Disclaimer: By now I'm sure you'll have noticed that each part of the Blaze special shows a specific part of Blaze's life in Twin Flame Island. The first part was him realizing he loved Wave's hard working lifestyle after they mutually fell in love. The second part was about the battle Blaze fought in to help protect Twin Flame Island. And this part will be about how Blaze and Wave settled down and had a family. I can't show every detail for obvious reasons, but I'll try to get the highlights of their relationship the best I can.
Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.
Paw Patrol X: Blaze Part Three
One year after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze was looking to Colin after seeing Wave standing at the end of the dock. Colin gave him a thumbs up before sitting down and turning on the music. Blaze walked forward after Wave heard the romantic music and looked back at him. As Blaze walked up to Wave, she noticed how happy and nervous at the same time he looked. She smiled back at him, and Blaze was then revealed to be holding a small box behind his back. "You look beautiful as always Wave."
"Thank you sweetie. You look very handsome yourself." Wave stated back, and then Blaze cleared his throat as he began.
"Wave... when I first met you, it wasn't the most ideal scenario. A total gas if you will." Wave laughed a bit at Blaze's pun as Blaze then started spilling his guts to her. "Even so, ever since we met, I felt a fiery passion for you like nothing before. You hold everything beautiful about Twin Flame Island that made me stay, and you multiply it ten fold. You saw past my flaws and coached me through every mistake I made in the most patient and loving way possible. You're my biggest reason for waking up every morning to get through this challenging task we call life."
Blaze then knelt down on one knee, surprising Wave when he pulled out a small black box. 'Don't drop it; don't drop it; don't drop it!' Blaze opened up the box, revealing a beautiful 1.50 carat diamond ring. "Wave Marshall..." Blaze did his best not to choke as he asked Wave the biggest question of his life. "Will you marry me?"
Wave was beyond happy and started cheering with glee after Blaze handed her the ring. "Yes! I'll marry you ten thousand times! Is there a limit!?" Blaze nodded his head no with a laugh as he and Wave then hugged, making Blaze smile as Wave put the ring on. He then saw Colin, who was cheering for Blaze as the two lovers embraced.
Two years after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze was practicing his guitar playing on the couch as Wave came into the living room with some big news. She was so excited that she jumped onto the couch when she started telling him. "Blaze! It happened!" Blaze set his guitar down and was ready to listen, but Wave didn't hesitate and showing him right away. She couldn't control herself when showing Blaze her positive pregnancy test. "WE'RE GOING TO BE PARENTS!"
Blaze was overjoyed and began hugging Wave, who wrapped her arms around him with the same amount of joy. "Oh my god; yes! Baby, this is going to be the greatest thing ever!" Blaze then started getting anxious, pulling Wave away as he expressed this to her. "Do you think the baby will like me? What if I drop her?"
Blaze continued to express his concern with Wave kissing his cheek to comfort him before assuring him of how well he'd do. "Don't worry too hard Blaze. I know you're going to be an amazing father." Wave then had to admit something that started confronting her as well, snorting a bit as she did. "I'll be honest though; I'm really worried about this too. I hope I don't raise her the wrong way."
"That won't happen." Blaze assured Wave, kissing her back as he let her know how much he believed in her. "You showed me the right path perfectly. I don't see why it'd be any different with our child." Wave hugged Wave back, leading to the two of them sharing a passionate kiss to continue celebrating the news.
Three years after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze was carrying a baby Dalmatian down the stairs of the house he now lived in with her and Wave. He gulped as he started going down them, fearing the possibility of slipping. He'd already almost dropped her several times. Without Wave's support, he might have severely hurt her already. And it mortified him to the point of tears every time. Wave was standing there supportively as she watched Blaze come down, believing in him with all her heart.
Blaze looked at his infant daughter's peaceful smile as the Dalmatian relaxed in her father's arms. His protective instincts kicked in again, and it led to him hesitating at first. He quickly caught himself however once he slipped, narrowly managing to avoid another wipeout. The outcome shocked both him and Wave. However, Blaze kept going, and as he went down the last of the stairs, he and Wave were overjoyed. Blaze finally managed to carry his daughter down the stairs on his own. Blaze felt beyond proud of himself as Wave hugged both him and the Dalmatian.
Blaze and Wave looked at their baby with Blaze joking about his quirks. "I sincerely hope Margareth takes more after you." Wave kissed Blaze lovingly, showing she'd be okay with it if it were the other way around.
Four years after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze was currently in his bedroom on his day off, and his butt broke a mirror with his gas when he turned around and startled him...
