Chapter I. The Misfit Class's New Term

At Gremory Chalet

As Leonard is busy clearing up the meeting desk at the conference room and stacking all the papers neatly on the shelf, he then hears the nearby phone ringing.

"Hello?" Leonard called up whoever is on the other side.

"Greetings, Captain Leonard of the Silent Snipers." Said the person on the other opposite end of the line.

"Ah, good evening, Lord Sullivan." Replied Leonard to the Chairman of Babylus. "What brings you to call me at this time of night?"

"I would like to tell you something about your son, Acheron." Sullivan answered.

"What about him?" Leonard asked.

"Here is what I'm gonna tell." Sullivan replied as the two men continued to converse for a few more minutes.

Iruma Suzuki, a 14-year-old human attending a demon institute of education, is on the way to the renowned Babylus Demon School alongside his older twin sister close friends: the top first-year Alice Asmodeus and playful Clara Valac. He and Clara seem to have large loads on their backs, the two of their baggages bouncing side-by-side.

"If I may ask, Master Iruma, what are you doing?" Asked Asmodeus. Iruma was about to answer, but Clara replied that it was something called a "morning giddy-giddy grooming".

The trio walked past the gates, greeting the Student Council as Iruma reminded himself that his human identity should not be disclosed in a world's population of demonkind in order to ensure he would not be eaten, which means he shouldn't stand out. Unfortunately, such will be proven difficult. On the way to class, many students recognized Iruma at the first sight of him because he and the members of the Misfit Class managed to take down a magical beast that suddenly appeared at the amusement park, Walter Park, and were now considered heroes of the Netherworld. Iruma and another three particular people played an especially huge role in this situation. The three were them stormed by a mass crowd of all the students present, Clara got on Asmodeus's back declaring it was an emergency.

"This is devi bad!" She said, "We need emergency evac, pronto!"

"Get off me!" Retorted Asmodeus in irritation.

Eiko Oni, an admirer of Iruma, had her camera at the ready but was struggling to get a good look at his face for a perfect photo while her dragon friend Gaako looked in a deadpan expression. Dosanko, an alien-looking girl, seemed to be lucky getting close to Asmodeus, who put her away gently before her kisses got even worse on his vest. As he told Iruma to get to the classroom as quickly as possible, there was only one person who could stand out with popularity and keeps control of the school. That wasn't the pouting Student Council President and second-year Azazel Ameri, though.

"My good people of Babylus Demon School! Have you all no regards of conscience?" Spoke an elegant and powerful voice.

Such tone was recognized and many admire yet fear this young dame's presence. Students looked behind them to find a dark azure-haired girl with a black and white uniform accompanied by lady knight of the Netherworld and Royal Guard heiress, Lavande Félin.

"Please move in the name of the Prinz der Außebseider! This for I, Ryūko Suzuki, Prinzessin der Babylus, make my arrival!" This young lady is cambion Ryūko Suzuki, half-demoness and half-human offspring. She's the elder twin sister of Iruma, but built with pride and composed presentation, dubbed as the academy's princess for her most gracious works in the whole school.

"A hall! A hall! Make way for Her Highness, citizens!" Ordered Lavande, "And may this day be blessed in the name of our King!"

The students kept their distances and continued to fawn over the beauty of their princess and the graceful knight. Upon meeting Iruma and the others, they all swiftly fled the sea of people to find their classmates at the Royal One posing for what appeared to be photographs. This confused Ryūko for a second, ironically as did her stern pride spoke for itself.

"My attendees, is this what I may assume you may be partaking in?" Asked Ryūko.

"What do you mean?" Asked Lied Shax with a smug gaze.

"We couldn't ignore fans. This fame is so much fun." Replied Jazz M. Andro.

"It's fan-service." Added Elizabetta Ix.

"We've been asking for selfies and autographs all morning." Said Goemon Garp, "It's amazing."

"Can you blame them for admiring me, the next Demon King?! It's only natural." Said Sabro Sabnock.

"So this must be the garden of... ecstasy!" Exclaimed Kamui Caim, "I've only dreamed of wondering until now."

"Hey, guys! What's all the ruckus about?" Acheron Gremory asked, as he popped in the conversation.

Acheron Gremory comes from the Gremory clan, whose father is the head of the Silent Snipers, an elusive organization that were once hunters but later transitioned to socio-economic reformists.

"Hello again, Gremory." Greeted Ryūko, "It looks like my classmates have been providing an audience some form of memorial entertainment through photographs and signatures. Also, I wasn't able to find Isabelle anywhere. Have you seen her?"

