently. She watched as Riku made his way to the kitchen's exit, reminding herself that she had to return Sora's jacket before leaving.

"Yes," Aqua replied with a nervous smile as Riku left the kitchen. She was alone in that space, but not for long. She decided to return to the living room, where Terra and Ventus, her other two friends, were sitting on the couches, engrossed in a lively conversation.

"Hey, guys," Aqua greeted as she entered the living room.

"Hi, Aqua," Terra and Ventus replied in unison, their faces lit up with welcoming smiles.

"Still with that jacket?" Ventus pointed out with a playful expression, causing a slightly embarrassed smile to appear on Aqua's face.

"I already told you, it's comfortable," Aqua admitted as she took a seat on one of the couches, trying to divert the attention from the jacket topic. "Let's leave that aside. Have Sora and Kairi not arrived yet?"

"No, when I passed by Kairi's room on my way here, I didn't hear the sound of the shower, so she's probably getting dressed," Ventus mentioned with a smile on his face. "And about Sora, I'm not sure, maybe he's still in the shower or choosing his outfit."

"Why don't you go and check, Aqua? You might get a pleasant surprise," Terra suggested with complicity, causing a slight blush on Aqua's cheeks. Seeing her reaction, Terra let out a small laugh, enjoying the playfulness and camaraderie they shared.

"I don't understand, can you guys explain?" Ventus asked, looking alternately at Aqua and Terra, but both shook their heads, implying they wouldn't reveal more details for now.

"Forget about it, Ven," Aqua said as she turned her gaze towards the boy, who shrugged in acceptance. "But you, Terra, don't make jokes like that again," she added, staring at her friend, who only responded with a mischievous smile.

"It's inevitable, Aqua," Terra admitted, making it clear that his playful spirit would always be present. The three friends continued their conversation in a relaxed atmosphere, sharing laughter and memories while waiting for the others to arrive. It was at that moment when Sora entered the living room, apparently looking for something, a search that didn't go unnoticed by Aqua, Terra, and Ventus.

"Sora, is something wrong?" Ventus asked, noting the confusion in the brown-haired boy's gaze as he observed him.

"Oh, I can't find my jacket. I could have sworn I had it this morning. Or is it just me?" Sora explained, putting his hands behind his head in a gesture of perplexity. As he reflected, Aqua couldn't help but smile as she realized how forgetful Sora could be. She had his jacket since last night, and in fact, she had seen him wearing it during breakfast that same morning.

"Sora," Aqua called, catching the boy's attention immediately. He directed his gaze towards her, waiting for her explanation. "I have it, remember?" Sora blinked several times, recalling that he had indeed left his jacket with Aqua the previous night.

"Wow, I guess Kairi was right. I'm really forgetful," Sora admitted, laughing nervously. "Anyway, um... could you give it back?"

"Do I have to?" Aqua asked, looking at Sora with a feigned "sadness" on her face, putting on a little act. Sora became a bit flustered at seeing that expression and, intending not to upset Aqua, decided to let her keep the jacket a little longer.

"Sure!" Aqua exclaimed, raising her voice with joy and showing a big smile. Terra couldn't help but laugh at the scene. "Your jacket is comfortable. Now I understand why you always wear it."

"Well, we're going back home. We can't stay any longer," Terra spoke, which caused a disappointed expression on Sora's face.

"Why not?" Sora asked, confused.

"Because this is your home, and we don't want to inconvenience you any further, Sora," Terra explained, trying to avoid any kind of bother.

"But you guys don't inconvenience us!" Sora exclaimed with a pout, eliciting smiles from all three.

"Don't worry, Sora. We'll come back," Ventus smiled. "I promise." Sora sighed and smiled again.

"Okay," Sora said, accepting his friends' decision.

"Believe me, we will come back," Terra assured, glancing at Aqua, who nodded with a broad smile.

