Sylvia started laying waste to the village as she laughed as the others could only watch in shock.

"This is not good. She's going to destroy everything if we don't do something." Theo said.

"But Sylvia's now merged with the Mage-Killer. Most of us are heavy magic casters, and that thing will nullify any spell we throw at her." Nemo said. "Not to mention the Crimson Demons won't be able to do anything against that thing."

"Guys, let's calm down and think. The Mage Killer wouldn't have been created unless the guy who made it made a countermeasure for it in case it fell into the wrong hands, right?" Legolia asked.

"Of course. The slab in ancient writing. It could shed insight if it can be read." Megumin said.

"I'll bet my life that ancient writing is Japanese!" Ultra said. "Show us the way, Megumin!"

"I will rally the Crimson Demons with Hiropon, and buy you all some time." Wholks said.

"Thanks, Wholks. What would we do without you?" Ethox said. "Let's make it quick, guys!"

And so, the guild followed Megumin to a large slab, the stone depicting some cute anime cat girls.

"What…the heck?" Subaru said.

"Quick, back here!" Megumin said from behind the slab to see it covered in Japanese writing.

"Great! Hopefully, this'll tell us how to kill that Mage Killer, am I right?" Claude asked.

"Wait a second…" Ultra read the text over. "I recognize the way this was written… this is another entry from him!"

"Him? You mean the same guy who built the Mobile Fortress Destroyer?" Kazuma asked, hoping he was wrong.

"Yeah, him." Ultra sighed.

"Dammit! I was hoping we'd never have to deal with another mess that asshole made!" the otaku yelled.

"What're you talking about?" Luz asked.

"The Mobile Fortress Destroyer was made by this Scientist a few hundred years ago who was… let's just say not all that wise." Mirror Match said. "And from the looks of his writing, he could only be someone who you reincarnated into Belzerg, Aqua."

"Who is he?" Dimitri asked.

"Dunno, he never gave his name. But right now, his logs our only clue we've got to finding a solution to his own problem." DJ said. "So let's see what he has to say this time."

"Alright… so." Ultra said, reading it over. "Back when he was still alive, the Kingdom that ordered the fortress asked for an army of powerful super soldiers. So he took some people and made them expert…spell casters. No way…this guy made the Crimson Demons!"

"What did he say?" Megumin asked as her ears were covered by Ethox.

"Keep reading." Ethox said.

"Okay…so he picked the name at random. They were all people who were overly dramatic, red eyes…and he gave them all serial numbers. Seems he was also the one who made the Mage Killer. But…the demons swore it was their sworn enemy so they asked for a weapon that could combat it. He was so entranced by their nerdy personality that he did. A Railgun (TBD)." Ultra said.

"A railgun?" Edelgard asked. "What sort of weapon name is that?"

"It's a type of still in development weapon in more modern worlds. It's a cannon that uses electromagnetic force to fire high velocity projectiles." DJ said.

"Yeah…says it's about the same size as a pole….that you use to dry clothes on." Ultra said as they all realized the same thing.

"The Railgun… it's that thing we saw Chekera using to hang all of Megumin's new cloaks up!" Ethox realized.

"Question is if it will work." Yuri said.

"If it's been passed down to Chekera through generations, it has to be good for at least one more shot. Let's book it to his clothing store and grab it, fast!" Nemo said.

"All the way back? We'll never make it in time!" Aqua said.

"Hmm…" Ultra remarked as he looked at Luz. "Hey, Luz…remember that picture of other glyphs I gave you last week? Wasn't there a…?"

"Yeah, there was!" Luz recalled, pulling out a notepad and pencil and quickly making a glyph in the form of a shoe. "Alright, hope this works…" she said before striking on herself, causing a pink glow to wash over her, before she shot off like a bullet.

"Whoa! What the heck?!" Tida exclaimed.

"Speed Glyph. Luz is now as fast as Sonic…well, for a few minutes, at least. More than enough time to get the Railgun." Ultra explained.

"Great! All we gotta do is find a place to fire it from." Catarina said.

"The clearing near Megumin's place could work. Enough space to fire on that chimera." Amity said.

"Well let's go then." Claude said.

After a harrowing trek, the guild managed to reach the clearing, as they saw Sylvia and Wholks fighting each other a couple of yards away.

"You can't keep up with me, old man." Sylvia laughed.

