Credits/Bloopers/Future Events Chapter!
Events That Were Originally Gonna Happen But Didn't:
-Honey was gonna die. I couldn't think of a good way for she and Tadashi to break up at first, so she would have died in the first attack on the Lucky Cat (the one in which she killed all the North Koreans). But I felt bad since I'd already blown her arm off.
-Obake was gonna have an epic scene where he crushed Baymax's chip in front of everyone. But I couldn't work it in…I hope it was still epic.
-Originally, Obake, Jeong, and GoGo weren't all gonna be siblings. I was gonna have Jeong have an OC for her sister, but Fred was still gonna fall in love with her.
-Obake was also not even in the story originally. It would have just ended with Rinah's death and then been cut off.
-Resistance was originally gonna be one part.
-It was also originally gonna be two parts.
-And three parts.
-And five parts.
-But then I settled on four.
-Tadashi was gonna be a spy for the USA, not North Korea.
-I was gonna kill Liv and Krei in an epic scene in Into The West where they go for a moonlight stroll, where Krei proposes. Obake catches them and Krei tries to shoot him (to end the war obviously), but Liv throws herself in front of the bullet in order to stop Krei from becoming a murderer. Krei, overcome with guilt, shoots himself in the head and then no one knows what happened to them until the last battle, when Obake tells them. Kinda glad I didn't put that in—Liv and Krei are so cute.
-The Lucky Cat was supposed to make it through the whole story. Haha, nope.
-Hiro, Megan, and Tadashi were gonna have a much longer stay in the labor camp, where much of the story would take place.
-Meg was gonna burn down SFAI, too. I'm really glad I took that part out.
-Remember that random North Korean soldier from the beginning of Until All Light Fades, Hyun? He's the one who takes Baymax away? Yeah, he was gonna be the villain. I'm really glad I took that part out.
Events I May Or May Not Have Forgotten (Thankfully, There Are Not Very Many Of These):
-I did forget about Mochi for like thirteen chapters. He's been moving around with Big Hero 6 (remember they got him out of the Lucky Cat and then we didn't see him again until Basemax?). Don't worry, he's okay.
-Remember the inscription on the wall of the Amphitheater? The one that translates to "this is the end?" I forgot to explain how it got there (originally there was a LOT more Obake dialogue in the last battle, during which he told them all this, but I couldn't work it in). Rinah and Obake had to avoid communications whenever they could, because everyone thought Obake had died in Countdown To Catastrophe, so the inscription was a coded message from Rinah to her brother about where to put the bombs once he was done manufacturing them.
-Obake made the bombs. (I just decided that.)
-Didn't really forget this one, just thought I'd make it clear. No, Obake doesn't have brain damage. It was a cover-up, an alibi, a clever ruse. Seems like something he'd do.
-I killed everyone in this fic that was single.
-Big Hero 6's FlexiRex was destroyed in the final battle. Sorry, you guys.
-I have no idea how Hiro has so many 3D printing supplies. I doubt he had enough to make everything he does, but whatever. That's artistic license for you.
-Yeah, Momokase's name has been spelled wrong for the last seven hundred pages of fanfiction. Deal with it. I'll spell it right from now on.
-No idea why the rest of the countries of NATO didn't come to America's aid. I may have broken the organization's constitution. Or maybe North Korea just scared them off.
Events That Will Happen After Resistance Is Over:
-Momokase and Tadashi do get married, and Hiro is indeed their best man.
-Liv and Krei get married, too, and they rebuild Sycorax and KreiTech. I'm thinking maybe they join companies.
-Hiro does internships at both companies, because he's cool that way.
-Wasabi and Honey get married ASAP, and they have their baby. It's a boy, and his name is Frederick Robert No-Ginger. Of course, they call him Fred, because why not.
-Pretty much everyone has PTSD. Hiro's is probably the worst, though. Poor thing.
-Pretty much everyone needs therapy.
-They obviously rebuild San Fransokyo.