"I'm here, Ryūko!" Replied Isabelle Abaddon running up to her, "Gosh, that crowd was hard to get through."

A cambion like Ryūko, Isabelle Abaddon is the daughter of Kattrin, a Babylus graduate. She is also the Stern der Hoffnung, the keeper of the Hellraiser crown, and the Suzuki twins' housemate.

"Good morrow, Stern der Hoffnung." Greeted Lavande in utmost formality.

"So it would seem that our classmates really love basking in the glory, do they?" Isabelle said as she took notice of her friends doing a little pose down.

"Indeed, they do, Miss Isa." Asmodeus replied. "Ever since we saved the people in Walter Park from certain doom, everyone has their eyes on us. They are all seeing us as heroes and celebrities."

Then there was a bright flash of lightning and a familiar demon appeared suddenly at Ryuko's side.

"Hey, Ryuko! What's this?" Glared Kaminari Levina intimidatingly at the mob of students crowding her classmates, who looked up at the sudden brightness. Given her similar appearance to Ryuko (minus the hair color, eye color, ears, and tail), this was a very effective move.

"They've let this go to their heads." Commented Asmodeus.

"Um... they're backing down now..." Sighed Jazz pointing at the Pikachu demon, keeping her cold, stern gaze on the crowd of students. They slowly backed off. Kaminari hummed contentedly and walked through the space through the students. They were all muttering about her as she walked in the classroom.

One student shivered. "So that's Levina..."

Another stared at her as she walked in. "She's literally terrifying!"

Some student added to the babble. "You know during the Walter Park incident? I heard she came back from the dead!"

"Hmm... at least that's one way to keep the nosy fans out of your way." Said Acheron as he was a bit surprised by the sudden change in atmosphere thanks to the electric demon, "Anyway, I gotta head to my own classroom. I'll see you guys at lunchtime."

"Okay, Acheron. We'll see you later." Iruma replied back.

Little did Acheron nor the Misfits know that his time in his own classroom will be the last time for him.

"It's a little... hard getting through here without getting noticed." Said Siegfried Yanna, who was next to Lavande, "Th-That's why I had to bring detection-warding glasses today. Sorry if you couldn't see me earlier."

"It is quite alright, Lady Siegfried." Reassured Lavande.

It appeared that all of the Misfit Class's students are present and they waved goodbye to their fans as the doors of Royal One closed upon entry.

"Who knew the Walter Park effect is gonna be this huge." Said Lied, with his nose too high up.

"Not to mention we're using the Royal One." Added Jazz.

"When I look back on it now, I think we were always worthy of this classroom. I just didn't realize." Replied the gamer, "There's no doubt it. Considering how amazing and heroic we all are, I'm gonna go ahead and say Emperor Doom and Gloom is pretty twisted for trying to give us more homework-"

He stopped boasting when their homeroom teacher, Kalego Naberius, placed a hand on Lied's head before having him tied up and with his feet tethered to the ceiling as punishment.

"Today is the first day of your new term." Said Kalego, "Much occurred during your End-of-Terminus, so you best lose your lax attitudes from break to prepare for your studies. The Harvest Festival, not to mention the Music Festival... just two of this term's many pending events, and you will be taking rank-advancement exams."

Once he finished the announcement, Lied was finally down to his desk as the class began to acknowledge the opportunities ahead of them.

The only person that needed to raise a question was Lavande, suspecting that such is only normal for the majority of first-years.

"I apologize for interrupting, Lord Naberius." She formally excused, "But may it be of a safe assumption to state that will be the case for the majority of student in our graded year, given the new expectations on the Misfit Class being risen?"

"Do not apologize for it, Félin." Said Kalego, "In fact, your question is on the right track. What she meant was that what I mentioned would be the case if you were normal first-years. Now then, hear this, Misfit Class. Each and everyone of you are all "special"."

He prepared himself with a set of ear protectors and instructed Isabelle to continue with the statement, which she said, "As from what the professor and Lavande mentioned before, we students of the Royal One, the class of His Majesty, also entail in a curriculum in the aligned star of prestige of such glorious facility."

She and Lavande were also provided ear prorectors before an enlarged scroll spoke up with an announcement.

"Attention, students! Here is the Babylus special class order!" Shouted the paper, "Let it be known that those of the Misfit Class must reach Dalet (ד) rank before becoming second-years!"