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
...he looked back with concern when he saw this, and the last ten seconds of his fart finished, along with the yellow eggy cloud.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT
...After Blaze's fart was finished, he opened up a window and got an air freshener ready while calling Wave. She was at the store right now, so he hoped he was right about this not being too big of an inconvenience. Wave was currently taking a lollipop from Margareth when her phone started ringing. "No sweetie, we have to pay for that first." Wave put the candy bar away with Margareth pouting as Wave saw who was calling. "Your father's calling. This will be quick." Wave answered the call and happily greeted her husband. "Hi honey. Enjoying your day off?"
"Hi sweetie. And yeah, I am." Blaze responded, and then he looked back at the mirror as he confessed to what he'd just done. "Although, you know that really long fart I started after I got home yesterday? I just finished it."
"At twelve hours!?" Wave exclaimed with surprise, taking the shopping cart and pushing it with Margareth listening to what her mother was saying. "Are you okay?"
"Believe it or not, it felt completely normal the whole time." Blaze admitted, and then he brought up what he wanted to tell Wave. "However, right as I was finishing it up, I kind of... farted on the mirror and broke it."
Wave sighed, not being upset with Blaze, but being more annoyed about the fact that he broke a mirror. With his farting no less. "Let me guess. You want me to see if I can buy a new mirror while I'm out here since I'm already shopping."
"Well... yeah." Blaze then got worried he would be stressing Wave out and assured her that he was okay with it if she didn't. "If not, that's okay;" Wave smiled while rolling her eyes in response to Blaze's turn around. "I can afford it, I just figured since you were already out-"
"I'm on it. Love you sweetie." Wave interrupted, making Blaze relieved at the way she responded. Not that he expected a lashing out mind you.
"Love you too sweetheart. And thanks. And, I'm sorry about the mirror." Blaze apologized, glad that Wave was so understanding about the mirror.
Five years after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze and Wave were shown to be in the park together while watching Margareth playing with some other toddlers. Wave was very clearly anxious, and Blaze could see that. She was very protective of Margareth, and she wasn't the best at handling her anxiety when it came to this kind of stuff. Blaze placed a paw on hers, catching her attention, along with smiling to show how laid back he was about this. Seeing how calm Blaze was definitely helped Wave, but she still hoped Margareth wouldn't get hurt while playing.
Wave opened up to Blaze about how she was feeling, since Margareth wasn't there to hear it. "It's just that this is the first time she's been playing without us there to make sure she's safe."
"We're still pretty close by." Blaze pointed out as Margareth started playing catch with a male toddler and his ball. "And she's tough. Something she got from us." As the two watched their daughter playing safely, Wave leaned on Blaze's shoulder with Blaze wrapping his arm around her as she did.
Six years after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze was being interviewed on TV with Wave and Margareth watching as the reporter gave Blaze the floor. "Now Blaze, there's no guarantee there will never be another attack on Twin Flame Island. Do you have a plan for if they continue after your absence?"
Wave held Margareth snugly as Blaze made his response to the reporter's question. "I do actually. I can't say how successful it will be, but I've been making something with the scientists of the Twin Flame Island Protection Force." Wave smiled when looking down at Margareth, and kept her smile when looking back up at the TV. "Make no mistake. Even after I die, my time helping this town won't. Of course, whether or not my daughter join the force is up to her." Blaze winked to Wave and Margareth, who were both glad to see his time on the news.
Seven years after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze was reaching for something under the couch with his butt pointed out as Margareth into the living room. "Daddy, daddy! Come see what I drew!"
"Be right there cupcake. I dropped something under the couch again." Margareth walked over to her father to help, only for Blaze to release...
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT
...a loud and bassy ten second fart, making his butt vibrate as he sent Margareth rolling backward with a big green cloud of rotten fish. Despite smiling proudly from the fart, after Blaze pulled out his guitar pick, he looked back and realized what he did after setting it on the coffee table. He rushed over to his daughter, who was still recovering from the fart. He picked her up and took her to get the fart scent washed off. "I'm so sorry Margareth! Are you okay!?"
"Yeah, I'm okay." Margareth assured her father, and then she showed him the picture she drew. "Look at what I drew." Blaze got a look at the picture, which was of him, Wave, and Margareth with their soon to be second child. He smiled and genuinely complimented the drawing while trying not to choke at how beautiful the thoughts it gave him were. "It's beautiful cupcake." Margareth smiled and giggled with joy, glad that she was able to make her father happy. Especially after he accidentally farted on her.