-Remember how Rinah's last words were to Hiro, asking him to forgive her? After a lot of work and therapy, Hiro actually does forgive her. I think he'd want to do that.
-Megan and Hiro will get married, one day.
-Big Hero 6 is still on, and they have to keep fighting crime. Great.
-After SFIT is rebuilt, a monument is erected in the center of campus, showing where World War Three ended and listing the names of everyone who died in the war. Thankfully, there were not that many casualties for such a big war.
-Heathcliff and Mini-Max go to live in the Fredericksons' mansion all by themselves. They deserve it.
-Hiro, Tadashi, Momokase, and Mochi live in the reconstructed Lucky Cat, and Megan…I don't know where Megan lives. Maybe she lives at the Lucky Cat, too, because she has nowhere else to go.
-Honey and Wasabi live in Honey and GoGo's old apartment.
-Liv and Krei live on, I don't know, a private island.
-Everyone leads wonderful lives! Yay!
Fun Facts:
-Resistance was completed at 427 pages, 33 chapters, and 156,802 words.
-Until All Light Fades was 91 pages, Skyfall was 94 pages, Shattered Sun was 142 pages, and Into The West was 100 pages exactly. So happy about that :)
-I looked through all my old records (emails, publishing dates…) and discovered that I began this story on March 19, 2023. It has taken me 127 days!
-World War Three lasted forty-nine days, from July 4th, 2033 to August 15th, 2033. In total, Resistance lasted fifty days, because there's like a whole day at the end.
-Hiro did grow past five feet. Barely.
-America has the second-largest arsenal of nuclear warheads in the world, so they could have easily taken out North Korea. Whatever.
-In my church, The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, we believe that killing in war is not murder, because it's in defense of your country. This is why I felt it would be okay to have Tadashi kill Obake, because his soul wouldn't be doomed to eternal heckfire and darnation (Yeah, I'm from Utah).
Credits (This Is My Favorite Part):
Resistance is dedicated to:
-First and foremost, God. I know He helped me to come up with a great story idea, and I'm grateful for the computers so I could write it. Besides, one theme in this story (or at least in the final battle) is that God fights on the side of the righteous.
-Second, the incredible Marvel author Man Of Action. Thank you for the comics that inspired the greatest movie of all time, and for the characters that inspired the wonderful people featured here.
-Don Hall, Chris Williams, and their team for creating the aforementioned greatest movie of all time—and the hottest Disney character of all time. Tadashi wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys.
-My sister, Helena, for the amazing Momokase perspectives and fantastic planning. I couldn't have done this without you. Well, maybe I could have, but it wouldn't have been nearly as epic.
-Silvie, for being my most diligent reviewer. You are amazing, and I really appreciate you! I would love to hear what you think about the story as a whole!
-Disneymagic, for always loving my writing and for helping me gain deeper insights into Hiro and Tadashi's interactions! You are awesome!
-My little brother and sister, for being so interested in my story! It was fun telling you every detail of Resistance, and I'm excited to have you read it one day (when you're a little older because it's actually quite dark haha)!
-My faithful computers, for being my link to FanFiction and Word. Yes, you are craptops, as my chemistry teacher calls you, but you work, and you have done your job well.
-My wonderful readers, all of you! Thank you so much for reading Resistance, and I'm thankful for your support through the last ten months of my fanfic writing!
-Living Scriptures, because I stole two lines from them (many kudos to anyone who can find them and tell me what they're from)
-Timothy Robert Shortell (Until All Light Fades), Adele (Skyfall), Vindsvept (Shattered Sun), and Peter Hollens (Into The West) for the titles of each part of Resistance! These people all have wonderful songs that worked so well for my story, and I'm eternally grateful!
-And of course, to my OUTSTANDING protagonists, Hiro and Tadashi Hamada! I love you, boys! This story would have been nothing without you, and you have both taught me so much about love and trust and kindness. I'm sorry I put you and the team through sooooooooo much pain and suffering…but it's over (for now! I have more ideas)! You guys are the BEST!
Until next time, my friends…
PEACE OUT!
