Hi! This story is getting quite popular on Wattpad so I pushed myself to get you guys another chapter. I'm so sorry it's short. :( Not gonna lie, since it's been quite a while since I've updated, it's kinda hard for me to continue. I get unsure of what to write so small little chapters are what I can do now. I hope you guys will understand and support me. I do appreciate all your reviews! It really helps me and pushes me to write more as I write for all of you guys.

I don't own anything.

Chapter 10

"Again"

Namiki huffed as sweat dripped down her face. Blinking rapidly in hopes of chasing the tears away. Everything hurts and was familiar.

She gasped as she flew backward, her sword clanging against the wall and fell next to her. The weapon she had made with her power was now flickering and soon disappeared. Try as she may, Namiki couldn't pick herself up no matter how hard she tried. She clenched her eyes shut as footsteps came to her and paused in front of her hands. He bent down, slamming his sword down by her head, causing her to jolt in fear.

"Lost like you've gotten weak since the last time," Dr. Yukki commented in a gentle voice. Namiki kept her eyes on the floor. It wasn't like she could answer him anyway.

"You know.." Dr. Yukki gently petted her hair, combing the slight sweat away, "Everything we do is for your safety." Namiki shook her head slightly, anger spreading across her chest.

That's what they've always told her. At first, she believed in them…until she found out the truth. She was never created for life, instead, she was made for war.

Her eyes widened in pain as Dr. Yukki pulled her eyes to his level. He smiled at her, warmth in his eyes. With his silver hair - not much different than her own- cool blue eyes, and warm smile, he was the picture of love and trust. But underneath the placid smile, there lived a much crueler man who would stop at nothing in raising the perfect weapon. After all, he was created to make her stronger than him. In a way, everything he did was truly for her. He always did tell her she was his favorite.

"I'm sorry dearie," he whispered, "but the world is a cruel place."

Namiki thought about Damian, Dick, Tim, Jason, Bruce, and Alfred.

No, it's more beautiful than anything.

"I should know," He gently put her down, picking up his sword and placing it in front of her crouched form, "I made the same mistake."

And he swung.

3 week later

"I found something!" Tim jumped out of his chair. Within a second, Damian and Dick raced to him.

"Explain," Damian said. Tim rolled his eyes, of course not a single thank you from him.

"How a thank you," He grumbled out but zoomed in on his newfound information.

"Anyway, I hacked into the main system and was able to find a spreadsheet containing the different children in their bases. Surprisely, they had a leak in their system if you can believe it." Tim explained, his hand shaking towards the screen, "though I'm not sure how accurate it is since it has been a year since they've updated."

"Nice going, Tim" Dick clapped his younger brother's back, a proud smile spreading over his face. Tim smiled, "But according to it, it looks like she's located in Tohoku, Japan."

Damian shook his head, "That's not possible. How could she have possibly traveled all the way from there to Gotham?"

Tim shrugged, "Maybe she got some kind of power? After all, Jin Serie is a research center that alters the genes of children. There's no telling how they messed her up." Dick nodded in agreement, remembering the fear in the girl's eyes and the books flying around her.

Damian narrowed his eyes, "I have not seen her possess any power while being here."

Maybe she hid it from me. A bitter thought came to him.

Dick let silence roam for a bit before he gently patted Damian's back, "Whatever it is, it doesn't matter until we get her back."

He was right, with every second they were talking, it was one second they could have been searching for her.

"I'll go call Bruce and update him," Dick grabbed his phone, "and hopefully we can leave in a few hours."

"How's…" Kyoya glanced at Dr. Yukki with paper in his hands, "dearie doing?" For the longest time, Dr. Yukki always picked the names of the children, including Kyoya's. However, Dr. Yukki didn't give names just to anyone, he only gave them to those who earned their names through a series of tests. It was his gift to them before they joined him in his line of work helping him. Any children without a name were called "dear" but Namiki was special to him. Whether it was her similar appearance to him or her special power, he had taken a special liking to her and refused to give a name and let her join his work. Instead, she continued to be his "dearie", hidden from the true world. She was his little princess in a cage.

To save himself from trouble, Kyoya never told him of her new name. It took quite a bit of time, but Dr. Yukki was slowly trusting him again and he couldn't afford to break that yet. It was at this time, her muteness saved him the trouble.

Dr. Yukki glanced up from his paperwork with a cold gaze. Kyoya forced himself to hold his gaze. He became winter as soon as he left his dearie, "She lost her previous strength but I'm training her again."

Kyoya nodded and plopped the paper on his desk. That much he knew. It looks like he had to check for himself. He hasn't seen her in a while.

He turned to leave.

"Kyoya," he paused and glanced at the Doctor.

"You better not make the same mistake again. Or you'll go back to the room." Kyoya shuddered, remembering the darkness, the nightmares, the pain, and the blood.

"Of course Doctor."

"There, all fix," the nurse hummed as wrapped Namaki's arm with medical tape. She nodded and pushed herself off the medical bed. Since she was gone for quite some time, Dr. Yukki was quick to remind her of her training by forcing her to train nonstop. It was to help to be in "top shape" as he had said. Within seconds of her medical check-up, two guards came to her, ready to take her back to wherever the doctor had wanted her.

Everything was back to normal, it seems. The restriction, the suffocation, and the numbness of just not caring anymore.

She wanted to escape, she tried. But the building had suppressed her power to the point she could only do the basics. She couldn't go anywhere because the distance was too far for her weak power. If she wanted to do anything, she would have to be outside of the building. But that was impossible with guards watching her every move.

There was no time when she could do anything. Dr. Yukki kept her busy every day. Not even the night was her as he made to induce her to sleep.

She was back all right.

Nothing was hers.

Not even her own thoughts.

"Here, take it," commanded Kyoya, his eyes above her head with pills in his hand.

Namaiki nodded and grabbed it.

She had tried to refuse it at first, but that had led to him forcing her to take it. After that, Dr. Yukki always watched through the cameras to make sure she took it if he wasn't there to watch her in person.

Kyoya watched as she sat down and swallowed the pills. Less than 10 seconds later, her breathing slowed and she fell asleep.

He glanced at the camera and placed himself in front of the camera.

He reached out and smooths her baby hair back.

"Don't worry, they're coming."

"Is everyone ready?" Dick sings out as he tightens his seatbelt.

Answers of agreement met his ears and he chuckled. It's been a while since their last family trip.

The bat family all strapped themselves in their plane, ready for their one trip to Japan.

Damian stared outside through the window with determination in his eyes. It had taken them way too long to find her but now they were coming.

"Just a little longer," he whispered.

And done! I really hope you enjoy this! The next chapter should conclude this arc and she should be back home. After that, I hope just do little daily life stories where she's getting used to everything. There might be big arcs somewhere, but we shall see how my brain goes. :)