Explanation of Rank 4 (Dalet)

Dalet is the borderline rank right before graduation. To require first-years to achieve that rank is abnormal indeed.

A message most unbelievable with highest expectations! The announcement erupted a shockwave within the whole Misfit Class.

"But before we discuss these important matters, I have another announcement. According to what the Chairdemon had discussed with me and the rest of the teachers a while ago, a student will be transferred from their class to ours." Kalego continued on as this really piqued the class' interest as they wonder who the transferee is gonna be.

As if on cue, the classroom doors open to reveal a seemingly familiar black jacket to the entire class.

"ACHERON?!/GREMORY?!/AKE-AKE?!" Most of them exclaimed in shock.

"You're the one transferring to our class? But why?" Asked Isabelle.

"Well, here's how it went." Acheron replied as he scratched his head.

Let's go back to the first hours of morning classes.

As the homeroom teacher began discussing what the new term has to offer for the students, Acheron is jotting down on his notepad on what he needs to prepare for the term. Just then, a winged speaker flew inside the classroom.

"Acheron Gremory from the Class A. Please come to the chairdemon's office immediately." Said the broadcaster through the speaker, "Acheron Gremory from the Class A. Please come to the chairdemon's office immediately." It announced.

"Hmm... I wonder what's going on?" Acheron asked himself as he got up from his seat, exited the classroom and headed to the chairdemon's office

"Excuse me, what brings me here?" Asked Acheron as he opened door.

"Ah, welcome, Acheron. Please, take a seat." Sullivan greeted the young student as the latter sat on the chair in front of the chairdemon's desk. "Listen, your father, Captain Leonard, and I had a little talk about you last night and we both noticed that you often hang out with the Misfit Class, particularly my grandchildren, their housemate, and their close friends Valac, Félin, and Asmodeus. I even talked about the teachers about this and they, too, apparently agree to transfer you to the Misfit Class. Though, there might be a downside on this offer." Sullivan started the discussion.

"What is it?" Asked Acheron.

"Ever since the incident at Walter Park last month, people around the Netherworld have been seeing your friends and yourself as heroes and celebrities because you all rescued every single civilian in that park from catastrophe. The entire faculty of Babylus decided to give the Misfit Class the challenge of attaining rank 4 by the end of first year."

"I see, but what happens otherwise?"

"Then you and the rest of your soon-to-be classmates will be kicked out of Royal One. Besides, you don't want that to happen, right?"

This made Acheron think. Sure, that is a daunting challenge he will face if he goes through the transfer. But then again, what good is a challenge if not accepted and overcome?

"Okay, sir. I accept this transfer. I have a feeling that my soon-to-be new classmates will pull through and come out victorious." Acheron finalized through his words.

"Excellent!" Replied Sullivan with sparkles in his eyes, "You may now go, get your stuff, and head to your new classroom.

Acheron did just that. He even told his soon-to-be former classmates about this. Many of them wish him luck, some even cheer that he gets to be in the Misfit Class, and some couldn't help but feel jealous that he gets to be in the most popular class in the school.

"And that's what happened." Acheron finished.

Hearing this, Ryūko stood up without forgetting what seemed to be the most appropriate welcoming etiquette to earning Acheron's respect for a long-term membership of the Misfit Class.

"Even with stakes of our current positions as the singular unit of soldiers rising to summits high and untouched, it is my honor to welcome you to my retinue." Greeted Ryūko, extending her hand to Acheron, "I, Prinzessin der Babylus, humbly extend my utmost greeting of recognision and faith in your abilities. And this, may it be my welcoming on the behalf of all in this vicinity, Acheron Gremory."

'Heh?! She doesn't even act surprised?' Noticed Iruma.

"I, too, extend my greetings in honor of your arrival, Sir Gremory." Followed Lavande.

"Welcome to our class, Gremory." Welcomed Asmodeus.

"Ake-Ake! Welcome!" Exclaimed Clara, "Here, take this photo of all 7 of us as a welcoming present! Got it after Lave-Lave shared that picture back at MagiApp!"

Acheron shook Ryūko's hand and greeted the rest of the class.

"Now then, you may take a seat, Acheron." Said Kalego as Acheron sat down on his designated seat, waving at Isabelle as she waved back at him.

"Now back to important matters. First-years all achieving Dalet rank... That will be quite the feat." Smirked Kalego ominously before having to get his students' attention, "Are you even listening?!"

Almost everyone panicked in fear of losing the prestigious classroom and to face humiliation again. Kaminari stood up and made a lightning bolt and thunder roared through the air.