"Maybe so, but as long as I still have breath in my body, you won't destroy this village." Wholks said.

"Oh really? I've already activated the Mage Killers functions and disabled the magical abilities of all the Crimson Demons in my range, including you. Without your powerful spells, you can't stand to defeat me!" Sylvia said. "What hope is there for you now?!" she asked as her goblin army charged.

"We have to do something!" Funifura said.

"But our magic's useless, what can we do?!" Arue asked.

"Light of Saber!" a voice called as light magic crashed down on a rock, crushing some of the goblins and cutting Sylvia and her army off from Wholks.

"What?!" Sylvia said before looking up to see Yunyun standing there above her and her army.

"I've come to put an end to your wickedness, Sylvia!" Yunyun said.

"Look, chief! It's your little girl!" one of the demons said to Hiropon.

"Yunyun?!" Funifura asked.

"What're you doing?!" Dodonko added.

"You're my friends, I can't abandon you." Yunyun said, before turning to Sylvia and doing the usual Crimson Demon thing… announcing herself in an overly dramatic but otherwise cool way. "My name is Yunyun! Archwizard and master of the most advanced magic! The greatest mage of the Crimson Demons, and future leader of the Crimson Demon clan!"

"My girl…! She never liked reciting her intro, but by damn that was perfect." Hiropon said as he cried a bit.

With the entire village behind her, Yunyun continued on. "I challenge you, Sylvia! If you wish to destroy my village, you'll have to get through me to do it!"

"How adorable… so adorable it makes the bile rise in my throat. Challenge accepted!" Sylvia declared, swiftly slithering Yunyun's way.

"Crud…she's gonna get herself killed. We need to fire now." Theo said.

"Scope is set!" Kazuma said as he was behind the railgun, prepared to take the shot. "Yeah baby! This'll shut her down for good!"

"To think, all these years, I've been hanging laundry from it! Go figure!" Chekera remarked from nearby.

"That's one of my future sons in law." Hyoizaburoo said.

"And…lights out." Kazuma said pulling the trigger but nothing happened. "Uh…now?" Kazuma said as he kept pulling the trigger.

"Kazuma…please tell me you're just screwing around." Theo said.

"I wish I was!" Kazuma yelled. "What the hell, is it broken?!"

"A good hard smack should fix it!" Darkness declared, as she began punching the railgun.

"No, honey, that's not how you fix things! No matter what Han Solo says!" Ultra said, holding Darkness back.

"Wait…it's not broken…it doesn't have any power in it." Emerald said observing it.

"Oh yeah! It must get charged up by Magical Energy! Its just running on empty!" Ethox said.

"But where are we gonna find enough magical energy to get this thing up to full power?" Amity asked.

Suddenly they heard a laugh. "The star takes the stage!" Megumin declared as she pointed her staff towards Sylvia, who was still chasing Yunyun as she ran for her life. At this time, she began charging her go to spell. "My name is Megumin! Supreme wielder of magic and greatest of my clan! Stellar of the wrath of the heavens!"

"Stop conjuring that ridiculous spell! Explosions dont work on her!" Yuiyui demanded, but Megumin was too absorbed in her own work to stop now.

"Come forth and dance, o' horrid of flame! And by my command, reveal your fury! Explosion!" Megumin called, casting explosion….but all the magical energy she was intending to send straight at Sylvia, ended up being sucked right into the railgun, charging it up to full power.

"What could they be plotting?" Sylvia asked as she changed targets and dashed right towards the group.

"We've got our power! Lock and fire, Kazuma!" DJ said as Kazuma grabbed the railgun once more.

"Sylvia, when you get to the other said, tell Verdia, Hans, Lucifer, and Odio that we said hi!" Kazuma declared as he took aim. "For we are the Fatebreak-!"

"Wahoo!" Komekko suddenly jumped out of Aqua's arms and pulled the trigger herself, the rail gun firing to the utter shock of everybody in attendance. Before Sylvia could even react, the hypervelocity projectile of magic energy pierced right through her stomach and made a huge hole through her.

"Wh-What the…?" Slyvia gasped. "Is this…how it all…ends…?" she croaked out as she fell down and exploded.

Komekko then walked in front of the flames and posed in front of them. "My name is Komekko! The most lovable little sister of the Crimson Demons! And defeater of the Devil King's general!" she declared, with a confident smile.