Eight years after Blaze and Wave started dating, an infant Dalmatian was shown walking on all fours in the living room with Blaze and Wave ecstatic as Margareth watched beside them with a smile. Blaze and Wave could barely contain their excitement with Blaze encouraging the baby to crawl to him. "Come on Marshall! Come to daddy! Come to daddy!" Marshall struggled a little, but he smiled and kept moving rather than falling down. He managed to reach his father, who held him up into the air after picking him up. "You did it! You finished your first walk!"
Marshall laughed with joy over his success as Wave then picked Margareth up on her request. Margareth smiled when looking at Marshall, recalling something Wave told her about babies. "Does that means he's close to two leg walking too?"
"It sure does sweetie." Wave confirmed, nuzzling Margareth as she stated how Marshall starting to walk could play a big part in the family, just like Margareth did. And he just might be able to keep up with you if he keeps this up."
Margareth looked at Marshall as she brought that to his attention. "Ya hear that Marshall? You'll be a walking pro in no time!"
Marshall laughed again with Blaze rubbing Margareth's head affectionately when responding to that statement. "Let's not go too far Cupcake. He has my genes after all."
"Yeah, but you don't see ME tripping on my own two feet every day." Margareth reminded Blaze, who chuckled a bit as Margareth looked at Marshall while showing the same level of kindness her parents do. "And even if he does become a master foot tripper, he'll still be the best little brother in the world!" Blaze and Wave looked to each other with big smiles on their faces. It was clear to them that they really were raising good kids right there.
Nine years after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze was helping Margareth get her grip on a Tee-Ball bat. "And once you have your grip on the bat, keep your eye on the ball." Blaze backed up a little to let Margareth do her swing, which she got ready for after setting her sights on the ball. After readying her bat, she made an epic swing and hit the ball off the Tee no problem. Blaze was so proud of Margareth that he ran up and started hugging her affectionately. "That's my girl! You'll be ready for baseball in no time!"
Margareth laughed in response, hugging her father before they went to go pick up the baseball. "I sure hope so."
Margareth picked up the ball with Wave coming over to her wife and daughter while holding Marshall in her paws. "Once again, my three favorite people are all in the same place as me." Blaze and Margareth smiled as Wave walked over to them with Marshall happily reaching for his father. "How are my lovely husband and daughter doing?"
"Quite smashing, thank you my lovely wife." Blaze answered Wave handed Marshall to her. As he rubbed his son's head, he started telling Wave how good Margareth was doing with her Tee-Ball practice. "You should've seen the way Margareth hit that ball. I can see her going pro if she wants to one day!"
"Daddy, it was only the first swing." Margareth reminded her father, holding the bat over her shoulder as she did.
Wave knelt down to Margareth and rubbed her head with affection while assuring her that all progress was good progress. "And that will forever be your first step into the world of something you really love."
Blaze then decided to get back to Wave on something she'd been asking him about for a few days now. "Wave. You know how you asked me about having another baby three days ago?" Wave took Blaze's free paw as Margareth got excited for what the answer would be. "I've made up my mind. I'd love to."
Wave was overjoyed by this news with Margareth chiming in with the same kind of joy. "Does that mean Marshall and I are getting another younger sibling!?"
"It dues does sweetie!" Wave answered, nuzzling Blaze in joy over the idea of bringing another life into the family.
Nine and a half months after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze was searching frantically for Wave in the forest near Twin Flame Island. "Wave!? Waaaaave!" Blaze continued searching with pure horror in his eyes before spotting Wave in the middle of the forest with Miranda. She was performing some kind of spell, and from the looks of it, Wave was pregnant. Was she under the belief this was to help her? The smile Miranda saw on Wave's face said otherwise. Blaze rushed in and pushed Wave out of the way just as Miranda led a poisonous air wave towards his wife. "WAVE!"
Blaze ended up getting hit by the air wave, which suddenly made him weaker. Wave was horrified when she looked at him and saw the sick look in his eyes. When he fell to his knees and started coughing, Wave ran up to Blaze in horror. "BLAZE!"
The horror and guilt in Wave's eyes surrounded her as Miranda laughed over how this went. "Even better!"
Wave clenched her fist and glared at Miranda, calling her out for her deception. "You said this would help my baby survive!"