"Well, I guess I'll have to trust you guys," Sora affirmed. And so, the morning went on smoothly among the friends. For Aqua, Terra, and Ventus, their stay on Destiny Islands had been extremely enjoyable and pleasant. They had a great time with their friends, especially Aqua, who was now outside Sora's room, ready to return his jacket.

"Sora," Aqua called, knocking on the room door insistently. "We're leaving. I wanted to return your jacket." Her knocks echoed in the room, breaking the silence. The door finally gave in and opened slowly, revealing Sora busy finishing tidying up his room.

"Oh, so you're leaving already," said Sora, taking the jacket from Aqua's hands. A hint of melancholy laced his voice. "Too bad, I wanted you to stay longer." His eyes reflected a mix of sadness and gratitude.

Aqua nodded with a sad smile. "I already told you, we'll come back," she assured, trying to infuse some comfort into her words. She knew saying goodbye was always difficult, especially when strong bonds had been formed.

"Heh, yeah, I know," Sora admitted with a sigh. "I just... had such a great time with you. I'm sad to see you go." His confession was sincere, baring his deepest feelings. The shared moments had been special, and now they would have to say goodbye, at least temporarily.

"I'm sad to leave too. I had such an amazing time with you here, you have no idea!" Aqua said, allowing her smile to spread widely across her face. She wanted to convey to Sora how meaningful this time together had been. The connection they had forged had left a profound mark on her heart.

"I guess you're right," said Sora, letting out a small laugh. Although sadness still clung to him, Aqua's optimistic tone reminded him that all was not lost.

"Remember, we can talk on the Gummiphones," Aqua reminded him, trying to console him. She knew it wasn't the same as being in person, but she wanted to make sure Sora felt supported even from afar.

"I know, but it's not the same as talking in person," Sora replied, releasing a sigh laden with yearning. He would miss the gestures, the shared laughter, and the warmth that could only be experienced when they were physically together.

"You're right, Sora," Aqua nodded, understanding his feelings. "But I promise you, we'll see each other again sooner than you think." Her tone carried a promise, a promise that this separation would be temporary and that their friendship would withstand any distance.

"Hehe, yeah, you're right," Sora smiled, allowing a glimmer of hope to light up his face. "After all, time flies when we're sharing special moments." He remembered the days together as if they had passed in the blink of an eye, and that gave him the confidence that time would also quickly bring them back together.

"Yes, well, I'll go with Terra and Ven to make sure they're ready to leave," Aqua replied with a slight smile, while Sora simply watched as Aqua began to walk away. However, something inside him made him pause. "Oh, I almost forgot," Aqua said as she turned back towards Sora, who was already about to close the door to his room. Seeing Aqua again, Sora opened the door again, feeling a strange flutter in his chest.

"Sora..." Aqua whispered softly, confusing the young man as he saw her at his door once more. But his confusion only increased as Aqua approached him, getting dangerously close to his face. "A-Aqua?" Sora stammered, his voice trembling, reflecting his surprise and growing shyness. His cheeks turned noticeably rosy, revealing the effect Aqua's proximity had on him.

"Mua~" Aqua cooed affectionately, planting a small, tender kiss on Sora's right cheek. Then she pulled away, observing Sora's now completely flushed face, as if steam were coming off his cheeks from Aqua's unexpected gesture. She let out a playful giggle, but her own cheeks had a slight blush as well. "I'll wait outside for you to say goodbye to Terra and Ven too," she bid farewell with a wave of her hand as she exited Sora's room. He stood there, completely red, staring into space with an expression of astonishment. But shortly after, his look of astonishment transformed into a mix of nervousness and a radiant smile.

"Aqua..." Sora murmured, gently touching the spot on his cheek where Aqua had kissed him. "Without a doubt, this was a good idea..." His words escaped his lips in a whisper filled with emotions. Aqua's kiss had left him with a warm and electrifying sensation on his skin, and though he was a bit dazed by the moment, his heart whispered to him that this was just the beginning of something special between them.
