There you have it at the start of the story there is more of course the founders are amazing people and Salazar's reputation was tarnished but not by his closest friends they never would it was more because of the first enemy of Hogwarts he almost kills all of my dear friends. They do pass but not because of curses thankfully and dear Salazar does lose his mind but it was in fact in search of a perfect way to protect his friends and students, and the palace I still call home to this day. I'll summarise the building of the school as best I can. It has been centuries since I helped bring the old pile to life. They drew the plans out and we all worked together to make it happen. When the castle started to come to life it was beautiful. Salazar wanted to be able to see out into the black lake so we made dungeon rooms wide and cool little Eaton the now almost giant squid played in the dungeons till we had to put him back in the water. Godric and Rowena both wanted towers named after them.

I gave Godric the widest tower and Rowena the tallest with landing space for hippogriffs and brooms with a rooftop entrance, don't tell Godric. Helga wanted to be close to the kitchen so I gave her a room next to them. Some of the elves came out of the forest and asked if they could help in any way. I did not know that they are happy to be servants to kind witches and wizards. The castle was filled with mysteries, hidden passageways, and secret rooms. The doors opened and the first students came to the castle they were taken by the four founders and sorted for what the main trait they showed whether it be; Wit beyond measure being their greatest treasure, nobler than royalty with friends of true loyalty, sparring nothing to ensure the good of that which is pure, or where a courageous heart will never be broken by the darkest of hours.

The amount of students didn't call for dormitories or common rooms till about a year later. The four founders and their kitsune taught at the school, my name was hard for some of the students and staff so my new friends gave me the name Vixen though most simply called me V. I taught care for magical beasts, ironic right. I had fun. We went into the forest and talked about the residents that resided in it. While on the first summer holiday my new friends took me to a nearby village called Hogsmeade. They took me to a shop called Ollivanders. They had asked the woman, a wandmaker, to make me two very special wands made from my tail hairs and shaped like chopsticks, the utensil my culture used to eat most of the foods we had, if not all. I was enthusiastic. I had always wanted to try using a wand and now I have two. I used them to hold my hair up in a tight bun.

Salazar came to the school once with a very sick muggle, what they call non magic humans, woman and said "We need to help her. I have quite fancied her for a while now and just when I got the nerve to ask her for a date she came down with the sickness that has been killing many."

"I can heal her," I told him. As I worked up my own magic the others came in "she will survive and be cured."

"Salazar, this is dangerous." Rowena said cautiously " The people are dying with no cure. She could bring people into our world that may not be kind to us."

"I am not worried they will come up with a cure soon enough. This woman I wanted to court her." Salazar stated.

"I think Rowenea might be right, my old friend." Godric affirmed.

"How about we just see how this goes." Helga said to smooth the situation. I could tell she was upset. She herself had fancied Salazar for a while now. The others seemed to think her idea was the best course to take. The woman whose name was Thalia stayed at the castle for a bit and then Salazar walked her home. She would come by and snog Salazar for a bit then head home, the townspeople got suspicious and started to do witch hunts like they were doing in Salem. They pegged Thalia as one and before Salazar or I could get her out she was burned at the stake. Salazar blamed himself and started to work more in his scriptorium Helga and I tried to help as much as we could but the only one able to take him out of the state of mind he was in was Godric.

Soon everything was back to normal, almost at least we had to up our security because more and more witch hunts were starting. Students had to stay on the grounds till summer holidays and were able to head home for winter holidays as well. The wizarding world needed the wizarding government to step in and alter memories and make the muggle's want to move far away from Hogsmeade and the school. All that was left were wizards and witches to move into the homes that were left behind and soon enough there were only magical families living from the North Ford Bog all the way to Clagmar coast.

Years past Rowena had a daughter, Godric found a wife, Helga and Salazar started to date for a bit then broke it off so they found their actual loves and started a family. Soon the Baron of the Feldcroft region started to fancy Rowena's daughter Helena and she was not too fond of the idea. The friar of CragCroftshire started to come by often as did Sir Nicholas De Mimsy-Porpington. They all were wonderful visitors as well as students. When they went to school here they started to teach a bit but never took the title professor. Soon Helena wanted to take her mothers diadem; she took up a plan and stole it. Rowena sent the Baron of Feldcroft after her. I felt off about the situation so I followed him. When he found her she told him off and accused him of stalking her because he was obsessed.