"And you blindly believed me?" Miranda shot back, turning around and walking away with her job having been made. "Get it through your thick skull Wave. Your friend is gone! And Blaze will be too! One day after his child is set to born! If it lives that is!" As Miranda walked off with her scorpion army, Wave looked into Blaze's eyes with fear surrounding every bit of them. Blaze held her paws and gave her the most loving eyes he could muster. Even with the mistake she made that would later cost him his life, he only had eternal love for his loving wife.
Ten years after Blaze and Wave started dating, Blaze and his family were arriving home with Blaze holding their new baby in his arms. The sight of his youngest child bright a whole world of warmth into his eyes. "Welcome home Flare. This is where you're gonna grow up." Even though he knew what was coming tomorrow, he wasn't going to let that stop him from enjoying his time with his son. Bringing him home was just the start of that. And he was going to make this a day for all of his family. "Now then. What do you guys want to do with Flare first?"
"Oh!" Marshall exclaimed, running over to the bookshelf in the living room, only to trip over his own two feet. "Whoa!" As he rolled into the couch, the rest of the family showed concern for his safety. However, he sat up, showing himself to barely be affected by the tumble. "I'm okay!"
The rest of the family were relieved as they went over to Marshall, who Blaze knelt down to and took the time to praise for his quick rebound. "It's a good thing you're tough."
Marshall felt his confidence elevated from that comment. It made him even more excited to show them a video he wanted Flare to see. "Flawe watch!"
Wave knelt down and saw the tape, grabbing it for Blaze and Margareth to see that it was a tape of one of Blaze's heroic acts. They were all more than happy to see this with Margareth expressing her love for the idea. "Great idea Marshall! Flare should get at least one viewing of what dad's like."
Marshall laughed gleefully as he and the family went over to the couch after Wave put the video in. "Alright everyone. This is the time of your father's first mission in the Twin Flame Island Protection Force." Wave put the video in before walking back over to her family and sitting next to Margareth, who was now in between her and Marshall. The four of them started watching the video, which showed Blaze kicking a soldier into the water. Blaze covered Flare's eyes when the finisher came. He could watch that kind of violence when he was a little older.
Blaze was helping Wave make lunch; and was leaving the cooking to her while he took care of the appliances and other stuff. As Blaze was being extra careful with setting the table, Wave spoke up about something that alarmed him. "I talked to Bruno about the spell halting chamber." Blaze flinched, almost dropping one of the plates before catching it and setting it down gently. "He said the offer's still up."
Blaze set the last plate down before bringing up his decision when walking over to Wave. "I've made up my mind Wave. I don't want to risk letting the rest of my life be in a chamber." Blaze stood next to Wave as he brought up what Bruno told him. "I talked to Bruno last week, and he said he understood. Remember?"
"Of course." Wave assured Blaze, expressing her concern for him as she held in her tears. She did this both to avoid tainting the food, and to stay strong for him and their kids. "It's just so scary to think of life without you. The kids would grow up without their father." That ate Blaze up inside, especially because of what Wave mentioned next. "Flare wouldn't even get to know what you look like." Wave set the knife down and looked at Blaze, hoping he knew she wasn't blaming him for his decision. "We're going to lose you and it's all my fault!"
Blaze took his wife's paws, not wanting her to beat herself up for what happened. "You were tricked Wave. You were blinded by your desires, and Miranda took advantage of that. And if it weren't you, it would've been someone else. It doesn't say anything about you... other than you're human." Blaze hugged his wife and finished his love filled pep talk with some words of comfort. "If I could go back to when I saved you from her spell... I'd jump in front of it all over again."
Wave started crying and wrapped her arms around Blaze, who smiled while shedding a tear of joy in response to her love. He then noticed the stove getting hot and turned it off before a fire could start. He wasn't about to make Wave work while she was emotional. She had to let this out.
After lunch, Blaze was playing with superheroes Marshall and Margareth as Wave was trying to put Flare to sleep for a nap. As they were playing, Marshall accidentally tripped and fell with his butt pointed up as he did. Blaze stopped running around as the superhero and went to Marshall to help him up, but as Margareth went behind Marshall, the young Dalmatian unintentionally released...
PFFFFFFFFFFT
...a loud and ripe five second fart, making his butt vibrate as he hit Margareth with a green cloud of moldy cheese. Marshall realized who he farted on and turned around after standing up while apologizing and blushing while Margareth was coughing."Sowwy; sowwy!"
Blaze put a paw on Marshall's head with Marshall looking up as he saw his devious grin. "I think you know what I have to do now." Marshall and Margareth got worried, as they knew what Blaze was about to do. The grown Dalmatian raised his paws, the right one with the index finger pointed out. He then put his fingers on said index finger, smirking to his children as he pulled it with his butt shown to be pointed out and unleashed...
