I wanna thank those who have given me input on the story, The ideas and suggestions and comments were great! I enjoyed this one and hope everyone will be satisfied with the end. By the way, if anyone is wanting to hear Stan's full song of Heidi, let me know and I will make it a separate story. I don't really have the energy to write everything all at once and I wanted to finish this story.

PS-There will be an Epilogue after this chapter.

Cheeks of Glitter

Chapter Twenty

"She doesn't like to see people get hurt," Stan muttered to himself as he made his way to the park. "But she's hurting me."

The boy thought long and hard all night and all morning about confronting Heidi. Then he heard from Kenny the next morning that Heidi tweeted something about going to the park.

There was no point in Stan waiting till Monday to talk to the girl. He needed all the time to get his feelings in order. However, something wasn't right.

Stan eventually got the word that Heidi didn't go to the dance the night before because "There was no reason too."

The boy glared as he entered the park, and thought about the song he worked so hard on to sing to the girl he cared about. THe girl who never intended on showing up.

"Maybe it's a sign." Stan couldn't finish with these words and thoughts when he felt a slight breeze, and instantly saw Heidi just about twenty feet away, sitting at her regular bench.

Stan had wanted to talk to Heidi for so long, but now that he saw her sitting there, deep in thought about who knows what, the boy thought it was probably not a good idea.

Still, he felt paralyzed as he tried to not stare at the girl, and slowly made his way over to her. His stomach flipped as he stopped, now standing only seven feet away.

Heidi didn't even glance at the boy, but she knew he was there. She was silent and still as she waited for him to say the first words. She felt there was no point in going to the dance, but that didn't mean that Stan had to give up.

Stan could only hear the wind blow as he felt a little dizzy before peering at the ground. She hurt me too much, he thought It's probably not meant to be.

After about a full minute, Heidi decided that there had been enough time for a conversation to start. Still, nobody spoke.

The girl slowly stood from the bench, and casually turned in Stan's direction before shifting forward.

Stan had his eyes on the ground, but he could feel the girl coming his way, waiting for her to say something.

However, it was far from what the boy had hoped for. Heidi passed him by without even a whisper, and practically tiptoed away.

That's when Stan realized that Heidi wasn't going to say anything to him. She was waiting for him to start. Although, Stan wasn't so sure it was a good idea. Perhaps it was better to just forget everything that happened.

Forget about Heidi. Forget about helping Stitch. Forget about convincing Wendy to help Stitch. Forget about Heidi saving Ike and heal Stan's best friend.

It was all…worth it! Stan figured. Everything that had happened between him and Heidi only made things better. I'm the man! I should be fixing this.

Stan instantly turned around to see Heidi continuing off, and without hesitation, shouted her name. "Heidi!" He didn't stop to think as he ran toward the girl, who had stopped in her tracks, and faced him.

Stan could see the shock and confusion in Heidi's eyes, and quickly threw his arms around her.

"Stan?" she said in a somewhat cute way. "Stan, what's going–"

"I'm so sorry," Stan interrupted as he continued to hold the girl. "I was selfish and being a baby. I wasn't patient enough. I should have listened to you and I should have trusted you!"

Heidi was stunned as the boy released her and stared into her eyes.

"I love you a lot, Heidi. You're more than the perfect girl. You did everything."

A few more seconds, and Heidi finally smiled in response before she gave him a sweet kiss on the lips. "It's okay, Stan. I know. I love you, too."

Stan grinned big before hugging Heidi once more, and then after a moment, the two walked off, hand in hand.

They were excited to show more to their friends, and see the rest of the world together.
