Chapter 15, Party Invitations: Bow reads the letter Parakarry delivered to her.

"Dear Bow, when I first saw you. I felt something that I never felt with anyone before I tried to ignore it...but I couldn't forget. I was captivated by your beauty and charm. Whenever I see you smile, it made me a happy koopa. As time passed, I fell even deeper in love. This whole time I've spent worrying how I would make it into your heart. I never thought a lady like yourself could ever feel anything for a guy like me. That's why I only admired you from a distance when we were traveling with the rest of the party. I thought if you knew how I really felt about you, you'd stop talking to me, or worse. When I held you in my arms for the first time, I felt like I was holding my world. Whenever I am with you, every moment feels extra special. When I look at your eyes. I feel as if I could spend eternity watching you. Your kindness. Your beauty. Your boldness. Your smile. You're just everything to me. You telling me how you felt about me was a wish came true. Everyday I thank the Star Spirits that we crossed paths. There isn't anything that I won't do if you ever need me, no matter how far away I am. My heart belongs solely to you, and I always intend to keep it for you.

Love, Parakarry."

Bow read the letter over and over again. Her smile grew each time she read it. "That dork..." She thought to herself. She loved it, she truly did. But she still had a bit of fear of her feelings toward Parakarry. Afterall, this is the first time where she truly felt something special. So many suitors had confessed her love for her, but she never felt anything like how she felt with Parakarry. She loved him unconditionally. He's the one she wants to spend forever with. She needed to see him again. Now. She wanted to tell him how much she loved the letter. But she wasn't sure where he'd be at the moment. She then got an idea.

"Bootler! Get one of my ballgowns ready." The lady called. She'll meet him at the Star Gala. Hopefully he'd be there.

"Yes, m'lady." The butler goes to pick a dress for her.

Parakarry looked at the letter Bootler gave to him. "Goompa." He said to himself. He hasn't seen Goombario in a long while, it wouldn't hurt to pay a visit. He was sure he had a few letters for him as well. He flew in the direction leading to Goomba village. At the village Goombario was playing with his little sister outside.

"Goombario!" Parakarry called. The goomba kid looked up. Parakarry flew towards him. "You have quite a bit of mail." Parakarry gives him the letters. One of them had a rose taped to it.

"Woah! I never thought I would have so many fangirls write to me." He said.

"That's only because they don't know how annoying you really are." Goombaria said.

"Oh shush." Goombario said. Parakarry laughed at little at the petty fight. "Is grandfather inside, Goombario?"

"He is. I can go get him."

"It's fine, I'll give him his letter inside." The paratroopa flew inside the house. Goompa was reading a book while Gooma was knitting something.

"Goompa?" Parakarry said. The elderly goomba looked up from his book.

"You have a letter." He gives it to him.

"Oh it's from Bootler. I have another letter to give to him. I have one for Koopa Koot as well. Could you mail them for me please?"

"Of course."

Goompa got up and rummaged through one of the shelves. He found the letters. He gave them to the paratroopa. Parakarry put the letters in his bag and flew to Koopa Village. He knocked on the door to Koopa Koot's house. The old Koopa answers.

"Hello young feller. Are you here to do me a favor."

"I'm not...but I do have a letter for you." He gives it to him. Koopa Koot squints looking at it.

"Ah from Goompa, eh? So you are here to do me a favor. Could you deliver this to him?" The old koopa slowly walked over to a table, and came back giving the paratroopa the letter. Parakarry takes it and puts it in his mailbag.

"I'll make sure it gets to him." He said.

"Thank you young man." He closes the door. Parakarry rummaged through the mail bag. He knew he had some mail for Kooper and Bombette in here. He went to Kooper's house and put the letters in his mailbox. He looked at his house. He hasn't heard from the two for quite some time. He knocked on the door.

"They're not here." A female green shelled koopa with blonde hair said. She had on a pink jumpsuit, a necklace made of pearls, a pink designer bag slung over her shoulder, and white wedges.

"Oh. Do you know when they're coming back?"

"I don't know. It's been about a month since they left. They said something about exploring Prism Island."

"Prism Island? Where is that?" Parakarry wondered to himself. If Kooper and Bombette ever came back he could always ask.

"I thought it was going end up like Kolorado and Kalifornia. You know, with him being never home while she worries about him nonstop. But it seems like Kooper's girlfriend likes exploring as much as him. That could be one way to fix their marriage. Kalifornia should just go travel with Kolorado. Either that, or divorce. I don't why she doesn't just do that. But then again divorces are quite expensive. Besides, it would probably be a waste of time and coins, since Kolorado probably wouldn't show up for the court date because he's out exploring some desert, island, or abandoned palace." The koopa went on. This woman's attitude made Parakarry a little nervous. "Also you broke my tea set. I opened the box it came in and everything was broken. The box said fragile in big letters." She sneered. So this was Katherine Koopa.

"I apologize for that ma'am. But I promise you I was really gentle with the package. It might have broke while it was being shipped."

"Yeah. Sure." She said in a sarcastic tone. "Don't let it happen again. That was supposed to be a gift for my daughter." Kathrine left. Parakarry sighed relieved she had nothing more to say. He wasn't sure how long he'd last had that conversation went on. He'd rather deal with Kamala than her. Speaking of, he had to find time to meet with her before she started calling him again. Plus a part of him did want to apologize. Kamala was just worried about Parakara, and she is dealing with her terrible marriage and home life. He could meet with her after meeting with Mr. Spinner but he needed to find out when he can schedule a meeting with him. For now, he had to worry about the mail. He would have to look at his schedule when he's off duty. He flew into the air, it was crisp and the gentle breeze felt wonderful. He flew over to Peach's castle. He could see tables in covers patterned with glittery stars in the courtyard. Star shaped balloons that shimmered in the sunlight. Parakarry imagined how beautiful they would look in the dark. Peach was outside looking at the decorations. She wanted tomorrow night to be amazing. She looked up and saw Parakarry in the air. She waved at him.