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
...a loud and bassy thirty second fart that made his butt vibrate as he filled the room with a big green cloud of spoiled meat and cheese. Marshall and Margareth coughed and gagged from the fart surrounding them, even with the open window letting the noxious fumes out. Wave then entered the room to remind the three to play more quietly. "Come on you three; turn it down in here please. I have to get Flare to sleep."
"Sorry sweetheart. We'll get right on that." Blaze assured Wave, rubbing Marshall and Margareth's heads as the two continued coughing, but smiled as Blaze spoke up again. "And hopefully this won't make bath time harder." Wave wafted the fart scent away when it got to her, but smiled at how Blaze was spending as much time with his children as he could.
Later that evening, Wave and the others were waiting for Blaze, who came in with a guitar and a brown teddy bear. The Dalmatian almost choked when looking at the teddy bear, but he kept his smile and handed it to Wave, who was holding Flare. "Flare... this is for you." Flare giggled when he saw the teddy bear. If only he was old enough to reach for it. Blaze sat down with his family by the chair, since the couch was taken up.
Wave was interested in why Blaze was getting the family all ready just before bed time. "It's almost seven thirty Blaze. Flare and Marshall have to go to bed soon."
"Don't worry Wave. This won't be too long." Blaze made sure his guitar was properly tuned as he told the family what the song was about. "As you all know... I'm dying tomorrow. And the only other option is for me to live in a chamber that will keep me alive, which will also be the only place you'll ever see me again. I don't want to put you through that. At least if I die... you'll know what my fate will be."
Margareth expressed her sorrow over her father's soon to be fate. Blaze could feel the heartbreak in his daughter's eyes. "Daddy. I don't want you to die."
Blaze did his best not to cry himself, as he shared the same heartbreak as his daughter, and the rest of his family. "I know cupcake. Me neither." Wave then held up his guitar as he got ready to sing something he wrote for his family. "That's why I wrote this song. I wanted to give you all one final gift before I moved on from this world. Something that comes straight from my heart, with all the love I can muster." Blaze started playing his guitar as he looked to Flare... the one he most regretted leaving, due to how soon it was. "I'm doing this for you the most Flare."
After playing for a few more seconds, Blaze sang the same song Marshall would sing when the family were bonding over him seven years later: Just A Little Longer. This version was much more melancholic and soft than Marshall's version. "Even with not much time left, I still love you; no matter what. Even after I pass on, I'll always love you; no matter what." Despite the melancholic tone, Flare smiled, seemingly feeling the happy undertone of the song. "Even though I won't be here for you, I'll still watch over you from above. Because my family, including you, I belove."
Marshall had tears in his eyes, but smiled as he continued listening as Blaze continued singing. He remembered his father's supportive words to do so. "Some choices, in my life, lead to outcomes I regret. But this family, and how it grew, since your mother and I met."
Margareth held Wave's paw while shedding a tear, allowing Wave to comfort her while smiling in response to Blaze's song. "Don't ever think, you mean anything less, than everything to me. I only wish, the time in which you grew, was something that I could see."
Wave looked down at Flare as she remembered the promise she made to herself that she would never give up on her children. Even after Blaze died, she would do everything she could to put them on the right path. And with that, she continued listening to Blaze's song. "I sadly won't be here, I wish I could be, just a little longer. There's so much in your life, that I won't be here to see."
Blaze looked at his family with a smile while holding his tears back until the song was over. "I wish I could be here for you longer... just a little longer. But at least I can tell you, the chance to say goodbye... even if it's because I'm going to die... that no matter what... you mean the world to me."
Blaze set his guitar down and allowed the song to sink in as he looked at his family with love in his eyes. They were also filled with sadness, because he wouldn't get much more time with them. But they were also filled with joy, because he got to say goodbye. As sad as he was to have to let them go, the fact that he was able to spend one last day with them was an incredible feeling. And even if his time with Flare was short... he couldn't have asked for a better day to spend with his third and final child, than the day he and Wave brought him into this world.
Blaze stood up and went over to his family to hug them, doing so by wrapping his arms around Wave; making sure not to hurt Flare as he did so. Marshall and Margareth also hugged their parents, with everyone except for Flare, crying. Blaze looked to see Flare smiling to him, showing the pure innocence he held. He hoped he would be able to keep this level of joy as life went forward. As he looked at his newborn, he began speaking with his voice playing over the scene.
'I'm sorry I had to leave you like this.'
