JANUARY
Seth took a sip of his sparkling water while he was watching Thora out on the dance floor with Bayley. Several of the wrestlers had agreed to go out together after the show but he only had eyes for her. Her long, medium brown hair was hanging loose and swinging around as she had fun on the dance floor. Her bottle green eyes were too far away for him to see but he saw them clearly in her mind.
Thora stopped dancing and waved her hand in front of her face as if to say she was hot. She was telling Bayley something and then she walked away. Seth's eyes followed her as she left the bar and walked outside.
"A penny for your thoughts," Rhea said.
Seth turned his head and looked at Rhea sitting next to him. He liked her. They hadn't talked much but she seemed nice enough.
"I'm hot," he smiled. "I'm gonna go outside to catch some air."
"I'll guard your seat," she joked.
"Thanks," he chuckled.
He got up and walked outside. It didn't take long to find Thora. She was leaning up against the wall and looking up at the stars.
"Any shooting stars tonight?" He asked.
"Just you," she said.
She smiled at him and he couldn't help but smile back. He had tried so hard not to fall for her but it was impossible. All the flirting and sexual tension between them. He knew he couldn't fight it much longer.
"Can I take you out on a date?" He asked.
The words just came out of his mouth before he could even think about what he was asking her. Her smile changed and her eyes didn't look as happy as a second earlier.
"As much as I would love to say yes, we shouldn't date," she said.
"Why not?" He asked.
"I'm only staying this year. My contract is up in December and I'm not resigning. I'm not staying in USA. I'm leaving just before Christmas," she said.
"You're going home to Denmark?" He asked.
"Yeah," she sighed. "This place isn't for me. Don't get me wrong. I've loved getting to live my dream but your beliefs and the hatred I see everywhere is so far away from what I grew up with. I can't stay here forever. And I miss my country. The plan was never to stay forever."
He couldn't blame her for that. She had been there for almost 9 years. Three times had she signed a 3 years contract with WWE. He just thought she would resign and continue to stay there like many others.
"We could still date for a year," he said.
"Seth," she shook her head no. "That won't be wise."
He pushed some of her hair behind her ear and leaned closer.
"Maybe I don't care about what's wise or not," he said.
He leaned in and kissed her. She rested a hand on his hip while the other ran through his hair. It felt like time stood still around them while the kiss lasted. He broke it and smirked at her.
"Think about it, Thora," he said. "I'm not going anywhere."
