Ch 1
At the height of the Rebellion, the Ghost crew was on another mission against the Galactic Empire.
This time it was to rescue Jedi Knight Cal Kestis from Fortress Inquisitorious on planet Nur.
"This base is different from all the other ones we've been on." Ezra Bridger said.
He was disguised as a stormtrooper along with fellow Jedi Kanan Jarrus and Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren.
"I'm sure this mission will be a piece of cake." Sabine replied. "As long as we don't meet any Inquisitors."
Ezra and Sabine were just friends so far but Ezra had a huge crush on Sabine ever since day one and he just didn't have the courage to ask her out yet but he was working on it.
"We just need to focus and not slip up." Kanan said.
Further ahead in the dark fortress, the trio reached the prison floor where there was only one stormtrooper on guard.
Ezra used a blaster pistol to stun the trooper as Kanan unlocked Cal Kestis' cell.
Cal was a Jedi who was about the same age as Kanan with red hair and a beard.
"Are you Cal Kestis?" Kanan asked.
"Who's asking?" Cal asked.
"We're from the Rebel Alliance." Ezra said. "We're here to free you."
"Great." Cal replied as he got up with his droid, BD-1.
"Cute droid." Sabine said. "What's his name?"
"That is BD-1." Cal replied. "He's been my friend ever since I've met him."
The group went to the hangar bay and dozens of stormtroopers spotted them soon enough.
"There they are, blast them!" one ordered.
The troopers fired but Ezra, Cal, and Kanan deflected the blaster bolts into the troopers as Sabine knocked down more troopers with her twin blaster bolts.
Another squad of stormtroopers and a Purge trooper wielding an electrostaff arrived.
Cal dueled the Purge trooper and blocked all his strikes, then used Force Stasis to freeze him and cut him down.
"What are those troopers?" Ezra asked.
"Purge troopers." Cal said. "Their only purpose is to hunt Jedi."
"Ezra Bridger!" a familiar voice called out.
The Jedi and Sabine turned around to see the Third Brother, a helmeted Inquisitor with a long cloak.
"Never saw you before." Ezra said.
"You may call me Third Brother." the Inquisitor replied. "You led the prisoner right to me. And now I will kill him and the rest of you."
The Third Brother ignited his red double-blade and charged.
Sabine fired her blasters but the Inquisitor batted them aside and Force pushed Sabine into a parked TIE fighter.
"Ugh!" Sabine groaned in pain as she slid down.
"Sabine!" Ezra shouted.
The Third Brother was about to swing his blade down on Sabine when Ezra blocked the crimson blade and pushed back with his emerald saber.
"Stay away from her!" Ezra yelled.
"How touching." the Third Brother taunted as the duel began.
Sabine was both surprised and grateful.
She'd never seen Ezra so combative and protective before.
Red and green lines split the air as sparks flew. Sabers spun, parried, and clashed.
Then the Third Brother sent Ezra flying with a Force push and Ezra landed flat on his back.
The Third Brother raised his blade and swung down but then Kanan blocked with his blue saber and Force pushed the Inquisitor away.
Then the Third Brother got back up and more stormtroopers poured in as the heroes were slowly driven to the edge of the hangar bay.
Suddenly, red lasers created huge explosions that sent many stormtroopers flying but the Third Brother plunged his saber into the floor and held his ground.
"Come on!" Zeb urged.
Ezra, Sabine, Cal, BD-1, and Kanan all jumped onto the Ghost and it flew off, leaving blaster fire from stormtroopers to cut nothing but air.
After the narrow escape, the Mantis crew came to Yavin 4 and reunited with Cal.
They were made up of a four-armed Latero named Greez Dritus and a Nightsister named Merrin and now they had joined the Rebel Alliance with Cal.
Ezra was on the way to his room when he met Sabine.
"Hey." Ezra said.
"Hey." Sabine replied. "Thanks. Thanks for saving me."
Ezra nodded. "No problem."
"That was… wow. Where'd you learn to fight like that?"
"I don't know. I guess I won because I was so scared."
"What were you scared of?"
"I was scared of losing my friend. I was scared of losing you."
Then Ezra lowered his head.
"Hey."
Ezra looked up at the sound of Sabine's voice.
"As long as I live, you will never lose me." Sabine said. "We will always have each other."
When their lips met, a spark ignited inside both of them as Sabine gently pushed Ezra into a wall and they bravely kissed with passion and comfort as the room rang out with the sounds of love.
Ezra and Sabine would always stick together.
