Life, Laziness, and Lack of ideas have beaten me. But here, something that I came up cuz I sit down and march on.

Universe: A Moving Violation: The Starting Line

Within the small countryside of Vale, Jaune sat on the bed of his room staring blankly at the piece of paper in his hand, the forged application to Beacon Academy. Why is he hesitant about going to Beacon and being a huntsman now? A knock on his door broke him of his musing.

"Jaune, would you please come downstairs there is someone who would like to meet you,"

"I-I'll be down in a sec,"

Jaune hurried to hide the application under his pillow as he rushed down the stairs. Going into his living room, three people sat. On the sofa are his parents, Johnathan and Sofia Arc, drinking tea, but it was their drinking companion sitting across from them that caught Jaune's attention. The only words to describe the unknown person would be a metal skeleton, a man with silver side-swept hair, a goatee, purple sunglasses, and a purple suit. Still, the most noticeable thing about the man would be the silver exoskeleton that he wore over his suit. A subtle whirling sound from the skeleton joints as he raises his cup of tea to his mouth to drink it. Noticing Jaune, his dad scooch over and beckons Jaune to sit between his parents.

"Jaune, I would like you to meet an old work friend of mine, Dr. Peter Tezla,"

"Hello Jaune," Tezla greeted, Jaune could only wave his hand in nervousness.

Taking a deep breath, Jonathan faces his son with a soft but stern expression, "Son, I know about your forged application,"

"Dad! Wha! Ho-"Jaune was about to defend himself but Jonathan held his hand up to stop Jaune from interrupting.

"One of your sisters saw you come home late at night carrying the application but that's not why I called you," Jonathan took a deep breath, "I know no matter what I said is not gonna stop you, so, I called Peter here and call in a favor he owns and he agreed,"

"I think I should explain the offer old friend," Tezla said, "You see Jaune, I recently discovered a new way of travel that could revolutionize how to transport help throughout Remnant, but it is not perfect."

Reaching the side of the chair, Jaune now noticed the brown bag resting beside the chair. Tezla pulls out a disk-like device and places it on the table. Pressing the middle of the disk, it springs up and opens three legs to stand as the top began to slide open, and with a subtle whirl shines a holographic projection of three drones in position creating an arc with a portal in the middle.

"Using a specific combination of gravity and hard-light dust, I manage to create a portal that allows ground vehicles to be transported to any place on Remnant, only if the vehicles reach 300 miles per hour or 483 kilometers per hour," Tezla explained, the projection shows a car speeding toward the portal as blue flames began to appear on the wheels and began to vibrate as a white glow surrounds as it sucks the vehicle into the portal. The same portal appears behind the drone portal and the car emerges from the portal.

Jaune is in awe by the display and explanation, "That is amazing," Jaune paused, "But... I'm not good with dust, where do I come in this?"

Tezla smiled, "Jaune, I offer you a place as my assistant and operator to my specialized group to combat the Grimms," Tezla offered, "You may not be proficient in dust, but that is not who I'm looking for, what I'm looking for is a good man who is trustworthy and has the quality of a leader. And I believe you Jaune are the one I'm looking for, will you join me Jaune?"

Jaune couldn't believe it. Just as he was having doubts about being a huntsman because of how immoral and shameful he felt about the length he would go to achieve his dream. A new opportunity arrived in front of him while not what he originally wanted, it still hold the same reason as why he wanted only this time, he felt no guilt in his conscious, no doubt, no regret. Jaune looks to his parent to receive a supporting nod from his father and a soft but same supporting smile from his mother. With these thoughts in mind, there is only one path that he takes.

Lani is staring at the door of a warehouse in front of her in skepticism. When Lani, a technical and mechanical engineer at Atlas, received an offer to work with Peter Tezla from her mentor, Doctor Polendina, who is a good friend of Doctor Tezla, Lani couldn't help but be hesitant to take the offer. But with encouragement from Doctor Polendina himself and her curious mind, Lani accepted the offer and headed straight to where the meeting takes place. Double-checking the piece of paper to see if she got the right place, Lani look around and steel herself and knock on the door.