"Are we the Misfits, or not?!" She questioned, "We can destroy them all! So what if we have to be Dalet rank? We got into the Royal One, didn't we? Let's show Babylus that we aren't just a bunch of miscreants! We'll show them that we are unstoppable."

Isabelle also stood up as her horns become engulfed in blue flames. "Kaminari's right! We really deserved this classroom ever since we caught wind of it. If we want to keep this classroom to ourselves, we have to take the risk! We need to show this school that we are who we are. We're strong, brave, and true demon students ready to make a difference in this school."

"In offensive led by Thundering Retribution, perceived to vanquish the malevolence by my crimson Auge der Veurteilung's ever almighty gaze, we must stand tall to strengthen our power as we can and will march to victory!" Cried out Ryūko to spark immovable determination once more, "In my command, we will not be defeated nor will we surrender to enemy taunts!"

"We must all stand together, minds and hearts as one!" Shouted Lavande, "May the blood and tears of all foes be engraved upon our statues of everlasting victory!"

'My, it seems that those four are really determined in their own right. I'll give them that.' Thought Kalego before speaking up, "However, this is only a part of your classes. You will not endure impossible tasks. In order to help you all advance to Dalet, our school has prepared a plan: special tutors for all of you."

And with the snap of his fingers, seven incredible demons entered the Royal One. Here is the alignment Kalego has made.

[Tutor-Student Allignment]

Sergeant Furfur - Jazz M. Andro & Schneider Allocer

Lady Vepar - Goemon Garp & Picero Agares

Raim - Elizabetta Ix, Clara Valac, & Yanna Siegfried

Mr. Hat - Keroli Crocell & Kamui Caim

Shichiro Balam - Alice Asmodeus & Sabro Sabnock

Sir Sombre Félin - Ryūko Suzuki, Lavande Félin, & Kaminari Levina

Captain Leonard Gremory - Isabelle Abbadon & Acheron Gremory

A brilliant selection of instructors do we have here! With three familiar faces - Babylus instructors, Lavande's father, Acheron's father, and high-level famous figures, this new term will be proven interesting. However, Iruma and Lied weren't given a tutor. They thought it would be Kalego, but he was just in charge of assigning the instructors.

"Try not to look so relieved." Scorned Kalego, "Ingrates."

"If it's not him, who's our tutor gonna be?" Asked Iruma.

"Duh. He's right there. See for yourself." Said Kalego pointing at another familiar demon. That happened to be their Familiars Subject professor Robin Balse.

"Aw, shucks! I'm still a newbie, and now I get to be a mentor?" He exclaimed, "But don't you worry! If you put yourselves in my hand, I vow you will rank up! Feel free to call me 'Master'!"

[Time Skip to After School]

Professor Momonoki Morax, Instructor for Basic Magic, had just concluded her lesson for the day and telling everyone to ensure they review it well, especially the majority of the Misfit Class who appeared unable to focus throughout the whole lesson. Lied appeared exhausted, claiming nothing fits in his brain.

"That announcement this morning kinda came out of nowhere." Commented Iruma.

"Honestly, I'm not even sure if I'm excited or nervous." Admitted Isabelle.

"Félin and I had the idea we would be pushed to our limits." Sighed Ryūko, "Now all eyes on us will make this a bigger challenge."

"Yeah, so I hope we're doing something cool for our special lessons." Implied Clara.

"Nah, it's not good." Lamented Jazz, "Don't you get it? We'll be worked to the bone. They might even just drag us onto the battlefield."

"Be it as it may, Sir Andro. But that will be years too early." Said Lavande, "A soldier must not be on the battlefield untrained or unfit for warfare."

"Yeah, she's right." Concurred Yanna, "I-I'm sure they'll tell us soon-"

Suddenly, the doors flung open with all the Special Tutors barging in.

"Are you done with class, everyone?" Asked Furfur, "It's time to get this show on the road!"

And just like that, the Misfits exited the room alongside their respective tutors while Vepar, Leonard, and Sombre apologized to Momonoki for the intrusion. The latter seemed to have heard that the tutors would come by, although it was rather sudden.

Everyone gathered outside to have their lessons out of the school grounds or other places of sorts. In a heartbeat, Furfur levitated with his flame-ombre tail holding Jazz and Schneider under his arms.

"You okay there, Iruma-kins?" Asked Clara, "You feeling lonely? Want a piece gum, chum?"

