I don't PJO, HoO or ToA, and it's character all characters belong to Rick Riordan.
I only own the Original characters.
He followed them through the forest thinking to himself why did everything had to be so complicated, because the more he watched Perseus the more he started to doubt that if he truly stole his father's weapon.
Everything seemed to point out that his mother and grandmother were right; it seemed very likely that Poseidon was not the one his father was after, but at the same time, if it wasn't Poseidon, then who could it possibly be?
It didn't help that the demigods were dumb, because really, it wasn't suspicious at all that you found an Emporium in the middle of the woods, right?
He could hear the panic of the demigods; it seemed that they had found Medusa and were now battling with her. This was good news, as long as they could hold out, it meant that they were still alive.
That gave him time to think about this mission; would his father keep the end of his deal? Would he give him the freedom that he desired? Part of him wanted to believe yes, but another part wasn't so sure.
He leaned against a tree and sighed as he looked up.
It's not like he could run; his father would find him anyway and simply put him back in his grandmother's house. It wouldn't surprise him if he were watching him right now to make sure he did what was demanded of him.
Then he finally noticed that the sounds of fight stopped, meaning that either the demigods prevailed or that the were now more statues to Medusa's collection.
Well only one way to found out.
He started to walk towards the Emporium and searched for a window to see what has happened and when he found one, he saw that they managed to surprise him once more.
They actually managed to kill Medusa, she may not be a fighter but she was extremely deadly to demigods, and yet there they were all of them looking at an box trying to figure out what to do with it.
And then he saw the son of Poseidon writing something on a piece of paper, and when he finished he saw him put it on the box, and the satyr saying that the Olympians would find him impertinent, and then Jackson said.
"I am Impertinent"
The box then floated and disappeared.
Genji could not help but smile; the kid had potential, and he dropped the smile.
But even then, could he handle one of the Olympians if they decided to come down here to take their revenge on him? He didn't think so; as much as his mother dislikes most of the Olympians, even she acknowledges that they are a force to be reckoned with, and he is sure Perseus is not strong enough to fight any of them.
Thankfully he was in a quest and so they likely couldn't interfere at least not without pissing his father off, so for now Perseus was safe, for now.
He decided to go back to the woods when he saw them leaving the Emporium, and decided to once again tail them from a safe distance until he saw them arriving on clearing and deciding to camp there, not the best choice but beggers can't be chossers he guessed he kept his distance and surrounded himself with the Mist to make sure that nothing comes to bother him.
The next day was a weird one; he saw the Satyrs come with a dog, who said that they were their ticket to the West, and then he remembered that Satyrs could talk to animals. He saw them talking about a train at a station half a mile away from where they were. Luckily, he still had his backpack with the money in it, so buying a ticket for himself wouldn't be a problem. The problem would be keeping track of them without calling their attention.
He shook his head; they would have noticed by now, and besides, he could always simply say that he was just another passenger and that they were mistaken him for somebody else. With that in mind, he proceeded to follow them once more.
When they were buying the tickets he payed attention in which seats the were getting and decided to use the same tactic he used in the bus, close but not close enough, so that way he could keep an eye on them, while at the same time playing of as an clueless bystander, and so when they entered the train he sitted two rows behind them to make sure he couldn't lost them from his sight
And for a day it worked.
Until he realized in the next morning that he underestimated them.
When he woke up, the first thing he saw was a sword pointed at his face and Jackson staring at him.
He decided to play dumb.
"What are you doing?" he asked, trying to sound confused.
Jackson replied, "I know you've been following us."
"Excuse me?" he asked
"Who are you?" Jackson demanded in a low voice.
He said, "I don't know." He then felt a sting on his shoulder.
"Now we know that you're are not a mortal." said an invisible person on his side.
He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply.
He placed a finger on Jackson's sword and sent a static shock that forced him to drop it, and immediately took off the cap of the invisible person beside him, revealing the daughter of Athena herself staring at him.
She was holding a dagger, one that she had just used to poke him in the shoulder.
She asked, "So who are you? And why are you following us?"
"When did you notice me?" he asked in return.
"In the clearing, the poodle was able to sniff you and told Grover who then told us." She replied.
Then he looked and he saw that he was between the Son of Poseidon and the Daughter of Athena, and started to ponder over his options; he could beat the shit out of them, he could simply leave and watch them from a safe distance, or he could simply tell them the truth.
He sighed.
"Fine I will tell you two the truth." he said to the two demigods. " I'm here on a mission to retrieve the Master Bolt and since your boyfriend is the main suspect I decided to tail him until he slipped."
"He is not my boyfriend. /She is not my girlfriend." they said at the same time.
"Fine, whatever. Can you give me the weapon now, or will I have to take it from you two?" he asked.
"Okay, first we don't even know your name, and second we don't have that stupid weapon, which is why we are on this quest in the first place," Jackson replied.
Genji stared into Jackson's eyes and then sighed.
He said, "So you don't have it, great." He then started looking at the ceiling, thinking about what to do next.
"Who gave you this mission?" asked the girl.
"Who do you think, the big man himself," he replied.
Jackson said, "Maybe we can help you."
Genji raised an eyebrow in response to this.
He said, "We are both on the same mission; if you help us, we can help you too."
He pondered that, indeed it would be easier to follow them if he could simply stick close to them; it would make his job easier.
He decided, "Fine, I will join you three."
Great, my name is Percy," he said, pointing at himself. "And this one is Annabeth."
He looked over where he was pointing and found the gray eyes of the girl who had stabbed him in his shoulder.
Well, I guess it's only fair I introduce myself," he said before rising from his seat and looking at Percy. "My name is Genji."
Any constructive criticism is welcome.