Later that night, Blaze was writing a letter to his wife and children, and he continued to speak over the scene as he wrote it. 'You all mean everything to me. I love you more than life itself. The last thing I've ever wanted is to cause you pain.' Blaze was feeling sorrow as he was writing the letter. It clearly broke him to write it. 'I hoped to give all of you a happy life, one different from what Uncle Pongo and I had growing up.'
Blaze spoke about what he and Pongo endured in the next part of his letter. 'We had a loving mother... but she didn't last. We had a father... but he didn't love us back. We tried to survive... but it never got any easier.' Blaze looked at his sleeping wife, which made him smile as he started writing about her. 'Then I met you Wave. When I came to Twin Flame Island, it started as a mission. But you showed me everything I never even knew I wanted. You showed me love. Value in hard work. And even when I betrayed Slash, you still believed in me.'
Blaze dedicated the next part of the letter to expressing how Wave made him feel every day. 'You're the first canine to ever make me feel loved since Pongo. You helped me find humor in my flaws and make it easier to find joy in myself rather than embarrassment. You made me feel as if living a happy life and starting a family was possible.'
The next part of the letter was dedicated to Blaze expressing what his children meant to him. 'And what beautiful children we added to said family. Margareth. You helped me feel the urge to show you as much love and protection as possible. It made me proud to be a father. Marshall. You showed me the same determination that I held onto when I defended Twin Flame Island from my mistakes. I know you'll use that tenacity for good. And Flare... even though I didn't get to be in your life for very long... I just know the joy you've shown me will stay with you forever.'
Blaze finished up the letter to explain why he was going to do what he did next. 'I asked your mother to hide this letter; not because I didn't want you to read it, but because I wanted that to wait until you were all ready. And I know by the time you read this, you'll understand everything. Wave, I couldn't have asked for a better soulmate. Margareth, you'll always be my little cupcake. Marshall, it's a good thing you're tough. Flare, the joy I felt from holding you made spending my final day alive with you worth it.'
The last part of the letter was what made Blaze start crying tears in a mixture of joy and sadness. 'Whether in life... or death... I'll always watch over you.' And with that, Blaze finished the letter and sealed it in the same envelope he would have Wave hide later on. He then picked up the phone and called the hospital, knowing that he'd want the chance to say goodbye in person as well. He spoke over the scene again as he held the phone up to his ear.
"My only wish, is that in the future, you're all still happy."
A flatline was heard as soon as the scene changed to Blaze dying with a crying smile in his hospital bed while holding Flare... confirming those words for his family to be his final words. Marshall, Margareth, and Wave were all devastated and started crying with Wave picking Flare up. Flare didn't quite understand what was going on, due to only being an infant. By some miracle, he was still here despite Wave's tough pregnancy with him. Sadly, despite all of his children holding his determination... that wasn't enough to stop him from a spell caused death.
Marshall looked at Flare in Wave's arms, and upon looking at him, he felt his protective instincts kicking in. He wanted Flare to have a happy life, just like their father wanted for all of them. And Marshall was going to make sure that happened. Whether it be teaching him right and wrong, supporting him through thick and thin, or just being there when he needed a shoulder to cry on... Marshall was going to do everything he could to give Flare the happy life he deserved.
Ten years later: August 11th...
Marshall was sleeping in bed again with Flare, who now went by F.M., hopping onto his bunk and waking her brother up. "Happy birthday Marshall!" Marshall looked at his younger sister, who was beaming while holding the teddy bear Blaze gave her, now named Princess Chocolate. Marshall was now thirteen as of today, and F.M. was ten. It was clear that Marshall was doing good on his goal to make her happy. F.M. then jumped off the bunk to let Marshal get up himself. "Come on sleepyhead. We gotta catch the ferry."
"Yeah, I know." Marshall assured F.M., having a pun in mind for after he stood up. "Stepping foot in Twin Flame Island as a teenager. That's gonna be a ferry exciting moment."
F.M. giggled at the pun as she expressed something else she was excited about regarding Marshall. "And you're finally gonna get your big dog bark! That's gonna be the coolest thing in the world!"
Marshall laughed a bit while smiling as he left the room with F.M.. "So long as everyone get along long enough to see it." F.M. knew what Marshall was talking about, particularly with the most recent change in their lives. Still; she was optimistic that everything would go well. And as she held Princess Chocolate, she thought to herself about how hard she would work to make Marshall's thirteenth birthday his best birthday yet. And she wasn't about to let potential drama stop her.
F.M.'s story continues in the Land and Sea arc.