"No, I'm okay." Replied Iruma, "You'll be doing great, right, Sis?"

"Fufufu. Indeed I will, young Prinz." Chuckled Ryūko, amused by what she viewed as lowly underestimation, "Why, it shall be never unspoken that the grace and utmost power of the Prinzessin will ever be ablaze in both the hearts of my subjects and to bring despair to all whom trespass in territory evaluating them as unworthy of my immortal glory."

"We can handle this, right?" Said Iruma, having to huddle with his sister and closest friends.

"I, your friend Alice Asmodeus, swear to you that my loyalty will never wane, dear Master Iruma, Miss Isa, and Miss Ryūko." Vowed Asmodeus.

"By the next time we see each other, I'll have grown by leaps and bounds!" Said Clara.

"This will be the first time we will be training in separate groups. So I hope each of you have the best of luck in your training under your respective mentors, as do I in mine and Isa's." Added Acheron.

"To which now, we vow and take flights apart in the pathways to our most trustworthy mentors we inlay this need of strength." Said Lavande, "Then to thee, I must go withal Her Highness and to my father."

"Let's not let our skills be wavered by each other's distance and respective tasks. I'm more than hopeful that all of our efforts will finally be worth it once we start the Harvest Festival." Said Isabelle.

"Most endearing is our rite of parting, my dear attendants. It is time we make our way to the skies above in search of the course sure to bring us utter victory." Said Ryūko, "Until then, it is farewell. Most gracious god'den and farewell!"

"Hey, honor students!" Called Sabro doing some squats, "You done with your tearful goodbyes yet?"

"Okay, guys. Break!" Said Isabelle and with that signal, the seven of them parted ways onto the merciless courses they go!

Away from Babylus Demon School

With Sergeant Furfur

Jazz was still in fright, but even more so that the special lessons take place out of school compounds. When he shouted such a question, it appears that he and Schneider were bound hanging for dear life with Furfur keeping them afloat some feet below him.

"Hello? Where the heck are we going?!" Asked Jazz, having to shout due to echoes across the canyons.

"A special place for adults." Replied Furfur swaying his head side-to-side, "But first, let's have a little talk. You needn't worry! I have a very adult plan to help you raise your ranks and I guarantee you're gonna love it!"

"Adult plan?" Pondered Jazz.

"The imagination has infinite potential." Said Schneider.

Well, that sounds oddly suspicious. The idea of going to a place for adults being a ground of learning? Who would have thought of such a thing?

At Babylus Demon School, Underground Gym

With Lady Vepar

Under the school building, weeping could be heard in the introductions of Vepar. She could not introduce herself properly as she was already broken to tears.

"Don't mean to pry but are you alright?" Asked Goemon.

"I'm getting really tired all of a sudden." Commented Picero, despite not having five minutes past of doing nothing at all. This frightened Vepar, as there hasn't been any work done yet.

"Deepest apologies!" She apologized before turning around, "The youth scare me. But I have to give out my all! Yes, I can do this! I know I can do it if I try!"

"Well, she's certainly unique." Said Goemon.

"Can you even give lessons in a condition like that?" Asked Picero, not even being careful with his words.

"Y-Yes, I can, thank you!" Replied Vepar, probably insulted by that comment, "See? The thing is, I'm... I'm quite clumsy and a bit of a crybaby. However... It works to my advantage because some things only crybabies can do!"

And in a flash, a tidal wave flooded the grounds as she asks if Goemon and Picero are willing to listen to her plan.

As that occurred, Goemon and Picero might be in a dangerous situation. Will they survive?

At a Dem-dol Studio

With Mr. Hat

Keroli was in for a surprise. Her tutor seems to be aware of her ongoing career as a dem-dol.

"Wha... Wh-Wh-What are you doing in this studio?" She asked Mr. Hat, who has having a sip of tea, "No one mentioned this to me."

What laid before Keroli was a fancy tea-set set on a table with Mr. Hat seated legs crossed.

"Well, the short of it is-" He answered, "I'm here for your lesson, my dear. G. Kamui has left to change but he'll be back soon."

Keroli questioned what exactly he meant by "G", which turned out to stand for "gentleman".

"Although I have not informed him that you are a dem-dol as I thought it'd be best to keep that quiet." Continued Mr. Hat as Keroli tried to tell him to leave, saying she was busy, "I'm sorry but M. Manager Mal has already agreed to this. Understand this training will help you grow as a dem-dol, as well. Now, L. Keroli, have a seat. That is the form I encourage for you to take to listen to my plan."