"...You know what? I'm not even mad, that's adorable." DJ said.

"So, we won right? We beat the Devil King's general, the Crimson Demon village is safe… mission accomplished?" Luz asked.

"Not quite. There's still the point of contention Sylvia mentioned before. About a traitor in our alliance." Edelgard said.

"Well, if were gonna suspect someone, might as well be Yuri." Claude said.

"Oh, very funny." Yuri said.

"It's not Yuri." Ethox rolled his eyes. "It has to be someone who was here before us. Someone who's charismatic enough to make us not suspect them, and someone who could just go where they wanted without anyone getting suspicious."

"Funny…that describes Wholks Rosenguard to a T." Yuri remarked.

"What?! How dare you accuse my father of being a traitor!" Rosalie snarled.

"Well, even if you are his daughter, don't you find it suspicious that he knew where to find the Crimson Demons Village to remove his curse? Or how easily he made himself look so beatable to Sylvia?" Yuri asked.

"Wait… Yuri, are you saying Wholks was only pretending to have Sylvia get him on the ropes?"

"Of course. And that's because he wanted us to do all the heavy lifting, so he could swoop in and claim what he was after all along… the power of a defeated Devil Kings General, merged with a magic destroying weapon. Isn't that right, Wholks?" Yuri asked.

"I don't think he's listening." Nemo said. "He's too busy standing in the remains of Slyvia, absorbing the excess mana into himself…wait, what?!"

In the valley where Sylvia exploded… there was Wholks, absorbing the excess mana from the railgun into himself, as well as holding a strange black orb.

"Well done. I should've known you would figure out my true allegiance before anyone else. Then again what else is there to be expected of you? The Savage Mockingbird, Yuri Leclerc. Leader of Abyss and the Ashen Wolves?"

"No… Father, this can't be true! You're working with Zenos Road?! But why, he was the one who cursed you!" Rosalie said.

Wolks then looked regretful at those words. "I am sorry, my daughter…but I have no choice. Long ago, I went on a journey to defeat Zenos Road, thinking it would bring about my end as well. I had no regard for my life…or so I thought. The Demon Lord saw right through me. He knew that deep within me, my regret at growing old, and my fear of dying before I was content had bred a darkness within me. I was truly, utterly, defeated. But Zenos offered to spare my life, and grant me a new rebirth. In exchange, I would become one of his minions, slaying any summoned hero that managed to reach the final steps before his throne. And more recently, he called upon me to end he lives of those who had defined him at every turn."

"So your proposal about a united alliance to defeat Zenos… it was all a lie?!" Dimitri asked.

"Oh, it was true…. True enough to gather you all in one single, solitary spot. Now, I will end you all here, with a weapon that will ensure you never cause trouble for Zenos Road again." Wholks said.

"What are you talking about? We junked the Mage-Killer, Sylvia was attached to the thing when we blew her beautiful ass to the afterlife!" Kazuma said.

"The Mage-Killer was a powerful tool…but only against those with magic." Wholks said. "And beyond that, the soul was still left intact, free to reincarnate at a later time. But imagine if there was a way to ensure that the soul, now matter how powerful it was, would be completely destroyed."

"...Chain Destruction…" Ethox remembered from the war in the Underworld. "But that's impossible. Ehto absorbed it into his body! It's out of Zenos Road's hands!"

"The Chain Destruction he gave to Ehto, yes…but not the one he gave to me!" Wholks declared. "What's more…he created a weapon that could hold such a power!" he said, revealing a large, black blade with red lines, that gave off a dreadful aura. "Behold, God Eater!"

"Well that changes things!" Kazuma said.

"It's not just that blade we have to worry about, Kazuma! You see that orb Wholks is holding?" Rista asked, referring to the black orb in Wholks hands. "That's a Demon Orb! If he swallows it-!"

"I will offer up all I have…even my own humanity…to ensure that my dream comes to pass!" Wholks declared as he took the orb and ate it, causing a powerful force to explode out of him as he laughed. Before the group's eyes, his body began to change, becoming younger in appearance.

"He's transformed into a Demonkin!" Aqua screamed in terror.

"Mythos Hearts, Fatebreakers, Leaders of Fodlan, and vessels of Sothis and Epimenides! All your accomplishments, all of your victories…they have led you here! Now face your final death…by my hand!" Wholks declared.