"Parakarry!" She called. Parakarry flew down towards her.

"Good day, your highness."

"Good day to you too." Peach said before giving him an invitation. "Could you give this to Mario? I would love to see him at the party. You're coming too right?" She asked.

"Of course! There's someone I want you to meet."

"Oh really? Who is it?"

"Parakara, she's my niece."

Peach gasped. "You're an uncle? I didn't know that. How old is she?"

"She's 15."

"When is her birthday? I would love to throw a sweet 16 for her."

"No, you don't have to do that. Besides, she's really shy at parties."

"But I insist. You did so much for my kingdom. If she's your niece I'm sure she's a lovely koopa." Peach said.

"Would you believe me if I said it was on February 14th?"

"Valentine's day? She sounds even more delightful! And what does she look like?" Peach leaned forward.

"She has purple hair and blue eyes."

"I bet she's very cute. So is it okay that I throw a party for her? It would be perfect for Valentine's Day!" Peach says excitedly.

"I don't think I'll be able to change your mind. So it's a yes."

"Wonderful! Oh Parakarry. Could you deliver these for me as well?" Peach asked giving him invitations to Goombario, Kooper, Bombette, Bow, Watt, Sushie, and Lakilester. "I sent yours to the post office."

"Will do your highness." Parakarry placed them in his bag. He would have to ask the postmaster to send Kooper's and Bombette's invitation to the post office in Prism Island. He hoped the invitations would get to them on time. It would be nice to see them again.

"I don't know if it's out of range for you but..." Peach gives him an invitation for Princess Daisy. "I want to surprise Luigi."

"No problem your highness. The postmaster will send it to the post office in Sarasaland, and the mail carrier for that kingdom will mail it to her." Parakarry explained, Peach beamed.

"Thank you so much! I really appreciate it."

"I'm just doing my job your highness." Parakarry smiled at her before flying back into the air. He went to the post office to drop off Bombette's, Kooper's, and Daisy's invitation.

"You have an invitation from Peach as well." The postmaster said.

"I know. She told me before giving them to me. I'll pick it up and the other letters when I'm done." Parakarry answered.

"Sure thing."

He left the post office and went back on his mail route flying all over the Mushroom kingdom delivering messages, letters, and packages. He landed on top of a hill overlooking the kingdom. He found a letter next to a rock. It was one of his missing letters. Hopefully he came across the others. Parakarry picked it up. It was a letter from Goombario to Merluvlee.

"Goombario..." Parakarry thought to himself as he put it in his mailbag. The letter made him think about how he wouldn't stop fawning over Misstar while they were inside an erupting volcano. When it got close to noon, he decided to grab something to eat at Club 64. He looked at the menu outside.

Today's Menu
Sailor's Lunch Special
Mushroom Pasta
Seafood Soup
Seafood Salad

Parakarry decided to go with the mushroom pasta. He'd probably get hungry again from delivering letters if he picked the soup or salad. He went inside and was seated by a toad waitress. He noticed there were only six toads inside. Two of them were sitting alone; one sat at a booth; and three sat at a nearby table. He asked for mushroom pasta and a glass of water. The waitress took his order. She wrote it down then gave it to the cook. The waitress came back with a basket of breadsticks. "Breadsticks while you wait." She left again. Parakarry picked up a breadstick and took a bite. The bread tasted so good. It was soft, warm, and buttery. After about 20 minutes, a waitress brought Parakarry's order. "Here we are Sir." The waitress said handing him a glass of water, a plate of mushroom pasta. There was also a grilled fish on top of a bed of rice, and a small bowl of seafood soup. "Enjoy sir."

"I didn't order the fish, or the soup." Parakarry said.

"It's the special of the day. It's on the house. You did help save our kingdom." She smiled before leaving. Parakarry felt strange getting special treatment sometimes. Even though he did help Mario rescue Peach and returned the Star Rod. He still saw himself as an ordinary guy. He ate his food, listening to the pop diva sing. He needed to find a day to take Parakara here. She'd probably be fascinated by the whale that came by the restaurant from time to time. He took a bite of the pasta. First he'll deliver the missing letter to Merluvlee and then deliver the invitations. He was already at Club 64. Might as well head to Lavalava Island after this. It would be easier to deliver Sushie's invitation first since she lived further than anyone else. If he found any missing letters along the way, he'll deliver them first thing in the morning. But then he thought about Mr. Spinner. Maybe he could catch him early morning and speak to him; and then go on his mail route. Teachers had to get up early as well to open up their classrooms right? Parakarry took a sip of the soup. Then Kamala came to mind. Parakarry really didn't want to meet with her; but maybe things would be better if he was able to meet with her after meeting with Mr. Spinner? Or maybe some other morning. Perhaps both would be in a better mood if the day was early. They could try to find common ground and try to get her to agree to have Parakara stay with him? He knew his father advised against it, but he didn't want to give up yet. He still wanted Parakara to be able to talk to her mother. Plus Kamala was like a big sister to him. She acted more like a sibling to him growing up than Karter ever did. Parakarry took a drink of the water. Then ate some of the fish.

"Enjoying everything, sir?" The waitress asked walking to him.

"Very much, thank you." He said. The waitress smiled and refilled his glass with water before leaving again. After Parakarry finished his meal, he paid for the mushroom pasta and left a tip. He leaves the restaurant flying into the air making his way to Lavalava Island.