In a Succubus Booth

With Professor Raim

In a velvet room scented with an alluring fragrance, Clara and Elizabetta appeared laser-focused on Raim whereas Yanna looked mixed with concerns and attentiveness.

"You must raise your femininity in order raise your rank." Said Raim, "Under my loving wing, you three baby girls will soon blossom into exquisite lady demons. But also to reach our goals, women must be ruthless. This training will be cool yet difficult. With that in mind, I ask you... If transform you three into the ultimate demonesses, will you enact my plan?"

"Yes, please! Teach us everything you know!" Exclaimed Clara and Elizabetta.

"P-Please teach us well!" Said Yanna with slight reluctance.

At the Royal Guard Castle

With Sir Sombre Félin

For the Leader of the Royal Guard, he has Ryūko and Kaminari demonstrated their ability to use their bloodline magic while having the mandatory usage of a sword. While Kaminari showed a display of recklessness in combat and unaccustomed to bladework, Ryūko dazzled her peers with an artistic showcase of dance and control- much is befitting to the elegance of her title.

"That was awesome, Ryūko! A lot more controlled than my style of fighting." Cheered Kaminari, "The ground blowing up with crystal out of the quake reminds me of my last move. The thing about using music is something I could never do since I fight without control and with aggression. Yours is more about... gentle strength, if it makes sense."

"Be it uttered, word from the stars, kill with kindness. So, too, I have slain foes with the beauty of graceful dance." Said Ryūko.

Sombre nodded after a short whisper from his daughter and turned to his students.

"If you may inquire, Lavande needs not to showcase her blade and magic combat before me as I have spectacled such many a time." He said, "Seeing how you all harness your bloodline magic, I shall grant a hand-on syllabus from this day forth, for my teachings will soon gift a power dubbed impossible to achieve - Bloodline Breath Style magic. Lavande is already a holder of such ability, and this enables her to enhance the strength and capabilities her bloodline magic cannot reach by normal standards. That I will also outreach and give unto thee a regime of fortification power."

It sounds as if Sombre is willing to teach the impossible to such magnificent young warriors. The heir of the Royal Guard's leadership, the monarch of an academy, and a deadly force of lightning are all in for the top with the greatest knight of the Netherworld as their mentor.

At Gremory Chalet

With Captain Leonard Gremory

Isabelle looked around the interior of the house as the foyer has portraits of late relatives of the Gremory clan.

"Hmm... pray tell, Captain Gremory, is our training grounds be anywhere within or near the vicinity of your humble mountaintop abode?" Asked Isabelle.

"Indeed, Miss Abaddon. And as a matter of fact, we will be there in no time." Replied Leonard.

As they exit the back door, the three were met with an enormous field with trees surrounding the perimeter and grass spread around every square meter of the clearing. Here, Isabelle saw many members of the Silent Snipers practicing with each of the weapons they are wielding. Some of them have guns, others have daggers, others have crossbows, and others have hand fans. They all stop what they are doing and greeted Leonard, Acheron, and Isabelle.

"Welcome to our training grounds, Isa." Said Acheron. "Ever since I was a kid, my father has brought me here to teach me on the ways of being a socio-economic reformist and the future head of the Silent Snipers. This is also where we train our new recruits.

A fellow soldier spotted Isabelle's gauntlets and predicted what the Captain needed them to fetch. So he did, and presented what may become of important use for Isabelle. Another member did the same, except with a pair of weapons akin to large blades with the mechanics of a firearm.

"As our name suggests, we eliminate all threats in the usage of firearms empowered by our magic." Said Leonard, "Hearing you are a gauntlet user, this item may be of great practical use for your abilities, Isabelle." He handed over what was given down to Isabelle for she must evaluate its form before entering a new gate to combat.

"You see, when it comes to weaponry, our organization is the expert at it. Our weapons are not just limited to just firearms and other long-range weapons. We also have weapons designed for melee combat." Leonard continued as he showed some of the members practicing melee with spears, daggers, even giant halberds similar to the ones Sabro creates.

"And since this is your first time training with us, Miss Abaddon, we would cover the basic steps first."

The three head over to an empty training spot and with a weapons rack on one side of the area and some targets and a training dummy on the other side.

"Okay, Isa. Here's the drill." Said Acheron, "With the gauntlets you now have, see if you can hit the targets and make that dummy fall to the ground."

Leonard set up the positions of said objects for Isabelle to make a head start.

