A/N: I'm not really sure what poor Julia did to deserve this, but here you go.

"Mom, I am so sorry," Kensi whispered, leaning as close to Julia as she could. They were both chained to concrete pillars in an otherwise empty room. Their hands were left unbound, which worried Kensi more than being chained up. There was just enough light to see each other and Kensi could tell her mom was trying to hide how afraid she was. "I will get you out of here."

"What about Marty?" Julia whispered back, glancing back at the single metal door that led to god only knew what. Kensi swallowed harshly, trying not to let thoughts of Deeks overwhelm her.

Their captors, masked and silent, had dragged Deeks away as kicked and screamed, fighting them with everything he hand. And then one of the men had slammed his gun into Deeks' temple and he'd been silent.

Swallowing again, Kensi pushed down her fear and grabbed her mom's hand.

"I'm not leaving either of you here."

18 Hours Earlier

"And that's game!" Deeks shouted, giving a victorious whoop as he turned to Kensi for a double high five. "Team Deeks-Blye wins again."

"Uh-Uh, Kensi was too close to the net for her throws," Sam said predictably. "I want a rematch."

"I was not!" Kensi protested in outrage.

"The rule is 7 meters away." Deeks held up a finger, the basketball tucked under one arm, adopting the expression Kensi liked to call his "lawyer face".

"Actually, that would only be accurate if we were playing under NBA rules," Sam," he started, winking at Kensi as stared at him in appreciation. He cleared his throat noisily, which earned an annoyed look from Sam. "However, if you'll recall your team chose to use FIBA rules today and, correct if I'm wrong, the distance for a 3-point shot is exactly 6.75 meters."

"And that is why I married a lawyer," Kensi declared, leaning up to kiss Deeks.

"Just accept defeat," Callen suggested, still breathing heavily as he used the bottom of his shirt to wipe his forehead. "Even if you're right, there's no way we can play another game against them."

"Speak for yourself." Sam glared at Callen and then gestured between himself, Kensi and Deeks. "I'm more than capable of taking them on by myself. And if they aren't up to it, they'll just have to forfeit."

"Oh, we are more than up to it-"

"Uh guys," they all turned at the interruption to find Eric in the doorway. His completely lack of whistles, songs, or unusual greetings combined with his grave expression was enough for Kensi to know something serious had happened. "You need to come up to OPS right now."

"We got a case?" Callen asked and Eric's gaze flicked to Kensi for a second before he answered.

"Not exactly." Kensi looked to Deeks, feeling her throat tighten with concern as he turned back to them. "Five minutes ago we received a picture message from an anonymous number. Kensi, someone abducted your mom."

A/N: Duh, duh, duh.

Also, I know nothing about basketball, so any inaccuracies are google's fault.