He informed her that her mother sent him to fetch her, but also said to wed her as well she refused as she has many times before what happened next was unthought of the Baron took out his sword and slaughtered poor Helena then realising what he had done turned the sword to himself and killed himself. I went and took the diadem and sat on the floor and cried. I couldn't do anything to help because it was so fast I would have never thought that the Baron would ever do anything to hurt anyone. He was so kind and it was way out of thought that he would do what he just did. I was in shock then I heard their voices Helenas and the Barons I looked up from the floor and there they were just floating in the air looking at me.

"Well that was certainly not expected." Helena stated looking rather angry.

"I am terribly sorry I just blacked out with rage." the now Bloodied Baron sighed.

"Can we just go home?" I said sadly. As I walked out of the cave they followed in silence. Upon arrival at the castle Rowena and Salazar were standing near the front gate Rowena screamed with sadness at the sight of her daughter's ghostly form.

"What did you do!?!" She bellowed looking up at me from the place on the ground she fell down at.

"It was not her, my lady it was me," the Baron admitted.

"YOU WHY WOULD YOU …. . . . . " Rowena started but could not finish her question she had started to cry hysterically. Salazar knelt next to her to comfort her.

"You two should find somewhere safe to stay." He said looking at the two ghosts behind me.

"Can we stay in the common rooms of our respected house?" the Baron asked. Rowena just nodded.

"We can call you house ghosts and you will help the students of your houses with anything you can." she said in between sobs. The two left and they were the first house ghosts. The other two you know well and have read about.

Salazar was starting to go mad about protecting the school and how we are never safe. He started to scare his own children. I followed him down to the girls' lavatory near the Slytherin dungeons, where he told me he built another secret room. When we got to the far right sink he whispered 'open' in parseltongue, snake speak in simple terms for you muggles. It opened and we went down the large water pipe when we got to the bottom we continued to the left pipe. We kept walking "Sal why did you do this?" I asked him.

"Oh V it's brilliant I have finally found a way to protect this school. A creature rests here; her name is Silvie. She will help my descendants and you protect Hogwarts." he expressed with a mad gleam in his eyes.

"What creature Sal?"

"A basilisk she's pregnant, nesting." I stopped thinking he had to be mad to bring something only he could control to this school to protect it. He wasn't in his right mind. I had to get him to see that.

"Salazar, why only you can control something like that."

"You can too my dear, you can speak its tongue just as I can."

"Yes but what about the fact my dear friend that foxes eat snakes."

"Oh but you wouldn't she is a friend and doesn't want to harm anyone. She just wanted a place to raise her baby. And I asked her to leave the students alone to protect them even if one of my descendants gets the wrong idea of me she won't hurt anyone. Especially if you are here to guide her and her young one. You will guide them won't you, old friend?" he asked, looking at me with pleading in his eyes.

"Yes my dear friend I will." I said finally after a moment of thought. As we walked deeper into the maze of pipes we got to a door with snakes wrapping around the outside. Salazar whispered again 'open' in parseltongue, the door opened and I saw a statue high as the chamber itself, standing against the back wall. It was Salazar himself.

"There is more to this chamber than the Basilisk, there are passageways that lead to just outside the commonrooms of each house so if they need to get away they can come here to be protected by Silvie." he said looking rather proud of himself. I smiled and gave him a hug.

"You did well my friend but please think and talk to the others before you make a decision that could potentially harm people. I am proud of you and I will see to it that the chamber isn't found by someone with ill intent." I said. He smiled his kind smile as a way to say he knew I would say that and he was happy to hear it.

I know the whole fiasco with Tom Riddle. I wasn't at the school both times he opened the chamber I was away on business. I have my own life and I can't be at the school all the time, especially since someone living forever isn't really that normal even in the wizarding world.