"We should precisely evaluate whether or not certain aspects of basics training in necessary in your case to ensure it does not feel as if your strengths are overlooked by any fundamental means." He added.

With careful, yet swift precision, Isabelle shot two targets on bullseye. It signaled that she needed something more difficult for evaluation. As if the area read her mind, more bullseyes and dummies appear and she paid close attention to every single thing that appears in front of her, behind her, and around her. Isabelle made a sharp turn, hand on the ground to lift herself into the air and shooting dummies closing in to her direction. She spun her legs around to push away the objects before jumping from one of them to give a boost for evading to the opposite direction of the field. It almost seemed like a football match, but it's only person in a team against a whole group. Right onto a dash at under the targets, the cambion deters with close-quarter firing range in the first front of the wave. She leaps with top-rock ending, aggressively sending a windmill kick to those at overcrowding stages of contact, and both second and third rows of the wave of obstacles were decimated with incredible speed in modern dance. As soon as Isabelle ended, every bullseye has been singed and splintered and all the dummies were knocked off their posts. All the other training members stopped what they're doing to see what Isabelle had done. Acheron and Leonard were just still as statues, expressions of shock were painted on their faces before the former slowly clapped at the incredible combat performance.

"Wow. In all my years of training my associates, I've never seen someone so proficient when it comes to combat. You even added grace and style to your fighting feats." Leonard was awed by the outcome.

"Thanks, Captain. You could say that I had self-defense practice when I was young and I picked up some moves from my housemates." Replied Isabelle.

"Well, I suppose that means we might not have to go through basics training." Shrugged Acheron, "Then again, this is one of the honor students we're talking to."

"It appears that this part of our training is far easy for her and you, son. Besides, I already had something in mind for both of you." Said Leonard.

At Babyls Demon School, Underground Gym - Varied Section

With Professor Balam Shichiro

On the floor, Sabro and Asmodeus look beaten up and nearly defeated.

"Down for the count already?" Asked Shichiro, "As powerful as the two of you are, you should've gotten up by now. This is only the first day, and you're still full of energy, so I'm afraid you'll have to meet your quotas."

Have you noticed the repetition of words each tutors has stated? That meant each of them has a unique plan for all their students to help awaken their true powers. Here is what they will make out of the Misfits among all of the first-years at Babyls.

The Tutors' Plans

Sergeant Furfur - The Craftiest & Never-losing First-Years

Lady Vepar - The Most Advanced Bloodline Ability Users

Professor Shichiro Balam - The Most Powerful First-Year Fighter

Mr. Hat - The Most Skilled First-year Summoners

Professor Raim - The Most Charming & Sexiest First-Years

Sir Sombre Félin - The Most Formidable Magic-Using Juveniles

Captain Leonard Gremory - The Most Versatile Young Hunters

Robin was taking Lied and Iruma out on a run across the fields. But his plan was not like his senior instructors because it was about fighting spirit. He had Iruma and Lied to hype up, which left the students with great doubts.

"I'm not sure why, but even though we haven't seen everyone else's training, I had this funny feeling we're way behind them." Said Lied, up to Iruma's agreement.

"Come on, we gotta hurry! Don't forget that fighting spirit, my boys!" Instructed Robin.

Iruma told him to wait for a moment before he went away to drop a text message to Ameri.

With Ameri Azazel

Ameri was in a state of reminiscing her date with Iruma during the End-of-Terminus, which ended up really fun for them. She was certain that Iruma somewhat enjoyed himself, or so she hoped.

"And that's why, when the new term was about to start, I planned to connect with Iruma more. I was gonna be far more assertive and my efforts to interact with him and everything." She pouted before sitting down at a bench, "Because of his heroic acts at Walter Park, he's become so popular. No! I mean Iruma becoming popular is definitely a good thing. He deserves it, but..." Just as she set herself down, her phone ringed with a notification.

She received a text message from Iruma, which brought her spirits up. "Sorry, Ameri, but..." Apologized Iruma through the message, "The Harvest Festival is coming and I have to train for it now, so I don't think I can do our reading sessions for a while. I'm so so sorry!"

Seeing this, Ameri recalled a specific chapter of the shojō manga used in said reading sessions dubbed First Love Memories. Such reminded her of the current moment, and this truly applied to it.

"The Harvest Festival is a very important event." Reassured Ameri to self, "Do your best, Isabelle, Ryūko, and Iruma."

With Professor Robin Balse

Back with Robin, Iruma and Lied, they were all making a run to the Royal One. Lied asked why was there a need to rush, to which Robin answered someone he knows is waiting for them.