Knock-Knock-Knock

A moment passed but no answer, Lani knock harder, and the same result. Getting annoyed, Lani decide to bang the door as hard as she can. Raising her hand, Lani with full force about to bang on the door.

"Doctor, I'm about to do a last minutes supply check,"

The door opened and stood a blond young man a year or two younger than her walked out of the door. Lani could only watch in horror as the man turn to face her Lani fist connected to the young man's face, effectively punching him hard. The man crouch down and held his face as he groan loudly in pain. Lani began to crouch beside him and apologize profusely.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

"Ahem,"

Looking up, Lani noticed the older man watching from inside in what she thinks is amusement.

"You must be Lani Tam, come in, Jaune there is no need for the supply check," Tezla said gesturing to come inside the warehouse. Lani was hesitant for a moment but a gesture and smile from the blond eased her a bit as she grab her luggage and follow them.

Inside the warehouse only lead Lani to be more confused. There is nothing within the warehouse, only something in the middle of the place covered in a tarp. Beside the tarp-covered object is a small control panel, which Tezla immediately went to.

"A quick introduction is in order, I am Doctor Peter Tezla, a specialist in dust application and engineering, and I believe you have met with my assistant," Tezla gestured to the blond who is still nursing his nose.

The blond weakly chuckled as he waved, "Quite intimately I think, don't worry about it, I'm Jaune, Jaune Arc, nice to meet you, I mostly help Doctor Tezla with whatever he needs me to do,"

"Umm... Hi, I'm Lani Tam, I'm an engineer too, Doctor Polendina also sends his regards," Lani said.

"Ah, how is Pietro, still revolutionizing the use of Aura?" Tezla asked.

"Ye-yes," Lani confirmed, "Doctor, you don't mind me asking, what is this project that my mentor kept quiet about?"

"Not here, this is only to pick you up so we can go to the project location, Jaune," Tezla said.

"On it," Jaune walked toward the carp-covered object and pull the cover. Under the tarp was a beautifully design car with metallic silver paint and a purple windshield. Jaune asked for her luggage and place them at the back of the car.

"The Nitrium, my car," Tezla said, standing beside Lanie as he gestured for her to enter the car. Sitting in the back seat and Tezla in the passenger seat, Lani watches as Jaune tinker with the panel before a sudden jolt surprised her. The platform the car and the panel descended as the hole closed up, a slight bump indicated that the descent stopped, the car facing a long dark cave. Jaune presses a single button on the panel, static electricity appears at the entrance of the cave. Jaune starts the car.

"You might want to prepare yourself," Jaune suggested as he slowly drive towards the static electricity.

Lani at first was confused, when the car make contact with the static Lani suddenly was pushed back into her seat because of the force of the car's sudden acceleration. Never been traveling this speed before, Lani watches as she saw the end of the tunnel fast approaching. Lani could only scream in terror. A purple and green static traveled at the end of the cave lighting up before a swirling blue portal appeared. A blue light surrounds the car and driver as Lani closed her eyes preparing herself for the inevitable impact. Waiting and waiting, Lani's panic became confusion as the impact never came.

"You may open your eyes, Lani,"

Slowly opening her eyes, Lani gasped in amazement. Right now, driving at a reasonable speed Lani watches as they are currently driving in the middle of a desert. Millions of questions began to pop up in her head. Then, Lani saw a black cube-like structure approaching. Entering the building is what Lani could only describe as a high-tech garage, a sphere of multiple monitors dangling in the middle of the area, Scaffolding attached to the wall of the structure all of which goes to what looks like an observation deck.

"Welcome to the Acceledrome, our main headquarters for the foreseeable future," Jaune said parking under the observatory deck.

"I know you probably have numerous amount of questions, but before I answer any of them there is a question I am inclined to ask?" Tezla asked, Lani could only nod as she was still speechless.

"How are you in building cars?"

See you next time (Hopefully in less than three months)