"I was a little uneasy about the thought of having to train you two, so I thought it'd be a good idea to call in one if my relatives to help." Said Robin as they rushed into the room, "She's really amazing! I mean it. She's super strong and super reliable-"

Not even more than a minute in, Robin received a bad slap sending him some distance away from a short woman in pink.

"For goodness' sake..." She complained, "You think I have all damn day? Looks like that fighting spirit still needs some work! Does it?!"

This is the Undead Archer, Bachiko Barbatos - one of the Three Heroes of the Valley and member of the notable archer clan of Barbatos.

After a moment, Lied and Iruma were seated on their knees while Bachiko munched on a snack.

"I can't believe you had the nerve... to make me wait five minutes." She scowled, "Man, I mean talk about a total bummer. Just so you know, I only came here to help you boneheads because Lord Sullivan asked me to but it's not like I promised to, like, be your mentor or anything."

'Grandpa asked her to be here?' Thought Iruma in question, given he and Ryūko are Sullivan's adopted grandchildren.

'I guess that she's really amazing!' Wondered Lied in hope.

"Honestly, I'm counting the minutes 'til I get to go home." Continued Bachiko.

That sent a panic attack straight to them because they can't have Robin to train them by himself. Unfortunately, Robin was fixated at the beauty of the Royal One.

"They clearly don't trust you, Robi." Commented Bachiko, "I can't say I blame 'em. Alright, then. If you're serious about me being your mentor, I'm gonna have to insist that you actually treat me like one. You heard me. Make me feel like a mentor."

Now before we set the score up, did you think Bachiko was taking about the basic respect and discipline between mentor and pupil? Well, not exactly. Iruma and Lied ended up carrying her on a decorative seat around the school. Any passersby seemed confused with whatever occurred on that day. On the sidelines, Gaako and Dariss were looking at Eiko hanging on a tree branch as if she was a koala.

"Just what kind animal are you?" Asked Gaako.

"Isn't that a koala?" Wondered Dariss, "She's definitely got the look for it."

"I'm a wearable evil-lens camera, obviously!" Replied Eiko. Apparently, blinking is a way to capture photos upon wearing them.

"Oh, maybe I should get those for investigations before another mock-up trial!" Thought Dariss aloud.

"But maybe it won't work out as much because you'll blink at the wrong things, Dariss." Said Gaako.

"Ah! Right, I guess I didn't think that far." Shrugged the junior attorney student, "But, I'm glad Ryūko trusts me with her Demonitor, Kronī."

That fella is under his supervision since Ryūko can't make it back to her respective Battler care for it.

While that went around, Bachiko gave her students some errands to do- all from specific purchases and massages to unauthorized doodles over the walls. It was a crazy ride. The two were puckered out, but Bachiko still wasn't in the mood.

"You guys are so soft and weak." She laughed.

"Um... So do you feel like a mentor now?" Asked Lied.

"I'm still not quite there yet." Replied Bachiko, "Come to think of it, what hypes me up even more is if I saw something real cute."

What exactly did she mean by that? Of course, it had to be cute girls! But it seems like Iruma, once again got into these crossdressing shenanigans. Lied also has to be in that. Bachiko addressed Iruma as Illuminati and Lied as Lindy. Both of them had to act as Bachiko personal maids. This has her satisfied, though.

"How sweet." Said the archer, "You look surprisingly adorable. Don't you think, Illuminati? Now, put this on. You, too, Lindy."

They were instructed to accessorize themselves with frilly headbands, but that brought them in a struggle bundle. Although, Bachiko wasn't wrong when she said they turned out adorable.

In the end, Bachiko began training Iruma and Lied as per Sullivan's request- in a sense? Just what kind of training will come of dressing them as maids? That is on its way to be continued.

~Interval~

Before Iruma and Lied began to get into their maid roles, they had to get themselves changed into the dresses.

"WHAT?! I'm really wearing this? Seriously?" Questioned Lied, "How do even put this on?! It's so complicated! Way too confusing, eh, Iruma?"

Or so he thought, Iruma got into his outfit astonishingly quickly. Does anyone have a sense of déjà-vu seeing this? Oh dear, Lied stop staring at Iruma so weirdly!

(A/N: After months of endless waiting for new OC applicants for the Trailblazers and getting 2 new recruits by last month, I decided to start on Book 3 while Book 2 is still not complete. Thank you and have good day/night.)
